CEO's Trap: Give You All My Love

Author: : Chang An
Genre: Romance
Fate has never stopped in its quest to make Joy's life an interesting turn of events. The man who she had known as her father wanted to kill her. Her mother, the one who she had thought passed away long ago, was now the wife of a rich businessman. And to add the cherries on top, Jimmy, the most powerful man in the city, wanted to propose to her. "Be my woman, and I'll give you anything you want and everything I have." Those words were the last thing she heard before she was dragged in into a whirlwind of drama, romance, and heartache.

Chapter 1 Nice To Meet You, Mr. Gu

A cold wind was howling in the winter night. A silver Volkswagen Santana was speeding along the snow-laden asphalt road.

In the car, Joy Mu, a sixteen-year-old girl, looked nervously at the man next to her. She had called him father for more than ten years.

The man was gripping the steering wheel so excitedly that his knuckles had turned pale.

"Dad,"

said Joy Mu cautiously as she reached out and tugged on his sleeve.

He shook off her hand and yelled with a twisted expression, "Don't call me Dad! I'm not your father."

"Waa, waa!"

Police sirens wailed in the distance behind them.

"Attention, car number 6758! Please pull over."

The man was not affected by the warning. He stepped on the gas and sped ahead. Then he fished out his phone from his pocket and tossed it to her. "Call up your mother and ask her to save you. Hurry up!"

The phone rang and her mother answered the call.

"Hello? Do you want money again? I have already told you... You cannot call me on this number,"

a woman said irritably in a hushed tone.

"Mom? It's me."

It felt so strange to say that word. Joy Mu had thought she was different from others as she was born without a mother.

The woman on the phone paused for a while. She never expected the person on the other line to be her daughter.

"Marry, listen! You have lied to me for so many years. I'm going to die with this bastard child. I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life!"

roared the man, who had grabbed the phone. He threw it out of the window after he was done.

"Watch out!"

The surge of adrenaline coursing through him distracted him from the road and he failed to notice the road ahead. A large truck of containers suddenly appeared on the highway. The man swerved sharply to avoid a collision but it was too late.

"Bang!" The car rammed into the truck. In a moment of desperation, Joy Mu raised her arm to protect the man's head.

The Imperial City, an entertainment club, was located in the center of A City.

It was known for being the favorite haunt of the rich and famous who spent more money here in one night than three years' salary of ordinary people.

Joy Mu secretly followed a man with a big waist and a gold necklace. He looked nouveau riche. Behind him was a large group of strong bodyguards.

The interior decoration in the Imperial City was particularly magnificent. The man with the golden necklace seemed to be a regular guest there. The manager immediately stepped forward and bowed to greet him.

The manager led them to room 414, where another group of people was already waiting.

The man with the gold necklace was the biggest drug dealer in A City!

Joy Mu sneaked into the bathroom, took out the uniform she had carried in advance and changed into it. Amy Shen waited at the door with a room service cart. As soon as Joy Mu stepped out of the bathroom, Amy Shen handed her the cart and made a gesture discreetly, indicating that she and the editor would be waiting for her outside.

Joy pushed the cart forward and secretly signaled OK!

The cart stopped at the gate of room 414. Joy was about to walk in when she was stopped by two bodyguards dressed in black.

"What are you doing?"

"Here's the lobster!"

Joy was so nervous that her palms were sweating, but she pretended to be unaffected.

The two bodyguards were wary. They immediately opened the lid to double-check.

After confirming there was nothing unusual inside, they allowed her in.

She took a bracing breath and pushed the cart into the room.

Inside, the man in the gold necklace was talking to an American man with a dragon tattoo on his arm. When he heard the door open, he frowned slightly.

Joy immediately indicated that she was there to deliver the food. She put the lobster on the table and quickly placed the micro bug in her hand under the table.

When she was done, she turned to leave.

"Stop!" said the drug lord suddenly.

Joy's heart lurched but she turned around with a bright smile.

"Do you need anything else, Sir?"

"Why is there no number on your uniform?"

he asked gruffly and went close to her for a better look. All the waiters in the Imperial City had their badge numbers pinned onto their uniforms.

'Oh no! I must have left it in the bathroom,' Joy thought in panic.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Joy was scrambling to find an excuse when there was a knock on the door. Everyone turned their attention to the door.

It was Amy, who entered dressed like a waitress.

She strode over to Joy and opened her hand. There was a golden badge in it.

"Joy, you left your badge in the bathroom. You'd better pin it on your uniform. If the manager catches you without it, he will deduct your salary this month."

Breathing a sigh of relief, Joy hurriedly took it from Amy and put it on. She was about to hug Amy gratefully, but when she saw the people in the room, she immediately corrected herself and said, "Thank you, Amy."

The man with the gold necklace peered at the number 116 on Joy's chest and seemed mollified. He allowed her to leave after that.

After about half an hour, Joy estimated that they might have finished eating and accompanied the other two waiters to bring back the dishes. There was a big mess in the room. Empty wine bottles and plates were strewn all over the table.

Joy walked over to the table and stole a quick peek at the people in the room. As she tidied up the table, she bent down a little and removed the micro bug quietly.

After cleaning up the mess, Joy was about to push the cart out.

The man with the gold necklace inadvertently swept his eyes over the other waitress's chest. He noticed there were two number 116s!

"Stop!"

the boss suddenly shouted. Joy pretended not to hear him and continued to push the cart out.

"Hey! Stop her!"

On his command, a dozen big guys emerged from the shadows and surrounded Joy.

"What are you doing?"

Joy hid the bug behind her and held up her hands. She smiled stiffly and said, "Nothing!"

"What are you hiding back there? Show me!"

Naturally, they weren't buying her bullshit. A strong, tall man stepped forward, intending to do a body search on her. Of course, Joy refused and it ended up becoming a scuffle.

Joy knew that some shady transaction must have taken place just before she entered. If the bug fell into the hands of these people, it would be difficult for her to save herself.

"Damn it!"

Joy was no match for the bodyguard, so she kicked him in the crotch when he was distracted. The man doubled over in pain and Joy found her exit. She ran for her life.

"Why are you standing there? Go after her!" bellowed the boss, trying to chase her.

Joy sprinted as fast as she could and knocked down several waiters en route. Her uniform was stained with wine and various other foods. She was in a very dangerous situation.

Seeing that the people behind her were getting closer and closer, she had no choice but to escape into a random room and hide inside.

Inside the room, people were drinking and dining. Everyone stopped eating and stared at her incredulously.

Joy scratched her head awkwardly and continued her role as a waitress. "Is there anything else I can get for you?" she asked politely.

Everyone turned to look at the man sitting on the host's seat at the head of the dining table.

Following everyone's gaze, Joy was disappointed to see the host.

He was a very good-looking man in a black suit. His eyebrows were as thick as a bush and his eyes were as deep as the ocean.

He stared at Joy with his eyebrows raised.

As soon as he stood up, someone rushed into the room.

"Ah!" Joy cried and ran across the room.

"How dare you! Don't you know that the boss is here? You can't just burst into Mr. Gu's dinner casually!"

A young man in his twenties suddenly stood up and snapped at the intruders. It seemed that he was the host's assistant.

The man with the gold necklace was smoking a cigar.

"Mr. Gu, nice to meet you. I'm pursuing someone. Please excuse my interruption,"

Jimmy Gu was the eldest grandson of Commander Gu and the youngest and most promising president of the Gu Group. He was well-known in A City. The drug dealer had also heard of this man.

"Mr. Gu, please help me."

Afraid that the thugs would capture her if Jimmy Gu allowed it, Joy ran behind him and grabbed his sleeve tightly.

Jimmy Gu looked at her hands coldly. They were white and soft, and unlike a man's hands. He raised his eyes to find a beautiful face with panic written all over it as well as a hint of stubbornness in her eyes.

"How can I benefit by saving you?"

Jimmy Gu's voice was as clear as spring water.

Chapter 2 Go And Find That Woman

Looking at Jimmy's profile, which was sharp as a knife, she noticed that there was obvious humor in his eyes, as if he was enjoying the show.

Before Joy could figure out how to convince him, Jimmy had already put his arm around her waist and gently pulled her toward him. There wasn't even an inch of space between the two of them.

Joy could feel the strength of his muscles, which made her heart beat faster.

Jimmy's face was so close to her that Joy thought he was going to kiss her. Her delicate hands were drenched in sweat.

"I want this!"

said Jimmy suddenly, as he loosened his grip on her. Joy staggered backward.

He deftly snatched the micro bug from her back pocket.

"Hey, give that back to me. It's mine!"

Joy was furious.

"There is nothing else I want from you except this. If you want me to save you, you'd better do as I say,"

warned Jimmy, not bothering about Joy's anger. He turned around and tossed the bug to his assistant who had just stood up.

"What's wrong, Mr. Gu? Why are you against my Taxing Gang today?"

asked the man with the gold necklace. He knew that things were not so simple now. It was one thing to retrieve the bug from a woman, but in Jimmy's hands, it might be very dangerous.

"Your Taxing Gang has done lots of bad things in A city in the past few years. The higher authorities have issued an order that whoever obtains evidence of the crime will be rewarded two million dollars in cash." Then he looked at Joy and remarked, "No wonder so many people are scrambling to get it!"

Gritting her teeth, Joy thought to herself, 'Good for you, Jimmy! You're really good at taking advantage of a situation. Now you've traded my life for it!'

However, the drug dealer didn't look worried. On the contrary, he sneered, "Mr. Gu, do you care about a mere two million?"

"No, I don't." Jimmy answered generously, "But I need this evidence of your smuggling and drug deals."

The man with the gold necklace thought that his opponent could not be easily offended. Finally, the drug lord gave up. He waved his hand and snorted, "Guys, let's go!"

Watching the thugs leave, Joy turned around and held out her hand in front of Jimmy. "Give it to me!" she demanded.

Jimmy was taken aback, "What?"

"Two million!" Joy was anxious. "You just said that the reward for the person who can get evidence of the crime was two million dollars. You've got the evidence. Now, where is the money?"

"No way! I hate women like you who are willing to do anything for money. You have some nerve!"

Jimmy turned around and walked out of the room without looking back. Joy was about to follow him when she was stopped by two bodyguards. "Miss, please behave yourself."

Joy was so annoyed that she almost cried. "That money is really important to me! Please give me back the evidence or the money."

"If you want money, come to the Gu Group!"

Came Jimmy's voice from afar.

In a cramped alley, there was an old tube-shaped building. The warm yellow lighting inside instantly put people at ease.

When Joy entered the room, Sean Mu was still awake.

He was bent over the desk in front of the window, and his freshly-cut hair was glowing in the light. At his feet lay pieces of ceramic tiles.

"Sister!" said Sean Mu happily when he spotted Joy at the door. He stood up and walked over to her.

"Did he lose his temper again?"

Joy asked, looking at the door of the master bedroom.

Sean Mu nodded dejectedly.

Joy was only a few years older than him, who was a freshman.

"I see. Don't worry, just go back to your room and get some rest. I'll clean it up."

"Thank you, sister!"

"Be good!"

Sean Mu didn't dare to refuse his sister's order.

After cleaning up the fragments on the ground, Joy put on a floral apron and headed to the kitchen to make a bowl of noodles for Jay Mu.

"Knock, knock, knock!" She didn't get a response, so she pushed the door open and entered the room.

Jay Mu wasn't asleep. He was sitting in his wheelchair and staring at the photo frame on the desk.

"Dad, I've made egg noodles. Would you like some?"

asked Joy, placing the bowl in front of Jay.

"Get out!"

Joy stood still.

"I said get out! Didn't you hear me? Leave!"

"Dad, please!"

"Don't call me Dad. You are not my daughter."

Joy couldn't help but burst into tears.

Jay raised his hand and knocked over the bowl of food. The hot soup fell on the back of her hand and soon a big blister appeared.

"Why do you say that I am not your daughter? I have had your family name for twenty years. After your legs were paralyzed, I served you and took care of you. I even made money to support Sean's education. What have I done wrong? Why do you not consider me as your daughter?"

Joy's tears rolled down her cheeks like pearls scattering from a broken necklace. The grief she had suffered over the years and the unhappiness between father and daughter seemed to be poured out at this moment.

Jay Mu didn't expect Joy to talk back today. In the past, she had always tolerated his temper and never retaliated.

Joy was sobbing hard. She covered her face with her hands and slid down against the wall onto the cold floor.

"I'm your daughter. Otherwise, why did you protect me under your body when the car accident happened?"

That was how his legs were paralyzed.

He was the reason she was alive today.

She had no choice but to endure her father's ill-treatment over the years. It was also the reason why she still treated Sean as her own brother even after finding out the truth.

Jay started at the wall and remained mute. Joy was tired of crying. She tidied up the room and walked out.

Sean stood outside distressed. When he saw Joy, his lips moved and his eyes turned red.

"Don't worry. We'll have money soon and then we'll take Dad abroad for surgery,"

she comforted Sean as she poured the remaining soup into the trash can. However, Sean couldn't control himself anymore and rushed over to hug Joy tightly.

"Sister, go and find that woman. Maybe she can give you a better life. Don't come back here."

Chapter 3 Kiss Me Quickly

Joy looked up at the sky and sighed.

How could she have a better life with that woman? When she had lost a lot of blood during the car accident, that woman wouldn't even donate blood for her.

The Gu Group's headquarters was in a building with 128 floors. It was a commercial building that integrated business, entertainment, shopping, stock market, and securities.

After parking her car, Joy headed straight to the reception counter on the first floor.

"Hello, Miss. Do you have an appointment with our CEO?"

"Yes, he asked me to come to the Gu Group to meet him."

The receptionist nodded and called the CEO's Office. After a brief conversation, she hung up and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Miss. The CEO's Office said that there was no record of your appointment."

"How is that possible? Jimmy said so himself." She couldn't believe that he lied to her.

Just then, a tall, curvy woman sauntered over to the front desk and stated, "I want to see your CEO."

The receptionist seemed to know her and nodded immediately.

The woman glanced at Joy with disdain and said sarcastically, "What's wrong with this world nowadays? Does anyone and everyone think that they can seduce Jimmy?"

"Seduce?" Joy couldn't believe her ears. A woman she didn't even know was flinging accusations at her.

"Hey, Old lady! Speaking of seduction, I'd like to ask you. Why you are dressed so inappropriately at your age? Do you think Jimmy will fall in love with you because of your provocative dress?"

Joy commented scornfully while looking her up and down.

"Do you know who I am? How dare you talk to me like that?"

asked the woman crossly. She folded her arms across her chest and glared at Joy.

"Anna."

She didn't expect Joy to know her name. Anna was shocked.

"This receptionist just told her colleague that Miss Anna has come to seduce our CEO again!"

Joy pointed at the two receptionists at the desk. Anna was enraged. She turned around and marched towards the two gossip mongers.

Both receptionists were scared to death by Anna's intimidating stance and they focused their attention on her.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Joy dashed towards the elevator.

Meanwhile, in the CEO's Office on the eighteen floor, Jimmy was sitting with his arms crossed behind his head. He had an icy expression as he stared at the woman, who was putting on a striptease show in front of him.

The woman had shed her coat, leaving only a sexy lace camisole.

"Don't you like me? I'm the one you're going to marry in the future."

Jimmy sneered, but he realized he was being too disrespectful to her, so he covered his mouth with his fist, and his shoulders shook slightly.

The woman noticed this and flew into a rage. "Jimmy!"

"It's true that Grandpa likes you, but that doesn't mean I agree with him. What if I take a photo of you right now and send it to him?"

To prove his point, he took out his phone.

"Jimmy!"

The woman grabbed the phone and tossed it on the table. She glowered at him. Jimmy's deep eyes revealed no emotion.

The woman suddenly laughed, "Jimmy, don't try to irritate me. I have liked you since I was six years old and no matter what happens, I will marry you in this life!"

Jimmy raised his eyebrows, "Really? Then let me inform you, I'm not interested in you!"

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Jimmy assumed it would be Anna, so he stood up, straightened the sleeves of his suit jacket, and said, "Come in, please."

Joy didn't expect to get Jimmy's permission to enter. She took a deep breath and pushed the door open. When she saw the situation in the office, her face turned red.

"Well, I'm sorry..."

"Come here!" It was not Anna, but it didn't make a difference to him.

"Me?" Joy asked, pointing at her own nose.

The more he looked at her, the more stupidly she behaved!

"Yes!" He nodded.

Joy walked over reluctantly.

Jimmy suddenly grabbed her by the waist and kissed her.

Joy felt something cold on her lips, followed by a strong fragrance of mint. Her first kiss was stolen by this brash CEO.

"You..." She raised her hand wanting to slap him, but he immediately saw through her and held her hand tightly to prevent her from doing anything.

Joy's lips were soft and smooth like jelly. The kiss felt good.

"You..."

The woman in the lace lingerie couldn't stand it anymore. She interrupted haughtily, "I'm going back to tell Commander Gu."

"Wait!"

Jimmy let go of Joy and stopped the woman.

The woman smiled smugly. Sure enough, Jimmy feared Commander Gu.

"Take your clothes before you go."

To her surprise, Jimmy detested everything that belonged to her. The woman's face turned dark. She stomped her feet, turned around, and left in a huff.

"Jimmy, you bastard! Give me back my first kiss."

whined Joy as she shook off his hand from her waist and grabbed the collar of his white shirt. Owing to the height difference between them, Joy's action did not come across as aggressive. It was sort of cute.

"Okay."

Jimmy agreed readily.

"You're... Wait, what are you doing?"

Joy asked suspiciously.

"Giving you your first kiss back. Hurry up. I have a lot of work to do,"

he said, spreading out his hands, as if he was at her disposal.

"You... You bastard!"

He thought she was going to kiss him again?

"It's not that I don't want to return it. You are the one who's unwilling to kiss me back. Anyway, is there anything else? If not, please leave!"

Jimmy went back to his desk and sat down.

It was not until then that Joy remembered the purpose of her visit. She held out her hand and demanded, "Pay me back, or return the bug to me."

Jimmy gave her a look.

"Oh, you want the money?"

"Of course, that thing is worth two million."

Jimmy put down the documents in his hands and stood up. His impressive height felt very suffocating to Joy, who was much shorter than him.

"Okay, I'll give you two million, but on one condition."

"And what's that?"

Joy was being very vigilant. She was afraid that she would be set up by this shrewd businessman.

"You are bold enough to stand up to the Taxing Gang. Do you have the guts to be my fiancee?"

Jimmy asked. There was a trace of admiration on his handsome and resolute face, but underneath it was the intent of luring the girl.

Joy couldn't help feeling disgusted when she thought of the woman, who was almost naked in his office, and the big-breasted girl named Anna downstairs.

"I hate guys like you. Don't even think about it!"

Joy lost her cool.

Jimmy was shocked. How dare this woman look down on him!
