Break Up

It took Lola Smith a dozen hours to fly from Paris to Sea City. She was completely tired and exhausted.

It was at dusk when she left the airport. The rosy clouds shone brightly in the sky. The afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the city, making the whole city look familiar yet unfamiliar.

Wrapping up her scarf, Lola dragged her suitcase out of the airport, went to the roadside to stop a taxi, and headed straight for the Imperial Glory Hotel.

Thinking that she would see Colin a while later, Lola was inexplicably nervous.

After getting married for two years, they had seen each other only a few times. The last time they had seen each other took place half a year ago when Colin had gone to France for a business trip. Lola stood in the middle of the room and dragged the suitcase at her hand as she was attracted by the view outside the window.
