Chapter one

Renee's P.O.V

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday Nerissa"

The beautiful hums that emanated from the sitting area filled my ears while I stood in the darkness, opening the kitchen faucet in a bid to rinse the plate. It was my sister's birthday and she had just turned 18.

Sadly, it was mine as well but my adopted parents never considered me as their daughter because I was nothing but a lowly wolfless omega, clumsy, frail, and timid and to worsen it I was.....

"Arrgh" A painful groan escaped my lips and the plate that I was holding fell to the ground at that moment, my heart slammed against my ribcage because I knew that I was done for.

Her scent wafted through my nostrils and before I knew what was happening, she grabbed a fistful of my hair, screaming while I shuddered. "You blind girl! I know that you can't see but can your brain let you know that the whole sink is foaming with bubbles?"

I shrieked, mumbling while trying to adjust the blindfold over my eyes. "I....am....sorry. I had no idea" She released my hair, causing me to slam my forehead against the sink.

I winced in pain, trying to find something to hold onto since I couldn't see anything.

Holding onto the edge of the sink as tears streamed down my face while she yelled. "Just because you are the adopted daughter doesn't mean that you can be this wasteful and the Luna will surely deal with you for breaking this plate"

Lowering my head, I apologized. "Please don't tell the Luna. She is going to kill me if she finds out that I did something like that. I promise that I won't make any more mistakes so can you please allow me to use the dishwasher"

She mimicked before she spat right on my face. "Can you listen to yourself? How are you going to use the dishwasher when you can't see anything? Anyways pack the broken plate and dispose of it now before I get back"

I heard the sound of her footsteps which I had soon mastered as she stomped away. In that fleeting moment, my legs crumbled and I fell to the ground, tears streaking down my face as I struggled to look for the broken piece of plate.

Crawling, something pierced into my palm and a wince escaped my lips. I could feel blood drawing out of the spot but despite the searing pain that I felt, I managed to take the pieces of the broken plate from the ground.

I was starving but I couldn't eat until after 6pm since that was the law the Alpha and Luna placed down for me. I was to only eat twice a day- Breakfast and Dinner.

Swallowing the heavy lump that formed in my throat, I went back to doing the dishes, crying so hard that the blindfold around my eyes clung to my skin because of how wet it was.

I wanted to end it all!

I was tired of living like this and it was useless praying to the moon goddess because all the times that I was bullied and mistreated, she never answered any of my prayers instead, it worsened.

Jolting me out of my thoughts, the head servants soon stormed into the kitchen as she yelled at me. "Your parents told you to prepare for the birthday party by joining the other slaves like you in cleaning the garden. Now leave!"

In haste, I ran out of the kitchen, hitting my arm against the door while she laughed at me and at that moment, my eyes watered with tears. While cleaning with the other slaves, someone would intentionally push me to the ground, they would hurl dried leaves at me and cuss out me for being a curse.

A curse?

Maybe they were right. They might be slaves and Omegas but at least they weren't wolfless like me and they weren't mistreated like me who is the legal daughter of the Alpha and Luna, yet I was treated like a piece of shit.

Maybe I should just commit suicide? No! Even though the whole world hated me, at least someone didn't and he saw beyond my disabilities and loved me for who I was.

Kade, my boyfriend. In a world filled with nothing and chaos for me, he was the only thing that made sense. His scent comforted me and he promised to save me from my misery.

He was worth living for and I loved him senselessly. The way he would kiss me on the forehead, kiss the back of my palm, and most importantly, the day he removed my blindfolds and pressed his lips on my eyes.

After so many hours of working so hard even though it was also my birthday, I sat in the garden, the sound of fireworks booming through the air and the song that emanated from the pack house filled the whole place.

It was now time for Nerissa's birthday party while I remained stuck in the garden, chewing on some expired seaweed that tasted sour before downing an expired milk that tasted weird.

However, I was used to eating expired products and leftovers so I had gotten used to the taste.

Anyway, I was glad that I would have a lot of leftovers to eat for the night and I would make sure that I kept the food before the head servant caught me and accused me of stealing like she once did.

Sending a voice note to Kade, I said. "Kade, I am in the garden waiting for you. You would find me at our........." I paused when a scent wafted through my nostrils.

That was Kade's. He was here already but yet, he seemed far away.

Reaching my hands for my white cane, a smile formed on my face as I arose and took the cane, following the scent, and with every step that I took, his scent drew me closer to him.

However, I froze when it seemed like his scent was soon disrupted by something else. Could it be for the fact that other people were around?

"Kade" I called out, welcomed with nothing but total silence.

Maybe I had mistaken his scent for something else and I was about to turn back when the scent pulled me again but this time, my stomach churned for an exact reason that I couldn't place.

Walking closer to where he was, my heart palpitated with fear and anxiety when I began to hear some funny sounds. Was my hearing now impaired?

The sound of skin slapping against the other filled the air and most importantly, the moans and muffled screams.

What was going on?

Why was Kade's scent pulling me in that direction? Something was wrong and.......

My train of thought was broken when I heard something that shattered my heart into pieces.

"Fuck me......um....fuck"

Wait for a second, wasn't that Nerissa's voice? Who was she with?

My fingers soon wobbled against the cane that I held firmly as I took tiny steps toward where the sound emanated.

"Do I kiss you better than she does, does she fuck you better than I do?" I heard Nerissa moan and I just couldn't wrap my head around why Kade's scent was so powerful here.

The screams, moans, and groans worsened and all of a sudden, my heart sank into my stomach when I heard that voice, his voice.

"That bitch is a virgin. She doesn't compare to you in anything.......why are you so tight.... Nerissa" I heard him say and slowly, the white cane that I gripped fell from my hands.

Kade!

No! That was Kade's voice.

Almost losing balance, I screamed at the top of my lungs. "Kade, how could you......Nerissa! How? Why?"

With tears cascading down my cheeks, it just didn't make any sense to me. It felt like a dream but when he said my name, it soon hit me that it wasn't a dream and he was indeed having sex with Nerissa.

I was beyond shattered. The same Nerissa who had always loathed him and advised me against dating Kade because according to her, he was just a beta's son and a low life who was just horny. She said she hated him and since she hated him, I had to hate him as well.

But maybe I should have because......

Nerissa's laughter came as echoes in my ear and the next thing I heard was her slurping on his cock. She slurred. "Too bad sister, you can't see or else you would have been able to witness this beautiful sight"

"I felt bad that everyone forgot about your birthday so this is my birthday gift to you, Happy 18th birthday, Renee."

Chapter two

Renee's P.O.V

As soon as those horrible words escaped her lips, I fell to the ground, clutching my chest as I kept exhaling in panic. I heard Nerissa click her tongue, and the sound of her footsteps approaching me, and when I heard the sound of dried leaves crunching underneath her shoe, I knew that she had crouched down before me.

Struggling to breathe, I choked a whisper, tears streaming down my face like a free fall. "Why? Why are you doing this to me, Nerissa? What have I done to deserve this?"

Nerissa burst into a peal of hysterical laughter. "So you didn't like my birthday gift......" Her words trailed as she clicked her tongue in her mouth.

Slowly, I felt her fingers trail my jaw as she lifted it. "You seem to be forgetting that if I am not happy, then you can't be. How can you have a boyfriend when I am single? Anyways, no one must hear about this not even my parents because if you tell anyone about this, I will ensure that your mentally deranged mum is kicked out of the mental institute"

My heart skipped a bit at that moment.

No! Not my mum. She needed all the treatment that she could get.

She stood up while I heard as she dusted her dress. "So please act like you didn't see anything......" Her words trailed off. "What am I even saying? You can't see anything because you are blind and you have been blind from birth"

"Let's go, Kade, and make sure that you attend the night party, sister" Nerissa mocked and when she left with Kade, everything inside of me crumbled and I broke down in tears.

My heart hurts.

Everything that just happened felt so surreal. The Kade that I knew would never do this to me but at the same time, that was his scent and most importantly, his voice.

My mind soon strayed towards my mum at the pack's mental institute and fear clawed at my throat when Nerissa's threat resounded in my head. I couldn't afford to have my mum thrown out of the mental institute since the pack catered for her.

It was just so fucked up that my mum was mentally unstable because of Nerissa yet, she was treated like nothing.

Years ago, a huge fire razed the whole building during Nerissa's fifth birthday. Since I was an omega, I wasn't allowed to be around Nerissa and always stuck with my parents all the time.

I have never celebrated my birthday and that day, I snuck into Nerissa's room out of curiosity because I wanted to know what a cake felt like since the maids took her cake into her room.

Since she wasn't in her room, I took a matchbox, ready to light up the candles on the cake when the door swung open, and out of fear, I threw the match stick that was already lit when their screams and gasps echoed through the entire place.

I mean, how could I have forgotten about those evil triplets, Lennox, Levi, and Louis who made life a living hell for me from an early age?

They bullied me, made me feel less of myself and the only thing that made me glad was that I would never see them again.

Back to the story, I ran out of the room panicking but unknown to me, because of the match stick that I threw, fire engulfed Nerissa's room and to worsen things, Nerissa had been in her room all along, stuck with one of the triplet brothers, Louis.

My late dad, who noticed how I panicked, found out that I was the one behind the fire and Nerissa and Louis were stuck in the room. Risking his life for them, he went inside the fire, bringing out Nerissa and Louis but when he almost came out, a log of wood fell on him and he got stuck in the fire and died.

His death caused my mum to be mentally unstable.

Because of that tragic event, the Alpha and Luna adopted me even though they hated me for causing the fire, and on the other hand, the triplet brothers despised me so much that they tagged me as a murderer who almost killed one of them.

Anyway, I would never be setting eyes on them ever since their fallout with Nerissa which caused them to be archenemies.

After marshaling the last bit of strength inside of me, I made my way to the hall where Nerissa's birthday party was being held. Holding firmly to my cane, I hid behind the other slaves, sobbing silently because of the heartbreaking event that kept replaying in my head.

How could Kade do that to me? How?

Making a tiny sniffle, I adjusted the blindfold over my eyes, swallowing the heavy lump that formed in my throat.

Applause echoed through the entire hall and I figured out that Luna was about to give her boring speeches like she always did during Nerissa's birthday.

"I want to thank each one of you for honoring my beloved daughter's birthday. However, this night, I have a very important announcement to make and it is concerning the senior school whose session will be starting tomorrow"

I knew that it was the same old boring speeches. The Luna was amongst the sponsors of the arts high school which almost all the elite members of the packs attended.

I never attended though since I went to a local pack school meant for the slaves but that didn't mean that I had no idea about the things happening in the Elites Arts High School.

Stories about how the triplets terrorized the school, and bullied those that were beneath their ranks even though they were Elites, and that in turn earned them the nickname of the Alpha Devils.

I heaved another sigh of relief, placing my hand on my forehead. "At least, I wouldn't have to hear horrible news about their atrocities any longer since they aren't here"

Luna, Patricia continued. "I am also glad to announce to you all that for this session, the Alpha......"

All of a sudden, someone screamed. "It is the Alpha Devils. They are back!"

My heart lurched and for a second, it felt like I heard wrong. How could they be here? It wasn't just possible.

However, when the slaves around me squealed in excitement, I knew that it was damn real.

The sound of the camera's clicking echoed through the entire place and the murmurs from everyone.

"Louis has gotten more handsome. His hair is now blonde"

"Look at Lennox's broad shoulders and his curly long hair. They have all gotten so tall, they look like fallen angels"

"Levi is stunning! I am in love" Despite the fear in my heart, my face scrunched up in disgust.

It didn't matter if they were like Greek gods, their hearts were dark and they would forever remain ugly in my imagination.

The Luna laughed. "I am glad to announce to you all that they will be attending the session and another good news, there is going to be one lucky person who isn't a high-ranking member of the pack and this person will also be attending"

Everyone squealed In excitement not because of the poor lucky winner but because of the triplets that would be attending.

To worsen things, I just couldn't understand why the slaves were excited about being able to attend that school. These fools were praying to be chosen since they all submitted their names to the ballot days ago.

Well as for me, I would rather die than ever attend that evil school filled with bullies and unhealthy competition so I didn't even bother putting my name in the ballot box. Plus I was going through a series of heartbreaks and the last thing that I wanted was for the triplets to see me after so many years.

Their last words to me replayed in my head causing me to shudder. "The next time we set eyes on you again, we will make you cry so bad that you would beg for death instead"

Cold shivers ran down my spine and while I prepared to sneak out of the party, I heard the Luna say. "Now, I am dipping my hand into the ballot box, and the lucky winner who will be on a scholarship throughout his or her senior year is......." She paused, the air hung heavy with suspense and anticipation.

Almost sneaking out of the party, I froze when she mentioned. "Renee Smith"

What?

That was my name? How? There must surely be a mistake somewhere.

Even though I couldn't see anything, I could feel everyone's eyes and it felt more like the ground should give up its content and take me instead.

I mumbled, ebbing to the wall- So I thought.

"I ... never.....submitted my name into the ballot box. I....." All of a sudden, a scream of horror echoed through the entire place, and before I knew it, I had crashed into something.

"My cake!" Nerissa screamed at the top of her lungs.

Tears began to stream down my face because I knew that I was done for. The alpha and Luna had warned me against my clumsiness and had given clear instructions for me not to attend the birthday party but Nerissa wanted me there.

If I didn't listen to her, her parents would deal with me.

When I heard the clicking sound of stilettos approaching me, I knew that this was my end. In a matter of seconds, she gripped me by the collar of my shirt as she screamed. "I am so going to slap you in the face"

All of a sudden, I heard someone growl. "Don't you dare lay a finger on her, Nerissa"

However, at that moment, my heart skipped a beat because it felt like the triplet brothers approached me and time went still.

A different scent, something that I had never felt before wafted through my nostrils. It was soothing and comforting and an overwhelming sensation coursed through my body, causing goosebumps on my skin.

Their scents wrapped around me like warmth and they smelled like a variety of flowers.

My voice was barely above a whisper. "Mates"

I could feel the triplets now standing before me and in that moment, they all murmured. "Mate."

Chapter Three

Author's Narration

The last thing that the triplets ever imagined was the fact that they would be mated to Renee, the same woman whom they considered a murderer and a pretentious being who used her blindness as a facade to act as a saint even though she was purely evil!

To Lennox, Levi, and Louis, only evil would be used to cure evil and by evil, they meant-Renee.

Lennox, Levi, and Louis were made to leave the country shortly after their mum passed away after battling cancer for years. Their father, who was the Alpha of the Eclipse moon pack, was more bothered about the issue of the pack than caring about his family.

The relationship that the triplets shared with their father was nothing to write home about because not only was he abusive towards them, he would always blame them for all the bad things happening. He blamed them for being behind their mum's death and he also blamed Louis for being stuck with Nerissa in the fire, telling him that he should have just died with his brothers!

Since that time, the urge, the anger to pay back Renee for everything and make her life miserable had always lived in their hearts.

All they wanted was to break her so bad!

Years passed and the triplets returned to the country but with one thing in mind- To keep Renee so close and make her life a living hell!

Lennox stepped inside the hall where Nerissa's birthday party was being held and the first thing he did was to swivel his gaze around the entire place in search of Renee. "I can't find her anywhere," He said.

Levi nodded. "Same here, are you sure that she is still alive and that you did as we planned?"

Louis shrugged. "Of course. She must be around here, I am sure of that"

Still trying to search for Renee, the triplets exchanged pleasantries with some of their childhood friends but Nerissa on seeing them scoffed, rolling her eyes to the back.

Lennox smirked, patting Louis on the shoulder. "It seems like your ex is still in love with you"

Louis scowled. "That doesn't look like love to me but hatred; however the good thing is that I also don't like her. She can go to hell as long as I care so where is this....." Before he could complete his words, the Luna began her speech, announcing the triplets as being among those that would be attending the school's senior year.

Lennox watched as she gave her boring speeches before he leaned by his side and toned down his voice. "I know that she hates us and our guts! But does she have any option, Alpha Raymond is the biggest sponsor of the Elites Arts High School"

Levi scoffed. "And we are his children, she can't do....." Levi's words soon got stuck in his throat as soon as he spotted Renee with a blindfold over her eyes, hiding behind the other servants.

Levi noticed that she had gotten prettier than before except for her frail nature and in that moment, a mischievous smile graced his lips as he mouthed. "Bingo!"

A smirk crept at the corner of his lips, diverting Lennox and Louis's attention towards Renee.

"There she is," Lennox said.

A rueful smile crossed Louis's face. "I told you that she is still alive"

To keep Renee closer to them, the triplets devised a plan to make sure that Renee was being kept by their side so they did something crazy. Leaving the task to Louis, Louis paid an insider in Nerissa's house to make sure that Renee's name was added to the ballot box.

The triplets weren't strange to the fact that Renee always tried to avoid and hide from them so to keep her around them and begin their revenge plans, they had to ensure that she was the lucky winner.

The craziest thing about all of this was that all the papers in the Ballot box contained only Renee's name! Louis perfected things in a way that he made the insider destroy the first ballot box that contained all the other applicant's name and exchanged it for a box that was only filled with Renee's name.

The fear on Renee's face when she was announced as the lucky candidate delighted them and they watched as she panicked in fear.

However, things soon took a different turn when Renee collided with the cake and as much as they didn't care that she was humiliated since it was clearly what she deserved, the last thing Louis wanted was for Nerissa to hit Renee.

Lennox mind-linked with his brothers at that very moment. "I know that we all hate Renee but we can't watch Nerissa hit her because she is a loser as well!"

Levi locked eyes with Louis before darting his eyes to Lennox and he responded through the mind-link. "I agree"

Louis scoffed and without thinking twice, he snarled at Nerissa but things worsened when at that moment, they all discovered that they were mated to Renee. The feeling, her scent pulled them closer to her and it was mind-blowing but amidst all of that, the hate that they had for her was much more than whatever they felt in that moment.

Levi's mind- linked with his brothers. "What do we do?"

Lennox, who was still in shock, glanced at Levi. "Should we humiliate and reject her right here"

Louis on the other hand, stared intently at Renee before tilting his head to the left while he responded through the mind-link. "I have an idea. The goal is to keep her close and the moon goddess has already decided to help us by making us mates"

"Are you guys thinking what I am thinking?" A creepy smile danced on Levi's face as he fixed his gaze on Renee.

"I think that we are starting to be on the same page" Lennox responded.

Louis bobbed his head slowly, adding. "Who wants to have fun playing with our new mate?"

Levi and Lennox nodded in affirmation and Louis smirked. "Let's get started with our new mate and since today is her birthday, let us make this day the best day of her life"

Levi added. "It is surely going to be the best day of her life. We are the Alpha Devils, the only thing that we know how to do is have fun and we will be having a lot of fun with our mate, our Renee."
