Footsteps could be given attention to as the Adams Sanchez Walker, made his way up the building in an elegant costume but with an angry countenance that could make everyone at their desk mess up their dresses.

"Please Sir, I promise to do my job better and this will not repeat itself," one of the employees followed him from behind, beginning with every strength she had in her being but Adams being the stone-hearted boss that he is, continued his route in direction of his office, acting like he was deaf and could not listen to fo her supplications.

The whole building was filled with the lady's voice while there were some new people at the office on that day. Begging and kneeling behind him, Adam stopped informed of his office and standing like a statue, there was total silence all over the place.

Turning his back away from the last and facing her upright, his lips moved together at the same time while his eyes were shiny like that of a newborn baby. His aura was fresh and clean while his elegance always took away the breath of his employees who could not resist him despite the fact that he was very bossy and arrogant too. His shirt was well-ironed out just as always and his pair of brown shoes matched his outfit perfectly well.

Looking at his wristwatch, one could smell money all over him and it was not about the money nor the clothes that he was putting on, but Adam had this manly feature that could take the breath of any girl away and it was just but normal as he was the most handsome in that building.

He was not only handsome with a well-built body like that of an athlete, but he was also, the Ceo of that company which was specialized in types of Furniture from every part of the globe. Being young, rich, and handsome at the same time, Adam had everything he wanted in life, joined to the ones he did not even wish to have and that was something that gave him ground to do whatever he wants with ladies.

He was the 'Love them, leave them" kind of guy who did not spend more than a week with any particular lady. And if he was to be seen with the same girl more than twice, then the lady must be good to the extent where he will not want to stop eating her bud as it will be very tasty.

Being a tyrant at work, everyone feared him and did not want to get into any trouble with him due to the harsh rules that he has implemented for everyone working for him, and one of those rules were violated by the lady who was begging to have her post back though everyone knew that it was not going to be possible anymore.

In the (WFGC) which means Walker Furniture Group of Companies, no employee had the right to fail in their task because, they were not going to be given a second chance again and everyone bearing that in mind, their jobs had to be spontaneous.

"What is your job description in this company Ms. Cheryl?" his mouth gave way and the words made their path out of it sounding very firm and the lady still kneeling on the floor, responded with her head lowered to the ground saying,

"I am your secretary Mr. Walker."

"So as my Secretary what are your functions?" he asked another question and this time, his right hand brought down the dark glasses which were on his face, giving rise to a more severe and wicked man as the others always tame him when he is not around and immediately after the listened to his second question, she began to beg again, and her lips moved faster while she struggled to go explain herself and the reason as to why his business meeting was not scheduled on time but Adam bot being in the mood to listen to her weeping, said,

"You are fired," and he lifted his head to call for security to come to get her out of there before he calls the cops on her for making him lose a great business deal the previous day. Everyone's reaction was frozen for some time, leaving them in an awkward situation as though it was the first time that they were beholding something like that taking place at the office.

Their bodies shiver from the outcry of their colleague or better still, ex-colleague who had lost her job just like that without any second chance and to say that she was hurt, was an understatement because they were taking all sorts of abuse and maltreatment from their boss simply because the pay was so good.

Walker Furniture was one of the highest-paid companies in the whole of the country and only to get an internship in that structure, you must really have really or stand out amongst the best in your school and they decided to send your credentials to the company. That is if your school is accredited to the company and they have some sort of partnership backing it up and that is where June Addison, catches sight of her first experience as an intern and the first view was not just the best for her. Amazed by all that she had observed, it was as if her whole life had stopped for a moment leaving her to wonder whether she was hallucinating or she was watching something like that take place in front of her. Stuck on the chair after the horrible scene she had just witnessed, her name was called out from the back deck so that, she could go drop off her documents for reviewing, and the results were to be given to her in some minutes.

But was June going to submit her documents to work in such a toxic environment and with a boss like the one she had just witnessed some moments ago?

Going to the department to submit her documents and sitting there, her spirit was very disturbed and from the look on her face, she could not help but to turn back at every given opportunity to have a look at the man who was going to become her boss. Lost in thoughts as to the fact that, such a cute face could have a toxic behavior, June had sweat running through her pants, leaving her in a somewhat happy to sad mood.

She was happy at first to come work in such a big company which has always been her dream to work there of course, but after what she had seen, her whole existence had crumbled.

"Hello, Ms. Addison, are you daydreaming?" the lady sitting in front of her asked and June coming back to herself, let out a smile on her face, and with her head down whole she picked her fingers, she apologized for being off and eating it won't happen again, the lady had understood that she was very tensed about something so she proceeded to ask her what the matter was and June lifting her head back up, asked,

"Is he always like this?"

"Who are you referring to?" the last asked seeing the fear that had consumed her and was making her look so frightened and she said,

"Mr. Walker," his name fall off her mouth like some demon's, and feeling so strange her head went back down searching for her toes in her shoes. Understanding what she was going through, she was touched by the shoulder and with a soft voice, the lady told her to go worry herself as he is a nice man just having an attitude sometimes.

Relating to what she had beheld some couple of minutes ago, June felt like she was just saying that in order not to freak her out but that deep down in her, she knew that he is like that. It was very difficult for her to live in a toxic environment, talk more about working in one. Going through her documents, Junes file was complete and her documents were very convincing.

Folding them in a file, she called out Junes full name and with a smile she said,

"Based on what I have seen and confirmed here, you are fit to be an intern here, hence, congratulations on your new job," she spoke out looking so lively. Her heart was filled with so much joy that she did not know whether to scream out in joy or to hold herself back. Getting an internship in that company was no child's play and seeing how difficult it was to get one, the news has completely brushed away the fear that she was having in her heart, leaving her to be more than happy for that day.

She planned in giving all her best and to make sure that everything was according to plan in her life, while she works some more to take care of her aunt who had become we mother, since her mother passed away June, was living with her aunt whom she calls her mom since she was just four years old when he mother died of lung cancer, without any money to pay for a better treatment for her.

Getting that offer, it was as though all her dreams were coming through and all she needed to do was to make her life more disciplined to be able to work there. Yes, as the saying goes, 'Good news lasts take away bad ones' and that was exactly what was happening.

"Here, this is your acceptance letter, and in it, you will find your payment information, working hours, the job description for your post, and so on," the lady spoke out handing it over to her.

"Thank you so much, I appreciate you," she muttered all happy. To her, that was a big dream that was coming to realization. June has always dreamed of being a big interpreter alongside it, a good company worker. So finally getting her dream job, she was going to be able to interpret in the languages that she knows best, but also, she was going to be able to help the company with its foreign clients, just as she had anticipated doing giving her a rice mood.

The company was known for its large number of foreign investors as well as its food productivity and going to France has always been her dream which was why, she needed to work to get some more skills as a big-time interpreter that she was dying to become, but above all, she was go make so much money to be able to sponsor herself over there in a good university in France for bigger opportunities as well as good grounds.

June picked up her file containing her documents from the table and went to have a sit on the visitor's seat which was by the corner, she has opened the envelope and began to read.

Shocked at the amount that was there, she almost screamed out of excess joy, beholding the payment that she was going to receive just as an intern, and she in bewilderment,

"One hundred and fifty thousand France CFA?" the other employees who were seated by her, felt the excitement in her voice and they liked it so very much. Taking a deep breath in and out, June signed one of the copies in the file, and standing up to go hand it over to the lady at the interview section, she was to keep one to herself. Unknown to her, Adam had been looking at her through his window for some time and seeing how excited she was, he wondered why she was shaking that much and almost picked up her phone to call the HR department to send June inside when his cell phone rang out and he picked it but later stood up to co outside and have a check at something.

When June was done, she decided to head back home to give the good news to her mother. Going through the corridor with the happiness that was in her heart, she walked so fast that she had not noticed the man that was before her with a phone on his ears and trying to hurriedly squeeze herself through the hallway, she mistakenly pushed him from behind and her documents that she was holding, fell on the ground while dispersing terribly.

"I am so sorry air, please pardon me," she said going down to get her documents on the floor but June had not yet realized that her boss was the person she had pushed. When she took up her head to have a look at the person and to check if he was okay, June's blood had stopped running through her veins with tears cropping in her eyes.

What is going to be her fate, knowing the kind of employer Adams is?

He could see the fear that had settled on June's face and still in the ground, she just looked at him with a voice in her head, telling her to melt where she was. Having Adam before her, she could have a look at his face and wondering what was going on in his mind, she began to apologize with her hands and mouth shivering just at his stare.

The mug of take away coffee that she was holding in her hand, got spilled over his coat, leaving it in a messy state. June's tongue had suddenly disappeared and she was in a serious dilemma being faced with the tyrant that was standing just before her. Catching sight of Adam twisting his face in anger as well as him not saying anything about the stain that was on his suit, June was aware of the fact that she was dead.

"I am so sorry sir, it was a mistake and I had not caught a glimpse of you walking before me," she pleaded with tears rolling down her eyes, and the rest of the personnel who had caught sight of the incident turned their head and began calling one another with the fear that, she was into a hot bowl of soup.

The fact that Adam was not saying anything and he just kept on staring at her, gave June more reasons to be scared of the worst. Her mind was already thinking of the different ways he was going to descend on her and giving attention to him say to his caller to give him a minute as he had a minor situation to resolve, June began to cry like a baby.

Seeing her tears and her innocent looks, Adam was moved by them and could not tell why he was feeling so vulnerable before her.

"Poor thing, she will be dismissed from the company even before she must have started," an employee whispered and the other who was standing behind her told her to lower her voice as it may attract some troubles to them if she is heard.

"What is your name and what are your functions in my company?" Adam raised a question keeping his stare on her and making sure that she was very well intimidated but a part of him had fallen head over heels for June just at first sight. There was something about her that had captivated him just as he set his eyes on her but Adam could not tell what it was actually. Looking at her hair, right down to her fine eyes which were finely shaped like almonds, and standing on top of a straight pair of the nose which made her slim cheekbones be somehow forgotten when looking at her face.

But her lips were something he could not resist, they were beautifully made on her heart-shaped face, giving her an innocent glance which was difficult for any man in his right senses to resist. Adam went further and further as his eyes captured her neck and the breathing rate at which she was breathing due to the fear which she was feeling inside of her.

Lost in his gaze as well, June could not stop staring at him but in fear since she could not begin to start looking at him in another way. Lost in thoughts, she heard an alike voice asking,

"Does anyone knows who this lady is?" and immediately she heard him say that her consciousness had come back, leaving her in an awful state as she realized that his eyes were still on her though he had asked the question. June wanted to plead some more but the words did not seem to come out of her mouth and wanting to force them out, she gave attention to a female voice, walking p behind her saying,

"Yes, Mr. Walker, she is the new intern who just got an internship here at the company under the translation department and she is to start tomorrow," the lady spoke out in fear with her eyes looking at June. Staring at the lady, June had noticed that she had no choice but to respond to him and get was entirely something she could not do anything about.

"I see," Adam spoke out with his gaze still stuck on her. Asking the lady to go back to her duty post, June could see the resentment that was burning in Adams's eyes, and thinking that she had already lost her job, she lowered her head in fear while waiting for her verdict and possible termination of contract from him and the other too, sat behind their machines and waited as well.

Looking at her, he let out a breath of disappointment and asked again,

"For how long is your contract and from what academy are you from as well as the name of your administrator?" At that point, everyone knew that June was done and that she was just going to face something big as punishment but June not wanting to get anyone else into trouble because of her stupidity, knelt in front of Adam and without thinking of what people may say, she pleaded with him saying,

" You did not need to call my manager Sir, I beg of you pity me and ask me whatever you want and I will do it for you." The words she had just brought out of her mouth were very strong and knowing the type of person he is, she was very naive that she could not tell that he was going to use it to his advantage. Being a pervert who loves to do things in his way, he thought of something so ask from her which was going to be difficult just to break her and he said,

"Become my maid or you lose everything."

That was what she had planned to do and being a maid was not her dream but was June going to serve her boss as a maid to be able to get back her job in his company, or was she going to quit everything and leave from there with her dignity still intact?
