Sophie was currently surfing through the huge crowd on the street of New York as fast her leg could carry her holding two cups of coffee. She was definitely eye-catching as her blonde hair made her easily noticeable amidst the crowd of people but that was the least of her problems right now. She was extremely late for work and her fiancee Dave, who is also her business partner, sent the SOS text to her.

In fact this was one of the few times that she hate herself for not buying a car and learning how to ride it, she was sure that if a list was ever made she would the only boss of a multi million dollars company that didn't have a car of her own and didn't know her to drive but she couldn't be blamed as she was always involved with her work since she graduated from college that she hardly anything going on in her life apart from it and the little trip on the bus was among the little stuff that she did to keep her sanity.

Sophie instantly wave the security guards off as she enters the building, the building was buzzing with crowd as away and some of her employee were making gestures of greetings but she was more concerned about the two cup of coffee that was in a dual cup holder which she was carrying, The cup of Cappuccino was for her and Dave since it was their favorite cup of coffee so she took it upon her to have on his table since they met for the first time. The elevator finally opened on reaching the thirty floor which was the executive floor also where she and Dave shared a office, Emily the company secretary and Dave personal assistant was already waiting for her at the front of the elevator " I saw you coming and decide to wait for you here, the team is already waiting for you at his office over five minutes ago " This time Sophie was stunned about what was going on that required everyone, he and Dave weren't living together although they had collected their marriage certificate among other stuff. This decision was made by Sophie since she still needed to take care of her Mom who was in a wheelchair.

Her mom incident happened while she was in secondary school she got hit by moving car and have been stuck to the wheelchair every since then leaving Sophie who was her one child with the responsibility of watching over her, this is the main reason for them not living together it after the official wedding that was scheduled to place at the other end of the year approximately four months after her upcoming birthday day.

Sophie could help but pushed Dave slightly showing her dissatisfaction, the software that Dave was talking about was one of her cherished software that she had developed over time putting her heart into it until it was perfect. It was hardly a month back that she told Dave that it was complete and he wanted to put it in the market, speaking truthfully Sophie was unwilling to put the work into the market since this could be considered her life work. Dave put on a smile as he spoke he knew that Sophie didn't have the will power to reject his request although she looks mature he knew better than everyone how easy she was to be swayed especially if she was in love with you, just has he had predicted Sophie took a minutes to think about it the whole situation before she caved and initiate a kiss with Dave.

Immediately she was done with her speech the team quickly dismissed moving with the Hunter and Emily for the other part of briefing but she was stopped from a brief moment by Dave sentence " Emily don't forget to inform Audrey about the situation, since he was the who got us the slot he should keep his other jobs on hold since this is big for us. Sophie knew that Audrey Dave best friend which she had seem personally on a few occasions since he was always busy all moving since he worked as a government representative of the ministry which she hardly remember but he was sure be on the spotlight on any major incidents concerning the government,in fact he was currently making plans to contest for a seat in the house of lords. Once the office was clear of everyone Dave came over closer slowly holding her hand before he placed his a kiss on her lip, Sophie already knew where this little of theirs was leading to quickly broke of the kiss when Dave hands was already moving underneath her skirt before she spoke " I already told that you that I would only be coming for a quick stop today,Amber is coming in town today I have to make sure that I reached the bus station before she does "

Dave finally stopped in his actions since he knew that that Sophie won't bulge if be pushed further, he pulled himself away to give Sophie room to adjust her suit skirt as he went back to his seat " you can send my greeting to Amber, in fact we should have a barbecue party now she is finally relocating to New York but you need to come over to mine place first since we really need to complete where we left off " Sophie quickly instantly brush off Dave reply as she placed her own copy of the file into her bag before she made a slight check on mirror to check if any part of her dress was out of place, Dave quickly got up from his seat and help Sophie buttoned up her coat.

Although Sophie knew what real Dave's intention was in helping her button she allowed him do it nevertheless since they were married according to the law, once he was done he hardly place's a kiss on her lip before she was out of the office in a haste. He could only shake his head slightly since he had more problems on his hand than Sophie , he moved towards the office line and made a call to Emily calling her into his office.

Sophie was earlier than the bus arrival time but it was still the limit of her scheduled that she had planned since might need sometime to have some of her stuff sorted out, she found a empty side bench with a overhead cover and it was a perfect spot since she could get the full view of the park and monitor bus that where arriving. She helped Amber with the little hand with the luggage as most of her load had already been moved over to by the moving company down into her new apartment, Amber didn't put up any resistance and walked towards the cab that Dave had helped Sophie in hiring. Just like Dave had planned they went to a five star restaurant just around the corner, although Amber couldn't afford such a lavish meal since her new job wasn't paying much as an IT but it was okay since Sophie was covering the bills. Once they got seated in the restaurant and had their order taken care of Amber couldn't help but ask " so how is your mom doing and with you and Dave their is lot of catching much we need to do"Sophie pick up the glass of wine that was pour for her and took a sip, although she knew that Amber was asking about Dave she didn't fully support her decision to get married to Dave since she felt that he wasn't the best of choice but since Sophie was serious with him she had not choice but to accept him.

" My mom is back at the house she was all excited when I told her that you were relocating back to New York and said that you better come over with some chicken wings and sauce, Dave and I are still the same a since you left not knew apart from the fact that we are preparing for my birthday but you on the other hand are stealing the news floor. Once they were done eating, they drove towards Amber 's new apartment which was located somewhere far a bit from the center of New York. Although the apartment was still in a mess Sophie had to say Amber had good eyesight in choosing an apartment, the apartment that was rented out to Amber was a two bedroom apartment with amazing interior and exterior design. Once they had settled in, Amber sat on the couch since it was the only thing that didn't need to be unbox "Sophie aren't you going back it is already getting late " Sophie didn't reply to Amber immediately as she took the food that they purchased into the fridge " Luckily then, we bought food that we eat for dinner. I have already told my mum that I'm coming over to help you with the packing stuff so you don't have to worry"

Since Amber was tired she didn't have much strength to quarrel with Sophie and she really needed her help if she wanted to unbox all her stuff as quickly as possible, just looking around the stockpile of boxes was giving her the creeps. Sophie quickly came back with the bowl of ice cream they purchased at restaurant since she knew that Sophie was tired with from the journey, taking a few sculp of ice cream Sophie couldn't help but asked " I haven't heard from lucy in a while, I guess being married sucks at little in some way.with the running of the company that had to be done we still haven't had or planned our honeymoon, although he is very demanding in bed "

Amber could help but choke on the ice cream, she couldn't help but give a hard pat on her shoulder before she spoke " you really didn't need to tell me about the last part, my head is already filled with your wild imagination"

They spent most of the night having girl talks,which reminded them of their college days where they had nothing literally to talk about apart from boys.
