It was exactly 8 years since Jenny left China, for the United States of America, for the pursuit of her studies, her parents Mr. Felix Ayanne and Mrs.

Britney Ayanne had promised to give her the best of education, she was studying in the best college and had good grades, eight years down the line, Jenny was already a doctor and was ready to come back to her mother country China, her parents were glad their little Jenny was now a woman no longer a kid when she made a call to her darling mother telling her she had already bought her ticket and was ready to come back home, her mum jumped for joy and ensured to throw a party for her return. It was eight years she slept out of the house so her return was not something to play with. That morning Mrs. Britney was up by 8 am which was strange, she called an agency responsible for ceremony planning and asked for their VIP package she ordered a job well done, she equally called an agency which was specialized in the delivery of flowers, she ordered for the best, her husband Mr. Felix was still in bed, he wasn't aware his baby girl was coming back, by this time Mrs. Britney was upstairs and called for the chief maid Jiang, who was responsible for the rest of the maids, Mrs. Britney ordered the house to be clean and she wanted the favorite dishes of her daughter to be prepared, after passing her information she rushed outside and told the driver to get ready and that from any moment from now they'll be going to pick Jenny. Holding her phone in her hands, she dialed her friend's number, of course, who else other than Mrs. Zheng Yang her childhood friend. Mrs. Zheng answered the call and talked about the arrival of Jenny in some hours, Mrs. Zheng promised to show up during Jenny's throw-away party. That said, Mrs. Britney contacted her assistant Jane Bao, she was to invite every body close to the Ayanne's, at this moment, Mr. Felix just got up, he seemed tired as his eyes were still fairly red and he was walking very slow, soon as Mrs. Britney felt he was the one approaching towards her she gladly greeted her husband. "Good morning sweetheart," Britney said with a smile on her face. "Good morning my love, how was your night?" Mr. Felix asked with a gentle voice. "My night was good and yours?" "It was great," said Mr. Felix, "Guess what?" Mrs. Britney asked while smiling at her husband. This time Mr. Felix was sure something was going on, immediately his wife asked the question, he raised his head to see what was going on in the terrace and he was confused, on a normal occasion, Mr. Felix did not like to be teased so he told his wife his not good at guessing and that his wife should please tell him what was happening, she then placed her hands all over her husband's waist and murmured into his ears that their daughter was on her way coming home, for an instant Mr. Felix got lost we didn't believe what his wife was just from telling him and he looked at her straight into the eyes and he said, tell me the truth, and his wife said she was telling the truth that was why there is some preparation downstairs. Immediately as the couples were discussing there was a knock on the gate, the security was already on his way to open and fight out who was knocking, this time Mr. Felix directed his attention towards the gate, it was the event planner, she came to prepare the hall before the arrival of Jenny, now, Mr. Felix was much more convinced there was gonna be a party later. Because Jenny was his only daughter he could not receive her in empty hands, so what he did was call a friend of his dealing in wristwatches and order the most expensive wristwatch. The driver was already getting ready to go wait for Miss Jenny at the airport, Mrs. Britney was still making some arrangements with the event planner as to which colors were to be used for decoration. Mrs. Zheng was informing her husband Mr. Yang the return of Jenny, and that they were invited to the party, Mr. Yang was happy about the news which just got to him, because since Jenny was returning to the county for good his son Liam was gonna get married to one of the richest families in China, indeed it was great news for him and his wife. The two couples were equally trying to find out what they were going to present to Jenny as her gift, with all the sudden confusion they called on their assistant to look for something beautiful they could present later on. By this time, with the Ayanne's things were almost getting done, fruit juice, salad, bread, food were almost ready, the hall was already decorated, a driver was sent to the supermarket to go get the best wines and champagne, the chief maid was turning around to make sure things were in the right position. Mrs. Britney called at the hospital, to inform the staff that she wasn't gonna be present as she was welcoming her daughter home. Jenny's cousin Sasha, who was equally living with the Ayanne's also made sure everything was been placed at the right angle. Mr. Felix was in his bedroom reading some business magazine and patiently waiting for the arrival of his beloved daughter, on the bed, he crossed his legs folding the magazine beneath his hands and carefully going through it, he wasn't going to work either. Sasha was equally having a small surprise for Jenny, it's been a long they saw each other except on social media, she just had a little worry because she knew after Jenny stepped into the house she wouldn't be treated the same way.

The driver was already at the airport patiently waiting for Jenny, he had been there for about 30 minutes ago, he was just standing beside the black van, crossing his legs with his hands folded around his waist.

By this time Jenny's plane just landed, and she was still waiting for her luggage so they could get home, she collected her luggage and just as she stepped out the first person who embraced her was her mother, she handed her a bouquet, she took the bouquet and quickly embraced her mum it was long they embraced themselves, the driver was patiently waiting for them to finish so they could get home, but Mrs. Britney delayed Jenny at the airport because she wanted everything to be set before they arrive, it was a surprise so everything had to be in place before their arrival, Mrs. Britney was admiring her daughter telling her how much she missed her, how she had become a grown-up woman, and how the past eight years without her was just miserable, she told Jenny, as she received her call in the morning she couldn't believe her baby was going to back home. Jenny was equally happy to be back home as she was going to be constantly around the love of her life Liam who was equally working at the Ayanne's hospital. As they were talking, Mrs. Britney's phone rang, it was the chief maid, she was informing her that everything was set, the guest was already around and they were already waiting for them. Immediately, Mrs. Britney and Jenny left for the house, Jenny wasn't aware there was going to be a party but she was expecting one because she already knew the type of parents she had. It was already 8 pm in the evening when they left for the house, on their arrival the whole house was dark, no light was perceived at the Ayanne's house and Jenny wondered why the lights were off but couldn't imagine something was happening, she obediently followed her mum to the parlor. Everything sounded as usual and once they entered the house the lights were on, what a shock for Jenny who taught that was all about her arrival after staying out of the house for close to eight years, the surprise kept a bright smile on her face, she was glad to see her old friends, family and family friends, she was equally glad to see her cousin Sasha. She toyed around to see those who were present at her surprised party organized by her parents, she met her boyfriend's younger brother, she met her parents-in-law to be, they warmly welcomed her she stayed with them for about 20 minutes and continued walking around, everybody knew in the hall that she was walking around to greet the guest, but that wasn't true, Jenny was searching for some particular person and that was Liam, she searched for him everywhere including the terrace, but Liam was nowhere to be found, and started asking her self what might have blocked Liam making him absent at her party. She rushed to her mum, looking at her it showed she was about to pour some tears, her mum who already knew what was going on just pretended Liam had a lot to do at the hospital, and couldn't be present at the party. When Britney said that to her daughter, Jenny's nerves calmed down, and she told her mother first thing tomorrow she was gonna be at the hospital to ask Liam if the patients were more important than her, Mrs. Britney agreed to Jenny's suggestion and proposed they should leave for the hospital together, Jenny accepted and went back inside to meet her friends and the rest of the guests, just as she entered her father was behind her, she didn't have to turn to know it was her father, already from the perfume, she knew it was her lovely dad, she turned and embraced her dad warmly, she was happy to meet again with him after 8 years of complete separation. Mr. Felix handed over his gift to Jenny, she opened it right in front of her dad and discovered it was an expensive wristwatch, immediately she removed the one she was putting on and wore her dad's own. The wristwatch was beautiful, it was glowing on her hands, she looked at her hands for about 10 minutes, and embraced her dad again, she was beautifully rocking her gift. Her cousin Sasha came from behind and saw the watch Jenny was putting on, even she was not comfortable with it she had no choice other than to compliment the watch positively, Jenny thanked her cousin, as the two cousins were discussing, one of the waitresses came forth and told Jenny that Mrs. Zheng was calling for her, she rushed to go meet her, Mrs. Zheng offered her some hot drink and proposed she sit with her so they could have some few words, Jenny accepted her invitation and sat close to her, Mrs. Zheng asked how was the United States and how she was coping there been far away from her family and her close friends, Jenny answered all questions, as she replied she was doing good, Mrs. Zheng equally apologized for the absent of Liam, but Jenny told her not to border about that, and that the party was not that important. Jenny said this was because she never wanted her mother-in-law to be stressed, deep inside of her, Liam's absence was bothering her, she was disturbed but could not freely express her mind. It was already 11 pm and the guests were already leaving for their various homes, Jenny's friends embraced her and she accompanied them to the gate, she equally accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Yang to the gate until when they entered their car, she returned to her room, her bed was dressed with a beautiful pink bed sheet, pink was her favorite color, the order came from her mother as she wanted her daughter to feel good in her room after spending 8 years without sleeping there

Even though the surprise party finished late, Jenny was unable to go to bed, the night as long as she couldn't stop thinking about her boyfriend and what happened throughout her stay in America, she taught his strange behavior was because she was far away from him but could not understand why after her sudden arrival he didn't show up, she even called him before calling her mother, but unfortunately, he did not pick his call and never called back, Jenny was wondering what could have been the problem but she took open herself to arrange whatever problem they had together, she was not willing to

let him go, not after 10 years of relationship. After numerous thoughts, she went to bed, she had an engagement with her mother, there were to visit the hospital the following day and it was equally where she was gonna work as she came back for good. The Yang's waited for the arrival of Liam to ask him why he wasn't present at Jenny's surprise party, but their patience was in vein as Liam only entered the house after they had gone to bed. Etanne was the only one up, when Lian entered the house, Etanne quickly rushed downstairs, and met his brother Liam lying on one of the chairs, he sounded drunk. Etanne quickly helped bring him to his room, he never wanted his parents to know Liam went drinking instead of being present at Jenny's party. In the room, Etanne removed his dresses, took him to the bathroom and helped him take his shower and later dressed him in his pyjamas, when Liam was laid on his bed, Etanne went to the kitchen to get him some soft drink for him to get better after he did all this, he equally went to bed. The next morning was bright, the sky was glowing, it was a sunny day. Jenny was already up preparing to go take her bath, Mrs. Britney was equally up, she had already ordered for breakfast to be served at the table, she was about to get ready since she had to be present at the hospital earlier. Mr. Felix was equally up preparing for work, the chief maid was the one responsible for the breakfast, and as fast as she was, breakfast was already served. She made eggs, salads, vegetables, plantains, and bread. She already informed the family dinner was served, Jenny was the first to come down followed by her father, her mum came down when they were already eating, they made fast as they were already late for the hospital. That said, the driver was waiting for them outside, the van was set. After breakfast they took the direction of the van entered and were driving to the hospital, on arriving, the only thing Jenny had in mind was to go meet Liam. Once the van dropped them at the entrance of the hospital, Jenny was craving to go meet her boyfriend. Her dad went to his office same as her mum and she was herding towards Liam office, just as she was about to enter Liam's, a good looking young girl was just stepping out of his office, Jenny looked at the lady furiously, immediately she entered his office she asked who was the lady without even greeting the person she called boyfriend Liam knew Jenny was disrespectful, but he taught since she was growing up coupled with the fact she was staying in the United States, she might have changed but no, he was wrong, Jenny was still the harsh, arrogant, and disrespectful lady he knew while they were growing up. After Jenny uttered that, he did not answer he went back to what he was doing, which was checking the patients he was having an appointment with. As he went back to what was occupying him, Jenny shook the table and some documents fell off, that minute he raised his head and looked at Jenny right inside her eyes and asked her what was her problem, Jenny answered saying she needed his attention, Liam answered, by saying she isn't capable of greeting him but she seeks for attention, and she said she didn't greet him because when entering his office a lady was going out and she taught the lady was his side chick before she could continue Liam interrupted her saying even if she taught whatever she was still supposed to greet him and at least ask her question with some respect, Jenny presented her apologize to Liam and promised that was never going to happen again, Liam accepted the apologies and asked her to take a seat. As she sat down, Liam asked how her flight went on, she gladly responded with a smile on her face, she was happy Liam was trying to know more about arrival, she said everything went on well and for some minutes of total silence she re-initiated back the conversation. "Why weren't you at my surprise party yesterday?" Jenny asked while looking at Liam straight into his eyes, "I had surgery at that time couldn't make it," Liam said with his hands placed over his table. "Was that important more than my arrival?" Jenny asked while staring at Liam. Liam couldn't believe that Jenny was actually asking if someone's life was important than a mere party, he was wondering if she had turned herself to a beast. "Can't believe you're asking me such a question!" Liam said while shaking his head. "Why not?" Jenny asked. Liam avoided the question and changed the topic they were talking about, he asked about her studies, how she had coped for the past 8 years without her parents close to her, and she responded everything went well without them around her, Liam discussing with Jenny knew he had three other patients to attain to but because of respect for her, he decided to cancel and program them for the subsequent day, he called on his assistant to cancel all his appointments and straight away, his assistant called the patient to inform them.
