Grace pushed Ana's door open and came in.

"What should I do about the trouble Jason caused?"

Ana slammed her palm on her table.

"Lose money off the matter"

Ana said coldly.

Ana believes that there is nothing in her heart that money can't solve, money heals

everything.

Growing up in a polygamous family with numerous step-sisters and brothers has taught her to be cold-blooded and evil.

She is beautiful on the outside but dark on the inside. Ana is egoistic and phlegmatic.

Grace left her office and went straight to the hospital.

Jason, Ana's brother is preposterous and loves to party, his stupidity leads him to hit someone with his car and Ana is the one taking care of his shit.

Grace arrived at the hospital to see the patient.

Arriving there she met a guy next to the patient's bed.

"I want to speak with Olivia in private"

Grace announced her presence.

"As you can see, she is in no position to speak with anyone, I'm her brother so discuss it with me"

The young man replied.

"It's about the accident"

He gave his sister a sign that he will be back soon.

Tristan Cross is a very fair person as well as a principled person, he thinks money doesn't represent attitude and that the perpetrator's attitude is excessive.

Ana left for the meeting while Grace went back to the hospital to keep offering Tristan money.

Grace said.

"You guys don't seem to get me, I don't need your money"

"Ok, I will increase the money, accept it and live a normal life, what will you gain from if you sue the company?"

"I'm sick of this conversation"

"Your plan will backfire cause you have no one on your side"

"Oh really? That is where you are wrong"

"Mr. Tristan..."

"I'm giving your so-called company and your boss 24 hours for the culprit to apologize or I will sue"

Tristan insisted.

Grace tries to talk but he didn't give her time to talk.

He went back to his sister's ward.

"What did she say? Will he apologize to me?"

Olivia managed to talk.

"You know the doctor told you not to say a word"

Tristan tried switching the conversation.

"Okay, they tried to bribe us with money"

Tristan smiled and they sue Ana's company.

Ana slammed her palm on her desk angrily.

Ana took a deep breath while using her eyes to scan some company documents.

"Tell John to get my car ready"

Ana said through the telecom.

She left her office and went to the hospital where Olivia is staying.

She asked Grace who was in her office.

"Yes ma'am"

"Let's get this over with"

She left for the conference.

"Is it true that it is a hit-and-run accident?"

A reporter asked.

Tristan was full of rage, he opened the bag, picked up some cash, and threw it on her face.

"You all are the same, for a second, I thought you were nice, you are disgusting, animals"

"You have to understand, it would ruin the company if I apologize and...."

"I don't care, The culprit didn't-show up till the end, I will find a way to destroy all of you, you won't get away with this" Ana tuts.

Tristan was angry but she was right, he doesn't have evidence, They have gotten rid of everything.

He reached her for a hug.

He assured her.

He chuckled.

"Oh yeah, the doctor came here few minutes ago, he said he wants to see you in his office when you are back"

She said releasing herself from the hug.

"Did he tell you the reason why I should come?"

"No, he didn't"

"Okay, I will be back soon"

He went to the doctor's office.

"Doctor Beckham"

"Oh, yeah, come in"

"My sister told me you want to see me, May I ask the reason?"

Tristan asked as he took his seat.

"We need to do another surgery on Olivia"

"Why?"

Tristan exclaimed.

"I did a few test on her earlier and saw a few things in her legs, I need to operate on her very soon or she won't be able to walk again"

Tristan is standing in front of Ana's company.

Ana alighted from her car and saw Tristan but she ignored him.

Tristan didn't approach her.

It was time for Ana to leave her office, she saw Tristan still standing where she met him in the morning.

She didn't say a word to him cause she doesn't want to have anything to do with him anymore so she ignored him.

Chapter 3

THE NEXT DAY.

Ana entered a hotel room.

"You know you are going to get me in trouble if you keep doing this"

Ana said to Zayn, her fiancé.

"And if I don't stop?"

Zayn groaned and stood up from the bed to face Ana.

"You will get into trouble and you will pay the price"

Zayn sighs.

Zayn scans the room with his eyes to look for his shirt.

Ana threw him his shirt that was behind her.

Ana sighs and left the hotel.

"Take me to Father"

Ana said to her driver.

Ana's stepmom announced as she made her way to the entrance.

Ana's father is a playboy, he married three wives. The first wife died of an illness, he divorced the second because he cheated, he was 75 years old when he married the third wife who is older than Ana by a few years.

Ana is the only daughter of the second wife.

"You don't need to do that every time I come to visit Father"

"You are my stepdaughter, why won't I welcome you?"

"Evelyn, you know I don't like you right?"

"We both know that and you need to start calling my mother, Ana"

Evelyn said as she use her hand to stroke Ana's hair.

"Take your filthy hand off me, and don't expect me to call you mother to cause you are not my mother"

Ana said as she removed Evelyn's hand from her hair.

"Whatever, all I know is my mother isn't divorced"

Ana joked.

Ana gave her a deadly stare.

"Well, I need to meet Father, get out of my way"

Ana gave Evelyn an evil smirk.

Evelyn scoffs and left.

"Father"

Ana smiled as she came into her Father's study room.

"She is here"

He took his glasses off and approach Ana.

"Let's take a seat"

"You wanted to see me?"

Ana asked as they took their seats.

"Yes, about your marriage"

"Yeah?"

"I have been hearing rumors, you know I have eyes and ears everywhere, prevent Zayn from causing any absurd rumor to spread"

"Of course, nothing will happen"

Ana assured.

"That is my daughter, you are not like Justin that disobeyed me"

Ana's father married three wives, the first wife gave birth to two children, Justin and Emily. The second wife gave birth to two children too, Ana and Jason.

The third wife is not a mother.

Justin was the heir but his father kicked him out because he didn't agree to an arranged marriage so he made Ana his heir.

Ana smiled.

"I need to be on my way now, I have things to do"

"Okay, I'm done, you can be on your way"

Ana left.

Ana saw Tristan in the same place she saw him the day before, she still did not want to ask what he is doing standing there, he will be tired at some point.

She walked into the company.

"Grace, do you know why that pest is standing there?

"I have no idea, ma'am"

"Get rid of him"

"Ok ma'am"

"Is everyone in the board room?"

"Yes ma'am"

Ana left for the meeting.

"Morning everyone"

She greeted.

Only a few answered her.

"Well, moving on"

She took her seat and use her eyes to scan the papers.

"The stock price is back to normal, we are not having any problems"

"We have one problem, we need investors"

"Investors? I thought we had few investors, what happened to them?"

- "Our rival acquired them, we don't know how but we need investors and we need to find one soon"

Ana grabbed her bag and left the office.

Ana saw Tristan still standing where she left him.

"I want to borrow some money from you"

Tristan is a person that would rather not give in but his sister's high medical expenses forced him into a corner hence the reason he is standing in front of Ana to borrow money.

Ana scoffs.

Ana said as she lead the way to her office.

"I would do anything, please, just borrow me the money, and I will pay you back"

Tristan pleaded as he closed the door behind him

"The situation would have been different if you had just accepted the money back then, you won't be here"

Ana had long noticed that Tristan is different from her. Ana grew up in a very harsh environment, she did not lack money but everyone around her wanted to harm her so she was always pretending to be someone she is not.
