Bloody Comeback Of My Alpha Mate

Author: : Whites
Genre: Adventure
"He's coming to this world again." A voice echoes, sending a shiver down my spine as I tilt my head and see an object waning in thin air spookily. Whoosh. My body muscles contract as it waves and smiles at me before completely moving out of sight. "Clarissa." A hand touches my right shoulder from behind. I turn to see Alpha Thompson, causing my lips to shiver and my body to shudder. "You don't have to worry about him." Alpha Thompson reassures, smirking. "He's gone and gone forever. All he has left are empty threats." Wondering how he knows about this seems needless, and instinctively, I know the ghost that appears to me had been killed by Alpha Thompson, who happens to be my own father. "You killed... him?" I stutter, and he replies with a cunning smirk across his lips. "I'm sure you won't want to live anymore when..." I begin to say, closing my eyelids but still inspecting him. "... when he's back. To torture you."

Chapter 1 Whispers Of Retribution

"Dad, tomorrow is the day we say our goodbyes." I murmur as a melancholic whisper emanates from the leaves. A clandestine figure glides through the bushes, leaving behind an aura of puzzlement. Holding Dad's jaw with care, a mixture of sweetness and sorrow colors my smile.

"You caught that, huh?" Dad interrupts, pulling my hand away from his jaw. Shifting his posture, he shoots me a stern glare when he realizes I'm not correcting myself.

"No joke, Dad. Tomorrow is the day we lay you to rest. It's happening today, and I'll miss you." I acknowledge.

"Dad, hold on." I plead, reaching out to touch his chin, but he dodges my attempt. A sharp pang hits my throat, and as I nearly slump, an unseen strength keeps me balanced. My familiar ghostly visitor, claiming to love me, is present here.

"He's meeting his end today." The voice echoes mysteriously. "Ensure it's his secret fate, shared only with him. If anyone else hears this, they too will be destined to be a part of this."

My heart races as I approach Dad, desperate to apologize and prevent him from revealing my plan for him to any other person.

"Dad, it was just a joke." I plead, pouting my lips. "Please, forgive me."

"You weren't joking. Smith needs to know about this. Are you mentally deranged?" Dad retorts, his concern superseded by a stern tone.

"Dad, I'm just 17, an underage werewolf," I explain. "Not deranged, just underage."

"What relevance does that have?" He fumes, sliding back as I subtly take a few steps forward to be closer to him.

"An expert keeper indeed." I chuckle softly as the door creaks open. Smith, the Beta, stands there, ignorant of the looming plan and secret that the ghost intends on keeping from him to spare him from becoming a victim as well.

I jiggle the doorknob and suddenly let out a piercing shriek, causing the firm hand on the door to drop. Smith escapes. Even Dad, startled, is now on the bare floor, crawling cautiously.

"You're aware I can end you right now?" I warn Dad, blood oozing from my eyes. It's not the usual red; it's a distinct green color.

"The Green Witch family." Dad remarks, evoking memories of Linda, who encouraged me to join a witch's meeting for protection and learn the ways of the craft.

"Not a witch." I clarify. "It's quite a sight to witness an Alpha on the ground due to his daughter's authoritative statements."

"That's not the issue, girl." He retorts, rubbing his eyes. "I sensed you're not part of this pack, nor are you in this pack."

"If I'm not in this pack, then who's doing the talking?" I bark, though deep down, I acknowledge his accuracy.

"You're two fold. A werepire. Your vampire spirit resides in the ghost world while you're here in your wolf form in the human world." Smith explains, reading from a sheet of paper. "Having known this, finding a mate in this world will be challenging. Die."

"No." Dad quickly intervenes. "That can't happen. We'll find a solution. Her late mother was a vampire and a witch, but look at me, I'm just a werewolf. We still got mated. In a way, I believe what you're saying, Smith."

I sigh. "Where did you get the information from, though?" Alpha Thompson, my Dad, inquires of his Beta.

"From the moon goddess, Alpha." He replies. "You can only contact the moon goddess if you have never killed a Blue Wolf."

"Who are blue wolves?" I coldly ask.

"Alphas of packs become blue wolves if they have up to one hundred warriors in their pack house. Those with fewer are called Green Wolves." Smith explains.

"Or Green Witches?" My brain clicks. "Did you mean 'Green Witches?' Huh?"

"No. Do you know anything about Witches?" Smith asks, questioning.

"No." I retort. "Can you leave, please? I have something to tell my Dad."

"No, don't leave, Smith. She wants to..." Dad demonstrates, drawing his hand towards his neck and then sideways. Smith gasps, catching on, and it later turns into a smirk.

"That can't be possible." Smith smiles.

"Since you don't understand how it goes." Dad replies. "Pass her by and help me up. I need to get into the pack house now."

"Why are you an Alpha?" Smith questions. "When you get scared by little stuff like this?"

"Why are you a great Beta when you can't help an Alpha when he needs it the most?" Dad retorts, his tone sharp.

"Clarissa, please don't hurt him. Can he come towards me?" Beta Thompson silently implores, his eyes monitoring my lips. A sour taste fills my mouth, coupled with a sudden shift in the way my eyes function. A strange gasp emerges from within me, causing Thompson to jump up and flee towards the pack house. However, with a sudden crack from tilting my head, I pull him back in front of me.

"Where are you going?" I chuckle, observing the two of them shivering on the ground. "It's confirmed that not only did Alpha Thompson kill a Blue Wolf, but you, Smith, also did. This marks the end of your pack."

Thompson rolls on the ground, swiftly standing up with force, his gaze burning with anger.

"What did you say?" He demands.

"This pack has come to an end." I repeat, gradually returning to my human form.

"A pack of more than two hundred warriors?" Dad questions, struggling to stand. "What have we done?"

"Guilty folks." My mouth twists as I curse at them from inside to out.

With a loud shriek, Thompson charges towards me in a threatening manner. Unable to shift immediately, I hit the ground, but a hand pulls me out from under Thompson, and I slide away. As he tries to reach for me again, his hand breaks inside, and he drops to the ground, only to rise by himself and then drop again.

My Ghostly Friend is in action.

"I regret having you as a daughter." Dad says, exhaling sharply. "Look at how a Beta is bleeding. See, look at your nose. You've wasted your damn energy."

I expect my ghost friend to embrace me, as he always has, but there's no sign of him. I lower myself to the ground, bowing my head. Sniffling, I hear a voice.

"Stand up. And let us go."

I stand up immediately, realizing it's Dad beckoning to me. It's late in the night, and all nearby stalls have closed. Dad is holding a weak wolf in his hands.

"Any of your omegas died?" I inquire, still in the process of standing well.

"No. Smith. Didn't you hurt Smith with your damn power?" Dad questions. "Come up, you idiot! He must not die, or else, you'll die."

"I don't care whether he dies." I shrug. "After all, I, myself, am killing you tonight."

"Follow me right behind, bastard." Dad curses, dropping Thompson to the ground. "Wanna fight with me, right?"

"And whoever wins will rule the pack. Deal?" I chuckle inwardly, ready to fight with clenched fists.

"I know you think you can win me, but I know more than you do." Dad smirks. With his hands raised, a large sword materializes. He points it at me almost immediately.

"Can you overcome this sword?" He poses a challenge, and I tilt my head backward slightly to avoid the sword entering my eyes or slicing my throat. My eyes glisten as I see a name plastered on the sword.

"Alexander." I read inside of me and gulp down saliva.

"And who do you think Alex is?" Dad chuckles. I won't get scared, maybe he has some sort of paranormal power to hear my mind. He's kind of stupid, I'll get to know his secrets soon.

"I didn't think of that." I say. Silently peering into the darkness of the night in the forest behind and in front of us, a figure approaches. It must be my Ghost Friend. My energy won't be enough to fight Dad, as my vampire being advises me to withdraw once I consume my energy.

If that's my ghost friend, then I'm good to attack. Hair standing on end, a wave of heat streaming across my heart, my wolf takes control of my body. I snap Dad's neck, and we both zoom to the nearest tree. I grip his chin as if it's my prey, knocking my head against his. His wolf starts to take control gradually, staring wickedly at me as if he wants to devour me. I withdraw and drop to the ground as he transforms into his wolf, his clothes vanishing into thin air. He takes the sword with him and attempts to strike me with it, but I cunningly slide out of the way. The sword hits the ground unevenly and becomes blunt. He sighs even in his wolf form but throws the sword at me, clapping his claws together with his back bending and his large jaw dropping and rising in preparation for the fight.

Taking the tip of the sword into my mouth, it starts to choke me. Little do I know that Dad sent it to me, intending to render me powerless so he can kill me, and no one will know he's been murdering anyone all this while. Even if my ghost friend doesn't kill Dad for murdering him, I will, myself, as Dad has never denied the fact that he murdered an innocent Blue Wolf.

Chapter 2 Run Or Perish

The pack's new name, inspired by the fearless aura of my Ghost Friend, is now "Captured And Caged."

"Hey Thompson!" A sudden interruption halts his howling. His wolf reacts instantly, tension evident as veins strain beneath his skin. Growling, he makes squelching movements, eyes shifting between me and the one signaling. After three intense glances, he becomes silent, gradually descending to the ground, shifting back into his human form with a slow, deliberate motion.

"Hello Clarissa." A guy greets, waving as he approaches, feet seemingly moving through the air. "Hello." I whisper, watching him move like a spirit. Meanwhile, Dad transforms back into the normal Alpha Thompson, though he stays on the cold ground.

"It's Alex." He pouts, smiling, and beckons with his palms for me to come over. Without hesitation, I approach him. Suddenly, I recall the name "Alexander" encrypted on the sword Dad threw at me. Glancing back at the sword, I see it levitating and heading toward Alex.

"Alex?" My eyes widen in disbelief as his name matches the one on the sword.

"Yes. Your friend. The one who visits you every day you feel bored." He says, inviting me for a hug.

"Wow! So you're Alex? But you never told me your name." I say, maintaining a cautious distance in case of deception.

"Back off." Dad commands, pulling my hair from behind as I land near a tree, causing pain in my ears. Touching them, I feel cold liquid – blood.

"How are you able to come in human form again?" Dad questions Alex, who remains silent, his gaze fixed on me. To handle the situation, I signal to Alex with a wink, and he nods. Subtly, I aim to throw a stone at Dad from behind, but reconsider. Shifting seems like a better plan. Alex makes a cross sound, signaling approval. I face forward, squat, and as Dad looks back, unsure of Alex's gestures, I initiate the shift.

"I will kill you again if you come near me." Dad threatens.

"But, now, I'm not in my form, and I promise you, I will kill you and your entire generation." Alex retorts, his anger evident.

"Oh." Dad mocks him. "You can't wipe us out. That doesn't seem feasible at all. Because if you must do, then you must kill my daughter too."

I gasp in shock at Dad's statement but regain composure to maintain my stance.

"She is my mate." Alex confesses. "I'm coming to this world again to be with her."

"I don't want that." Dad replies. "If she must be your mate, that's none of my business; she's a waste after all. But for you to return to this world doesn't thrill me."

"It doesn't have to." I interject, eliciting smiles from Alex and a frown from Dad.

"What... what the hell did you just say?" Dad fumes.

"You can ask that again." I reply, stretching my arms and yawning. "Now I know, and now I'm lucky that a very big defender is my mate."

"You can't get mated to him." Dad protests. "Don't ever dream about it."

"Because you're the moon goddess?" I ask him sarcastically.

"After the moon goddess, I'm the next to sign the contract." He replies, smirking.

"We are still on that fact. We are killing you tonight." I declare. "Right, Alex?"

"Oh!" Dad reacts, pretending as though hot liquid has seared his throat. "That was what you have been saying? My goodness! My daughter wants to make league with a ghost to ruin me."

"Exactly. Now you know. I'm ordering you now. Go on your knees as I decapitate you." I chuckle inwardly, winking at Alex. He responds with a wink and claps his palms, urging me to hasten.

"Dad?" I ask, feigning fury. "I said, go on your knees! Your damn knees!"

Dad lifts his eyes, staring at me wickedly.

"Will you consume me then?" I roll my eyes. Alex claps his palms again, yelling since he can't mind-link me. "Run. Now. Don't stay any longer."

Initially, I consider it a joke, but then I witness him levitating, and Dad transforming into an unfamiliar being. My feet scurry as I dash to the other side of the bush with human speed, reluctant to shift to avoid hunters or let Dad catch up, perplexed by the urgency a ghost has conveyed.

"If you can hear me, please help." I mutter, gasping while running through the bush. I stop abruptly when I see various illuminations dispersing around me, both in front and behind. Blinking twice, my vision clears, revealing the monstrous figure-Dad. He splits into three bodies, leaving me in shock.

"Alexander, I need you best now." I call, scanning for any sign of him. Dad lifts his head and charges toward me with growls and squelching sounds. I shift to the other side, causing him to lunge at the air instead.

Now I understand his fearlessness-he's not just an Alpha but a monster. Only a Monster can kill a Blue Wolf and be free for a while. I resolve to end him tonight for being a cruel wolf.

"Can you murder a monster?" A voice asks, and my brain identifies it as Alex. Yet, I reconsider; we're plotting to kill Dad, not endorsing his power or letting him go free.

"Yes, I can." I reply after a few minutes, observing Dad still in pain. Echoing howls from a hungry wolf grow louder, signaling its approach. Dad, now in his half-monster, half-human form, reaches out to me for escape, but I intentionally back off and sprint away.

Having been in the pack house for years, I discover Dad has killed a forbidden wolf, keeping his monster side a secret. Behind me, an old hut shelters injured and runaway wolves, its entrance a one-way passage due to pack rules. But rules don't matter now.

I swing open the door, and before Dad can enter, I slam it shut, leaning against it. Inside, various wolves groan and writhe in pain. I shake my head, glancing at the window.

"Go peep." My wolf speaks for the first time. I confirm the locked door and step away, standing in front of the window, observing Dad preparing to face the approaching hunter.

"What time is it?" I inquire from the man in control of the hut, but he stares at me, perplexed.

"You're not injured yet you came in. Why?" He counters with a question.

"Just tell me. What is the damn time?" I exhale heavily. Since he remains silent, I tilt my head, and my bones snap. He blinks, moving back as I advance toward him at a quicker pace. Cautiously, he crawls, attempting to open the door, but I pull him back.

"Tell me. What time is it?" I demand, sitting on his stomach.

"It's 9 pm." He mumbles. "You can now get down."

"Thank you."

Thunder rumbles, diverting my attention as I head back towards the window. There, I witness two monsters fighting. Dad. And... who is that?

I slowly creak the door open, but a hand touches me from behind, making my fists clench instinctively, ready to attack.

"No, it's me." The man insists. "Don't move out now."

"Why not?" I inquire, realizing the second monster is Alexander. It's time to be saved!

"No!" The man yells. "Once you get in, you can't get out."

"You must be joking." I scoff.

"Wanna see crazy?" He clenches his fists and lands a punch on my neck. Pain shoots through, making it difficult to hold my head properly.

"You idiot. I'm also Thompson. You want to escape?" He suddenly asks, leaving me sprawled on the ground.

Chapter 3 One Must Die For Another To Live

"Alexander..." I muffle under my breath as a lone tear drops from eyes and rolls down my cheeks.

"You want to change my pack name to Captured And Caged." The man who is the third part of Dad says. "Oh. Don't be surprised. I can hear your mind clearly. You're wondering how I know."

"Thompson..." I stutter and roll bizarrely on the ground. "... please help me up." Oi stretch my hands forth to him. He chuckles and suddenly changes his countenance.

"You want to stand up so you can kill me, right?" He asks and scoffs. "Alexander is fighting with me right now and it's almost 12 am. I lied to you, it's not 9pm."

I rub my eyes and make sure my head is facing the ground directly, so that gives access for my witch being to minister to me.

"Now, you don't have any hope of getting out."

"You're under my spell since you entered into this hut."

"I'll kill you instead and that must be tonight..." He finally says. "... and right here."

Then he spreads his arms and two swords assume their positions in his palms.

"Remain as you are." He tells me. "Don't make me miss my target, I'll behead you now and cheers to your getting mated to Alex once you get to the world beyond."

I remain lying flatly on the ground and meditating on the next step to take but as soon as my wolf alerts me of the approaching sword, I jerk up immediately and drag Thompson's feet backwards making him fall to the ground.

"Now, tell me." I am now standing while he's wincing in pain with other weak wolves. "How can you proof that you'll kill me?"

Just as I said that, the door jerks open and two foxes barge in. they stand at attention when they see me and after few minutes, they dump themselves on Thompson, pouncing on him and digging their claws into his eyes. Blood flows out of his eye socket as he looks at me for the last time. He curves his lips and through that, I get a message. He's telling me I'll die. I use that opportunity to get out of the room, as I step forward, I feel a rush of wind blowing hard against me as though it's detaching an embargo from my wolf.

"Alex? Alex?" I call him in this creepily silent bush where illuminations are only from wild creatures. Once a wild animal tries to attack me and I can't use my wolf, I'll shift into his type and that's to tell you that a witch or wizard has the ability to change into any kind of wolf.

Instead of seeing Alex, I only see first Dad gathering up and turning into a human again. I stand few meters away from him as I gaze up at the sky, then at him and then at my four sides should any rogue lunges an attack at me.

Dad finally returns into his wolf being and immediately, those two foxes barge out of the room. A confirmation. Those two foxes are feeding on a part of Dad so since Dad's human now, the man must have disappeared or scared them away. Since they are coming towards me directly, I throw my head backwards as my leg twitches, curves into a V-shape and elongates appropriately. My eyes glow with green color mixed with magenta as my witch power connects with the fox world and turns me into a fox before the two foxes could attack me. Now, in my fox form, I make my eyes glow intensely so much that it should scare them away but it doesn't. the two foxes move near me and look at themselves. Then, they leave after silently grunting. My fox rests his body on the ground and watches Dad as he shivers and immediately, a signal comes from my witch power and I become a human again.

"Dad, can we return to our pack house now?" I ask him, yawning and feeling exhausted.

"Sure." He says and whimpers as he stands up. I hold his hands and we head towards the pack house, using the bush as a pathway. We keep walking as the buzzing of insects and late chirping of birds get eerier. Doors to the huts on the way open flat themselves and lights in the room blink multiple times, affecting our vision.

"Dad, I hope you're on the alert." I tell him. "Should any rogue attack us, shift into your form immediately."

"Thank you. And, I should be apologizing now." He says. Only God knows why he's a dumbass. Like, how will I suddenly start to act nice and you won't know something's fishy?

"You're welcome." I play along.

"We are few minutes to the pack house." He tells me. "I'm happy to be in my pack again after going into the bush to experience hard trials."

"I wish you good luck in your new world." I reply him and chuckle.

"New world?" He seems confused now. He doesn't know I'm still on the fact that I'll kill him before 12 am.

"Well, you said it was almost 12 then, right?" I ask.

"Yeah, yeah. I said it right from outside. How did you hear? Any problem?"

"No worries, I'm good." I reply him. He's proved himself to be a monster that can double himself. Actually, he can make himself three but only two will be active.

"Now, we are here." He says as we wash our feet in the river. I deem it right not to ask anything about Alex so he won't be let in on our ongoing plan, not at least.

"Can you mind link Smith and tell him we are back?" I ask him, shrugging my shoulders. He knows a ting about mind link. Once a wolf mind links another wolf, a witch gets free access to the mind link.

"Only if you won't interrupt." He tells me.

"I won't." I reply, almost immediately. "Are you telling him something else after all?"

Sharply, the door jerks open as Smith comes out and smiles at seeing both of us.

"You did that so quick?" I ask Dad and he nods his head.

"That's an attribute of an Alpha. Can you both come inside now?" Smith tells us but I shrug my shoulders.

"Dad, you can get in. I'll be with you shortly." I tell him as he moves into the pack house while I sit at the waterfall, waiting for Alex to approach. The door shuts tightly and I look back only to see Alex standing behind me. Not hesitating, I pull him in for a hug and he chuckles, making his rib shake with excitement.

"So, you know I've been here waiting?" I ask him after looking at his face with an urge to hug him again.

"I did not leave you. I muted Thompson's reasoning, that was why he didn't know you're up to anything any more." He tells me. "And you don't need to appreciate this. I am you mate and if you have never known, I'm an Alpha of a pack and I'm returning to this world soon."

"This is good news." I reply him. "Can we sit?"

"Sure we can. It's quarter to 11pm. If Smith and Thompson don't die tonight, then I don't have a chance to come to this world again."

"What!" I exhale. "Why this night? What do we do?"

"Don't panic. The worst is for you to die and we getting mated in out ghost forms."

"Die? Like, kill myself?"

"No. Thompson or Smith must be the one to kill you."

"Pardon?"

"And it must be your head. Your head must go for it so you'll get a new head here in the ghost world."

"Alex, this is what you wish for me?" I move a bit away form him.

"Why would I wish this for my mate?"

"Then, why are you sounding horrific and terrific?"

"Since I'm a child of horror and hold on, you won't die. We can do this." He forces a smile on his chin.

"But I can touch you. I can feel you. Why are you not a spirit?"

"Number one reason says that, you're a witch and you have a part in the ghost world. Number two reason says that, I'm reviving. My body is being formed since blood is being splattered on the ground."

"You must have been a serial killer ever." I roll my eyes at him.

"No. I was a blue wolf and I know you are aware of that. I was murdered when I and Thompson wanted to be an Alpha of this pack. He successfully murdered me through the help of a tall wolf whose name I can't remember." He replies. "Blue wolves are those divinely appointed by the moon goddess to kill wolves that trespass. That's mandatory and not the vicious kind like a serial killer as you've been thinking."

"Can you become a blue wolf again?" I ask him.

"Only if I come back through the vicious and bloody death of Thompson and Smith." He says.

"Rise to your feet." I tell him and clench my fists. "It's time to take action."
