Maya's pov
I walked through the crowded club, my feet aching from a long night of serving drinks. The thumping music and sweaty bodies made me feel like I was drowning.
As I handed a Martini to a waiting customer, my gaze drifted to the clock. Only thirty minutes until my shift ended.
"Hey pretty," a guy said as he stepped in front of me. My nose twisted in disgust at the terrible odour of alcohol reeking from his body.
I pushed him out of my way. Just then, Zoe, my roommate and best friend, burst into the club, her bright smile a beacon amidst the chaos. "Hey, girl!" she exclaimed, joining me behind the bar.
"Welcome to another crazy night," I teased, relieved she was taking over.
Zoe nodded sympathetically. "Go change and get out of here. I made dinner; just relax."
I hugged her, grateful for her thoughtfulness. "Thanks, babe. Love you."
After changing into comfortable sweatpants and a hoodie, I pulled up my hood and slipped on my headphones, ready to face the cool night air.
As I walked home, the silence was a welcome relief from the club's noise . Our apartment was just a ten-minute walk away. Lost in thought, I didn't notice the stumbling figure until he nearly collided with a car.
My instincts kicked in, and I rushed to steady him. He turned, locking gazes with me. The unmistakable features of David, the wealthy billionaire who frequented our club for business meetings, left me breathless.
"Who are you?" he slurred, his eyes narrowing. "Trying to steal from me?"
"I'm not stealing from you," I replied firmly. "You're in no shape to be out here alone. Let me help."
David's gaze lingered, then he handed me his car keys. "Take me home." I hesitated but I had no choice because leaving him alone was dangerous in the area.
"Your address," I asked after struggling to get him inside the car. He closed his eyes, ignoring me but when I tapped him, he jolted awake.
"What is it?" David demanded, irritation evident in his voice. "I need your address," I said with a sigh.
He punched somethings in the GPS and I got the direction to his house. As I drove, I stared at his handsome face which was closed, and couldn't help but wonder why he drank this much.
The GPS led me to a stunning mansion. As we pulled into the compound, a staff member helped David out of the car.
"Thank you," David said to his staff, his eyes crinkling at the corners before he turned to me.
"Young lady, thank you so much for helping me. I don't know what would have happened if you didn't bring me here," He said, his voice laced with appreciation.
I nodded, sad he didn't recognize who I was. "I'm glad you are home safe. I have to go home now."
He shook his head, disagreeing. "You can't go home alone this late. It's not safe."
My heart skipped a beat at his concern. "What do we do now?" I asked, biting my lower lip in worry. It was indeed late and dangerous out there alone.
"You'll spend the night here, and I'll drive you back tomorrow," He replied. I blinked my eyes in disbelief. Was he really asking me to spend a night in his home?
The lover girl in me squealed with excitement, but I still hesitated. David's gentle smile put me at ease. We walked in, and the mansion's interior decoration left me awestruck.
"Do you need anything? Like water or food?" David asked, and I shook my head.
He stared at me for sometime, his eyes roaming around my body. Blush coated my cheeks at his actions. "Let's go upstairs then," he said, his voice low.
As we ascended the stairs to his room, David's shirt came off, revealing chiseled muscles that made my pulse quicken. His eyes sparkled with amusement.
"Shy?" he teased, his voice low and husky.
I shook my head, my voice caught in my throat. David's gaze lingered on mine, searching for something.
"You're beautiful," he whispered, his breath caressing my skin. In that moment, I was lost. My heart raced with excitement, and my soul felt seen.
"So beautiful, dear," he whispered again. The closeness of his body against mine almost made me moan. The fact that I was attracted to him didn't help matters.
David's lips brushed against mine, sending shivers down my spine. The kiss was gentle, yet electrifying. I felt the world tilt, and my senses come alive.
As we broke apart, David's eyes sparked with desire. "You're not like anyone I've met," he said.
"Why did you say that?" I asked. "I felt something through the kiss. I want you," he replied, his voice came almost like a plead.
I smiled, feeling a connection I couldn't explain. My heart swelled with emotion. Without another word, David swept me into his arms, and I knew I was his for the night. His touch ignited a fire within me.
"I'm yours," I whispered, surrendering to the passion. As our lips met again, the room melted away. Time stood still and nothing else mattered.
I was living my dream, I had always wanted him. David was someone I had always admired anytime he came for meetings but he never noticed me.
"Your body is a work of art," he said as he removed my hoodie. I moaned when he attached his lips on my nipple. The feeling was heavenly.
He kissed my down to my stomach and I shivered, desire consuming me. I watched him as he took off his pants, his shaft slapping against his stomach.
My eyes widened at the sight, and when he sensed my discomfort, his eyes softened. "I will be gentle," he whispered. I gulped, my eyes closed as he slipped it in me.
He waited until I adjusted to his size. I moaned when he began to move. And as the night consumed us, I gave him my all.
My heart. My soul. My everything.

"Hey!" David's voice pulled me out of sleep. I looked up to see him, standing in front of the bed, his eyes blazing in anger.
"What the fuck did you do to me?" He asked. I frowned, covering my naked self with the sheets. "I didn't do anything," I replied.
"You did something! Because, tell me why I woke up naked next to you," he demanded.
I swallowed, memories of our passionate night flooding back. "We had sex," I uttered.
David's expression darkened, his jaw clenched. He paced around the room, then stormed back to the bed, grasping my arm.
"Get the fuck out of my house, you slut!" He yelled.
My heart shattered into a million pieces at the venom of his words. "I'm not a slut," I said, my voice shaky.
"Yes, you are. You seduced me to sleep with you. I don't even know who the hell you are," he spat. Tears prickled the corners of my eyes.
"Get out! I don't want to ever see you again!' he yelled, pushing me out of his room naked. I broke into a sob, feeling ashamed of myself.
He threw my clothes at me and slammed the door. I quickly dressed, rushing out of his house. I felt like a fool, I thought he was attracted to me.
Upon getting home, I met with Zoe in the kitchen. "Maya, where have you been? Goodness gracious, why are you crying?" She asked, her voice laced with concern.
I sat on the couch, tears streaming down my face, my body shaking. "Babe, tell me what's wrong. Did something happen on your way home last night?" She asked.
"Do you remember David from the club? The young handsome billionaire who comes for business meetings," I asked.
"Yes, I do. He is your crush and we talk about him all the time," she answered.
"We had sex," I confessed. Zoe's eyes widened. "You did what? How did you do it? Did he approach you?" She asked curiously.
I explained everything to her and she pulled me into a hug. "I'm so sorry babe. You shouldn't have allowed him, he was drunk," she scolded softly.
"He was aware of what was happening around him so I just thought he wanted me," I muttered.
"It's okay. I'm sorry he didn't accept the situation well this morning. It's just a one night stand now so forget about it," Zoe advised.
"Thank you," I gave her a smile and went to take my bath. In the bathroom, bite marks of last night remained on my body. I closed my eyes, remembering how wild he was.

Two weeks later
My stomach churned, and I rushed into the bathroom to vomit. I groaned after flushing, it had been like this for days.
I couldn't even go to work for sometime because I didn't have the strength to. "Maya, are you in there?" Zoe said.
I couldn't talk so I walked out of the bathroom. She stood there, her arms acrossed her shoulders as she stared at me.
"Did you vomit again?" Zoe asked, and I nodded. "I need to see a doctor. My condition is getting worse," I said.
"Nothing is wrong with you, Maya," Zoe uttered and I shot her a glare. "What do you mean by that?" I asked.
"When last did you see your period?" She asked. "I was supposed to see it last week but I just thought it would come late," I shrugged.
"Maya, did you use condom that night?" She asked, shaking her head. My heart sank. We hadn't used protection.
Could I be pregnant? "No, this can't happen, I cannot be pregnant," I said, my voice shaky.
"It seems like it. You've been having all the symptoms, vomiting, headaches and you are pale, Maya. How can you make such a mistake?" She groaned.
Tears streamed down my face at the thought of becoming a mother. "Zoe, what do I do? I cannot be pregnant," I said.
"We have to confirm first before knowing what to do," she replied. "Should we go the hospital? I still have some money left," I muttered.
"No, I will go to the pharmacy to get a PT kit. I will be right back," Zoe said and left the house. I curled into a ball, feeling like a mess. I blamed myself for letting my desire get the best out of me.
Would David accept this child? What if he had a wife? Why didn't I think of all that before sleeping with him? Zoe came back few minutes later.
"Here," she handed me the kit. I walked to the bathroom nervously, my stomach twisting in knots. I peed on it and waited for the line to show.
"Zoe, please come. I can't look," I said, my hand shaky as I handed her the stick. I closed my eyes hoping the result would be negative.
"Fuck, Maya, you are fucking pregnant," Zoe whispered. I collapsed to the floor. I couldn't think, my mind raced with thoughts.
"No! Zoe, what do I do? What do I with this child? I can't afford to raise a child in this situation. Fuck! I feel like I'm going crazy," I said, tears streaming down my face.
Zoe looked at me with pity and sat beside me. "I'm sorry about this, Maya," she said, her voice comforting.
"My life is ruined just because I couldn't think. I brought this upon myself, I should have left that night," I muttered.
"The deed is done, Maya. We have to find a way out of this," she said. I didn't know what to do, I couldn't even think properly.
"What do I do? I can't get rid of the child. What if I die in the process?" I asked, my chest tightening.
"You won't get rid of the baby. You will go, and tell David about your child. He is rich, he should be able to take full responsibility," she suggested.
I sighed, feeling overwhelmed. Would he take responsibility? "It's the right thing to do," Zoe assured me.
But, what if David refused? Would I bear the consequences of our one night stand alone?
Maya's POV
"Ah! I found his office on Instagram," Zoe said loudly, breaking the silence.
I groaned, feeling tired from all the crying yesterday. My eyes were puffy, and my head ached.
Zoe walked towards me, holding my hand and pulling me up. "You have to be positive, Maya. Everything will be fine," she said, her voice reassuring.
"Thank you for your support," I appreciated, forcing a smile.
"You are my best friend, and I would do anything for you. Now, get up and get dressed," Zoe said, her tone firm but gentle.
"Do I have to go now?" I whined, stalling.
"Stop acting like a fucking kid. You are expecting a baby, woman. The earlier you tell him, the better for you," she advised, her words striking a chord.
I took a deep breath, preparing myself for the confrontation. I couldn't put it off any longer.
"Okay," I muttered, walking to the bathroom.
I took my bath, trying to shake off the anxiety. I got dressed in a nice outfit, a black pencil skirt and a shirt. A little makeup helped me look more presentable and mature.
"You look good," Zoe complimented me.
"Thank you, but I'm so nervous. He said he doesn't want to see me again that morning," I said, my heart racing at the thought of his stone-cold face.
"Nothing will happen. I'm sure he would accept your child. It's different when a child is involved now. Or do you want me to come with you?" Zoe offered.
I shook my head, not wanting to bother her. She had been covering my shift, working double time, which I knew was stressful.
"You should relax, please. I will be fine," I said. We exchanged hugs, and I left the house for David's office.
Boarding a taxi, I stared blankly at the blurred images as we drove by. This was my fate, it could be a blessing or my doom. The thought of raising this child alone scared me. I had no strength, physically or financially.
I prayed and hoped for the best as the taxi came to a halt in front of the building. I paid for my ride and stepped out of the car, taking a deep breath. The cool breeze did little to calm my racing heart.
"Good morning, madam," the receptionist said with a smile.
"Good morning. I'm here to see your boss, David," I said in a firm voice.
"Do you have an appointment with him?" She asked curiously.
"I don't have an appointment, but I'm his very close friend. Actually, I just came back from France and I'm here to surprise him with my presence," I lied.
The redhead receptionist chuckled. "That is so cute. My boss loves surprises. You use the elevator and press 5. His office is the first place you will see."
"Thank you so much," I smiled, following her directions.
My heart thumped in my chest as I stepped into the elevator. I wasn't settled, I could hear myself breathing.
Stepping out of the elevator, I came face-to-face with an office covered in glass. David sat on a chair while a woman sat on the couch.
I cleared my throat and stepped into his office. His eyes widened when he saw me. "What the fuck are you doing here?" David asked, his eyes blazing in anger.
I shivered but maintained composure.
The woman raised a curious brow, staring at me. My eyes cast downward, feeling small and intimidated.
"Who is she, babe?" She asked him. "Babe?" My heart broke at the term.
"I don't know her," David said, and my eyes widened. "Stop lying, you know me!" I yelled, feeling anger course through me.
"Babe, what's going on? Who is she?" The woman asked, her voice alarming.
"Tessy, just calm down and let me handle this," he said to her, his voice calm.
Then he turned to me, disgust in his eyes. "What the fuck do you want from me?" He demanded.
"I'm pregnant," I said, and everywhere became silent. "What did you say?" Tessy demanded, her voice laced with hurt.
"I'm pregnant for him. I'm carrying his baby," I repeated, my voice loud and clear. David laughed like I cracked a joke.
"You are joking. Please, leave my office," he said. I stood there, refusing to be defeated.
"You are cheating? David, are you for real? I left just for a day, and you got a woman pregnant. Our wedding is in four days, for goodness' sake!" His fiancée yelled.
"Baby, I'm sorry. I was drunk," he apologized. She ignored him and pushed me out of the way, leaving his office in anger.
"I'm carrying your baby. The sex we had that night led to a child," I said, my voice firm.
David walked towards me, his eyes cold. "Get the fuck out of my office, woman," he said, his voice demanding.
Tears welled in my eyes at his cruelty.
"What about our child?" I asked, my voice shaking.
"You are nothing but a disposable mistake. I don't know you, and I don't care," he spat.
His words cut deep into my soul, and I felt broken. "Why? Why would you do this to me? Don't run away from your responsibility," I challenged him.
He chuckled. "Take responsibility for a woman that opens her leg to every man she sees. You are a slut, and I want nothing to do with you," he said, clicking his tongue.
My chest tightened in pain. I wanted to scream and hit him.
"I'm getting married to the most beautiful woman ever. She is an actress, and I love her. So, don't think you have a chance in my life because of that thing in you," he continued.
He pushed me out of his office, and I fell to the ground. I cried, feeling like the world was coming to an end.
"Hey, what are you doing on the floor?" A voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
I struggled to look up, wincing in pain. A sharp pain shot through my head, and darkness consumed me. Everything went black.
