Chapter 1 One

[Ariya'S POV]

"Finally! I found you. Did you really think you could escape and hide from me for so long?"

My muscles trembled when I heard a deep voice. The room was dark, but it was quite cold because it was fully air-conditioned.

"Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?" I cried out. I sat in a corner, clutching my knees. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop myself from crying due to intense fear.

But it seemed like thunder was laughing as I couldn't make out the man's face. Nevertheless, I knew he was tall and had a large build.

"Playing innocent now, huh? Never has anyone dared to scam me. But you, who do you think you are? Did you really believe you could just escape from me like that? Now I will punish you for what you did to me!" he angrily accused, making me shiver even more. I gasped loudly as I didn't realize he had approached me until he suddenly pulled me.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Please let me go!" I continued crying and pleading, but it seemed like this man was not listening to anything I said.

"Save your fake crying for yourself. You won't fool me again!" he snapped at me, tearing my clothes without hesitation. My entire body trembled even more with fear.

"No, please! Have mercy, please!" I cried loudly, begging him.

"Why? Don't worry, I'm really good in bed. I'll just make the most of the money I paid you. I've seen your face. You're so pretty. Very pretty that I was smitten. And you used that beauty to deceive me after getting my money!" he snarled and forcefully kissed me.

My whole body tensed as I didn't expect that. His strong arms tightened around my waist, and no matter how I struggled, I couldn't counter his strength. "Wait, let me go! I didn't deceive you, I don't even know you!" I insisted while he continued to forcefully claim my lips.

"Fuck! You taste so good," I heard him groan. I screamed when he bit my lips. He wasn't listening to me, and his kisses became even more intense. Now, I could taste the blood from my wounded lips.

He lifted me and threw me onto the bed, quickly looming over me. Suddenly, he tore my blouse. My fear intensified as he proceeded to destroy my bra.

Now, my well-endowed chest was exposed in front of him. It seemed like he was leering at them. I begged him again, but he seemed even more enthralled by what he was doing to me.

Who is this guy, and why is he so angry at me? I don't remember deceiving anyone. I'm not a deceiver. I never deceive anyone. "No! Ahh!" I cried out loudly and screamed when he forcefully grabbed my chest with his hands.

"Fuck! I like your breasts. They are firm and more than a handful. You are so fucking beautiful, Ariya. Is this what you use to deceive many men, huh? Now, we'll see how much you can take. I will fuck every fiber of your body. I will fuck you hard even if your pussy bleeds while doing so!" he angrily threatened.

Every word he said was full of insults and demeaning remarks about my body. "You demon! I'm not a bad person. I don't know what you're talking about. Beast! Let me go!" I angrily shouted at him. Who gave him the right to do all this to me?

"Yes. I am a devil, but only to those who are more evil than me. Like you. Scamming people is one of the things I hate the most!" he said, destroying the remaining pieces of clothing on my body.

He stepped back from me, so I quickly got up and retreated. I covered my whole body with a blanket.

My eyes were used to the darkness, so I could clearly see how he slowly undressed in front of me. I looked away and tried to focus on my surroundings.

In this room, it seemed almost impossible for me to escape.

"Please, have mercy. I really don't know what you're talking about. I didn't deceive you. Please, believe me!" I continued to plead, although it seemed to have no effect on him. This man is so ruthless. He is cold and merciless. He had nothing in mind but to ravage me and took his vengeance on something which I know nothing about.

"Why, did you feel sorry when you deceived me? Now, I'll make you feel that you messed with the wrong person!" he sneered at me and forcefully pulled my legs. I screamed and fell onto the bed. He forcefully removed the blanket covering my naked body.

"Please... stop. It really hurts," I weakly begged as he buried his face in my intimacy. The excruciating pain shot through my abdomen and up to my head. It felt like my body was being split in two, and even my thighs trembled.

"No! I paid a big sum for this. If you're a virgin, then I deserve this for paying twenty million for you," he replied, fully penetrating me.

I screamed again at the unbearable pain, thinking I might lose consciousness.

He pressed himself against me and claimed my lips. This time, his kisses were gentler, without the brutality. I was just grateful that he wasn't moving. With the size of what was inside me, I felt like I would lose consciousness if he did.

"Damn! I want to move. But I will give you time to adjust," he whispered. He lowered his kisses to my jaw, cheeks, and down to my neck.

My hair stood on end as he licked my sweaty neck. But I cried out again when he thrust inside me.

"Please, stop," I continued to cry and whimper due to the pain. I wanted to push him away and fight back. I wanted to hurt him for violating my dignity, something I had carefully preserved for my fiancé. Kevin had respected me, and we hadn't gone beyond kisses and occasional touches.

But this brutal man, so relentless, ruthlessly claimed my body. He destroyed the purity I had guarded so carefully, all fueled by an anger I couldn't comprehend. He accused me of deceiving him for twenty million, but I had no idea what he was talking about.

"Ah..." I cried out again as he bit my shoulder. Each kiss felt malicious, and even his squeezing of my body sent shivers down my spine.

"I will move now. Just endure the pain for a while. It will go away," he said, widening my eyes. Before I could protest, he started thrusting back and forth, intensifying the pain in my private area.

Tears flowed again. I held onto his shoulders tightly, trying to push him away. But he took my hands and placed them above my head. Then he started moving faster.

"No! Stop! Oh, God, it's hurting so much!" I pleaded, crying. But there was no way he would stop. Instead, he plunged himself deeper and faster, groaning with pleasure as he continued to assault my body with his rough actions.

"Damn! So tight and so good! Fuck!" he grunted loudly, ignoring my pleas. He was enjoying himself, indifferent to my pain.

"Stop, please. I can't take it anymore. Enough!" I continued to cry and beg. But instead of slowing down or even pausing, he seemed more motivated. I felt full, and it seemed like there were wounds inside my private area.

"Oh fuck! This is the best fcking I've ever had!" he exclaimed loudly, trembling on top of me as he released his fluids inside me. I winced at the rapid and deep thrusts.

After emptying himself, he pulled out. Even that caused pain in my private area. The fluids he deposited mixed with the blood from my damaged virginity.

I turned to my side, my entire body shaking with painful sobs. I heard him dressing again, including the sound of his zipper.

I gasped when he approached and kissed my cheek.

"From now on, you're mine! Get ready for our wedding tomorrow!" he whispered, making my hair stand on end. My whole body, especially my private area, hurt so much, but I still managed to face him.

"What? Why would I marry you? After you violated me, now you're forcing me to marry you? Just kill me, you beast!" I spat at him. Large tears welled up in my eyes again.

"I didn't violate you because you were paid for your service. And if you don't agree to marry me tomorrow, I'll finish off your family, and I'll present their heads to you one by one!" he threatened angrily. I gasped again and froze. I couldn't speak because I didn't know what to say after being threatened like that.

Without getting any response from me, he left me alone in the room. All I could do was cry and cry, not even realizing when my grief led me to sleep.

Chapter 2 Two

I WOKE UP feeling like my head was being hammered with pain. It felt like I had been beaten up, and my whole body was sore. The muscles ached terribly. Once again, I found myself crying over a fate I never thought I'd experience. Why did all of this happen to me?

I slowly got up. The room was spacious and looked beautiful, but to me, it was like hell, and a demon resided here.

"You're awake! Good!" I turned towards the door and froze when I saw a tall man entering.

I momentarily stared at his striking handsomeness. He had thick eyebrows and deep gray eyes. His nose was sharp, and his lips seemed to have lipstick on, even though I knew they didn't. Was he the one who took advantage of me last night?

"Am I that handsome that you are already smitten? Don't worry, I am all yours since you will be my wife starting today!" he declared with a smirk.

I snapped back to reality, and the intense anger I felt returned. In my fury, tears poured out uncontrollably.

"I won't marry you! You got what you wanted, so let me go. You are the worst person I've ever known!" I shouted at him.

His smirk quickly vanished, and he approached me, grabbing my arm. I winced in pain due to the tightness of his grip.

"You haven't seen the full extent of my wickedness, so don't you dare provoke me. Go, take a shower, and someone will come to attend to you. I have to warn you again, don't you dare defy me or there will be consequences!" he warned, releasing my arm, leaving me almost stumbling in my place. My anger was overwhelming, and I was confused about what was happening.

"What is your problem? I told you I have no fault or connection to what you're accusing me of! Why don't you listen?" I struggled to confront him. Why was he making my life miserable when I hadn't done anything wrong to him?

"Not today, Ariya! Not today! Don't test my patience unless you want to face the consequences!" he threatened sharply. I was silenced, frightened by his expression. Then, he turned his back on me, slamming the door of the room, leaving me startled.

I hesitantly walked towards the bathroom. Along with the flow of warm water from the showerhead, my tears gushed like a flood. My chest tightened, and I closed my eyes tightly as I cried.

I lathered my body several times, but it felt like the dirt wasn't washing away. I felt disgusted with myself, as if I were so filthy. I never thought my dignity would be trampled in this way. How could I convince that demon of a man that I had done nothing wrong to him?

I didn't know how long I stayed in the shower, but even after stepping out, my tears wouldn't stop. A uniformed maid was waiting outside. My eyes went down to the bed, where a simple yet elegant wedding gown lay. Fear flooded my chest again. Even though it was difficult, I approached the maid.

"Miss, please help me. They just kidnapped me. I don't want to marry that demon!" I pleaded. The maid's face showed evident surprise. Her lips opened, and she stared at me as if taken aback.

"Oh, Ma'am, I'm sorry. I can't interfere in your affairs. I just brought your food. And if I were you, never anger Sir. Something worse might happen to you," she replied fearfully. I was left in shock and couldn't immediately respond to what she said.

"W-Why? What kind of person is that man?" I nervously asked. I remembered his threat last night that if I refused to marry him, he would send me the heads of my family. I swallowed hard, and a chill ran down my spine at the mere thought.

He avoided eye contact, intensifying the fear coursing through my entire body. Even my teeth seemed to chatter, and my hands and feet began to grow cold.

"Please eat, Ma'am. I'll leave now," she quickly excused himself. My eyes widened.

"Wait. I still have questions, and-" She ignored me and swiftly exited the room. I looked at the food she brought. They looked delicious, but instead of feeling hungry, I felt nauseous. That man was repulsive, and now, I was disgusted with myself too.

I gasped as the door opened again. The demon returned, and this time, he seemed angrier.

"So, you still haven't eaten? Are you deliberately trying to annoy me?" he asked irritably. I averted my gaze, tears welling up again due to intense fear. Why did the maid react that way earlier? What kind of person was this man?

"I'm not hungry," I replied coldly. I almost couldn't breathe, but I didn't want to cry again. I refused to appear weak in his eyes.

"Really? Why? Did I not do enough to keep you from being hungry? Do you want us to repeat it? It'll be more enjoyable this time since you won't be hurt as much," he taunted, making me step back. I quickly turned away, fearing he might follow through with his words.

My entire body still ached, and I could feel the swelling and what seemed like wounds inside my intimate area. It couldn't happen again. I didn't want anything more to happen between us.

"If you don't want to repeat that, eat. Someone downstairs will take care of you. The wedding is at one," he said grumpily, sitting on the sofa. Then he gestured for me to sit and eat. I swallowed again. I could hardly move from where I stood. The anxiety I felt now was beyond words.

Nevertheless, I sat in front of the food. My hands trembled as I picked up the toast. My chest felt heavy due to the successive stinging sensations, but I resisted crying. I was scared of what he might do to me if he got angry.

"Eat properly, Ariya," he warned, and I gasped. I almost dropped what I was holding.

"Why do you know me? How do you know my name?" I bravely asked, despite struggling to breathe from fear.

"Don't pretend you don't know why," he replied gruffly, giving me an intense stare. He leaned back on the sofa, crossing his arms.

"I'm asking because I don't know," I insisted boldly. Yet, he laughed deviously again. I was confused by his actions. It seemed like everything I said was worthless, and he just laughed it off.

"Just eat. I might not be able to control myself if you don't. You still look so pleasing today," he grinned. My intense fear returned, and I couldn't bring myself to look at him again. I continued eating even though it went against my will.

"Do my parents know what's happening to me now?" I asked after a while. I hadn't gone home yesterday, so I was sure they were worried by now. And Kevin. He would surely wonder why he couldn't contact me.

"Yes. They already knew," he answered casually, but to me, it felt like an explosion.

"What do you mean? What was their reaction?" I asked in confusion. This time, he looked directly at my face.

"I turned off your phone after sending them that text. I only told them that you're with me and that we're getting married today," he casually replied. I was stunned, unable to believe what I was hearing.

"You sent a message using my cellphone? No! Look, whoever you are-"

"Christopher," he interrupted.

"What?" I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"My name is Christopher Campbell. You should at least know the full name of your future husband, right?" he responded with a mocking tone.

"Look, Christopher. I am supposed to marry my fiance, Kevin, that's why I can't marry you. Please, just let me go. I have nothing to do with the accusations you're throwing at me!" I pleaded again. But I quickly bit my lower lip as his gaze turned sharp once more.

"I don't care. As I said, I've already paid you to marry me. If I have to repeat myself, you'll regret it!" he threatened angrily.

I had no choice but to remain silent. Fear once again paralyzed me, wondering what he would do if his anger escalated.

THE TIME FOR the wedding arrived, and my tears wouldn't stop flowing. Fear, anger, and hopelessness overwhelmed me. It was just the two of us and the judge officiating the ceremony.

"You're so evil!" I gritted my teeth at him.

"At least, I don't scam people for money like you. The only good thing about this situation is that at least you're a virgin. My money was still worth it, right?" he insultingly remarked. My anger flared up again, but I restrained myself from responding. No matter how much I explained, he wouldn't believe me. And I didn't know how to convince him that I was innocent.

The entire wedding ceremony concluded with a heavy heart. I wanted to confront him for what he did to me. I wanted to hurt him for the pain he inflicted. But I swallowed it all.

I endured the pain in my chest and cried bitterly while signing that cursed marriage contract. My tears flowed because I lost not only my dignity but also my freedom. Now, I had to forget the man I loved and live with a demon.

When we returned to his room, I sat at the edge of the bed, grieving over the misfortune I endured. I stared into nothingness, savoring the bitterness of the fate I never expected. I felt like I was cursed to have this tragic fate.

I am Ariya Stewart. I just graduated from college with a degree in interior design. I had many dreams, one of which was to become Mrs. Kevin Houghton. I was engaged to him, but now, I am nothing but a devil's wife. I was forced into this, and now I have to face the consequences in the future.

Chapter 3 Three

[Christopher'S POV]

Few week ago...

"Did you lay again?" my cousin Jared teasingly asked me. Jared Graham is my cousin, and among all my cousins, he is the closest to me.

"I always do, just like you. The only difference is that while you're having sex with other women, you call out Sherry's name," I retorted with a teasing tone. He gave me a lingering look, and my laughter intensified.

"How's your romantic escapade with your best friend's daughter? Don't you think she's too young for you?" I asked. I said it jokingly, but I was serious. I believe Jared has a strong impact on that girl.

Ever since his first wife cheated on him, Jared has been hot-headed and involved with various women. That's one more reason why I don't want to get married. However, my family and society have different views. If you don't have a spouse or children, even if you're wealthy and successful in your career, it feels like something is missing in your life. It's a twisted way of thinking that irritates me.

"I already have her under my care. Don't meddle with my love life. You better focus on yours because you'll surely be the subject of teasing again at the reunion tomorrow," he replied with a teasing grin. I let out an exasperated sigh.

What's the problem with my family and relatives that they're insisting I get married? Yes, I have a brother and a sister who are both married with one child each. Since I'm the eldest, they always insist that I should be the first to get married.

I am already forty-one years old, but I don't feel old. I'm enjoying my life, especially my career as the CEO of our corporation, the Campbell Real Estate Company. However, my father keeps insisting that if I don't get married, he'll give my position as CEO to my brother Christian. I've invested blood, sweat, and tears to further grow the company, so I won't allow it to just go to someone else, even if it's my brother.

But my father still holds the highest share in the company, so I can't defy his orders. Perhaps I'll find peace and security once the inheritance among us siblings is finalized.

"I'll find a way to deal with that. I'm getting fed up with their constant nagging to get married!" I replied in annoyance. He laughed at me again.

"I can introduce you to some ladies if you want. What's your type, anyway?" Jared asked with a sly smile. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I don't have any particular standards for women. For me, they're all the same. All they want from me is my good looks, money, and influence. They're all the same!" I downed the remaining contents of my glass. Jared looked at me as if amused.

"They are not the same, Chris. Maybe you haven't truly found someone who will touch your heart. And when you do, I tell you, you will worship her like a crazy teenager on his puppy love stage," he commented. I immediately shrugged him off.

"Don't compare me to you, Jared. I don't believe in love or anything like that. Love is only for the weak and those who want to indulge themselves with the idea. Look at my parents, their marriage was arranged, but still, they were able to live just fine. They even have us. So don't bother me with those meaningless things," I dismissed his words. But he chuckled softly and patted my shoulder.

"I don't know, Chris. Don't speak too soon," he said. "By the way, I'll be leaving. See you at the reunion tomorrow."

He stood up and bid goodbye. I nodded in acknowledgment.

"Okay. If I feel lazy, I might just skip it," I replied and took another sip of my drink.

"You know you can't do that! Better yet, start looking for someone to marry before your dad kicks you out of your company. Although, you have other businesses, so I'm sure you won't be broke if that happens," he teased.

"Idiot! I'm the only one inheriting our company. Go ahead, leave! You're ruining my night," I dismissed him. He just waved at me and laughed before finally leaving.

THE NEXT MORNING, I instructed my personal assistant, William, to find me a legitimate dating site where I could look for potential wives. I don't mind marrying a stranger as long as she doesn't have any diseases or a dark background.

"Noted, Sir. I'll do it now, and I will present the best choices later," he politely replied. There seemed to be excitement in his tone, which made me raise an eyebrow. I nodded and continued with my work.

I'm currently acquiring large properties that can be used for building a shopping mall. Everyone is interested in that location because it's a sure thing for any business endeavors.

After lunch, I found ten folders neatly arranged on my desk. It seemed like William did nothing else all morning but follow my orders.

I went through each profile. All of them were undoubtedly beautiful, but one caught my eye. I picked up the folder with the pretty face of a girl named Ariya Stewart. I liked how innocent she looked.

I checked her background. She had just graduated with a degree in interior design and was currently working at Lace's Homes. She was 22. My eyebrows raised. Still too young for me, but I liked her face. I hoped she had an incredible body too, but it didn't matter as long as she could bear a child for me.

She had beautiful round eyes and a heart-shaped face. Her lips were full and inviting. Just by looking at her, I could say she was the prettiest among all the candidates. I immediately called William on the intercom.

"Have you chosen someone, Sir?" he promptly asked. I nodded.

"I want this one. Make sure to contact her and present all our proposals. Did you say I was looking for a wife and not just a girlfriend?" I asked formally. He nodded.

"Yes, Sir! I provided full details for each one of them."

I nodded and smiled. I glanced at the picture of the woman again. "Contact her now and tell her that we will have the wedding ceremony ASAP," I ordered William. His lips quivered for a moment, but he quickly nodded.

"Okay, Sir! By the way, your dad called and mentioned that the reunion starts at 3 PM. He said you didn't answer his call, so he called me instead," he informed me.

Truth be told, I deliberately avoided answering my dad's call. I was nervous that he might set me up with someone.

I waved William off, and this time, I was smiling. Finally, they would stop pressuring me to get married. At least my future wife is so pretty.

"Fine. Go ahead, take care of that," I said casually.

An hour later, William returned to my office. I was about to leave for the reunion.

"Sir, she's demanding twenty million pesos as an advanced payment," he reported with a hesitant smile. I furrowed my brows.

"That's a lot, isn't it? And can't we talk in person first?" I asked, somewhat surprised. Or maybe that's just how things work, and I'm the one unaware?

"Sir, it's a take-it-or-leave-it deal. It seems many are interested in that woman," he replied, scratching his head.

I closed my eyes and sighed in frustration. Apparently, even getting a wife nowadays can be expensive.

But I am Christopher Campbell. I can't lose to anyone. I should be the one to get Ariya. Moreover, I'm not interested in choosing someone else. I think she's the best candidate for me.
