LST International company was a very well known company in America. The company would work with different companies all over the world that's why many companies who wanted to be well known in the world of business, always try to gain that company's attention. That was the reason why it looked like a festival whenever the company announce their projects. Hundreds of company representatives or CEOs came there to show their ideas.
It's a long meeting that took place in town hall for days. Many businessmen could learn new things from the meetings like that so, the crowd was huge.
Manik Mehrotra, The CEO of MM Group of companies was not very keen to attend that meeting or summit conference that people called it. He did not bother himself to go there throughout the years. He only attended it few times before and after he took over the company. But he went there that year only to get away from his ever nagging mother who was hell bent on finding a bride for him.
As much as he knew, his mother already saw dozens of girls with beauty and wealthy family but she said none of them were worthy to be her daughter-in-law. He had no idea what she was looking for and he didn't even want to know.
Coming to the summit was a good excuse to get away from his mother for few days. He had another motive to go there as well. His friend was also coming and and it's been long since they last meet.
He got ready like a typical businessman and went to attend the summit conference. The hall was overflowing with aspiring businessmen. Manik mentally made a face knowing he did not want to be here but he was there for something else. He had a doubt for a long time and he wanted to be clear about it.
His assistant already confirmed about him accepting the invitation that was sent to his company. It's been few years that the company started to sent invitations to other successful companies. They said it's because they wanted to set a VIP sitting area for the invited guests but Manik always had his suspicion.
He crossed the sea of businessmen, fortunately everyone was too busy to notice. He found his seat and silently chuckled. First few tables had name tags on them and it was said to be the VIP area where anyone could come with or without name tags. It looked heck suspicious.
Soon the tables started to fill and he saw a helper there removed the name tag beside his and exchanged it with a very familiar name. Manik smirked and waited for him to come and grace the table. He did not have to wait much. Someone pulled the chair, making a sound that grabbed attention towards him and sat gracefully.
"The things, I do for you." That person said and Manik laughed without making any sound. His friend had no plan to come in the summit but came only because of him.
"Hello to you too, man." Manik said looking at him.
"We could have met in any place. I don't understand why you wanted to come here so much." Manik saw his friend looking around with a sour mood.
"I was confused about something. I have a theory and I want to see if it's true or not, Murat." Murat was surprised but his face lit up.
"Now, you are talking. Since you have a theory then I guess it will be interesting. Most of the time your theories are right so, let's see what happens to this one." Murat never accepted it in front of Manik but he low-key enjoyed Manik's theories. It helped them to see how sharp they were for a businessman and satisfy their narcissistic souls.
The summit soon started with the introduction of the company and their various successful projects in a slide show. Manik rolled his eyes at the show off and saw Murat frowning.
"Is it just me or those projects are not that good." Murat mumbled.
"Nope. Not at all. Stay silent and see more." They saw them starting the presentation for six new malls. After two and three presentations from different companies, they decided that they had enough. Both of them left the hall and they knew that they caught attention from everyone. They might have think them rude or disrespectful but they did not care.
"Gosh, what's with those presentations? All of them were low budget and compromised the quality. What's wrong with them?" Murat scowled when they entered in a restaurant.
Manik answered after they took their seats. "Just think, one of them will get the project. Total disaster!"
"Why such a big company is taking this kind of trash ideas? Only one thing is possible that LST is barely making anything." Murat said with a thoughtful expression.
"Exactly. I had my doubt for a while after seeing sudden invitations and the way company was trying so hard to keep their image. The moment formar CEO's son took over, the company started to went down. I bet they will lose the company in a few year."
They had their lunch peacefully and went back to the hotel. They decided to hit the club as it was long since they went there. First time they met when both came to America for higher studies. Instead of staying in a dorm, they actually shared a flat outside. From then, they were best friends. They both were serious type and they understood each other even if no words were exchanged.
Loud music was buzzing all over the lavish club. People were dancing crazily or flirting with others. But the billionaire friends duo were drinking and discussing business.
Many girls wearing small clothes, crossed them and gave them suggestive look but none of them looked towards those girls. They were not saint and had their share of women but they never encouraged desperate ones.
A few college students were near them to celebrate the birthday of their friend. They were playing Truth and Dare. Two girls got the dare to seduce the billionaires.
"Are you mad? Those are Murat Yilmaz and Manik Mehrotra! They probably will chew them alive!" One of the girl said in a worried voice. She had enough reasons to be worried. Even though the billionaires were not native but they were infamous for their ruthlessness and no nonsense attitude.
"We are not a coward like you and we want them to chew us. Who can refuse a hot night with those hot hunks?" the girls replied. They had the common misconception about themselves that nobody could resist them.
"They need to give their attention to you. Everyone failed till now. Poor you, your hot night will remain in your dream only." A boy mocked and all of them laughed.
The girls scowled, "Just wait and watch."
They went close to Murat-Manik and sat very close to them on the couch.
"Hey, we saw you two were sitting here from a very long time. You must be bored. By the way I am Rhea" One said to Murat.
"I am Ellie. If you want then we can have fun together." She bite her lips giving a lustful look.
Both Murat and Manik were irritated. Their eyes took in their short dresses. The girls thought that they were checking them out. Their confidence grew for that. Rhea started to touch Murat's Bicep and Ellie slided her hands on Manik's thigh.
"I didn't know that this club started to supply prostitutes." Manik threw away her hand.
"And coming to us when we didn't even ask for one." Murat too threw Rhea's hands. They were discussing a very important matter as they were expecting another revolution in the industry. They were discussing how they would survive it along with their companies when those girls interrupted them.
"Listen, we don't need any one of you. If we find someone worthy to take with us, we will do that ourselves." Manik said in a stern voice.
"Such desperation is a huge turn off and you both are not womanly enough. Go back, we don't do it with kids." Murat gave the final blow.
The girls were heavily insulted. They glared at the men. "You both are ăssholes!" Ellie cried out in anger.
"Mark my words, both of your brides will runaway. No body wants such jerk." Rhea too threw a tantrum.
"Thanks for the curse but do you really think if our brides will run away, we will let them go?" Murat asked raising his eye brows.
Manik smirked, "Not in a million years."
The girls stomped away angrily and Murat sighed. "Why everyone is talking about wedding and bride? Grandma is making me crazy because she want me to give her a grandkid. That girl could have curse us with anything but she too dragged our bride."
"My mother will have six to seven girls for me to see but then again she would say no those girls are not enough. Like she was the one who chose them, not me!" Manik leaned on the backrest. "We are only Twenty nine. I don't understand them at all."
"Good luck to us. We badly need it. Not that her curse will work on us but anyway." We made a toast and drank the night away.
After a three days refreshing trip both of them went back to their own countries. Manik went back to India, dreading his mother. He was looking at the share market statistics on his tab at the way of his home.
He was waiting at signal when he heard some voices. He looked out of the window and saw a girl yelling at someone.
"Why don't you people use your eyes? You damaged my scooter, you idiot! Get out of your car now."
But the man said something unintelligible and speed away. It fueled more in her anger. "Loser, why are you running away now? You look down on others just because you drive a car. You arrogant prick, you are so proud of your car but you will be in huge trouble because of that." The girl was shouting on top of her lungs.
Manik shook his head. That's why he hated the roads of India. Those scenes were regular and it was a never ending circle. Manik reached his house and went inside of it. The workers were busy as usual because of his mother. He saw his mother sitting on the couch with a serious look as if she was waiting for him only.
Manik sighed knowing what she was going to say and he had no interest to hear anything about his marriage.
Nandini Arora's POV
Being a fashion designer was not easy that too if you were a junior then it's a nightmare. After days of searching, I finally found the fabric that my senior wanted. I needed to rush back to my office but what I saw after getting out of the mall made my blood boil.
That loser knocked down my scooter. It wasn't the first time something like that happened. The scratches on my baby were the proofs. I started shouting on top of my lungs, cursing that good for nothing rich boy and he, like all others losers drove away like nothing happened.
I realized it was a hard fall when I saw big chunk of colors falling apart from my baby. I was so mad that I wished, I had a gun. I got rid of my violent thoughts because I had to go back to my office. I worked in a fashion house of a designer. They were hiring few junior designers and I was accepted there along with others.
I was not satisfied because I was a fashion designer but I was doing everything except for that. I was a newbie and I needed to learn but it's been more than one year. My other colleagues joined other companies as a designer but I failed to get into anywhere. That was the reason why it became unbearable to be there but I had no choice.
After my office hour finishes, I went back to my home feeling really tired. I saw my parents whispering something and it made me roll my eyes. Like any typical Indian parents, they were trying to get me married. They would have find a groom for me exactly like they wanted but after the huge loss my father's company faced few years ago, I was sure that I was not getting married because no body wanted to be in touch with broke people.
I saw my parents pinching each other when we sat to eat dinner. They did it when they want to tell me something. The one who gave up first would tell me whatever they wanted to say. Mom hissed when dad pinched her arm hard. She glared at my father, rubbing her arms.
"Umm.. Nandini, we needed to talk to you." Mom said with a forcefully stretched smile.
"Really? Did Dad get any big project? You look too happy." I said with a big fake grin that I could manage. It was a sour topic and I was being an evil but I couldn't help it.
"I am going to get one, actually." Dad interrupted our fake smile competition.
"For real?" I was very shocked.
"Yes, our life is going to turn well now." Mom said and that time with a genuine smile.
"Our life was good before too, mom. I even don't hate our current situation. We are in a decent area with a decent apartment. I am only frustrated about my job." I said with a bitter tone. I knew our family value talks would start and my mother did not disappoint.
"We are Arora family, Nandini. The way we are leaving is a shame on Arora's name. We need to bring back our family name in it's position. That's why, we think that it's better for you to get married."
"It is the only way, Nandini. You will get married into a good family and we will get our everything back." Dad completed.
"Woah.. What? From where did my marriage come into it? And who is going to marry me? You people are talking like everything is fixed." I shook my head and tried to focus on my left over food.
"Well, it is almost fixed." Mom, smiled at me. Internally panicking about my reaction. It was really hard for me to believe and I was at a loss of words.
"Almost WHAT????"
Manik Mehrotra's POV
"You promised them, what?" I asked my mother still not believing what I heard her saying. My mother was a sharp business woman and there was no way she could do what she was saying that she had done.
"I know you heard me well. I fixed your wedding with Nandini, Rajib Arora's daughter. I even promised them to bring back their old glory."
"How can you promise them something like that? It's my wedding, mom. You saw so many girls from very wealthy family but you chose that Rajib Arora's daughter. That Arora lost everything because of a very stupid investment. You chose his daughter! What were you thinking?" I was still shook.
"I chose her because unlike others she knows the importance of money and won't encourage any unnecessary luxury things. That girl is beautiful, intelligent and probably submissive as well. Exactly like what I want my daughter in law to be." Nayona knew her son would not agree but he needed to get married soon. Business associates always gave him hard time by not taking him seriously thinking he was an unmarried bluff.
"I can't do it, mom. I am not ready to share my life." Nayona rolled her eyes. "When your father was twenty nine, we conceived you and you are not even ready to get married? You don't have any girlfriend nor anyone whom you like, so what's the problem?"
"I can't just marry someone whom I don't know and I am sure, I don't even remember her face." I tried to dodge but mom was determined.
"Meet her, tomorrow. I will let her parents know about it." She said and I knew that she was not leaving it.
Murat Yilmaz's POV
I wanted to go to my house as soon as I landed in Turkey but I heard that my grandma, the only family I have had been hospitalized since morning. I rushed towards the hospital as soon as I got the news.
My Grandma was very delicate as she aged a lot. I lost my parents in a accident and since then I was raised by my grandparents. Grandpa left us two years ago and grandma was not very strong willed after that. Her weak heart made things worse for her.
I was directed towards her cabin by her personal nurse who stayed with her 24/7. I saw my grandmother, Azize Yilmaz was sitting on the bed, leaning on the cushion.
"Grandma! What happened to you?" I was really worried for her.
"I just felt some pain in my chest and that nurse brought me here. It wasn't anything serious." She said glaring at the nurse. The nurse left when Murat signaled her to go out.
"Well, we can't say if it was serious or not. We can't take any risk with you." I took her hand in mine.
"I wanted to tell you something, Murat."
"I will listen to everything after you become fine."
"No! I can't wait that long. Your grandfather did very bad things for business. He was heartless and ruthless. His actions caused many problems in many people's life." I couldn't understand what she was trying to say.
"It's normal in business, grandma."
"Yeah but a family still bear the burn. The whole family was victim and suffered the most. I don't think your grandpa would be in peace in his afterlife because of that family. So, I want to fix it before I leave this world." Grandma smiled softly.
I held her hand more tightly. "You are not going anywhere. We have planty of times to fix their family."
"We can't fix their family. We can't bring back their dead parents. But we can include them in our family." I understood what grandma was hinting. There must be a girl in 'They' and my grandma want me to marry her.
Before she could say more, there was a knock on the door. A young doctor came through the door smiling at my grandmother.
"How are you feeling now?" Dr. Aslan was written on her coat. I saw the change on my grandma's face. Her eyes were twinkling and she stared at her in awe.
"By God's grace, you are so beautiful!" The doctor clearly didn't expect it and laughed awkwardly.
"Thank you but you need to tell me how are you feeling." My grandma sighed.
"I am feeling much better since I saw you for the first time. God bless you, dear."
I frowned when I realized my grandma's behavior. That doctor was one of them and my grandmother wanted me to marry her.
Hayat Aslan's POV
That old lady was weird but I had seen more weirder patients. She was just a little bit too sweet. I returned to my home that I share with my brother and his wife. I wanted to take a separate house but my brother, Erhan did not allowed it as I was in the hospital most of the time.
My Sister in law, Ayfer also agreed with my brother that I would not take care of myself in that way. That's why I was third wheeling between them. It was already dinner time and I was really hungry. Erhan understood that I did not have my lunch that day and his lecture for the day started.
We talked about this topic so many times that it did not make me feel for worrying him. I was his only sister so, he should worry about me.
I was watching TV with Ayfer as she was a few months older than me, we shared almost same taste though she was a little bit too much girly than me. My brother handed me a photo and sat beside his wife. I raised my brows when I saw whose photo it was.
He was with that weird old lady. I looked at her brother, totally surprised. "Why do you have his photo? He was with a weird old patient in the hospital."
"You met him? That's good!" He said happily.
"I didn't met him like that. More like, I just saw him. We did not talk at all. Leave that and tell me, what's going on?" Ayfer was looking between us with a frown.
"Tell her, directly. You know she does not like it when you drag any subject and I think she would be happy to know it since she doesn't have any time to date." Ayfer was trying really hard to make me date someone. She believed, if I date someone then I would start to take more care of my health and my looks. But I was not interested.
"That weird patient is his grandma." He stopped himself from saying more.
"Wait a second, don't tell me she was acting weird became she liked me for her grandson. Wow! She is fast. She sent proposal even before I returned from the hospital." I kept rambling that's why I did not see the frown on Ayfer's face.
"What are you saying? She sent this proposal last week. You were busy and your brother kept delaying to tell you."
"That's probably because he knew that I would reject." I smirked. It won't be my first time to reject any proposal because I got lots of them but I did not want to settle down.
"I promised her, Hayat." my brother said making me frown. "You promised what?"
"Hayat, she wants to fix everything. I, I couldn't say no. Murat is a very good guy and very passionate about work. He will understand your absurd work schedule." My brother sounded like he was trying to sell a product.
"Wait, wait! Let me catch up first. She wants to fix what?" I don't think I saw her ever for her to do something. Ayfer too was looking at everywhere confusingly.
"She is Azize Yilmaz, wife of Rehmet Yilmaz." That was enough for me to understand the whole matter.
"Ah, she is his wife. She must be trying to repent whatever her husband did to us. She wants to add me in that tainted family. Not happening." I said coldly.
"I promised her."
"I don't care and understand why you did that. It would be easy to ignore then why you even talked with her?" I shouted at the end.
"She wants to heal both of our families. Her grandson is her only family. She wants to remove the bad blood before she dies. We moved on from that accident but it left a hole within our life. I want us to move on and it's the only possible way." he tried to argue.
" I am not getting married with her grandson. What if he is as bad as his grandfather?"
" I already promised her. You will meet him and you will have a little time to know each other. I know you hate that family but they are really good." Erhan got up to walked away.
"I can't believe that you are doing this! I am telling you, I am not going to marry him. To hell with your promise!" I too left for my room. Ayfer was sitting there, confused as hell. Erhan did not disclose the truth to her. She only knew that we lost our parents in a accident.
I needed to meet that Yilmaz and stop that stupidity once and for all.

Nandini Arora's POV
I was working on fittings of a dress when my mother called me. "Nandini, where are you?"
I rolled my eyes. My mother always asked the ridiculous questions. "At work, where else?"
"What? You are still there! Didn't I told you that Manik will meet you in a restaurant for lunch." my mother sounded frantic.
"Mom, you did not say something like that. Because I would have told you that I am busy today. I can not meet anyone."
"What do you mean? You-"
"Good bye, mom." I cut the call. She really didn't tell me about any meeting. She probably forgot because she was too excited and thought that she actually did. I saw her calling me again but I didn't bother again. I had no time for her persuasive tactics.
I finished that dress and then I had to go to bring more material that my boss wanted for her new project. I was supposed to bring them yesterday but I didn't so, I had to bring them that day.
I couldn't take my scooter because those materials could not be set in a scooter. So, I decided to take a bus. I came out the building and head towards the bus station. But a black expensive car blocked my way from going there. A very angry man got out from the driving seat and I had an idea who it could be.
"How dare you stood me up?" He asked coming in front of me. He was really tall so he was easily intimidating me. I was not very sure about what to say but I managed to.
"Excuse me?"
"No, you are not excused. I canceled my important meeting because my mother told me to meet you. I am so busy still I waited for you but you were not there. Do you think I am dying to meet you and would accept any tantrum from you."
I feel a sudden anger filling me up and I snapped. "You must be very busy but I did not know that we were supposed to meet today. Unlike you, I am not the boss who can cancel his scheduled meetings. And I can't even want to think about marrying you let alone marry you! So, you better watch your voice Mr."
I tried to walk away but he pushed me on his car door and he caged me between him and his car. "No one ever dared to talk like that to me and you are just walking away after saying that?"
I was feeling a little scared after looking at his intense eyes from this close. I really wanted to get away from him. "I should have run not walk, right?" I mumbled but he heard it.
He smirked, looking down at me. "Even if you run, I will always catch you. Get in the car, we need to talk."
"I am working. You see, I need to collect some materials from somewhere." I had no intention to get in the same car as him.
"Good. I will drop you there till then we can talk in the car." he literally pushed me inside of the car and went to his side.
I was getting really angry. That man was so irritating and there was no way I would marry this man. "I don't know why we even need to talk." I said when he started the car. "Clearly we don't want to marry each other. Let's just tell our parents that we don't like each other. I don't know why they even agreed to it without asking us."
"That's not going to work. I already told my mother that I don't want to marry but she won't listen. Moreover, she really likes you. So neither of us can back away."
"Excuse me! Why can't we back out? We are not even engaged yet and how the heck your mother liked me when I never meet her?" I asked thinking how weird everyone was behaving. They were rushing everything when we did not even decide that we wanted to marry each other. It was arrange marriage but the boy and the girl needed to at least like each other.
"If I tell my mother that I don't like you then she is going to start bride hunting again. I don't know what kind of girl she will choose so, I don't want to take any risk." he said after I give him the address.
"Are you trying to say that you like me?" I frowned. If he liked me when my wild hair was tucked in a messy bun with my dry face and wearing black loose pant with a white tee, his top floor was definitely not okay.
"I will be honest, you are not that pretty." I rolled my eyes hearing that. "But you are not dysfunctional and you are logical. That's enough for me to be okay with you."
"But I am not okay with you. In fact you are not even my type. I am not talking about true love and other sh!ts but I don't want to spend my whole life with you." I knew, he could get upset because of that because honestly he was a rich, handsome and goid looking guy. But he was just not for me.
"I think your head is not working well. Girls literally die to be with me. But anyway it doesn't matter just like your opinion doesn't matter." I so wanted to slap that arrogant as*hole but I had to control it.
"Well, I am not marrying you and I don't care about the fact that your mother liked me and my parents wanting it. I can be hell selfish and I always got away from the things I don't like. Stop the car. We have reached." He thankfully did not say anything and I got out from the car. I just shut the car door and walked away.
I didn't have time for my petty manner and his nonsense.
