Chapter 1 001

KARA

"Where is Alpha Kieran? I have something important to show him and it could only be tonight to make tonight worthy" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. My heart fluttered with excitement-tonight, I had great news to tell him. It was going to be the highlight of the ceremony.

Aria, my most trusted Beta, glanced up from the scroll she was holding. "He could be in his quarters getting ready, Luna, you two have to be ready before the time runs out, go check on him while I wait in the hall for you" she replied, her voice steady and reassuring, though I could see the faint glimmer of concern in her eyes.

I nodded, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. It was supposed to be a night of celebration. A night when our pack would come together, marking the beginning of a new era under Alpha Kieran's leadership and my position as his Luna. But something in my gut twisted, an unease I couldn't shake off.

"Thank you, Aria, help me sort things out in the hall, I will be there soon, I just have to show Kieran some good news to make our day" I said quickly with a wide smile, then turned and made my way toward Kieran's quarters.

As I walked down the long, dimly lit hall, I felt the cool breeze of the evening air brushing against my skin, the silence enveloping me like a heavy blanket. I had to tell Kieran, I had to tell him that I was pregnant. It was the most precious news, and I couldn't wait to share it with him. But as I approached his door, I heard muffled sounds. At first, I thought it was just the wind, but then it became unmistakable-the unmistakable sound of... moaning, sounds of body tapping, and kisses, I could hear them very well.

At first I thought it was my imagination. Then I froze.

The air thickened around me, suffocating my thoughts. This couldn't be happening. Not tonight.

I stepped closer, my heart pounding in my chest, and peered through the small gap in the door. And what I saw made my blood run cold.

Alpha Kieran, my mate, the man I had loved and trusted with everything, was lying naked on the bed, tangled in the sheets with none other than Izzy-the woman he had always assured me was nothing to worry about.

Izzy... the one who had tried to come between us before the party, the one lady who said she would be in charge of the hall preparation, the lady who Kieran told me to hand over everything too because she was good at it.

I gasped, the papers in my hand slipping from my grip and falling to the ground with a soft thud. My knees buckled, but I steadied myself against the doorframe, refusing to let myself collapse.

"Alpha Kieran," I called out, my voice trembling, barely audible in the tense silence of the room.

Kieran didn't even flinch. He didn't look startled, didn't seem guilty. He didn't care that I had just caught him in the most intimate moment with the one person I had feared the most.

Izzy hissed, her eyes narrowing with contempt as she straightened up, her body still bare. "Your Luna knows no boundaries, doesn't she?" she sneered, pulling on her dress with a smirk, then walking past me without a second glance.

I stared at Kieran, my body shaking, a mixture of disbelief and rage rising inside me. "How could you?" My voice was barely a whisper, but it carried the weight of years of trust shattering in an instant.

He looked at me, his eyes cool, almost detached. "Let's enjoy tonight's moonlight ceremony, Luna," he said, his tone icy and indifferent. He flashed me a sly smile, as if he had no care in the world, as if everything that had just happened was nothing more than a trivial matter to him.

I wanted to scream. I wanted to slap the arrogant look off his face. But instead, I turned away, my breath hitching as tears stung my eyes. I couldn't even look at him anymore.

With trembling hands, I wiped away the tears and walked toward the hall, my mind spinning with disbelief. How had this happened? Was everything we had built, everything I had sacrificed for him, nothing but a lie?

The hall was buzzing with energy as pack members gathered, eagerly waiting for the ceremony to begin. The excitement in the air was palpable, but it all felt like a cruel joke now. I forced a smile, not wanting to show anyone what had just happened. I couldn't. Not here. Not now.

And then, it was time.

Kieran stepped onto the stage, the crowd falling into an expectant silence. He stood there, looking every bit the perfect Alpha, confident and commanding, a sharp contrast to the cold emptiness I felt in my chest.

"I have an announcement to make," Kieran said, his voice booming through the hall, capturing everyone's attention.

The pack members looked up at him, nodding with eager smiles. They all believed in him. They all trusted him. But I couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible was about to happen.

I stood at the back of the hall, my heart racing. Kieran's eyes scanned the room, his gaze finally landing on me. And then, without warning, he spoke.

"Luna Kara isn't fit to be my Luna," Kieran said, his voice steady, as if delivering the most casual of statements. "She isn't fit to lead this pack. I have my reasons for that."

The words hit me like a slap to the face, what had happened? This wasnt why we called for a party. The room fell into stunned silence.

"What's happening, Alpha? Was this the reason you called for a party tonight?" one of the pack members asked, a look of confusion on his face.

"Luna has been unfaithful," he said, his words dripping with venom. "She has been cheating on me with a lowly guard in this pack and I have been waiting for the right moment to reveal it, Tonight, the truth comes out" Kieran continued, his voice cold

Chapter 2 002

KARA

"Kieran..... how could you do this to me?" I murmured to myself as I stood in the midst of the pack members. My heart pounded in my chest. Unfit to be Luna. Unfit to lead, The words crushed me. He had turned the pack against me, built this lie.

The murmurs grew louder, then suddenly a loud voice spoke from the crowd. "Are we to believe this,Alpha?" One of the pack members asked, his voice filled with disbelief. "Is Luna really capable of this?"

Kieran didn't hesitate, his voice cold and cutting. "She is. She has betrayed me. I knew of her affair, and I let it go on for too long, but tonight it ends she can't be the Luna anymore"

I felt my knees buckle, and I crumpled to the ground. The states, the whispers, the looks all cut through me like a million daggers. But nothing hurt more than seeing the satisfaction in Kieran's eyes as he spoke.

Before I could gather my thoughts, the air pierced by a sudden howl. The sound was raw and guttural, filled with dangerous approaching. I stood shakily, trying to regain my composure, but it was too late. The door to the hall opened with a violent crash, and the rogues poured in.

Chaos erupted instantly.

The pack members screamed, some running for the exit, others shifting into their wolf forms in a desperate attempt to protect the hall. But Kieran, my Alpha, didn't even flinch. His eyes flicked to Izzy, standing near the front of the room, and he immediately moved to shield her. I watched as he left me, his Luna, to fend for myself while he protected the woman who had been sleeping in his bed.

I barely registered the growls and the fighting around me. The rogues were everywhere, savage and hungry, tearing through the pack with brutal force. Every instinct screamed at me to shift, to fight back. But the energy in my body felt drained. I had nothing left but pain.

As the rogues advanced again, I turned to run but Kieran, my Alpha, the man I had trusted above all, was too busy shielding Izzy, leaving me to fight for my life.

How could he betray me like this? How could he abandon me when I needed him the most?

Back at the mansion, the chaos had subsided. The pack members who hadn't been killed or injured were gathering themselves, their blood staining the floors, their faces filled with fear. Izzy stood at Kieran's side, her fingers clutching his arm, her expression a mix of concern and satisfaction. She had succeeded in planting doubt in the pack's mind about Kara, and now, it seemed, the throne was within her reach.

"I don't understand," Izzy whispered, looking around the room. "Where is Kara? She should be here. Where did she go? Or maybe she was the mastermind behind the attack?."

Kieran's eyes flicked toward her, cold and distant. His anger was still simmering beneath the surface, but he kept it controlled, focusing on the task at hand. "I don't know," he muttered. "She's probably hiding, trying to run. Let her. The traitor doesn't deserve our help."

Izzy's brow furrowed. "But what if she's hurt? Or worse?"

"Then it's her fault," Kieran said, his voice hard. "She made her choice. She betrayed me. She betrayed all of us."

The icy bitterness in his words hit Izzy like a slap, but she didn't show it. Instead, she glanced around the room, trying to mask her true emotions with concern. "But what if the rogues took her? What if they...?" She didn't finish the sentence, but the implication was clear. Her voice was a soft, almost mocking tone, as if she was simply stating a fact. "It would be better that way, wouldn't it?"

Kieran's jaw clenched at the suggestion, but his expression hardened further. "We'll see. I'll have my guards find her. If she's still alive, I'll deal with her. If not, then the rogues will have done me a favor."

The guards had already begun scouring the mansion, but there was no sign of Kara. They checked every room, every closet, every corner. There was no trace of her.

One of the guards returned, breathless, his face pale with worry. "Alpha, Luna is not in the mansion. We've searched everywhere. She's gone."

Kieran stared at him for a long moment, his expression unreadable. "What do you mean, gone?"

"We couldn't find her, Alpha. There's no sign of her. We couldn't even smell her blood, no trail, nothing. She's vanished."

Kieran's eyes narrowed. Vanished. He should have felt something-relief, perhaps, but all he felt was frustration and the faintest hint of regret. But only a faint one. He couldn't afford to care about her anymore. Not after what she'd done. He shoved the feeling aside, pushing it down where it couldn't reach him.

Izzy stepped closer, her voice soft and insidious. "Maybe the rogues took her," she said, feigning concern. "You know, it wouldn't be the first time. She's weak. They probably saw an opportunity."

Kieran's eyes flicked to Izzy, and for a moment, there was something in his gaze that made her hesitate. But then he nodded, as though he were acknowledging her as more than just a potential ally. He was seeing the truth in her words. "Then we'll leave her to them. If the rogues want her, let them have her. She's no longer my problem."

Izzy smiled, the corners of her lips curving in a way that made her look more like a predator than a concerned woman. "Exactly. She was a liability anyway."

Kieran turned his back on the room and walked toward the door. "Send a team to patrol the perimeter. I don't want any surprises."

--

After everything, I could hear that there was silence everywhere and I ran into the woods, as I stopped, I fell to the ground and then I saw blood dripping down my white dress.

My baby, I lost it.

Chapter 3 003

The sun rose on a new day, casting a cold, indifferent light across the pack grounds. The morning's silence was suffocating, as though the world itself was holding its breath.

Kieran's voice thundered through the clearing outside of the mansion, commanding the attention of every pack member gathered there. His posture was tall, but the emptiness in his eyes told a different story, one of calculated malice. Beside him stood Izzy, her face a mask of feigned concern.

"I called you all here," Kieran began, his voice low but firm, "To explain what happened last night. To let you all know the truth."

The pack members fell silent, their attention now fixed solely in their Alpha, the leader.

"The rogues that attacked us last night didn't come by accident," Kieran continued, his eyes sweeping across the crowd, "They were sent. They were all sent by Kara".

The words hit like a slap. The room froze. Kara? The Luna? The woman who had fought alongside Kieran for years?

Kieran's lips curled into a smile, but it was hollow, lacking the warmth it should have had. "Yes. Kara is the one who orchestrated this attack. She arranged everything. She sent the rogues to destroy us."

A gasp echoed through the crowd. Murmurs, whispers, confusion. The pack members couldn't believe what they were hearing. How could Kieran say this about his own Luna? The woman who had stood by his side, who had been there when others had turned their backs?

But Kieran didn't pause. He was feeding them lies.

"I have known about this for some time," Kieran went on, his voice rising slightly as he spoke. "I allowed it to continue. I gave her the chance to prove herself, but she chose betrayal. Kara orchestrated the attack to weaken us, to destroy everything we've built. She was never fit to be Luna."

A collective gasp swept through the gathered pack members. Whispers spread like wildfire, their faces a mix of confusion and shock. Some of them, loyal to Kieran, struggled to comprehend what they were hearing. How could he accuse her of this? The very woman who had fought alongside him through thick and thin?

Kieran's eyes darkened as he surveyed the pack, watching the chaos unfold. "She has betrayed me, and she has betrayed all of you. She put every life in this pack in danger for her own selfish desires. That is not something I can ignore."

He let the words settle for a moment before continuing, his tone now as cold as the winter wind that howled around them.

"Kara will no longer be part of this pack. She will be banned. Forever, I reject her as my Luna."

The silence that followed was suffocating. A tension unlike any the pack had felt before hung in the air. The members exchanged uncertain glances, still reeling from the shock of the accusation. But no one dared speak against Kieran. He was their Alpha. He had to be right, didn't he?

Then, a voice broke through the silence, uncertain but full of raw emotion.

"Alpha, please," one of the pack members called out. "This can't be true. Kara has always been loyal. She has always been by your side. We owe her everything, she was a good Luna, she had fought alongside you in every battle, she has proven herself to be a true Luna."

The voice was soft, hesitant, but it spoke the truth that so many others in the crowd were too afraid to say. The pack had trusted Kara. She had been there, always working for the good of the pack. How could she have orchestrated such an attack?

But Kieran's eyes flashed with annoyance. "Loyalty? She's the one who allowed the rogues in! She has been planning this from the start, and she will be punished accordingly."

Another voice rose, another pack member, a woman who had been with the pack for as long as anyone could remember. "Alpha, please, don't be so hasty. Mercy. We should show mercy. Banish her, yes, but don't-don't do this. Don't make her an enemy of the pack."

Izzy stepped forward at that moment, her voice a low, silky murmur, a whisper meant only for Kieran. "Don't listen to them," she said, her tone laced with venom. "She doesn't deserve mercy. Forever is the best decision. Banish her forever. Let her live with the consequences of her actions. She doesn't deserve the pack."

Kieran's eyes flicked to Izzy, and for a moment, there was a subtle shift in his expression. His lips tightened, and he nodded almost imperceptibly, taking in her words.

The pack members watched in silence, their fate now tied to the decision Kieran would make. Their faith in him, their trust in his leadership, was slipping away with every word. They could feel it. The cracks were starting to show.

Finally, Kieran spoke again, his voice cutting through the murmurs like a knife. "I've made my decision. Kara will be banned from the pack for fifteen years. That is the punishment for her betrayal. I will not let her threaten this pack any longer."

The words hung in the air, final and damning. Fifteen years. The weight of that sentence was enough to crush anyone, to rip away everything that had once mattered. Fifteen years of exile, of being cast out, cut off from everything she had known.

The pack members stood in stunned silence. The murmurs of dissent died down, replaced by a growing sense of unease. Some were too afraid to speak up. Others were too loyal to Kieran to question him. But there were some whose eyes flickered with doubt, a glimmer of realization starting to form. Kara was innocent. She had been loyal. And Kieran, their Alpha, was a liar.

Izzy was smiling now, a thin, almost predatory smile. Her eyes gleamed with triumph as she leaned in closer to Kieran, her voice a soft purr. "You did the right thing, Alpha. The pack will respect you more for it. Kara was weak, and now she is no longer a threat."

Kieran didn't respond at first. His gaze swept over the crowd, watching as the pack members exchanged uneasy glances. He wanted their respect. He needed it. And he would have it, even if it meant sacrificing everything he once held dear.

Finally, he gave a slight nod, acknowledging Izzy's words. "You're right, Izzy. The pack will understand."
