Chapter 1 Captured

~Freya~

I ran as fast as my legs carried me away from them. It had suddenly happened, and my whole village was on fire. I was sleeping that night after coming home from work late. My mother had prepared my favorite chicken meal, but I had been too tired to eat it, hoping that when I woke up, I'd eat it, but they had come to destroy everything. I had woken up to the pounding on our door and the crashing down of our door. Rushing down, my parents and little brother were on the ground, surrounded by unknown men in black cloaks. Panic seized me, and I knew that I had to act quickly.

''Freya, run please!'' my mother had shouted at me before the men could see me, and like a coward, I had run out instead of staying behind to save my family. I had run for myself. As I ran away from my little village, I glanced back and saw the fire devouring our homes and every home around us.

This shouldn't be happening, I thought.

I wanted to turn back and try as much as possible to help my family, but then I remembered my mother's words. ''whenever anything happens, don't look back and continue running. Who knows if that is your destiny.''

How could I even run away when the cries of the villagers pierced the night? The acrid smell of smoke invaded my senses, blending with the loud cackle of the fire behind me. The searing heat reached out towards me as if it was about to devour me, but I moved backward, and I could only stare. Tears brimmed my eyes as I thought about what had happened. Why were we being targeted? What happened? Who were they?

Suddenly, from the fire, I heard footsteps approaching me through the shadows. It was the men in black cloaks, and it looked as if they had seen me. ''catch her!'' I heard yells, and I turned around and ran away.

I had no idea where I was running to, but It didn't stop me as I continued sprinting into the woods. My family had sacrificed their lives for me, and if they caught me, it would all be for nothing. It would only mean that my family had sacrificed their lives for nothing. The haunting screams of the villagers continued to sound in my ear, their anguish etching itself into my ear drums.

These men were not ordinary men. For them to come to our small village meant they were there for something. Our pack was known as the forsaken pack, and they should have never come because we were the lower class. It only meant that someone was sending them, but the question that came to my mind was who the person could be.

Who the hell could be so heartless to want to destroy a whole village?

I turned back to catch a glimpse of those chasing me and missed a step. I shouldn't have because they were right behind me, and as I fell, they had circled me. ''what do you want!'' I seethed as I got up from the ground quickly. My elbow hurt as I had landed on them when I fell, but that didn't stop me from facing the ruthless men in front of me. ''who the hell are you and what have you........''

A blow landed on my face, sending me to fly backward, landing against the tree. The moon was sitting pretty in the sky, staring at us. It felt as if the moon goddess was mocking us at that moment, staring at how we were suffering at the hands of men who had come to raid our village. I stood shakily on my feet, not giving up because I had to fight them again. If they caught me, it would all be over. I jumped and shifted into Rayla, my brown wolf. I growled at them and lunged towards one of them, but he caught me by the throat and sent me flying towards the three again. I whimpered as my head hit the tree, my wolf crying out in pain.

''I am sorry, Freya, but I can't help you now,'' she said and shifted back to my form, lying on the ground.

''what a pathetic little girl,'' one of the men said and carried me onto his shoulder. ''now, let us return and inform him.''

Him? Who was he? He must have ordered the black cloak men to raid our village, and I wondered who the heartless man was. As they carried me away, I thought about my mother's voice one last time before blacking out.

The next time my eyes opened, it met with the eyes of different girls. I gasped and tried to get up, but my hands were restrained, tied together, and kept me from standing up. My body was covered up with white clothes, and it made me remember how I had blacked out completely naked. ''where the hell am I!'' I shouted and looked around, realizing that I was probably in a moving car. ''how did I even get here!''

''you look as though you never expected to be here,'' one of the girls said and rolled her eyes. ''I never imagined that they would attack the Light pack. You are the worst packs in the forsaken realm, and you have no business with them!''

''what do you mean?'' I asked as I looked into the faces of the rest of the girls. They were all unfamiliar and didn't look like they were part of the villagers.

''The forsaken realm was attacked, and girls were kidnapped from the different packs, as you can see,'' Another girl replied, and my eyes widened in shock.

Oh no, I thought. My family. It was not a dream. They had indeed destroyed our village, and who knows what might have happened to my family now. I wanted to believe that they survived, but I had seen the house on fire, meaning that it didn't happen. They didn't survive it. ''no,'' I screamed. ''This can't be happening,'' Tears streamed down my face. ''I......'' I stuttered and looked at the girls again, trying to see if they would act like me, but instead, they looked as if they were tired. Their swollen eyes show that they have been crying for a long and the marks on some of their bodies show that they all have been crying. ''what is going to happen to us? Where are they going to......'' The car suddenly came to a stop, and the door opened to reveal three men in black cloaks.

This was my chance to challenge them and try to escape. I have to escape from them no matter what it takes, but when I reached out to my wolf, she did not respond. She was still recovering and couldn't come to my rescue. All hope was gone, but it didn't stop me from speaking up.

''where the hell are we? Who are you!'' I shouted at them. ''where did you bring us to!''

''shut up, little girl, and be like the rest of the girls,'' he said as they began to drag them out, and none of them was saying anything.

''you can't let them take us away. We have to fight back. Staying silent will only......''

One of the men grabbed my fiery red hair and pulled me out of the car, pushing me to the ground. ''I said shut up your mouth!'' he shouted at me and raised me to face him with my hair, then he landed a slap on my face. ''you don't speak unless you are being spoken to. Didn't your parent teach you to act well!''

My parents! How dare he mention my parents? I spat on his face and let out a scream. ''let me go right now!''

The man let out a chuckle and grabbed me by the throat, and then he landed a slap on my face. Tears brimmed my eyes as I could barely see for a few seconds, but I pressed on, seeking answers as to why my small village was attacked. ''why! What is the purpose of this? Why did you.....''

The man dropped me to the ground and laughed, ''Shut up, little girl. You are a nobody now. From now on, you are a slave of the great kingdom of Salvador, and everyone that you knew is gone!''

''why? Who sent you to do this to us? My village is a small village, so why did you do this to us!'' I screamed at him. ''why!''

The man grabbed my hair again and pulled me up from the ground. ''you don't tell me what to do, and if not that you are chosen as one of the potential breeders for the princes, then I would have killed you.''

Breeder? I could not understand what he was trying to say. I was going to become a breeder for some princes. Was it the reason why my village was being destroyed? The realization struck me like a blow to the gut. I was destined to become nothing more than a vessel for breeding, stripped of my home and forced into a life of submission. Tears cascaded down my cheeks as I thought about my family and pack, their presence now forever lost to me. I was about to protest once more, but the girl shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper. "Just stay quiet. It'll be easier that way. Don't you see? No one will answer your screams."

''you better listen to her and stop talking,'' The man holding my hair let go of it and pushed me to the front. That ended what I wanted to say, and I looked up towards the building in the distance, my new prison. What kind of men were the princes of Salvador? Would they see me as a person or a vessel for their offspring?

As we were led towards the building, I scanned the surroundings and saw other girls assigned to different women. The realization hit me hard - we were being reduced to mere breeders, and there was no going back.

My entire village was destroyed because of this. I would never hear their laughter again, and my brother's dream of becoming a noble elite was gone because I had been chosen.

Chapter 2 The breeder Selection

~Freya~

I had lost count of how many days I had to spend alone in a confined room. The day they brought us there. We were being assigned to different women, and my master, as she preferred to be called, turned out to be a ruthless woman. She had pushed me onto my stomach and branded me with a hot iron. The branding iron seared my skin, marking me with a number - a dehumanizing symbol of my new existence. Number 9. A nameless entity, stripped of my identity and reduced to a mere slave. I almost couldn't remember my name as I grew to hear the number 9. Ever since they brought us to the house, I had not seen the other girls except when it was time to feed us, have our bathe, and be treated by doctors who checked our bodies for signs of fertility and diseases. Each time I met the girls, they all looked like they had lost their fighting wish, and we never exchanged any words as we were always under the eyes of guards assigned to us.

But, one day after, after enduring weeks of this torment, I heard my name being called. ''number 9,'' The sound pierced through the air, and my heart sank. My door swung open, and I was forcefully dragged out, thrust towards the woman who had overseen my captivity since my arrival as a slave.

''The lord will now speak to you,'' she had told me, and before I knew what was happening, I was taken down a large hallway until we reached the front of a door, and I was pushed inside alone. I heaved a deep sigh as I came face to face with a man with a bald head. He was seated on one of the couches in the room and pointed to the one opposite me. ''Freya Edwards, glad to see you. Please sit down.''

I frowned at him as he called me by name. a name I had not heard of in a long time. Without saying a word, I sat down opposite him, eyeing him suspiciously and wondering what he had come there for. ''Number 9,'' he called, reverting to my new name. '' Lord Benjamin and I work for the royal family. I have come here to inform you that You have been chosen to serve the three princes of Salvador; out of the twenty girls brought here, you are the only one deemed compatible to bear the heirs who will lead the great kingdom of Salvador."

I shifted in my seat, staring at him with wide eyes. Was I chosen? What was he expecting me to do? Jump up because my fate was chosen against my wish? I didn't say anything and just stared at him. Every fiber of my being screamed for escape, for freedom. But deep down, I knew it was a futile hope. There was nowhere to run, no rescuers coming to my aid. I was alone, trapped in this unforgiving world.

''I expected more number 9. It would be best if you were happy to leave this place,'' he muttered.

I squared my shoulders and forced myself to speak, my voice trembling with despair.

"I-I don't understand. What does that mean?" I asked, my voice shaking. Tears welled up in my eyes as I already knew my fate. Becoming a breeder for the royals or nobles meant certain death once the baby was born, and that was the intention of the royal family. I was destined to become a breeder for the princes, and once I bore their children, they would discard me.

Tears streamed down my face as the harsh reality set in. I was reduced to nothing more than a breeder, a tool for the princes to use as they pleased. "I..." My voice trembled, and I couldn't find the words to express my anguish."What if I don't want to do this?" I pleaded, desperation creeping into my voice.

"You have no choice. You will do as you are told, or you will suffer the consequences," the man replied, his eyes cold and devoid of empathy. "You are the only one whose body can carry the Prince's children. Those who have tried to bear the princes' children either die or become useless. The fate of the great kingdom of Salvador rests on your shoulders."

"My shoulders?" I scoffed, wiping away the tears streaming down my face. "So, my life is going to be destroyed, and you say the fate of this kingdom rests on my shoulders!" I yelled, pounding my chest. "My family was killed in one night. I can still remember the tears of those children and..." I couldn't continue as another wave of tears overcame me. "I don't want to do this!"

The man laughed cruelly, stood up, and moved closer to me. He raised his hands and struck me hard across the face, repeating the process over and over until my lips started bleeding. "What can you do when you are a powerless little girl?" he taunted, gripping my chin tightly. "You should be grateful that you are deemed worthy to be called the breeder of the royals. If you had stayed with your little pack, who knows if you would have died alongside them!" he laughed mockingly and pushed my head backward. ''This is your destiny, and you either accept it, or I shall kill your brother and what is left of your village!''

''my....brother is alive?'' I asked, and he nodded in response. ''you are lying!'' I shouted at him.

He chuckled. ''Do I look like I am?'' he spread his arms. ''Freya, your brother's name is Cody, right?''

My eyes widened in shock.'' ye....s but how do you know that? What happened to my brother!''

''he is in a safe place where I kept him. I was able to save his life before the fire took over your house, but your parents, not so much. They suffered and.....''

''stop!'' I shouted and covered my ears as more tears streamed down my face. I didn't want to listen to him talk about my parents like that, knowing that he was responsible for mostly what had happened to them. ''where is my brother?''

He lowered his head to face me and smiled wickedly. ''your actions from now on will determine how your brother will be treated. If you dare defy me,'' he grabbed my shoulders. ''I shall kill you in the blink of an eye,'' he said and pushed my head backward.

''i......''

''That is right, little girl. You have no say in this!'' he said, raising his head. ''Guards!'' he shouted, and the door burst open, revealing the guards as they walked in. ''take her away!'' he ordered, and before I knew what was happening, I was taken away inside a black limousine.

Lord Benjamin joined me, and as the limousine started moving, I turned back to look at the building, wondering what would happen to the rest of the girls. The building exploded right In front of me, and my eyes almost popped out of my socket. I gasped and turned to face the man beside me.

''some preventive measures must be taken. The girls were not needed, so they all had to die. This could have been your fate, but you are lucky you were picked!'' he told me and laughed. ''That is how things are a little girl.''

''all those girls,'' I cried and placed my hand over my face, remembering their faces even though I couldn't remember their names. ''They......''

''Being too emotionally attached to someone will be your end. The only thing you should think about now is how you will serve the princes and keep your brother safe,'' he told me. The question echoed relentlessly in my mind: Why was this happening to us? Why did we have to endure such unimaginable suffering?

Then, I realized there was no escape from my grim fate. I had become nothing more than a pawn in the game of the royals, a mere instrument for their desires, and those girls had lost their lives because they were considered useless and unfit to serve the princes of Salvador.

The drive to the royal mansion was in silence, and when we finally reached, I was helped out of the car by a guard who led me to the front. Its size and grandeur overwhelmed me. Towering columns and a majestic central dome seemed to stretch toward the heavens. The exterior was adorned with the finest materials, the glimmering marble and intricate werewolf carvings captivating in their craftsmanship.

This was the home of the esteemed royal family of Salvador. While they reveled in happiness and abundant wealth, countless rankless wolves like myself suffered unimaginable pain. It was a stark reminder of the divide between the privileged and the rich and powerful. Resentment and anger surged within me, fueled by the injustices that plagued our society. Why were the rich and powerful allowed to obtain whatever they desired while trampling upon the lives of the less fortunate?

I clenched my fists as I continued to stare, and just then, I was pulled again by Benjamin. My hair tugged harshly as we entered the home of the Royals. I struggled to regain my balance, feeling the warmth of blood trickling down my scalp, but regardless, I didn't say anything.

Benjamin led me to the left side of the house before I could fully take in the grand staircase that stood before me. Adorning the walls were portraits of the past werewolf kings, revered as the golden wolves of old. I counted at least ten generations of kings, each depicted in full regalia, donning fur cloaks upon their shoulders and crowns adorned with precious gems atop their heads. The current king, too, was captured in a similar pose. Glancing at him, I noticed his peculiar eyes-one red and the other blue. But before I could contemplate the significance of this, his eyes abruptly changed back to their original golden color.

The sight was surreal, leaving me perplexed and longing for an explanation, yet there was no time to dwell on it.

As we ventured deeper into the building, Benjamin finally released his grip on my hair. I found myself in a different section of the house, distinct from the primary residence yet connected to it. Exhausted and breathless, I was unceremoniously pushed to the ground at the feet of a woman. She was adorned in lavish robes embellished with sparkling jewels that reflected luxury and power.

At that moment, I couldn't help but wonder who she was and what role she would play in my unfortunate fate.

''My lord,'' she greeted Benjamin, her voice dripping with false respect. She then cast a disdainful glance at me, her gaze cold and calculating. ''Who is she?''

''Take care of her and make her presentable. She is the chosen breeder. Prepare her to meet the Alpha king and the princes,'' he instructed her detachedly.

The woman let out a cruel laugh, her eyes gleaming with malice. ''They finally found her,'' she muttered, touching my face. I flinched at her touch, repulsed by her closeness. ''She looks dreadful. I will have to ensure she appears elegant in the presence of the Alpha king and the princes.''

''That is why I brought her to you, Amaya. Take care of her,'' Benjamin said and then turned to leave, leaving me in the hands of the strange woman.

''You,'' Kira grabbed me roughly by the ear, causing me to cry out in pain. She dragged me towards a room, and I desperately struggled against her grip, clinging onto her hand. ''How dare you, you filthy creature, try to touch me,'' she hissed, delivering a sharp slap across my face. Then, she forcefully pushed me through a door, causing it to crash down. The room was small and covered in dust, and to my surprise, two other girls were already present.

''Bathe her and dress her in the elegant blue gown,'' Kira ordered the girls before vanishing as if she had never been there.

The two girls seized my hands roughly and shoved me toward the bathroom, preventing me from banging my head against the doorframe. They laughed mockingly, their voices filled with malice. ''We wouldn't want the breeder to sustain any damage, would we?''

As they stripped me of my clothes and began scrubbing my body with aggressive force, pain surged through me, and I couldn't help but cry out. The rough sponge scraped against my skin, leaving it raw and inflamed.

Why were they treating me this way? They were just one rank higher than me, yet they subjected me to such torment. How could they stoop so low?

"Stop! Please, stop!" I pleaded, my voice filled with desperation, but they showed no mercy or compassion, continuing their brutal assault.

"You're so filthy," one of them hissed, a twisted satisfaction in her voice. "As the royal prince's breeder, you can't afford to look dirty!"

The other girl laughed cruelly. "I bet she won't last a day, just like the others!"

I gritted my teeth, enduring the pain, and reminded myself of my purpose. I had to endure for the sake of my brother and my revenge against the royal family.

Eventually, they finished their ruthless scrubbing, leaving me alone in the bathroom with my skin burning. I felt utterly powerless, staring blankly into space. I was nothing more than an ordinary slave.

Soon, the girls returned to dress me like a sacrificial lamb for the royal princes, marking the beginning of my suffering. The dress shimmered like gold, its opulence enough to sustain my pack for months. I wouldn't say I liked seeing it, but I had no choice. For my brother, I was ready to do anything.

''If you don't want your head on a pike, heed this warning: Never dare to meet their eyes,'' Amaya warned me as I was led out of the room to face my fate.

Chapter 3 The three princes of Salvador are my mate

~Freya~

I held onto the expensive dress tightly as the majestic golden doors of the throne room swung open, beckoning me to step through. With a heart pounding in my chest and a vengeful frown etched on my face, I entered the room, bowing my head in remembrance of Amaya's instructions.

Sensing the weight of countless eyes upon me, I kept my eyes lowered. "Greet the royal highnesses," Amaya's command echoed in my mind, prompting me to drop to my knees.

"Your Highnesses," I managed to greet, my fists clenched at my sides. At that very moment, a single thought consumed my mind-I imagined removing the hairpin from my hair and thrusting it into the heart of the Alpha King, consequences be damned. I was prepared to sacrifice my own life for the chance to strike him down. Yet, I restrained myself, closing my eyes and suppressing the seething resentment I harbored toward the Royal family because of my brother. I had someone to lose, and I didn't want him to suffer all because of me.

"Is she the one mentioned in the prophecy?" a husky voice inquired, laced with unmistakable disgust. The question was posed again, and a woman replied softly.

'' Yes, Your Highness. She is the one destined to bear the heirs of the kingdom.'' The woman replied.

"Why must she be a common wolf?" another voice interjected, its tone softer than the first woman yet brimming with elegance and pride. I wondered who it belonged to-the Luna Queen, perhaps. "If it were up to me, I would never allow a worthless girl to mate with my sons," she scoffed disdainfully.

The Luna Queen, I guessed right. She was supposed to hold the kingdom together and protect everyone alongside the Alpha King, just like him. She seemed to be a devil reincarnate, showing no concern for the lives of others. She trampled upon the poor, making their lives unbearable. Though I had no idea what she looked like, I yearned to gaze into her eyes and confront her about how their oppressive rules had cost the lives of innocent children and girls and reduced someone like me to a mere breeder for the royal family.

''My Queen,'' the Alpha King muttered under his breath, ''if she has finished producing heirs, she is useless. She will be discarded.''

In their eyes, I was nothing more than a disposable object to be disposed of once I had fulfilled my purpose of bearing the prince's children. It was unfathomable that they saw me this way as if I were not a werewolf.

''The royal princes have arrived!'' An announcement echoed from the room's entrance, and my heart raced faster.

A peculiar sensation engulfed me, defying description. My wolf urged me to turn around, speaking in my head after a long time.

"'Face your destiny, Freya,'' the commanding voice resonated, and as if trapped by a spell, I defied the first rule of werewolves.

Never lock eyes with the royals and nobles.

Gasping, I watched as the princes approached me; their scents mixed, and I couldn't tell whose scent it was. I had expected they would look alike, but I was surprised to see they differed. The first prince, positioned at the center, stood tall with eyes that gleamed like golden orbs, shining as bright as the sun. Adorning his forehead was the mark of the moon, while strands of brown hair cascaded, partially veiling his oval-shaped face.

The second prince possessed darker hair and hazel eyes. Standing an inch shorter than the first prince, he positioned himself on the right side. Unlike his brother, he bore no mark, and his face showcased flawless features, his chiseled jawline seemingly carved by the moon goddess herself.

The third prince captured my gaze with sapphire-green eyes and flowing blonde locks that brushed his shoulders. A sly smirk played across his face as his finger extended, pointing directly at me.''She is the one?'' he inquired. 'Is she the one chosen to carry our children?'

Amaya, who noticed my gaze, stood up and bowed her head to the princes. '' Forgive me, Your Highnesses,'' she pleaded. ''I had already warned this breeder not to meet the eyes of the royals, but in her foolishness, she refused to listen. I shall administer the appropriate punishment.'" she said and looked at me. ''lower your head!''

Despite her warnings, I refused to lower my head. The connection between us was unexpected, and Rayla muttered in my head. '' 'Mates!' it resounded, leaving me gasping in disbelief as I looked from one prince to another. How could this be? I wondered. I had been cursed by a fate that bound me to my enemies. Their stern expressions bore into me, and anger burned in the eyes of the first prince.

''How dare you lock eyes with us!'' he bellowed, storming past me.

At that moment, I questioned whether he felt the mate bond. Was his anger a result of disgust at being mated to me? It felt surreal, knowing I was bound to the princes of Salvador.

''Mother, father,'' the first prince called out, his voice filled with outrage. ''Did you summon us here to inform us that this woman will be our breeder?''

''Yes,'' the Alpha King responded, his tone bored.

''How could this be!'' the first prince exclaimed, his frustration evident. ''Why in the world are you forcing us to be with these women when they all end up dead?''

''Nolan,'' the Luna Queen interjected, and my entire body trembled as I turned to face her-a breach of yet another rule I never thought I would break.

I shifted my gaze from the queen to the king, noticing the striking resemblance their sons bore to them. Though I had seen the portrait of the Alpha King in the hallways, I never expected him to appear even colder than he did in the picture. The Luna Queen, on the other hand, possessed silver hair and flawless skin, defying age. She embodied beauty, yet her countenance held the air of an evil villainess.

''How dare you, you filthy thing, stare at me?" the queen spat.

'You brought the filthy thing to the royal mansion,' the second prince interjected. Unlike his brother, whose voice dripped with disgust, he sounded like he had no choice but to accept what his parents commanded.

'That is true,' the third prince stepped forward. 'I refuse to stoop so low as to lay with that woman! She is a nobody. Why on earth should a nobody become our breeder?'

'Ethan,' the Luna Queen addressed her son by name, heaving a deep sigh. She rose from her seat and approached them. ''You are all aware of the prophecy. The only way to break your curses and ensure the continued rule of this great kingdom is by siring heirs.''

''With a rankless wolf!'' the first prince erupted, his anger surpassing that of his brothers. 'How could I possibly...?' He pointed directly at me.

I met his gaze, awaiting his following words, but the realization of being mated to him and his brothers overwhelmed me. Why was I destined to be bound to those I despised so profoundly? It was unfathomable, and even if I were to tell someone, they would never believe me.

'Nolan,' the Alpha King spoke up, commanding attention. 'You will be the first to lay with her!' The king's proclamation caused me to gasp as they all redirected their focus towards me.

'Guards!' the Luna Queen shouted, and two burly guards entered the room. With a clear understanding of the Luna Queen's intentions, they forcefully lifted me from the ground. My face snapped to the side as her hand struck me with a resounding slap. I tasted blood on my lips and saw red, thinking that the assault had concluded, only to be met with another stinging blow.

Desperate for help, I glanced at the princes, whose faces displayed disgust. I wondered if they could not sense the mate bond or if they feigned ignorance of my pain simply because I was a nobody.

'You will learn your place, and if you weren't such an important vessel, I would have ordered your immediate execution. However, it seems you are not to be harmed until you bear a child. Consider these beatings a lesson for daring to lock eyes with the royals!' she shouted at me before pushing me backward and returning to her throne.

"An important vessel, you say?" I spoke up, surprised at the sudden surge of courage within me.

"You dare to speak back to me!" The Luna Queen screamed, and though fear coursed through my trembling body, her words hinted at the fact that I still had my life, even if I dared to voice my thoughts.

"I was already aware, and the rumors surrounding the Royals were not mere rumors but the grim truth. How can you all sleep at night, knowing that your actions have destroyed countless lives?" I challenged her. "You subject others to such cruelty to maintain the hierarchy. I lost my parents because of all of you, and I swear I will destroy the royal family for the immense pain you've caused me!"

The Luna Queen's eyes widened, and she moved toward me in a flash, intending to strike me once again, but the Alpha King intervened.

"That's enough," the Alpha King commanded, rising from his throne. "If you weren't a vessel for my sons to break the curse, I would have eliminated you long before you realized it," he chuckled. "I knew a nobody like you would react this way, so I had a contingency plan in place."

He grinned at me, and as we conversed, the door burst open, and Benjamin stepped in, holding my brother's hand.

''Cody!'' I shouted his name. ''you are here!''

Slowly, my brother raised his head to meet my gaze, his eyes widening in astonishment. "Is that you, Freya?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion before breaking into tears. ''Freya!'' he shouted, struggling against Benjamin's grip.

"Cody!" I fell to my knees, moving closer to him. "Cody!" Tears streamed down my face as I embraced him tightly, unable to contain my overwhelming emotions.

I never expected such a reunion, but little did I know that it would be short-lived. The Alpha King's voice sliced through the air, shattering our moment of happiness. "I didn't plan for this reunion, but you will pay for your words about destroying the royal family. I will show you why I am known as the Alpha King."

"Guards!" he bellowed, pointing towards my mother. "Punish him in place of the girl!" His wicked grin turned towards me. "lock him up in the cold room!''

The words echoed in my mind, and I stared at my brother as he was forcibly pulled away from me. "Cody!" I cried out, desperation filling my voice. "Cody!" I couldn't believe he was about to face consequences just when I reunited.

Had I made a grave mistake by challenging the royal family without knowing my brother would be in danger? They were all the same-heartless and cold, showing no regard for wolves like myself. Even the royal princes, who turned out to be my mates, shared the exact callous nature of their parents.
