New white rays shine through window and curtain just the same, showing the beauty of the many tan hues that weave together. The browns are as varied as sand dunes out dawn as pretty as the lightest of wood carried ashore upon windswept waves.
"Morgan!" he heard the continuous yells coming from downstairs, disturbing his sleep.
Tossing to the other side, the man rubbed his face as he yawned. The ring of the phone diverted his attention when he immediately answered it blurting out, "Tell me it's not on the news."
The overexcited male voice came from the other side of the phone, "Bro, you are so gone. You are so gone."
"Come on, Shawn. Please, don't say this, " he stood up, walking towards the windows as he raised the curtains.
The sun was up, it was midday when Morgan babbled.
"Please, brother. Do something..." when his best friend answered, "Mate, you were holding her hand."
"I don't care about anyone. But you can hear the noises coming from downstairs..." the door knocked as he turned to speak, "Yes?"
The doorknob twisted and a maid dressed in uniform walked in respectively.
"Mr Morgan, Mrs Colton wants to see you, " she spoke politely while he just gave a nod.
The maid looked around, her eyes gawking in awe.
It was a master bedroom with a King-sized bed and matching dressing table, standing mirror, a sofa set and a small door leading towards the wardrobe.
The furniture was in black matching with the wallpapers.
In short, it was a complete bachelor yet elegant man's untidy room.
And the cleaning will take the whole day.
"Alright, I'm coming, but tell me..." he held the phone a bit far from his ear and spoke with a twitched lip.
"Is she annoyed?"
"On the last level, " the maid answered politely.
"What?" Shawn spoke yelling and Morgan's attention was diverted again to the matter with his friend.
"Claim her your girlfriend..." the best friend gave him a brilliant idea.
"Claim it yours..." the wide grin on Morgan's face was the proof he thought of something.
Giving access to both floors, the stairs sweep even upwards. It's smooth slightly rounded bannister guides to the top floor.
Morgan rushed down in such a hurry when he was immediately paused seeing the familiar figure on the last step of the stairs.
"son..." she spoke in a sweet tone when Morgan let out a flirtatious smile and cupped both of her cubby cheeks as he spoke, "My Queen...my royal Queen...mother."
"Do not say this word... mother, " she was irritated, pointing a finger in Morgan's direction.
His eyes got fixed on the breakfast table as he walked passed by his mother, ignoring her babbling.
He grabbed the freshly cut apple from the dish and stuffed in his mouth.
"Since when is this going on?" his mother asked walking up to him as he shrugged his shoulders and blabbered something which his mother didn't understand as she said, "Oh, speak in English..."
"Mom... I just woke up...at least have some patience. Let me eat something, " he said stuffing his mouth again with the fruits.
"Oh, I thought your stomach might be full from last night as you enjoyed it very much...holding a girl's hand..." the taunt made him chuckle lightly and he shook his head.
"Oh, my Queen...my lady. That's not what you think it is, " he refused when both of them heard the cheerful tone of a male best friend.
Turning around Morgan saw it was his best friend, Shawn.
"She was Shawn's girlfriend, " Morgan blurted out when Shawn who was walking in, paused in his place while Morgan from behind asked for help, begging him.
"Shawn..." the woman said unbelievable when the guy turned to Morgan and spoke unaware, "Morgan..."
"Mother..." Morgan spoke hesitantly.
After a slight pause, he continued, "Uh-huh, mom. You are exaggerating him. Come on, in, brother, " he winked to his best friend who was giving him some deadly glares.
The three of them got seated on the sofa when Emma, Morgan's mother asked, "But if she is Shawn's girlfriend, why were you holding her hand?" the two men exchanged looks when Shawn spoke, "Say it, brother."
Morgan was quiet for a moment clearing his throat he spoke, "Well, mom. You see, the thing is..." Shawn made an attentive face as if he was eager to listen to his another lie.
Shawn knew his best friend was one of a clever.
"Shawn fought in the bar last night..."
"Oh, really?" Emma who was listening attentively to her son, turned to the other guy as she asked unaware.
"Really?" Shawn spoke suddenly and Morgan gave a certain nod saying, "Exactly."
"Absolutely..." Morgan's gestures made Shawn nodding.
"Well, that's good, Shawn. I am so glad for you..." Emma held the cup of hot coffee in her hand and spoke pleasantly.
Taking a sip, she continued, "At least one of your friends is getting into a relationship."
"The rest are just giving us heart aching news every morning..." this was a taunt, especially for Morgan Colton.
Pursing his lips in a thin line, he answered, "This is not my age of having a girlfriend, mom..."
"Morgan Colton, you are twenty seven...what is the definition of your age having a girlfriend?"
"Maybe, across fifty..." he thought then spoke making his best friend chuckle while his mother could only roll her beautiful blue eyes.
"You know, I will be a handsome sugar daddy...girls will drool over me..."
"They still do..." Shawn clicked his tongue.
"Nice daydreaming, boy. Now dress up and go...your father is waiting for you in the office..." his mother informed with a very wide smile on her face while Morgan's face was expressionless.
"Damn, mother. What is this, now?" he scoffed annoyed.
"You see, Shawn. This is his weakness and his father knows it. Poor child..." Emma shook her head in pity.
But Morgan knew this was his parents who were involved in this plot.
They deliberately ask him to come to the company so that he can handle the business, and he wasn't interested in it.
"Hurry, you have half an hour to get ready. Not a minute above that... the meeting is about to held."
Morgan stood up to walk the stairs when he could not stop, "And this is why they do this to me..."
"Bro, this story is so common in our friend circle...don't worry about it."
"Where you off to?" asked the best friend when Shawn just jumped on the comfy bed and answered, "I'm going to pick Lara up from the airport...she is coming back from France."
"Today?" asked Morgan walking in the washroom as he stripped off the briefs and stepped in the shower and opened the tap.
"Yeah, today is the day..." answered Shawn.
It was five minutes left to half an hour when he walked down the stairs with his best friend.
Dressed in his usual attire, a blue t-shirt with black jeans and a leather jacket, Morgan looked a bad boy.
"Boy, can't you ever just dress accordingly? You are going to the meeting...the clients will be there. Don't just insult your dad like this..."
While he was just passing by, his mother held his shoulder and said, "Come on..."
"Where are we going, mom?" he asked unaware when she just dragged him towards the stairs.
"Alright, bro. I'm off to the airport."
"Yes, Shawn. Thank you, say hello to Lara from our side..." Emma replied walking up the stairs with her son following her.
Another fifteen minutes had passed by when Emma sighed deeply, resting both of her arms on her waist, tapping the high heels on the marble floor.
"This will do..." she said with twitched lips.
"Are you sure, mother? Cause you have been saying this to the past twenty shirts..." he turned to look at his massive bed which was covered with the formal shirts.
"Yeah...black is your colour. Now, change it fast and come down."
''Thank you for getting me into trouble, mom!" he shouted before she closed the door stepping out.
This structure, gateway towers, is an office building with ten floors including a lower level and a penthouse. The twelve-story office building has a total of 11.400 square feet in surface area. The parking for this structure is compensated by a parking garage. The basement garage has 14 spaces, surface parking has 24 spaces, and the future garage has 300 spaces. There is two elevators adjacent to each other and another elevator located by the fire command centre. Apart from the elevators, there are two sets of stairs with access to all floors. In the lower floor, there is a mechanical room, a fire command centre, and domestic/fire water service.
Bored Morgan was greeted by the people there and he stepped out of the elevator on the top floor.
Walking towards the cabin of his father, he removed his dark shades and the female workers could not stop drooling over him.
He gave a flirtatious smile to the female workers and continue to walk to the cabin.
On his way, his eyes fixed on the tag outside the cabin of his mother and he saw the name.
"Morgan Colton..." he muttered under his breath.
So, now his father has carved his name outside the cabin. This old man has plans for his son.
Walking into the cabin, he greeted, "Hello, father..."
The old man who was talking on his phone, gestured him to stay quiet.
Making a boring face, he sits on the opposite side of the chair and put his keys on the table.
All the time, the eyes of his father could not leave him.
Just then the secretary came and asked, "what do you like to have, Mr Colton?"
Morgan had just parted his lips to speak when David Colton uttered, "I am Mr Colton. Don't spoil him calling him by this name..."
"I would like to have a coffee, please."
Morgan winked to the girl and then turned to face his father.
After the assistant went away, his father spoke, "Welcome to the company, son. You are officially..."
"Nah, dad. I think I'm good... I don't want to involve myself in the business and get my hair all white."
"You see, son. This hair did not get white sitting in this room..." the father pointed towards his white hair.
"This is of old age. And as you are my only son...you have every right to take over the business."
"But I am not interested..." Morgan simply answered.
"Son, do not think that if your mother has favoured you to come late today, I will not drag you to the board meeting."
The meeting started in five minutes, Morgan has just taken a sip of his coffee when the assistant came to inform, "Mr Colton, the clients are here."
The old man stood up and spoke, "Come on, son..."
He started walking and Morgan could only gawk at his father.
"Father, I haven't just finished my coffee, yet..."
"Do I care?" were the words of his father.
Sitting in the board room, Morgan was clicking the pen continuously while swirling his seat.
He was bored in between the bunch of professional people.
"Oh, I'm surrounded by idiots..." he muttered under his breath.
His father who was sitting right next to him has heard it and showed him the deadly stares.
When the meeting was finalized, the clients shook hands with David Colton and his son.
"We are pledged to work with the Coltons..." said the man.
"Of course, you are..." Morgan blurted out when his father just eyed him.
He must have said anything wrong.
"So, how was your first meeting?" asked David sipping his coffee.
The father asked everyone to leave the room, just his son was present there.
They were served coffee and it was a table talk going on between the father and a son.
"Dad, I think you manage the business very well. I cannot do this..."
"And see? I am late for the airport... I had to pick Lara..."
"Shawn had gone to pick the girl up...don't you worry. Please, see your life outside the bubble."
"There is so much more to do than to roam around the streets and nightclubs like bad boys..."
"Dad, I do business. It's just that...you won't understand what kind of business it is... so yeah..."
With that he stood up to walk away, leaving his father alone to think.
An idea popped on his mind as he dialled a number.
"Hello, love... I think I know exactly how to make our son a little attracted to the business."
The private jet landed under the crimson sky, the wind was not so cold or hot, it was nearly the sunset, the sun had gone to rest.
A girl stepped down in modern attire, her long blonde hair let loose in beautiful bouncy curls, her pink lips and rosy cheeks made her look like some sort of a beauty queen.
Her eyes were the hue of the new spring growth, bright and soft all at once. There were flecks of strength, of the kind of green that comes only as summer advances.
Wearing a black crop top with the matching jeans and a plaid coat, reaching down to her knees, the cap covered her head.
She was a modern woman.
Three cars were parked and a bunch of guys and girls were leaning back to it, waiting patiently for the girl who has just stepped down.
"You guys!" her voice was sweet and pleasant like a melody.
Shawn smiled and walked to her for a hug.
"Where is fucking Morgan?" the first thing she asked before hugging him when he was paused, spreading his arms for a hug.
"Oh, he had a meeting with his dad..." answered Shawn, a bit hesitant.
Lara pursed her lips in a thin line and hugged tightly to her best friend.
"Welcome back..." the guy softly kissed her cheeks.
"Thank you, " she smiled back.
Holding his hand, she made her way to the car and the driver pulled over.
"Let's go to our favourite restaurant. I'm starving for my caesar salad..." she took a deep breath with leaning back on the seat.
"Without Morgan?" the guy asked and she clicked her tongue, "Duh! No, I'm gonna call him."
"Lara, he is busy with his father in the meeting. Why don't we..." he was interrupted by the phone call when he fetched the phone from the pocket of his leather jacket.
Watching the name of the incoming caller he raised a brow and about to attend the call when Lara grabbed the phone off his hand and answered it.
"Hello, Shawn. I'm home from the boring meeting..." she heard him speaking when she let out a scoff.
"Fucking Morgan..." she uttered.
"Lara?" the unaware voice came from the other side of the phone.
"Yeah, it is me..." she replied back.
"Why don't you come and meet at our favourite restaurant?" she asked twitching her lips.
Morgan and Shawn both know that she wasn't asking but telling him to come.
"Of course, princess... on my way, " that was the positive answer from Morgan Colton.
Declining the line, she had the appealing smirk on her face.
The environment of the five-star restaurant was calm and people were dining there.
"I would love to have the..." before Lara could finish her sentence, the waiter immediately spoke, "Caesar salad and the detox drink, correct?"
Lara made an impressing face and slightly nodded.
Just then the handsome hunk stepped in the restaurant, his deep voice made Lara and Shawn turn around at once.
"Hello, princess..." his voice was pleasant.
Lara stood up to meet her best friend.
"How are you?" she asked in excitement.
"Our friend is a businessman, now, " Shawn joked.
Morgan scoffed and answered, "Not really?"
"What am I missing here?" Lara asked unaware.
The rest of the talks were done during dinner. Lara had invited all of her friend circle.
"You guys, I want to make a toast..." she raised her glass of wine in her hand and spoke pleasantly.
"Lara Smith is officially a certified wedding planner!" as soon as she spoke, the loud cheers echoed around the restaurant.
"Yay!"
"Congratulations, girl!"
"We have a wedding planner in the house, baby."
"Now, we have to get married, asap!"
The compliments were endless and she was being honoured by her friends.
"So, now that you are holding a degree..."
"I know what you're going to say. And yes, I am planning to open my personal office."
Lara sipped her drink as she answered to Morgan.
"To be honest, I think it would be a waste of time, " Morgan shrugged his strong shoulders.
"I don't think so..." Shawn immediately spoke.
"Oh, you guys. Don't just worry...I'm going to arrange both of y'all wedding for free."
After their little celebration, Lara and her friend circle was called at Morgan's by his mother.
"Welcome back, my dear..." Emma walked to the girl for a hug.
"Thank you, aunty. I've missed you..."
All of them settled on the sofas and were presented with hot coffees and teas.
"So, now that all of us are here. I want to reveal a little secret."
Emma was holding the cup of coffee when she smiled, sitting next to her rich husband.
The Morgan's were super-rich...David Morgan gave his family the very best luxurious life he could.
And right now, they are the richest family of the high society. Then comes the Blacks...which is Shawn's family.
Both of Shawn and Morgan's fathers were best friends and business partners in the past.
Then it was the Smiths...Lara's family.
The three families were friends from decades, so it practically makes their kids be best friends, too.
Studying in the same school and college, and even the university, only Lara was alone because of her interest in wedding planning.
And now that she got her degree along with the certificate, she will open her wedding planner office.
Shawn was sitting relaxed until Emma spoke, "Our son, Shawn is in love with a girl..."
The moment she spoke this, all of them gawked at her.
And Shawn's mother has her eyes all popped out of her skull, she was blank.
Coughing badly she just looked at her son, who was staring at his best friend, Morgan.
Lara immediately turned her face to Shawn who was gawking at Morgan who was also unaware of what's going on.
The gentlemen were calmly sitting but the ladies got uneasy, especially Mary, Shawn's mother.
"Emma, what are you saying?" Mary cleared her throat as she recovered from the sudden cough.
Before Emma could answer her, Mary continued, "My son is single and whenever he gets a girlfriend, he will tell me first. How are you sure that my son has a girlfriend and not yours?"
"And don't we all remember that it was your son who was holding hands with the girl outside the club..."
Emma was getting pissed. She was annoyed.
"Mary, mind your tongue, there, love..."
David and James exchanged frightened looks, both of their wives were heated.
There was a fight about to begin...
"What am I missing, dude?" Lara asked Shawn who shrugged his shoulders.
Clearing his throat, David spoke, "Emma, darling. Relax..."
"Yeah, Mary. We can talk about this matter..."
Then both of the women were calm the next moment.
The only unaware person there was Lara.
"How do you get to know this, Emma?" David asked as he tried his best to make the situation a bit relaxed.
"The kids told me, " Emma's answer was neutral.
"If the kids are serious with each other, then we must take the matter forward, " James sipped the coffee, crossing his left leg onto another.
Mary's sharp glares were killing Shawn deep down when he blurted out, "I am not that serious with her..."
"You are not?" Mary asked blurting out.
Shawn slightly shook his head.
Morgan was trying to stay quiet but the deadly gazes coming from the direction of his best friend was everything.
Lara gestured both of them to come to the kitchen when they stood up to walk out and when Lara asked, "What is going on with you two?"
"What?" Morgan pretended to be unaware.
"Oh, don't pretend, please. You both know that you are hiding something from me..." Lara crossed both of her hands to her chest.
Morgan and Shawn chuckled then Shawn spoke, "It was his idea..."
"He lied to everyone. That girl is not my girlfriend..."
"Oh, I get it..." with that they went back again to everyone.
David turned his face to his son and said, "Son, there's the new deal and you are going to work on it."
"Prepare yourself, you are going to meet them on Monday..."
Morgan looked at his mother as if to ask for help and she twitched her lips.
"I'm not going to work with him, dad..." was his simple answer.
"It's a she...son..." the moment David said this, he was eagerly waiting for his son's reaction.
The eyes of Morgan lit up with excitement and he cleared his throat.
"If you are not going to work with her, then I'm afraid I have to look after this..."
"No! No... I mean, I can help you, dad."
Shawn and Lara chuckled in a low voice while Morgan continued, "If that's what you want. I will listen to you, dad."
David and Emma exchanged looks, both of them knew that their son was interested in being around the females.
He was a womanizer and that's was the only way to bring him to the business.
"So, when's the wedding, Shawn?" Lara asked in a mocking tone when Shawn just eyed her.
Mary became a little sad when Shawn walked up to her and said, "Oh, mother. I swear I won't be hiding anything from you...and I'm not getting married..."
Mary smiled kissing her son's hand and all of them get back to chatting together.
It was midnight when Morgan was disturbed by his phone continuously ringing. Scoffing he just adjusted himself to grab his phone from the nightstand when he saw the name of the incoming caller, he cursed under his breath. In a sleepy voice, he uttered, "What is it, mother fucker?"
"It is all because of your mother and now my mother won't let me sleep in peace!" the impatient yet eager voice came through the other side. He opened his eyes and laid on his back from the stomach position and asked, "What do you mean, brother? What did I do?"
"The fucking lie you told about me dating that girl, dude."
Taking a deep breath, Morgan answered, "I thought the discussion was over..."
"Oh, sure it wasn't. The way she was glaring at me with that deadly look, I can tell you, bro...she wants me to get fucking married to that fucking girl."
"Fuck! I don't even know who that girl was..." Shawn was hell pissed. "I know....do you want me to introduce her to you? Damn, bro. She was so good in bed..." Morgan locked his lips, recalling the moment when he banged her. "Fuck it, Morgan. I'm talking about the trouble you caused me and you're talking about the fucking sex you had..." there came Shawn's annoying voice. "Alright, alright. Nigga, I know what to do..." he assured his best friend and after talking to him, he went back to sleep. Next morning, Emma and David went to have breakfast and was expecting their son. Putting a napkin on his lap, David looked up and asked his wife, "Is your prince not awake yet?"
Emma got hesitant for a moment...she asked him to wake up early and have breakfast with them...but he being the stubborn one. Emma knew that her husband was a hot-tempered person so was her son. And to avoid this kind of situations she pleads her son to listen to his father. "Leave him, David darling. Shawn was with him late at night...he must be feeling sleepy..."
David shook his head then looked to his wife as he uttered, "Emma, I don't believe the story the kids told us."
"What story?" Emma sipped the tea, the lady maid had poured for her. After the lady maid left the couple alone to enjoy their breakfast, David declared, "That girl who was holding our prince's hand was not Shawn's girlfriend..."
Emma put the cup of tea back to the table and crossed her hands together as she asked, "What do you mean, my dear?"
"I can't believe my som be that innocent to hold his best friend's girlfriend hand..."
"And right now I only have a little doubt, if I get the confirmation, Emma...I may not tolerate this once again. Your son has ruined all of my reputations. What is it with him being a playboy? Twenty-seven year old don't do this but they get settled."
"Darling, David...he has told us that he will be completing his education first..." the mother favoured her only son. "What kind of education is this, Emma? I never saw him going to university or reading any books...just gets ready and go out late at night. Also, our son has completed his studies. He can't fool me, Emma."
Emma was silent. She knew her husband was annoyed at their son.
What can she do other than supporting him?
"Alright, my dear. David, have your breakfast...don't get yourself annoyed."
When David went to his company, Emma immediately rushed upstairs in her high heels clicking on the marble stairs. "My son is such a fool..." she muttered as she twisted the doorknob and stepped in. Looking around she saw the room was covered with uttered darkness and the guy was peacefully asleep. "That little piece of..." after cursing under her breath, she shouted, "Morgan!"
He just moved his face to the other side when the bright rays of the sun went directly upon his handsome face and he groaned in sleep. "Stop groaning, young man! And get up at once!" she tapped her high heels on the marble floor, her hands crossed to her chest. Emma Colton was a beautiful woman, with deep blue eyes and hair like autumn breeze she was modern and a stylish lady. Dressed in knee-length dress, her slender figure was proof that she was a diet, conscious person.
"Morgan Colton! Get up at once!" the moment she yelled annoyingly, Morgan huffed and tossed as he leaned back on the back. "What is the emergency, mother?" he asked yawning. "Your father, young man...had gone office very angry..."
"Why? Did he not get breakfast on time?" he was still clueless. Emma was getting furious. She favours him every time and yet he has no idea what she's talking about. "What did your father ask you last night, my dear handsome prince?" she was sweet this very moment. This made him realise that he has to go to the company to meet the clients. The way he looked at his mother, the scariness on his handsome sleepy face made his mother smile in a way that it could be made him more frightened. "Shit! Mom, I forgot!" he stood up to rush to the washroom. Emma knows that her son only sleeps in his briefs, nothing else. And she makes sure not to send the lady maids to his room or near him. Looking at the messy room with the empty bottles of wine, she shook her head before heading out of his room. "Carl?" Emma called out and a man wearing a professional suit with white gloves and a bow attached on the collar of his shirt, immediately walked to her, giving a slight bow to the lady boss, he asked, "Yes, madam?"
"Send someone to clean the room of master Colton..." she ordered before walking down the stairs. Morgan rushed down the stairs when his mother was only having a coffee, chilling in the living room. Carl walked to her and informed politely, "Mrs Colton, Mrs Black is here..."
"Mom! Please call dad and ask him..." Morgan was interrupted by his mother, "Boy, just go. I've talked to him."
The way his mother assured him, he was one lucky brat. Morgan had just stepped in his father's cabin when he heard some people talking. His annoyed face has changed into a calm one when he heard the sweet voice of a female. Raising his head he cleared his throat and the girl turned around. "Ah! There is my son. Morgan, please come in..." exclaimed David Colton. The girl had just gawked at him.
Morgan Colton was bot the average guy but he was the handsome and a hot guy. With his biceps pumped to his shirt, he was wearing the navy blue shirt with first two buttons remained opened of it, the sleeves rolled up. His pants were fitted and the black loafers he was wearing made him look like some ravishing kind of a guy. His deep mesmerizing eyes were fixed on her and somehow the environment got hotter.
"This is our new partner and she will be working with you on a certain project."
Morgan stepped forward while the girl stood up and turned around. Her figure came across to his sight and his deep blue eyes were blazing with fire.
He had thought about it and soon she will be laying under him with her breaths high. Reaching out to offer her hand for a shake, she uttered, "Sophie..."
"Morgan..." he was confident much. While gazing her he rubbed her hand with his only thumb and she let out a smile. This, of course, was his way to flirt or to tell the woman that he is interested in her. "So, now. You both go to the board room and start your work."
David who was leaning back on his chair smirked then declared. Morgan asked her to go out first and before turning to go back he just winked at his dad. David slightly shook his head and buried himself back to work. Morgan was listening to Sophie when his phone rang and he excused himself. Walking to the corner, he answered the phone, "Yeah bro?"
"Where you at, man? You were supposed to dealing right now..."
Morgan closed his eyes for a second as he forgot that he had to make a deal. "Bro, I'm at the company right now."
"So what about the deal?" Shawn's voice came from the other side of the phone. "Trust me, the deal I am handling at the moment is worthy of all..." peeking a look at the beautiful girl, he told his friend. "I'm sorry, Sophie..." with that they were back to work. An hour passed by and Morgan and Sophie were working on a project in the board room and right next to the room was the cabin of David Colton.
And he was watching his son flirting with the girl, from time to time. "Two days..." Morgan exclaimed when their work was done and the girl was going back. "I'm sorry?" she asked unaware. "We will get along very well in two days, " he spoke confidently. Smiling widely and beautifully the girl waved him goodbye before stepping in the car. "Back to work, baby..." he muttered under his breath as he waved to the guard to bring his car. Morgan went directly to the nightclub, his father owns and stepped in. It was seven in the evening the club was slowly getting fill with people and he went to his friends. "Where is the guy, bro?" he asked Shawn after meeting all of his guy friends. "He must be here..." Shawn answered looking around then pointed to his left side. Morgan walked to the guy and asked, "Hey, you here for Mary Jane?"
The guy gave a slight nod to Morgan and he fetched a small plastic-wrapped up with all the cartoonist images. "What is this?" asked the guy as he put the plastic in his pocket. "Bro, this is the original stuff. Now go away, " he answered. Morgan and all the guys were having drinks with weed when Shawn saw Lara was coming in their direction. "Hide it! Lara is coming!" Shawn announced immediately. He was in a panic. Morgan leaned back on the sofa as he rolled the weed in a cigarette. He wasn't afraid of anything or anyone. Lara greeted them then turned to sit next to Morgan. "Hello, guys. What are you doing?" she asked happily. All the guys were quiet. She did not know that her childhood best friend, Morgan is a drug dealer. "And Morgan. You still smoke?" she asked with a raised brow. Poor girl didn't know that he was having hash.
Shawn raised both of his brows and clicked his tongue when another guy named Ray exclaimed, "Lara, when are you having the opening ceremony of your company?"
"Soon...very soon."
Crossing her leg onto another, she continued, "Shawn and Morgan, you guys have to come with me..."
Morgan had just looked on his right side, at the door when he immediately stood up and threw the cigarette on the glass table. Shawn rapidly put off the burning cigarette and all of them saw how Morgan adjusted his appearance before going to the girl. Clearing his throat and shrugging his black biker jacket, he commented, "You look beautiful tonight..."
Turning around she was astonished to see him looking a complete bad boy. "Oh, Morgan. You are here..." she smiled towards him. "Why, yes. Sophie, this is my father's nightclub..." he winked towards her. While Sophie made an impressing face he winked at her direction and spread his hand for her to walk, as if showing her the way. Sophie looked gorgeous in a knee-length dress with open hair and red lipstick. Lara was only gazing at Morgan, her eyes blank but slowly her jaw becomes clenching. "Did he just walked away while I was speaking?" her tone was annoyed. Her eyebrows were knitted in frustration when Shawn gestures her to stay quiet. "These are my friends..." Morgan introduced the pretty girl to all of his friends. No doubt but she was a glamours woman. Her appearance said it all. Lara had her jaw clenched but she managed to give a tight-lipped smile. "And this is Sophie...my business partner..."
"Oh, so you have a female business partner..." Lara raised both of her eyebrows in amazement. Sophie was a nice girl, she was sweet. Morgan took her to sit with him and they had drinks.
Lara was offended.
Of course, she cannot tolerate her best friend giving attention to some random girl. "Shawn, please tell me he is not planning to fuck her..." Lara uttered in a low voice, the glass of wine touched to her lips. Shawn just clicked his tongue to assure her.
But deep down all of them knew Morgan Colton doesn't flirt with any girl until he wants her for only one night. "I swear, my friend is an idiot. He is wasting his time just to spend a night with this girl..." Lara whispered again. "Let's go out of here?" Shawn suggested to the annoyed girl. It was that moment when Morgan had whispered something in Sophie's ear and she giggled. Lara has had enough. Anger was boiling deep in her system. No shit but the girl Sophie was delicately pissing Lara off. And she doesn't like to lose. She had an idea but before she could utter, Morgan announced, "Alright, guys. Let's call it a night."
With that he stood up with the girl, holding her hand and his friends could only stare at them. Morgan waved them goodbye and walked away and all the time Sophie could not help but blush. "This girl, Sophie...where did our friend find her?" Lara was staring at her back. She was an average kind of girl, with dark brown hair and tan skin, she had brown eyes. Her ass was peachy and round. The way she was walking made her look like some sort of a professional model. "Shawn?" Lara snapped out of the moment and turned to Shawn who could not stop watching her ass. "What an ass!" he exclaimed with an open mouth. Lara hit him gently on the arm and muttered, "Ass! Stop looking at her, ass!"
"Yeah, I was looking at her ass..."
This made her roll her eyes but she secretly clenched her fist in anger. She was trying her best to control her anger but deep down she wanted to kill the girl Sophie. But on the other hand, she was only a nightstand... This made her mood a little pleasant. Turning around she declared, "Shots? Anyone?"
Shawn was unaware of what might happen to her. One minute she was frustrated and another second she was celebrating. Girls... He shook his head then a ghost of a smile touched his lips, looking at her. On the empty roads of New York, Morgan was driving his black Range Rover, the sunroof of the car was open and Sophie was hanging out, feeling the cold breeze and the blasting music getting on her nerves. She was carefree yet drunk and Morgan was interested in it. He wanted her to go a little wild. "Sophie, darling?" he called out while holding her hand. She went back on her seat, next to Morgan and looked at him blankly. "What are you looking at?" he asked taking one quick look at her face. "You are hot..." she complimented out of nowhere. He chuckled lightly and this made her even turned on. Without giving a warning to him, she grabbed his face and turned it towards her, as their lips locked the sparkling waves of currents passed through their bodies. None of them could wait any longer. With a screech, the car was parked on the corner. He made out to her, caressing her body, giving her pleasure. Under the bright moonlight, the car shook gently from the pace he was holding. His breaths were high, he had too much of a weed and wine. The reaction of both of the things got mixed and he felt electrified. Panting hard on the back seat, Morgan leaned back as he took a look at the girl who was smiling towards him. The dark mascara on her face had smudged up, so was her lipstick. She was a beautiful yet sexy woman.
Taking a deep breath he caressed her long hair and she cuddled with him. Later in the night, he was rolling a cigarette when his best friend called him. "Yeah?" he puffed the weed. "Yeah, I'm with her...Shawn, can you book a room in the Plaza?" he took a look at the girl who was sleeping peacefully on the back seat and asked.
