"Stella's point of view,"
"Who the hell is he?
How could he overtake Stella Parker's car?" My rage reached the seventh sky as soon as a boy passed my car.
What do today's lads think of themselves?
If he hadn't looked back through his car's mirror and given me a mischievous grin instead of forgiving himself, I would have been willing to overlook his error. However, after seeing what he did, I will be less inclined to do so.
I shifted into high gear in my black Porsche, and now I'm here.
A top racer from a Californian city.
As I moved my car out of the midst of traffic, I overtook the boy's car.
"Exactly what are you doing?" Holding the car's steering wheel, the young man was shouting violently.
"Fuck off.
Do not repeat the fatal error of passing my car." A grin spread across my face as I took my hand away from the car mirror and raised my middle finger.
On the streets of California, my car was already moving at peak speed. For this reason, I could arrive at Parker Industries far ahead of my regular hour and go to work early.
"Where is Stella Parker?
I must see how she could end the business with my company, so I must meet her straight away.
Is she unaware of me?
I can bury her under the earth as often as I want." As soon as I walked inside my office building, the words rang in my ears.
"Please calm down; It forced us to cancel the agreement since it did not prepare your company to work under our terms." My PA, Avery, was doing her best to ease that man's irrational rage.
"Stella Parker dares to dictate terms to me, and I can't help but wonder whether she has any idea that everything gets done in this world under the preferences of men. Her ambition to be the most powerful woman in business will never come true."
"I am not dreaming, Mr., whatever your name is.
If you couldn't accept my terms for running the business, I canceled the contract with yours." Taking off my shades, I looked directly at the man in front of me and remarked in a loud, assured voice.
"Stella Parker: You don't know me, but I have connections with the mafia, and I can make you vanish from the business world whenever I want to. So listen to me quietly and negotiate a deal with my company."
"Oh, really?
Your threat has terrified me immensely." I smiled back at him in response.
"Do you believe I'm kidding?"
It's possible that the sight of my smile following his threats has severely wounded his fragile ego and made him even more enraged than before.
I do not know whose number he contacted, but he pulled out his phone from his pants pocket and began describing my business.
Enough is enough. I have reached my limit of tolerance for male temper tantrums.
"Avery, right now." I pointed at my P.A.
"Miss Parker; you leave this matter to me. Our team will handle this guy." Avery gave me a questioning look before saying,
"As I just mentioned, how many times will I have to explain this to you?
I hate repeating myself." As I spoke to Avery, I gave her a death gaze.
She instantly presented my desired information on my iPad and gave me a disapproving glance.
The whole Parker Industries staff present in the office was quaking with dread when they saw me so enraged, but only Avery could have the guts to give me a disapproving look despite seeing me so enraged.
That is why people are unlikely to recruit their best friend as a personal assistant.
"Stella Parker: You just have to wait and see.
You'll soon be able to see what happens when you play fast with me." When he saw me getting angry, he threatened me while still keeping his phone in his pocket.
"Mr. Threatening me is not the best course of action; rather, focus on your company's financial situation." I responded while keeping a close eye on the iPad screen.
"What are you saying?" He took his smartphone out of his pocket as soon as he finished staring at me with confused eyes.
"Can I now complete my official work if your question and threat session are over?" I disregarded the man's query and moved toward my private elevator. He listened to me, but before he could respond, his mobile phone rang.
"What?
How is that even possible?"
"No, Stella Parker, you purchased all of my company's stock.
How dare you? You can't do it." The man's face's blown hue made me very glad to see him.
"Mr. The business world is an infinitely flexible place. And lastly, never degrade a woman by contrasting her talent with that of a man. And one more thing: Never, ever threaten me again."
After saying this, I took Avery with me into my private elevator.
"Stella, you screwed things up with Mr. Hang."
"Mr. Hang?
Who is he?"
I listened to Avery and stared at her with a bewildered expression.
"John Hang is the name of the man you've just met, Miss Parker, whose company owns all the shares you purchased." Avery's eyes widened as she looked at me in shock.
"What?
Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked with a leaning-back posture.
"Stella, are you asking that?
You gained the man's business despite not even knowing his name. How can you make such a significant investment in your business without giving it any thought when you are so ignorant of its future growth and profit loss?" Avery's voice was distinctly angry.
"Why do you suppose I made this investment without giving it any thought?
Why, my dearest bestie, do you continually forget that I am an architect and a vital member of the financial adviser team of a large international investment team?" I snatched her iPad out of her hands and showed her all of Mr. Hang's company's financial graphs.
"Stella, you're great." Upon seeing me, Avery smiled with pride.
"Okay, I get it; now tell me something I don't already know." I responded, grinning as I observed her.
"Well, I've got some bad news for you." Avery's voice suddenly grew lower, and a look of melancholy suddenly appeared on her face.
"Ethan's point of view,"
"Miss, why should I hire you?" Without looking at her resume, I questioned the girl who was seated in front of me.
Since seven in the morning, I have been sitting in my office and searching for a knowledgeable financial advisor for my company's finance division.
Because of my stupid and careless P.A., although I had made it plain to Steve that only men should apply for this post, I've been wasting my valuable time by interviewing a tonne of pointless and annoying girls since the morning.
"I can help you out a lot in terms of efficiency. I possess a variety of talents that would set me apart. I'd rather show my skills than describe them. Please allow me the chance to let the quality of my work speak for itself."
Oh crap, here comes another cocky female candidate.
"Wao. Miss Green, you're saying that your actions speak louder than your words."
I didn't want to waste my time reading her resume, but after hearing her arrogant response, I couldn't resist interrogating her further.
"Indeed, Mr. Woods," she replied, swaying in her chair toward my table.
I knew exactly what kind of job Miss Green was asked to perform in my office by the look of lust in her eyes and the sultry smile on her face.
"Get out."
"What?"
That girl's face abruptly took on a perplexed expression.
"I told you to leave my office immediately, Miss Green, and I have no habit of repeating myself."
Because I've been conversing with so many women, I've already grown frustrated. The woman sitting in front of me is currently getting on my nerves by having me keep repeating my words.
"Mr. Woods, insulting me in this way won't get me out of your office. I can accuse you of molesting me right now if I want to."
Girls' threats, oh my god.
I listened to her and gave her a disapproving look.
She smiled triumphantly as she noticed how I had instantly become calm.
She got up from the chair that was in front of me, and she was ready to sit back down on my bottled-up rage.
"Miss Green, do you have any hearing issues?
Get out of here; I ordered you to." I yelled violently as I slammed my hand down on the desk.
"How dare you speak to me in this manner, Mr. Woods?"
"Steve came right away to my cabin." I dialed his extension to handle her tantrums.
I find girls' temper tantrums very annoying.
"Mr. Woods, what occurred?" He entered in my office fixing his glasses, like he don't have any idea about what's going on here.
"My cabin needs to be immediately cleared of this jerk."
"Mr. Woods, you will pay a severe price for disrespecting me."
"Just keep quiet.
You can't harm me even if you want to, because I'm Ethan Woods, and I don't back down from challenges.
I can squish you between my fingers."
With my eyes, I fire the dragger at Steve.
He is fully aware of what I want to say to him right now.
"Mr. Woods, Your Pineapple Juice." Steve has secretly brought a sipper of pineapple juice with him, knowing well that it is the only thing that will cool the blaze of my wrath.
"I gave you clear instructions, so I don't understand why you called a female candidate for an interview for such an important job in the organization."
My frustration levels were already high, and my tie was feeling like a noose around my throat.
"Mr. Woods In the world of finance today, women are faring much better."
"Oh, seriously?" Steve gulped his last words along with his saliva after noticing my ferocious look.
"No woman in the world can perform in finance better than a man.
Women have little business experience."
I took the sipper in my hands and moved toward my gaming area.
"Mr. Woods, your next meeting will begin in a half-hour." Somehow, Steve got the word out.
"Steve, you've already caused me a lot of frustration since the morning; now give me some space to calm down."
"But everyone in the room is waiting for you, Mr. Woods."
"Steve, I promise you that today is your last day working in wood's construction if you irritate me any further or provide any negative news."I warned him.
"Sorry, Mr. Woods," Steve said in a terrified tone after adjusting his glasses.
"Now get out of my way." I get my coat off the couch and straighten my tie.
"John, please display the project report for me." As I stared at the screen, I asked in an authoritative tone.
"Mr. Woods, our team has purchased practically everywhere in the area we'd chosen for the new project, but they haven't been able to track down the owner of the land that will be crucial to its success."
"I want this land by all means. Therefore, you guys came here to show the progress report on what?"
On the projector in front of me,the map of the new project for our company was open.
The entire projector's screen was covered in Wood's construction logo, but the red-painted ground in the center kept drawing my eyes.
Who is the land's owner, whose whereabouts have remained so much a mystery that my team and I could not track him down?
"Mr. Woods, we'll soon learn who owns this property." John gave me a comforting glance.
"If there is even a tiny delay in commencing this project because of any negligence or foolishness or if any kind of difficulty arises, you know the outcome after that, don't you, John?
You know well that I dislike living on false expectations."
I spoke sternly to John, threatening him.
"Absolutely, Mr. Woods." John sucked on his lips and shook his head.
"Now that you've done that, it would be preferable to swiftly show the fruits of your labor than to squander my valuable time in this pointless conversation." I left the meeting room, unbuttoned my coat, and returned to my office.
"Stella's point of view,"
"What happened?" I looked for the source of the stress that was concealed beneath the troubled expression on her face.
"Stella, Woods construction based on New York City, has been given the contract for the project our company has been working on for years.
Not only this, the client has also canceled two ongoing projects with our company and both projects are currently being handled by Woods Construction."
"What?
How can things be this way? Only our business was qualified to receive the project; no other business in California could have met the contract's requirements in full."
Why someone coming to California from New York City, which is so far away, would be so interested in signing this contract baffles me.
"Avery, I need every detail about wood construction as soon as workable." Avery nodded in agreement after hearing me and then left me in my office.
The news that Avery told me a while ago has caused a lot of turmoil in my thoughts. I abruptly took the project on which I had been working day and night from me. I could not focus on my other tasks, now i really need a break so I turned on my gaming computer and began playing NFS Most Wanted, one of my favorite racing games.
But right now, it seems like my luck is constantly up against me. I do not know who the flaming shark is also attempting to defeat me in the racing game. But because I am also the cold devil of the racing world, I won't go down without a fight. I eventually prevailed in the racing game after much effort and concentration. The fiery shark, though, gave me a tough fight. Before I could praise the flaming shark for its fierce competition, Avery entered my office.
"Hey Avery, any updates on the CEO of Woods Construction?" I tried interpreting her facial expressions to figure out what was going through her head.
"No, despite my best efforts, the sour CEO divulges nothing about himself.
He even refused to meet you, despite my request to speak with his PA to arrange a formal meeting." Her voice was agitated.
Since he should have professionalism in him, how is it possible for him to act in such a manner? I must meet him because I want to understand why he wants to harm my business.
"Avery, please provide me his PA's number so I may call him and try to set up the meeting."
"Are you sure?" She obviously could not trust me based on the perplexed expression on her face.
"Yes, I want to meet Mr. Woods, and I'll go to any lengths to make it happen." I motioned for her to make a phone call to Mr. Woods' P.A.
"I'd like to speak with Ethan Woods." As soon as he answered the call, I made my point quite plain.
"May I ask who you are?"
"Stella Parker from parker industries," I was attempting to keep my temper under control and speak normally.
"I'm sorry, Miss Parker, but Mr. Woods is currently unavailable."
" But its really urgent, I want talk yo him,"
The other side went silent without provide any response after listening me.
After all, why didn't he end the call? I put my cell phone up to my ear out of pure curiosity to find out what was happening on the other side.
"Let me know how I may assist you, Miss Parker." A powerful voice suddenly penetrated my ears.
"Mr. woods?" I asked in a perplexed tone.
"Yes, Miss Parker, seems you recognized my voice very well." When I heard his arrogant voice, I simultaneously wanted to end the call, but my business came before my ego.
"I'd like to meet you." I ignored his comment and make my point clear to him.
"I apologize, Miss Parker, but I cannot meet you since I will be quite busy for the next three months." His words made it obvious that he was purposefully agitating me.
But why?
"But I'm determined to meet you." I declared it with authority.
"Well, if thats the case then, you can meet me tonight at the charity ball event if you are desperate to do so."
Bastard.
I haven't even met this man yet, and I already despise him.
"Sorry, but I cant meet you there,I often avoid social gatherings like that. I'd like to meet you in person, so please find another way."
"I'm sorry, Miss Parker, but I'm unable to assist you with this." His arrogant voice clearly indicated that he enjoying this moment.
He is such a jerk.
"Okay, I'm ready to see you at the charity ball tonight." I clenched my fist furiously and ended the conversation.
"Are you certain?
You're going to the charity ball event this evening to meet Mr. Woods, right?" Avery's eyes were wide as she stared at me in shock.
"Yes, I have no other choice but this."I inhaled deeply and attempted to control the growing tempest of rage inside of me.
"We admit that the man who persuaded Stella Parker to attend the social gathering on a phone is no ordinary man; he possesses some extraordinary power." I was growing angrier as I noticed the sly smile on her face.
"Stop the nonsense and give me all the details about Ethan Woods and Woods Construction." I said, while furiously arching my brows.
"As you wish, Miss Parker." Her toothy grin was screaming for me to rip out her teeth. She truly frustrates me. I always tell people not to hire their best friend to be their assistant for this reason.
"Stella, I emailed you all the information got from internet about Woods' construction." This is what Avery said as she left my office.
As soon as I clicked on the CEO of Woods Construction's contact information. There was no further information provided, save his name and accomplishments.
"Ethan Woods, New York City's top businessman.
Ethan Woods, Now that you've concealed your identity, my desire to meet you has grown even stronger. "
I muttered under my breath and put the iPad to sleep.
