Knock... knock... The door opened immediately and they were both surprised for different reasons. "Who are you?" Andaru asked coldly. "You bastard! What are you two doing in this room, huh?" The angry Dean lunged at Ndaru and hit her on the right cheek, then pulled back and hit her again. "Andaru!" Linar was startled to hear Tita's shout as she quickly approached the outer door. "Stop it, Dean!" Linar tugged at the back of Dean's shirt. Linar continued to push Dean away from Andaru's torso several times. Linar went down to touch her chest with one hand and tried to breathe regularly. "Go away, Dean, like you said, we'll separate the way I want," Linar said. "So you chose him, your lover, over me, your own husband?" "Don't reverse the facts. I wasn't the one who could cheat on you, until you cheated on me and got pregnant, and you acted as if there was no problem." "Go away!" Buggh!!! Prang!!! This was about the fair reality of life, though it was never fair to her, about the betrayal of the universe against her who glorified loyalty. Which path did she take? How does the universe determine her fate? You can find it in every part, packed with easy language and real storytelling.

Chapter 1 1. Poisonus Small Talks

"Please help me to pick up the cake in the kitchen!"

"Please clean up this table!"

"Please pay online in front of this home!"

"Linar, please help take care of Sintia's son, move to his room on the upper floor because Sintia is taking care of her other son, so you don't go anywhere!" Aunt Ira repeatedly made Linar misunderstood, on the one hand he wanted to accompany Dean and participate in the seven-month event of his cousin Dean. He was in the house of his grandfather, Dean.

She initially offered herself to help three housekeepers who seemed troubled to prepare and clean the house because he was the only daughter-in-law who didn't bother taking care of the children.

But she felt that aunt Ira was taking advantage of it with the pretext of understanding each other and helping at a time when everyone was having trouble taking care of their cultural events and caring for the children.

The smiling little Linar saw the one-and-a-half-year-old batita in her bow, in her heart she hoped to soon get the gift of a child.

"Linar!"

Linar's contact stared at her mother-in-law who was approaching.

"What is there, Mom?"

"Why haven't you mixed up with others? Did Dean even look for you twice?"

"I have to take care of Wilmar. From then on he cried and worried that if I took him there I would disrupt her show," Say Linar sorry.

"Why doesn't his mother, if Sintia is busy taking care of her first child, still have his father?" Tagged Gayatri

Linar could only cheat on him if he told him it was difficult to reject the orders of Aunt Ira who did not cover up her dislike for herself

"Gayatri, why are you here?" Ira's intrusion made them both look with different faces.

"Ira, please call Sintia's husband, ok! to take her son from Linar. Because Dean has been looking for his wife ever since!"

"Sintia's husband is talking to uncle Sutedjo, so she's not going to be bothered because I think Linar has no other obligations because she doesn't have a child, so what's wrong if I ask help her who knows this could be a spongy on having a child if she is healthy."

"Ira, please keep your words, and don't humiliate Linar just because she doesn't have a child so you can tell her as you like!" by Gayatri.

"What happened, Sis?" Everyone looked at the newly arrived Aunt Ambar.

"Usually, Gayatri was offended because I asked wife of his son for help while we were busy taking care of the kids and the event."

"Sis, let her brother Ira ask for help to Linar, so she accepts it, it's true that Linar is not in a hurry, because she doesn't have a conversation in this show, too."

Linar was squeezed, feeling like he wanted to rise to the floor, hugging herself and crying. She does not want to be able to give birth to her husband and daughter. She doesn't want to make herself the object of the parent's quarrel here. She was ashamed to get the attention of the people who watched across the swimming pool and the terrace in front of it even the ad of the person who stopped and watched him behind the barrier glass. She was embarrassed.

"Sorry Aunt, but I have to meet Dean, maybe there's what he needs' ' Says Linar, who managed to sound without shaking.

Linar gave the sleeping Wilmar to Aunt Ira, who was the batita's grandmother, without covering a rejecting look without a word.

When she smiled, she walked in the direction her mother told her.

"Dean"

"Linar, oh god! I've been looking for you, where have you been?"

"Sorry i'm on the upper floor to keep Wilmar crying," said Linar smiling while taking the mug that Dean was holding, she stood out of thirst.

"You must be Linar's wife Dean, right?"

Linar stared and was immediately uncomfortable because the gaze scanned her appearance from the bottom up of the interlocutor who denied her.

"Who are they?" Ask in the heart.

"Linar, introduce this to Uncle Anto and Aunt Weni. They were the parents of his friend Wisnu who had an event and my friend too" Clearly Dean introduced them

Linar courteously treated them. "You were married long before my daughter Alea got married. Where are your kids, how old are they?" Linar's chest was squeezed, her face was unable to answer the feeling that everyone already knew if they had not had a post-mortem child almost a year ago.

"We haven't even been given a kid, Aunt Weni." Dean approached Linar's waist on him.

"We're still trying," Imbuh Dean calmed down.

"Oh, it's a pity, but if it were, your kid would be pretty and beautiful and could be a close friend of his six-month-old son Alea, who is funny. He said he was cheerful regardless of Dean's flat face and Linar's downward side.

"Aunt and Uncle,we ask for prayers, hopefully we will soon get a child who is good in behavior and healthy, so we need to go, we'll leave." replied Dean.

Linar grabbed Dean's arm on his way to the crowded Family Room, "You don't have to think about the words of those who didn't care about you, understand?"

"Yes and thank you for your treat, Babe." Linar is tempting.

***

Linar joined herself in front of the mirror and smiled, pleased to see herself who managed to lose two kilograms of weight in this week. She looked like she was wearing the black lingerie he bought two weeks ago.

Dean is right, they have a lot of time to strive to have children, and this time Linar is going to start it. She sprayed back the scent that Dean liked. Linar wears a long robe to cover her black lingerie, then comes out of the bathroom.

Linar looked at Dean's tall body on the balcony of their bedroom and looked like Dean was kneeling and speaking on the telephone channel, he decided to follow up to the balcony.

Linar smiled at Dean who immediately switched off his phone because of Linar's arrival. But there was an exaggerated shock face that Dean immediately concealed.

Linar shrugged his forehead curiously, "From whom, Babe?"

"From Roland, he asked me to meet him at the café to meet our new colleague. You know we're building connections and relationships." Dean explained as he summarized Linar's face looking up to meet his eyeballs.

Dean hesitated, he looked deeply into Linar's clear eyes "I'm sorry, Lin."

Linar frowned "No need to apologize, but can you come back early? I'll wait for you."

Linar pleaded, draping her arms around Dean's neck.

Dean smiled faintly and lifted Linar's buttocks so that he could deeply kiss Linar's pink lips.

Linar pushed Dean's chest lightly and breathed in oxygen, her heart beating fast whether from arousal or lack of oxygen.

"Be careful on the road, I'll wait for you here." Linar released.

***

Linar had almost given up on the drowsiness after two hours, but he managed to move by watching a movie on a paid channel on his laptop.

Linar checked her cell phone, which only made her disappointed that Dean had not yet answered her message for more than two hours.

'Maybe they're late in a typical man's conversation to forget time with his wife, Hufth, thought Linar.

She decided to step out of the room and walk down the stairs. As she arrived below, she twisted her forehead to see the mid-room lights still lit. Curious, she walked near without making a sound. She glanced at the room barrier gap made of wood that, in design, was somewhat far away from there. She only found Mami Gayatri, Ista, and Aunt Ira until Uncle Soepomo was still talking to the television that was only watched by Uncle Soepomo.

Linar shrugged in the silent presence of her Aunt and uncle, but she firmly believed that it was better. She focused on her intention to fill his empty glass. She turned, but

"But it's been two years since Linar got pregnant either. If there's really no damage to her uterus, she should be able to get pregnant again, right? Or is Linar actually never going to get pregnant again?" Aunt Ira asked.

DEG.

Chapter 2 2. Strong Alone

DEG.

Suddenly Linar fell silent hearing her name being spoken a bit sarcastically as well. She turned around, hiding behind the wooden walls of her heart, as she would later regret her shaking.

"You shouldn't say that, but what do you mean? look! God has not given them children even though they are young, so we pray for them to have children soon." reply to Gayatri.

Linar smiled, her heart relieved to hear her mother's defense.

"But Grandpa already wanted a grandson from Dean, and that's because he wanted to see his grandchildren from Dean before he died later."

"Grandpa often told that to Dean. Dean always have millions of answers. Hah.. especially if this year Linar is still not pregnant, you who will be forced to marry and denounced, let you immediately give him a grandson," replied Aunt Ira, chuckling.

"What?" Ista squeezed to hear it, and immediately she was glared at by Uncle Soepomo, who began to raise his voice.

"It's half eight in the evening; don't make noise. And Ira does not comment too far, no matter how it is the household affairs of two adults who are trying to get a child, so it's better to pray for them to have kid soon."

"Honestly, I'm also worried about their household because, after seeing Dean so disappointed and sad about Linar's miscarriage last year, it seems like he's less confident in Linar and engaged in office affairs until Dean often comes home late at night."

"Mom knows from whom; who said that? What is Linar complaining to you about?"

Gayatri looked at Ista and waved slowly. "No, but Linar never lied to Mom. And I also repeatedly asked Security and the housekeeper, who said sometimes Dean came home late and overnight outside without her wife on weekends, although not often, but still I worried."

"If you're worried, why don't you advise them to try baby tubes, artificial insemination, or anything else? Because with the presence of a child, you will create a relationship that can be broken up, isn't it?" replied Aunt Ira.

"They weren't barking; only Dean was getting busy working, so he shortened his time with Linar. But I'm sure Dean still loves Linar," Gayatri said, highlighting Ira, Ista, and Soepomo.

"Yes, but there is truth in the words of Aunt Ira, Mom. They could try the help of doctors so that Linar could get pregnant quickly and I was free from the threat of forced marriage!" find the same.

"They've just been married for two and a half years; it's too early to tell them to do so. Mami worried that it would offend Linar."

"Yes, you're right, but sometimes I'm sorry for Linar, who's still not good at socializing with family, relatives, and our relationships. In addition, the woman who is not pregnant has made her a month-to-month of you, Ira."

"Daddy, are you defended her? Oh god!"

Enough is! Linar didn't want to hear any more. It seems that their conversation will soon end because of the night.

DEG... DEG...

Linar's chest was tight, her tears dripped down her left cheek. Linar immediately turned and walked to the kitchen as soon as she was thirsty, then drank a glass of water.

As she put the glass on the table, she bowed down, and her left cheeks flowed. It was as if Linar was holding her chest sick because of sickness.

'Oh God, why is this heart so sad to hear the tones of the contribution that commented on her housekeeping, as if all the fault was on herself, and it turned out throughout this Mommy knew Dean's change added validation if the concern was real, not only herself but her Mommy-in-law who was not live at home realized it.

Linar bites her lips while holding her crying. Linar knocks on her chest slowly. She knocked on her chest, just where the pain came from. The burden is felt.

Dap...Dap..dap

Linar was shocked to hear the steep footsteps coming from the middle space that would pass her as she climbed the stairs. Impulsive Linar bowed and hugged her knees, hiding behind the table and chairs placed behind the table.

Linar was grateful not to turn on the lights. Now she just wants to enjoy her sadness and loneliness.

"Ah. Where is Dean now? I need you; go home quickly, please" said Linar in her heart.

***

Linar wakes up with both her eyes moving awake, seeing the curtains still closed, but the sunlight, like a storm, gives its presence so that Linar can see the flashes of sunlight already standing on the horizon of the sky.

Linar looked at the wall clock, which indicated 6:55 a.m. Big no! It's too late today.

Linar lamented that she had passed through the dawn, and now she is still staying at her grandfather Dean's house. With a few brothers who stayed like him.

"How embarrassing, and why did Dean not come home without news?"

Linar quickly got up to clean the bed, finished his bathroom, and continued to perform the morning worship. Then she walked down the stairs and went to the kitchen.

"Ijah, what can I do to help?" Linar approached the housekeeper.

"You don't need Linar; just the dishwasher remains; soon it will be done."

Linar nodded and saw the clean dish in the middle, meaning he missed breakfast together.

"Oh, my god, Linar, you finally woke up too. It's noon, and you missed helping me and Mrs. Ijah prepare breakfast because you didn't have breakfast together. Are you often so late?" Ask Aunt Ira with a loud voice while walking closer and inviting the attention of the other brother-in-law.

Very good!

Linar became the center of attention again because of her negligence, but this time she wanted to dare to express her feelings. She calmly replied,

"Sorry Aunt, I was also surprised to see the clock was already seven o'clock less. It's too bad I missed breakfast together. And..." Linar paused her speech.

Seeing that from the corner of her eye the other siblings were watching her as if enjoying a spectacle that was too good to miss Linar took a deep breath trying to replenish her ammunition.

"What? Why did you stop?"

"The answer is no, I used to wake up at five or half past six because I have a husband who goes to work in the morning. And i'm the one who usually prepares all his needs because we intentionally have an on-call housekeeper. Actually, I waited all night for Mr Dean to come home so I woke up late. I'm sorry Aunt, so I won't be having breakfast with you," Linar replied too firmly, which made the atmosphere even quieter and Linar smiled in return.

"You're talking like you're in court," Aunt Ambar, chuckled.

Linar gave a small nod, she grimaced because she couldn't join in the laughter, she wasn't good at manipulating the atmosphere.

"Aunt, do you know where mummy is?"

Aunt Ira raised one eyebrow, "She in the back garden chatting with my husband, what's the need?"

"Nothing important, Aunt." Linar concluded smiling and immediately turned towards the back garden.

****

Linar opened the messaging app on her phone and frowned as she read the message that read her husband's apology for staying over at Roland's house.

It was already midnight when Dean replied to her message, Linar was disappointed, she felt even worse today.

Linar furrowed her brow as she didn't get any more replies, why was Dean getting slower and slower in replying to her messages? It's not like it's him but it's unlikely that anyone would dare to mess with Dean's device even if it's unlocked.

***

Linar shook her head softly, shaking off the negative thoughts that had started to haunt her lately.

"We're here, ma'am," the taxi driver interrupted and sure enough, he had arrived in front of the lobby of Dean's office.

After completing the transaction, Linar got out of the taxi to calm down. She knew there would be at least a few people watching her.

Linar walked confidently while carrying two bags.

Linar slowed down her footsteps and

"Linar?" Roland greeted

Linar heard her name being called and immediately turned her head and smiled kindly, "Hi Roland, how are you?"

"I'm fine, how about you... and you look even prettier"

Linar chuckled. "Yes, I am thinner because of the carbohydrate diet," she said with a meaningful smile.

"Oh Roland, how did it go last night?"

"Last night?" Roland's question dangled.

"Yes, what time did the meeting end last night? Exactly?" Linar asked curiously.

Roland furrowed his brows in surprise, "Eleven o'clock at night."

"I see, then why did Dean have to stay with you, he usually goes home at that time?"

"Dean?" Roland muttered questioningly.

"Yeah, why? You guys met at a cafe or club last night, right?" Linar asked suspiciously.

"You guys, what do you mean? I wasn't with Dean last night, but with my boyfriend and Dean was at his grandfather's house with you, right?"

Knowing something was wrong with the change in Linar's face, Roland quickly added.

"Maybe you misunderstood what she said, it wasn't me, Dean's friend who was with him last night, he must be Dipta." Roland guessed calmly.

Deg.

Chapter 3 3. Feel Not Like You

"It wasn't me, Dean's friend who was with him last night, maybe it was Dipta." Roland guessed soothingly.

Deg.

She clearly heard that the name her husband mentioned was Roland and not Dipta, but why?'

"Linar, I'm sorry I have to continue working. It's lunch time soon, I'll go first."

Linar gave a small nod as a weight settled on her chest and mind. Linar shook her head softly and stared ahead, gasping as she realized she was standing alone in the wrong place.

Luckily the lift opened and she quickly got in saving herself from any questioning or annoyed looks for standing in the middle of the street.

****

Linar nodded as she was let in by Nuga, Dean's work assistant.

"Thank you Nuga."

Linar looked deeply at Dean who greeted her at the door. "Linar, you're here, don't you usually text me if you want to come? Ah about last night, I'm sorry that I didn't come home last night and was late in replying to your message."

Dean, who did not get an answer, asked again, "What did you bring up?"

Deg... deg.. deg.

Linar looked up to gaze into the depths of Dean's eyes, staring deeply with uncertain feelings.

"Lin?"

Linar looked down and shook her head lightly.

"Why are you still asking, didn't I already text you, Dean?" she said softly.

Dean folded his lips knowing something was wrong.

"And, you seem surprised to see me visiting you this morning after leaving me at your grandfather's house, you know what? I was cold last night waiting for you and the next morning I was confused answering your brother's questions about your whereabouts which I didn't know, where my husband last night?" Linar complained.

Dean flattened his face in disgust at the situation Linar had created.

"I told you, last night I had to meet a work relation that Roland was going to introduce me to. And we lost track of time, I was too tired from driving so I decided to stay at Roland's place." Dean said as he turned towards the small sofa set in the center of the room.

Linar's hands clasped together for strength, her chest was hurting more and more as if it was hit by an invisible hand. Who was lying, but Roland's response was too natural.

Linar took a breath and exhaled softly, "What is it again, Linar?"

Linar looked up "Strange," Linar muttered clearly.

"It's strange, this morning I sent a text asking for your whereabouts and you replied too. The contents of the text are at Roland's house."

"But I also offered to bring a change of clothes for work and lunch to your office and you replied 'ok, just came' seemingly coldly." Linar said hoarsely observing Dean's response.

"Ah yes, you're right, it was me. I forgot, sorry... I'm done being angry," Dean said sincerely.

Linar hated being too sensitive, because her sensitivity made her think of things painfully. So Linar could only smile wryly,

"I don't understand, are you sure it was you who replied to the text this morning, Dean?" Linar asked skeptically.

"I just forgot Linar, today I was late for work because I woke up late and was immediately faced with a lot of work, sorry ok!" pleaded Dean embracing Linar's body regardless of having walked backwards, he hugged her tightly kissing the top of her head traveling to her forehead and down to Linar's lips which did not reply.

Linar's lips twitched as she heard Dean's heart beating hard, like... uncomfortable feeling?

Linar returned the hug, resting his head on Dean's chest inhaling the scent emanating from Dean's body that he always liked. But the scent was too strong, a sign that Dean had sprayed too much fragrance.

Shit!

Linar stretched her arms first and looked up, she smiled then asked.

"So how did you meet the relation that Roland introduced you to yesterday, tell me about it?" Linar lured with a faint smile.

Dean looked at her deeply as if he was sorting something out, "Well, he's a contractor who has a lot of experience. We talked a lot until we lost track of time and I was too tired to drive so Roland asked me to stay at his place so, yeah I agreed."

Linar nodded twice, seating herself right beside Dean. Shortly after Dean got up and walked to his desk, Dean connected the phone at his desk ordering a glass of iced matcha latte from Nuga, the work assistant for his wife.

"It's okay Dean, I can wait, you don't need to urge Nuga who is also busy."

Dean turned his head half-heartedly and finished his call with Nuga.

"Come here!" Invite Linar

Knock... knock

"Come in!"

"Excuse me sir, here's the matcha latte"

"Thank you Nuga, oh! you're wearing a calm coloured shirt, usually dark colors."

Nuga smiled as he touched his shirt "Yes Lin, yesterday I saw a worker in the office downstairs, his skin was dark like mine and he was wearing a calm coloured shirt but it matched and I tried it on, it's good, right?"

"Yes, the color of your shirt matches the one you're wearing, it's awesome!" Linar smiled back in praise and Dean spontaneously looked at Nuga flatly.

"That's it, get on with your work, Nuga!" Dean ordered coldly.

Linar turned her head to observe Dean's real face because Dean had been moving awkwardly and even turned his back more like he was uncomfortable or something he was covering up, just blaming her over-sensitive heart.

"Who you guys were chatting with?"

Dean blinked his eyes once, "Just the three of us, yesterday was just a casual meeting between men while chatting about job prospects, client proposals that we could work with in the future" Dean said, shrugging his shoulders and throwing his neatly trimmed hair back.

Linar looked deeply at Dean with disappointment, preferring to remain silent.

Linar was sure that Dean had caught the change in her that was not concealed. Linar let Dean, who was sitting next to him, drink her matcha latte first, but when the dean's hand, which wanted to bring the matcha Latte to his lips, was cut off by Linar, the contents spilled slightly dirty into his clothes.

"What's wrong, Lin?" called Dean who was rudely brushed off by Linar, they were both surprised to see half the contents of the matcha latte that was slightly spilled by Linar.

"I don't want to drink that" Linar squealed with a fake smile.

"I'm going home" Linar exclaimed, getting up and turning around violently but not yet reaching the door, her arm was held by Dean.

"What's wrong with you?!" snapped Dean in frustration.

"It's okay, I don't want to bother you any longer, I mean you have to continue working right?" Linar exclaimed, swatting Dean's hand away gently but firmly.

"And make sure you come back to our house tonight." Linar said, ignoring Dean's call.

****

"Hello?"

"..."

"Ah I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you that I can't attend the baking course today, I have something to do. I'm sorry, Ineu." Linar concluded as she turned her attention to the window of the moving car.

She remembered Listya's words that she had seen Dean walking in the Mall accompanied by a man and a woman, but the woman seemed close to Dean and when she confirmed it to her husband he confirmed but did not agree to be said to be close, they were friends in reasonable portions, she argued.

Linar opened her social media and searched for her husband's account, she flicked the screen up and down looking for any digital footprints that might be a clue as to what it was.

What is clear is that today her mood is down and she doesn't need to be friendly with anyone, she is having trouble smiling so she needs to calm herself down after all, in the past few weeks Linar has been diligently exercising and taking care of herself at the salon to please herself and her husband.

****

Linar looked at herself in front of the mirror that only partially reflected her face and body, she pinched her cheeks that were still chubby, turning to her upper arms that had not shrunk.

"Hufth.." She sighed.

Linar turned on the water tap and washed her face trying to get rid of the negative thoughts lodged in her mind hoping to be clean with that water. Linar came out of the bathroom and stopped stepping when she saw Dean who had just entered. They stared at each other waiting.

"Hi, you just finished shower?" greeted Dean approaching Linar.

Linar nodded and walked to the clothes room, she sorted out the nightgown she was going to wear.

"Why are you looking in that closet?" Dean's interruption made her turn her head, only to realize Dean was staring at her leaning against the wall near the door.

"Just wanted to."

"What's wrong Linar?!"
