"Dave, Dave please hear me out."
"Dave!" Jessica was desperately calling out Dave to sort things out between them as she was in disbelief that he had broken up with her.
She was screaming his name loudly with tears running down her cheeks making her face swollen. They loved each other so much and she wondered what went wrong as to why Dave turned so cold towards her.
"Dave please." She pleaded already exhausted as she didn't hear or see Dave.
She was restricted from coming to the Johnson's mansion by his cruel mother.
Though her mother still works there, she was not allowed to come near their house ever again.
All this was too much for Jessica as she was getting weak already but still insisted on staying to see him one last time.
It was as though the heavens had finally answered her dying wish as she heard the sound of Dave's car from their main gate driving inside their compound and to her greatest surprise ever, she felt betrayed and all the words Dave said to her that day were coming true.
She saw Dave and Ivy come out like they were a loving couple, laughing and holding hands together as they made their way to the mansion.
Jessica decided to use the opportunity to call Dave's attention.
"Dave! Dave!"
Dave turned to see who was shouting his name at that time and saw that it was Jessica. He excused himself from Ivy to go talk to her.
Jessica, already happy that her love was finally coming to speak with her, could see the disdain on his face as he approached her.
"What Jessica! Or don't you know it's past bedtime."
Jessica was shocked at the tone Dave was using on her but went ahead to talk to him.
"Dave, you left me with no other choice. What did I ever do to you to deserve this type of treatment Dave?"
"Everything! Everything. You know for one minute Jess, I think my mum is right about you. You're just a poor little girl looking for attention and love in places you do not deserve it. Leave me the hell alone Jessica. Please! get out of my life." He said and left.
The words hit Jessica so hard like a rock that she held her chest so tight crying uncontrollably. It really got her this time and she couldn't believe that Dave Johnson would do that to her.
All the years together were wasted and it dawned on her that she had lost Dave forever.
He didn't give her the chance to say what she came to say as he dropped more heartbreaking words to her.
"I'll never forgive you Dave, I'll never." She said crying uncontrollably holding her tummy with both hands.
Dave and Jessica were childhood sweethearts and loved each other since they were little but now she has to grow up as reality is already dawning on her.
"Whatever the case will be, I'll never allow the Johnson's to take a hold of this, they won't."
She left after looking at the mansion one last time feeling used and broken that all the words Dave spoke to her concerning them were all lies and now she is seeing his true nature.
It's been weeks since she spoke to Dave and all she could think of was how harsh he was towards her. Also, the way he held Ivy as if they were a loving couple was slowly crawling back to her, leaving her in pain.
She could remember how Dave defended her when Ivy bullied and made fun of her. He was her knight in shining armor but the sudden change bothered her greatly.
_________
The day has come for Dave to leave and so she followed him to the airport unnoticed, after her mum told her about Dave studying abroad, she wanted to see him again even if it was the last time so she sneakily watched Dave as he said his goodbyes to his mum, dad, grandma Leah and Ivy.
She felt a different kind of pain watching as they hugged for so long. She was almost noticed by Dave when he turned to her side but luckily for her, he didn't see her.
She watched one last time as Dave was about to go to his flight with tears rolling down her eyes and her chest pounding so loud.
She muttered his name lightly as she watched him go.
"Da–" her voice cracked in between.
Months passed and Jessica was still down. She never knew that Dave's absence would take a great toil on her. She stayed indoors more and had appetite loss.
Her mother, being worried about her, decided to stop working for them to take care of her and her grandchild. She feared Jessica would do something drastic and was with her throughout her journey.
After what Mrs Johnson did to her daughter, Mrs Iris confronted her about her wicked acts reminding her that she was just another daughter in law to the Johnsons and not the daughter.
This infuriated Mrs Johnson when she heard it and threatened to kill Jessica if she sees her again. Because of those threats, Mrs Lawson quit to protect her daughter from the Johnson's.
"Jessy baby, my poor little girl. I wish I could take this pain away from you my darling. I hate to see you this way. They don't deserve your tears baby, they don't and it hurts me to know that they are doing alright when you're not."
Jessica was listening to her mother laying down flat, tears began streaming down her eyes again.
She wondered if she would be able to pass this stage especially now she has a child growing inside her.
She loved Dave and he did her dirty but she knew of a fact that she would come back stronger and better.
"Mum."
"Yes, my child,"
"I'll have my revenge on the Johnson's." She turns looking at her mother with a serious face that scared her mum.
"I promise."
"Keep your distance away from my son, you stinky rag. How many times do I have to tell you that you're not fit for my son? Huh!"
"My son isn't fit for you and the sooner it gets to your brain, the better for all of us."
These nightmares keep coming back no matter how much Jessica tries to forget them.
She remembers them vividly as if it happened just yesterday. Tears ran down from her cheeks as she held her tummy tight screaming for help from her sleep.
Help! Help! She woke up breathing so hard.
No matter how much she tries, it's still fresh in her memory. The words Dave said to her, the hardship his mother put her and her mother through and the thought of almost losing her precious child was still taunting her.
All she feels right now is a deep hatred she has grown for Dave, the one she once loved with everything in her but did her dirty in an unusual way.
She was only 17 years old but she had to grow up quickly thanks to the Johnson's family. Even though they're still good people who showed her love like Grandma Leah and Mr Andrew, but Dave's mother wasn't fair to them and it hurts so bad.
She stood up to check on her daughter who meant the whole world to her. She was her safe haven whenever she was feeling down. She opened her room and admired her while she slept so peacefully. Bent over to pat her gently smiling and crying before giving her a soft kiss on her cheeks.
She loved how peaceful she was while sleeping and thanked God for bringing her her way. Her daughter was the reason, she had to restart life again.
When she found out that she was pregnant for Dave at a very young age, she really thought that everything would start going well for the both of them once she broke the news to him but unfortunately for her, it didn't go as planned.
And with what Mrs Sarah did to her knowing that she was pregnant, she made it her greatest responsibility to protect her precious daughter from the Johnson's family. She didn't want to put her child through in the hands of Sarah Johnson.
And her mum, who had always been her greatest support system, resigned from working for the Johnson's and taking care of her bruised child.
"Oh sweet mum, you've shown me how a mother is meant to be and I'm glad to do that for Millie."
After an hour staring and caressing her daughter, she left her room back to hers to use the remaining hours to sleep.

Jessica Lawson works as one of the best wedding planners in the City and loved her job so much.
She has helped plan out the best weddings ever recorded and has been named in Forbes as one of the most influential women under 30.
"So tell me Ms Lawson, how were you able to achieve great heights in just five years of starting?" The interviewer asked.
"Well, I'll say passion first, because without passion there won't be success. Please don't get me wrong. You can also succeed without passion but there is something about passion that separates you from other things. You will find fulfillment doing that particular thing if you have the passion for it. So that's how I got here and I'm so grateful to be here right now."
"Wow, that's something to take home today honestly, passion sets you apart from just doing. Thank you so much, Jessica and I can't wait to have you here again if you don't mind."
"Sure, sure, anytime."
"Ok, before we call it a wrap, I know people are curious to know the man behind these beautiful smiles and hot body. By the way, you look so good and I know someone is behind it. Tell us, we want to know."
"Haha, well to be honest I wish I could say there is someone but unfortunately there's no one except my job that's keeping me busy and I'm enjoying it. Maybe that is what is making me happy in all the right places."
"Haha, that's fair enough Ms Lawson. Fair enough. Once again, thank you for gracing this show to talk to us. We are so happy you're here and I know our viewers are the same."
"Pleasure is all mine." Jessica said.
"So here you have it, the beautiful Jessica Lawson has given us a bit too much of what we want to know about how to succeed on any line of work as long as you have the passion for it. I hope you go home today with the saying that goes, "Passion is the ultimate key to great Success."
"Till we come your way next time, remain fabulous my lovelies. Muah, Bye....."
The interviewer who is Jessica's best friend, Lisa couldn't stop grinning at her friend for coming to her show. It took almost five months before Jessica agreed to come on tv to speak with Lisa.
"Gurl! You rock, huh! Now I can actually rest from my boss who has been on my neck for the past months now. You're hot cake now, you know."
"I'm glad I can rest too and I hope it will be for the longest because you're a pain in the ass."
"I know I am and that is why you love me even more."
"I honestly do wonder where and how I met you Lisa because..."
"Because nothing girl, you are blessed to have me in your life, don't mention darling."
"I hate you." Jessica said while leaving Lisa's dressing room.
"I love you too and remember dinner at my place tonight, don't forget!"
"Such a drama queen."
Jessica smiled while leaving the broadcasting station.
Just as she was about to enter her gray light Range Rover, a car drove in front of her, almost hitting her car when she realized who it was.
"Please not you today."
"Hey beauty, fancy seeing you today."
It was no other than Lisa's boss, Immanuel. The man that knows not his age when it comes to toasting young girls. He is known for always flocking around girls, getting their attention and sleeping with them but he hasn't been able to have his way with Jessica.
And to think that he threatened Lisa that if she doesn't bring her friend on their show, that she would be fired and that was why Jessica with all her busy schedule decided to help her friend from not being fired by her womanizing boss.
"Hi Mr Immanuel, it's nice seeing you again." She said mockingly.
"I know that expression Jessica, I know you're not pleased to see me even though I'm so pleased to see you come to my show and to think that your friend actually convinced you to come, it was a good one I pulled out right." He said smiling with his brownish scattered teeth.
"I can see that you're a very ambitious man and you mean business which I admire a little but the very next time you threaten my friend again like that, believe me, the next show I'll be giving will be all about the owner of Zelda broadcasting and you know that will be bad business for you right?" Jessica said with a stern face.
Mr Immanuel was scared by what she said and decided to respect himself especially around Jessica knowing that people respect her so much and anything she says can actually close his business.
"You know I'm only pulling your legs, don't take it personal as I'm not a serious guy Jess."
She wasn't happy with the way he called her Jess which she gave a more disdain and irritating look before entering her car.
"Please, move your thing, I want to leave as I have important things to attend to. You see, I'm busy unlike you that have all the time so please shush!" She said waving her hands for him as he was blocking her own car from moving.
Mr Immanuel, with shame, entered his car and drove away being embarrassed by what happened.

"Good day ma'am, I can see you're done with your interview with Zelda."
"Yes I am, Bianca, thank you. What's my schedule for the rest of today." Jessica said as she walked into her office with her P.A.
"Yes, you'll be meeting with Mr Zack for the finishing touches concerning his wife's bridals and Mrs Adams wants to know how her daughter's wedding planning is going, so she asked for you to call her immediately when you get to the office."
"Ok, I'll do that right away. Thank you bianca."
"All pleasure, ma'am."
"Lastly, we have new guests who want to plan their wedding, they booked an appointment by 5 pm. I don't know if you'll take it."
"5 pm, why? I have other business to attend to."
"Yes, I actually told them, you'll be unavailable but her fiance insisted that he will be very busy for the rest of the week till next week, so we should compromise."
"Wow! And they can't make it 2 pm."
"Actually, he's not in town right now and from what I gathered, he will be landing by 4 pm that is why."
"Well, as if we have a choice. Ok. Thank you so much Bianca, that's all for now."
"Ok, ma'am, is there anything you want me to get for you, coffee or tea?"
"Coffee will do."
"Alright, on the way."
~~~
"Rat-tat-ta," a soft knock was heard from Jessica's office. "Ma'am our guests are here." Her P.A said.
She looked at her watch and saw that time had already flown by so quickly that she didn't realize she hadn't had lunch yet and also heard from her mum and child.
"Yes, come in," she responded and her P.A entered her office.
"Ma'am, they are here already."
"I just remembered, I haven't had anything since I came in and also I need to make a quick call to my mum, could you please hold them up for me for some minutes?"
"I can try and as for your meal, I would send for it right away."
"No, forget the meal, after the meeting, I will eat. I just hope they won't keep me for long."
"Ok, if you say so. Let me go back and attend to them."
"Yes please, thank you."
Jessica called her mum but couldn't get hold of her for a while which grew impatient.
"Mum! Please pick up, pick up, pick up," she paced back and forth in her wide office.
"Hello my baby,"
"Finally, thank God! Mum, what's wrong, I've been trying to get hold of you."
"I'm sorry, I had guests over and didn't know where I dropped my phone. How're you doing baby."
"Mum, I'm not a baby, remember."
Her mum chuckled at her and teased her even more, "well, you're right but as long as I live you'll always be my baby although I have two now. My small baby and my big baby."
"Mummy! please stop, ok." Jessica pleaded to her mum. "How's Millie, is she there with you, I want to speak with her."
"No, she's not close by but wait let me call her."
"Millie baby, mummy wants to speak with you." She could hear her mum call her daughter.
"And will you be working late today because I can sense you're still at your office."
"Yes mummy, I have these new guests that just came in but I needed to call you first before I head out because you know, it might take a while out there."
"Ok, she's here." Jessica could hear her daughter's little noises which soothe her heart.
"Hey mummy,"
"Hey baby," Jessica was about to cry after hearing her child's voice after a long day today. "How're you doing my daisy?"
"I'm fine mummy, I'm playing with the new toys grandma's friends gave me."
"Ok, I hope you're enjoying your new toys."
"Yes and will you be coming to pick me up?"
"Yes baby, very soon. Just that mummy has a client she needs to attend to, once she's done, she'll come running to you. I promise."
"Ok, mummy, just take your time, bye". She quickly said returning the phone back to her grandma so she could go back to playing with her toys.
"Oh... bye baby."
"Kids nowadays," her mother said, watching her granddaughter hump with joy. "Back to you, I hope you've eaten my little pumpkin?"
Jessica knew that once her mum calls her that, it will be the beginning of an endless call so she had to end it.
"Bye mum, I love you!"
"Wait! Jessica, I'm not done." She could hear her mum as she cut the call.
"Phew... so where were we?" She dials her P.A's line with the office phone instructing her to meet her. Bianca comes immediately after the call.
"Yes ma'am."
"Yes, how are things out there, I hope no trouble."
"Not at all, I was able to keep them busy."
"Good, thank you. It's time to meet them."
Jessica stands from her chair making her way to the arena where her guests were and upon arrival she received the greatest shock of her life.
"Wow, look who we have here, babe."
