Chapter 1 CHAPTER

"Mommy! Mommy! Can I bring my lollipops?" The 10 year old Aera is very excited while helping her nanny to prepare her things in going for a camping in Crystal Cove Park.

At her early age, she already looked so stunningly beautiful and tall. Her long blonde hair looked soft and silky. Her face glowed and radiant. Her green eyes are big and her lips are plump that looked really soft and moist.

As she helps her nanny pack their things, she didn't forget to include her lollipops with different flavors like red strawberry, hot pink watermelon and her favorite, the mystery flavor.

"Okay baby, but bring only few. You might get a toothache for eating too much of those!" Her mom was also busy packing with her dad's things.

"Okay mom! Thank you!" She felt excited as she put her lollipops inside her sling bag. It was planned a very long time ago but because of her mom and dad's hectic schedule in work, they always ended up rescheduling it.

"Let's go Aera!" Ericka, her nanny carried their bags and pulled her downstairs and run outside where the car was parked.

Her dad started the engine when all of them settled inside the car. While they were travelling, she fell asleep and lays her head on her nanny's shoulder.

"Do you think it is better for us to stay in the Cove with our situation like this?" Her mom whispers to her dad.

"We have to stay there while I'm thinking for a solution to our problem." Her dad answered.

The drive through the Crystal Cove Park took them 2 hours to arrive. They stepped out of the car and a middle-aged man guided them to the boat in the riverside to drop them off at the camp site.

" Wow! It's so amazing here!" she exclaimed and Ericka smiled at her while tapping her head gently. She enjoyed riding the boat as she enjoyed the view.

Aera looked around innocently when they arrived at the camping site. There were trees and wild flowers everywhere. She could spot an area with tents in the distance. They walk from the boat to the camp site to where they were staying at when an old man approached them.

"Welcome to the Crystal Cove Park Mr. Choi and family! I am Mr. Liu and I'll be serving you as your camp guide.

" Hi Mr. Liu. Can you tell me where could we put our things first?" Her dad tapped Mr. Liu's shoulder gently.

Mr Liu guides them to the blue and green tent that was already built in the middle of the site. The green tent belongs to her mom and dad while the blue one is for her and Ericka.

" Thank you so much Mr. Liu!" mom smiled at him.

"I will leave you for a moment to rest because later on, we will be having a quick tour. I'll show you everything here." Mr. Liu waved goodbye as he walk away from them.

"Let's get inside the tent Ericka!" Aera happily pulled Ericka inside the tent as she puts down all their belongings.

Ericka lays down her petite body inside the tent while Aera was giggling while she rolled her body playfully.

"Take a rest first Aera. Aren't you tired from travelling?" Ericka asked her.

"Nope! I'm so excited! I want to play and stroll in the forest!" Ericka didn't answer her and when she turn to look at her, she's already sleeping with her mouth slightly open. Then she remembered her lollipops.

She opened her bag and pulled out her bags of lollipop. She was about to open her favorite one when a wild rabbit entered their tent and snatched her favorite. Then the rabbit run in the deepest part of the forest.

She searched around for a help but she couldn't find anyone. She thought maybe her parents were taking a nap inside their tent. She didn't think any further and followed the rabbit alone inside the forest.

She found herself in the middle of the forest and stopped for a moment to admire the beauty of the nature. There were wild yellow and white flowers scattered everywhere. The trees were tall and the wind was whistling.

After a minute of enjoying the view, she decided to look for the rabbit who took her lollipop. She started running again when she heard a loud growl that was coming near her.

Her heart pounded fast as she run her life through the darkness of the forest.

"Help! Please someone help me!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. She tried to run as fast as she could but the animal is faster than her. When she turn around, her eyes widened in horror when she saw a black bear looking hungry searching for a prey.

Her face were filled with tears and her legs were wobbly and she knew she would pass out anytime. Her body was getting weaker and her vision getting blurred.

She was losing hope. She stopped and closed her eyes to prepare for the attack and ready to be eaten alive when she heard someone throwing stone at the bear.

Chapter 2 CHAPTER

Her eyes snapped open and she saw a light coming from the young boy who is wearing a black hooded jacket bravely hitting the bear with a stone. When he luckily hit the eye of the bear, she heard the impact of the hard blow. The bear yelp and run away from them.

Then there was an awkward silence. Instantly, tears of happiness flowed hotly on her temple. She had never been relieved in her whole life.

"Miss are you okay?" the young boy walked towards her and help her stand up from the ground.

"I'm not okay. I feel scared!" Hot tears rolled down on her cold cheek again and the young boy comforted her as he wipes away her tears.

"You're shivering." He took off his jacket and put it around her and she welcomed the comforting heat of his jacket. She tried to see his face but it was too dark and her vision gets a little blurry.

He started walking ahead of her and she silently followed him. They used his flashlight to light their way going back to the camp site.

"What are you even doing here in the middle of the forest?" The boy started asking her.

"I followed the rabbit who took my lollipop!"

"What?! Are you fucking insane! You risk your life just for a lollipop? Are you stupid or what?" the boy stops from waking and face her.

"I didn't know there's a wild bear here! They said it was a safe place to camp in! Besides, it was my favorite duh!" She snapped at the boy.

"Of course there were wild animals here! It's a forest duh!" he mimicked her. "What do you expect duh!"

"Stop copying me! I told you I didn't know! How about you? What are you doing here?"

"I am with my family. I was going back from taking pictures when I heard you scream." he answered and started walking again.

"Oh, I forgot to thank you. Thank you for saving my life. You're my hero now. I'm Choi Aera by the way, and you are?"

"I'm Jeon..." But before he could finish what he was about to say, they heard gunshots coming from the camp site. They were shocked and Aera screamed at the top of her lungs.

She run towards the site and started calling for her mom and dad and Ericka but before she could get any further, the boy grabbed her hand and covered her mouth.

He dragged and pulled her away hiding themselves at the back of the huge tree. They sat down as he turned off his flashlight and whispered to her ear.

"I'll remove my hand from your mouth but please be quiet okay?" she nodded and he removed his hand immediately. She hiccuped as she controlled herself from sobbing.

She covered her ears with both of her hands as the gunshot getting louder and louder. When it stopped, they heard footsteps walking towards them. They spotted two shadowed man holding a gun.

Her body trembled from fear. Tears streamed down her face as she buried her face on the young boy's chest.

"There's no one here! Let's get back to the site!" the first man started complaining.

"But I heard a scream of a girl! I'm sure of it!"

"She might be eaten by wild animals if she won't get out from here until tomorrow! Let's go!"

" Okay! But what would we tell to boss? He will definitely ask us if we killed everyone!" The second man keeps insisting to find the girl.

"Then tell him we killed everyone! Idiot!" When they walked away from them, her body relaxed a little bit but still feels sorrow upon hearing that they killed everyone.

"Who were they? They said they killed everyone! Did they also kill my family?" her body stiffened. She can't imagine her life living without her family.

"I don't know! I really don't know!" His tears started streaming down his face as well. "Let's just stay here for a while and get back after we're sure that they were all gone."

Aera started to cry thinking her mom and dad were dead including Ericka. The boy patted her back gently while he wiped the tears away from her eyes. She leans on his chest and hugs him. He hugged her back running his fingers into her long blonde hair.

She had no one to lean on except him. Her young and innocent mind didn't understand what was happening. She looks up and sees the fear from his eyes. A pool of tears that he's fighting to fall down were seen. She holds his cheek and a tear just fall down. And she wiped it with her long fingers.

"It's okay to cry." she kissed his face and leaned back to his chest and they both cry silently.

After about an hour of waiting, the boy held her hand as he helped her to stand up. And together, they walked back towards the camp site with fear and rage in their hearts.

She let go of his hand when she saw the green tent that her parents were staying. As she come nearer, her heart pounded with anxiety and terror. She saw their dead bodies pooled with blood. She shooks her head and her body tremble as she sobbed loudly.

"Mommy! Daddy!" she was trembling. Dread and hysteria burned through her and she broke down sobbing. She doesn't know what to do, she just stayed kneeling down and crying while she hugs their dead body.

A couple of minutes had passed, she heard people coming towards her. They are the rescuers and officers who came from the city and a middle-aged woman came near her.

"Hi baby girl, I won't ask you if you're okay because I know you're not. Please come with me. Everything will be alright. You will only need to be check by our medical representatives."

She followed the woman and go with them. While on the boat riding back to the city, she looked around to see the boy who saved her but she can't find him. She only see rescuers that were riding in another boat and some survivors who luckily found a place to hide when the killing incident happened.

She wasn't able to return back the hoodie jacket to the boy who saved her. She held the hoodie tight like her life depended on it.

Chapter 3 CHAPTER

When they reached the hospital, they put her in an empty room and a man in white coat came closer and held her hand but she yanked it away.

The doctor tried to get the hoodie jacket away from her hands but she held it tight and she sobs loudly.

"Baby girl, can you tell me what is your name?" the doctor started asking her.

She kept her mouth shut and let her eyes stare down at her fiddled hands. Not a single word had left in her mouth making the room completely silent. She tried to talk but she doesn't know why she can't.

"Baby girl, c'mon tell me your name." the doctor repeats his question. Eager to make her talk.

Her hands began to tremble despite the fact that he was holding them so tight. Her skin began to pale and her lips didn't part even once to open, not even a sign of hesitation was shown.

When the doctor left her alone, she cried. She cried all night. She feels miserable. She feels alone. She has no one but that hoodie she's holding.

The next morning, she was asked again but still the same as yesterday. She didn't answer any of the questions that was asked to her.

Soon enough, a guy came inside the room and run towards her. He suddenly hugged and kissed her all over face while he sobs loudly. He hugged him tightly never want to let her go. She recognized him as her older brother Cheol who was working abroad.

"Aera! Aera! What happened to you? Oh my God! It's me Cheol! Please talk to me! Baby girl talk to me please!" he's hysterical. When he watched the news in the television, he immediately took the earliest flight from San Francisco California to Seoul.

"Are you the brother?" the doctor eyed him suspiciously.

"Yes doctor! What happened to my sister?! Tell me she's fine! Tell me!" He can't loose his sister. She's all he have now.

"I'm so sorry to tell you but she's suffering from a deeply distress and may suffer trauma with what happened to your parents. She's still in shock and you won't be able to speak to her for a certain amount of time. She won't speak until she is finally able to." The doctor explained briefly.

"What?!" He held his sister's body and hugged her smaller frame tightly as he sobbed on her shoulder. He can't believe this is really happening to his precious sister.

"And one more thing. Don't take that hoodie away from her. It will make her recover fast. I'm pretty sure of it." the doctor's final words before he left the room.

Choi Seungcheol brought Aera with him when he came back in San Francisco to where he was working as an executive assistant in one of the prestigious company in the country. He seeks for the best surgeon that could treat his sister and fortunately, Aera came back with her normal life with the help of him and with the best doctors. And of course, the hoodie helped her a lot. She's one of the best surgeons in California now at her very young age. And he's the proudest brother ever.

At the age of 22, she is now a stunningly gorgeous woman any man would wanted. Her blonde hair still looks so soft and silky. Her yellow dress fitted her perfectly with every curve of her body. Her legs looked so straight and slender with an inch added to her height of 5'7" with those stiletto heels. She really looked like an angel with her big green eyes, a definition of a perfect girl.

"Do you really have to do this?" Cheol leaned on her bedroom door sadly looking at her while he packs her things.

"I need to. Besides, it's a great opportunity for my career. I can teach and share my knowledge with other doctors. And you knew all along why I'm so eager to get back in Seoul, right?" she answered her brother not looking at him.

"Yeah, you want to find that boy who owns that hoodie that you kept for a very long time. But what if he's already married? What if he can't remember you anymore? And what if he's already dead?" He wants to stop his sister from leaving.

"Oppa...! You said you'll support every decision that I make? And don't think like that! I know in my heart that he's also waiting for me. I can feel it!"

"But who will protect you if I'm not beside you anymore?" he dramatically exclaimed. Cheol as a protective brother still wants her beside him all the time.

She came closer and hugged her brother's larger frame. "I am so thankful that you are my brother. You're my favorite, you know that?"

"Of course! I'm your one and only brother duh!"

"But you know I owe my life to him. If not for him, maybe I'm already be dead by now. He means so much to me and I can't wait to see him. I was just too upset that I didn't get his name. It should be easy for me to find him." she looks up to see his brother's reaction.

"Of course, of course! If you happened to see him, please tell him thank you, because he saved my precious baby sister. Please, if only I can go with you."

"Oh oppa! I love you! I love you so so much! But don't worry, I can take care of myself. I'm a big girl now." She buried her face on his chest as tears started to pool in her eyes.

"I wish you were still 10, so that you'll follow everything that I say. So that I can still take care of you. So that you'll forever be at my side. I love you so much baby girl." his tears streamed down his face as he embraced Aera. She's right, she's a big girl now and can make her own decisions and he wants to respect that.

"I love you too oppa. I'll come back immediately after I find him."

Cheol left her room to ready the car that will take her to the airport. She sighed heavily as she continued to pack her things. She paused for a moment and look at the black hoodie jacket that was placed inside her bag. She wants to get rid of it, she wants to free her emotions and memories that was brought to her and still bringing her lonely life as time passes by.

Her savior became her imaginary boyfriend and her knight in shining armor for the past 10 years. She has to find who owns that hoodie to be able to move on with her life. She still remembers Kim Mingyu, her co-doctor asking her out.

"I'm sorry Dr. Kim but I already have a boyfriend."

"Oh, is that so? Where is he? I haven't seen him even once here in the hospital." he annoyingly asked.

"He's in Seoul waiting for me to come back." she calmly answered.

"Okay? What's his name again?" Dr. Kim bombarding her questions, obviously still not giving up.

She heaved a sigh. Doctor Kim is her friend for 3 years now. She didn't know he has feelings for her until last month. He confessed to her while they were roaming around the hospital, checking their patients. "His name is Jeon..." she stopped. She only got his last name.

"Jeon what? See? You don't even know his whole name. I will never give up until you show me and bring him infront of me." He's desperate and still believes that Jeon was just her imaginary boyfriend.

"All the passengers bound to Seoul Korea with flight number 17W , please proceed to Gate 3 immediately. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately 10 minutes. Thank you."

"Oppa, I have to go." She hugged his brother tightly and Cheol buried his face on her shoulder never wanted to let her go.

"Please call me as soon as you arrive in Seoul." He told her.

"Dr. Choi, please take care of yourself. And come back immediately." Dr. Kim who wants to see her for the last time before she left.

" I will Dr. Kim. Thank you. Bye oppa, I love you."

"I love you Aera." he waved goodbye as his sister walked away from them pulling her luggage. She steps slowly as she heads her way to the counter to check-in her baggage.

Cheol and Mingyu didn't move to where they stand until she disappears in their sight. Heavy steps were felt as they stepped out of the airport and get inside their own car.

"Yes, be ready! She's coming back to Seoul." Kim Mingyu warns someone on the phone before he roared and drove off his car.
