Chapter 1 Spilled Secrets.

"ALIYAH MALVERN! PICK UP YOUR CALLS!"

That was the text message that had just entered her phone. For a minute, Aliyah stared at her phone, wondering why her best friend would decide to text her a message all in caps lock.

'What's up with Juliet?' Aliyah muttered to herself before dropping the phone on the bed and deciding to start dressing for school.

Just as she passed by the ceiling to ground mirror, she paused, standing before it, her lips soon stretched into a big smile, remembering the night before she bit her lower lip and moaned the name 'Justin'.

"Damn! I am such a bad girl." She blushed.

Closing her eyes to relive the moment from yesterday, ecstasy ran through her; she felt herself on cloud nine. Last night was the night she had given up the most precious thing, her cherished prize, her first night, not to any man but to her one and only, the love of her life, Justin Alward.

Yeah, you read that right... Justin Alward, the next CEO of the Alward group, is her boyfriend of three years.

"No way!" She exclaimed, snapping her eyes open. She had just remembered something.

"I can't wait to see forever with you, babe." Justin's words resonated within her, and she grinned all the more.

She was damn getting engaged!

With pride and arrogance, she waved her hand before the mirror, imagining that a beautiful ring was on it.

The ringing of Aliyah's phone brought her back to reality. She picked up the phone, a frown settled on her face, seeing it was Juliet, she wiped the answer icon.

"Juli-"

"Where the hell did you put your phone, Aliyah!" She yelled. Aliyah had to quickly put the phone at a distance, saving her eardrum.

With eyes rolling, she returned the phone to her ear and answered, "And a good morning to you, too, Juliet." Aliyah greeted, her eyes drifted to the wall clock, oh, she was already running late.

"Aliyah, you need to check YouTube right now, channel 334, you need to, now," Juliet said, urgency lacing her tone, making Aliyah wonder if everything was okay.

"Wha-"

"Now!"

And with that, the call ended. For a minute, Aliyah stared at her phone in utter confusion before doing as her best friend had said.

She paused her action when she noticed that the said channel had a lot of followers. She slowly sat at the edge of her bed and was about to click on the live video when a thought dropped into her mind.

.... Was Justin proposing to her on that channel ... During their lovemaking, he had actually hinted at marriage, she didn't want to push it so as not to scare him, because she can't afford to lose Justin, he was cute, handsome, sexy, romantic, oh goodness!

Her heart really can't bear all the happiness, he would propose to her! Oh goodness!

With great joy and a big grin on her face, she clicked on the channel.

Damn! Could this ever be more romantic!

The happiness she was feeling made her stand up and begin to pace around, ready to see her boyfriend in his beautiful and expensive tuxedo, looking all handsome and romantic for her, only her, then him on one knee with a bouquet of flower in one hand, a little box in another hand, with a beautiful smile on his face as he ask her the big question!

Damn! Aliyah!

But her pacing came to an abrupt stop, her smile slowly dropped as instead of Justin, Aliyah's eyes met with that very person that had made her whole life miserable after her father's death, her stepmother, Madam Priscilla, and beside her was her stepbrother, David, both were smiling broadly.

"Why the hell would Juliet tell me to tune in to this -" Her annoyance building up, her words got stuck as the headline written in bold italic font on the screen hit her vision, she quickly brightened her phone.

Must she have seen something wrong?

"Aliyah Malvern, the Malverns' first daughter, is a bastard, an illegitimate child. A child from a dirty secret affair."

Aliyah's heart dropped.

No!

This is not happening!

No! Tears began to sting her eyes, so she quickly increased the volume.

"Wow!," The presenter exclaimed, surprise written all over her face, obviously shocked by what she must have heard. "So you're saying that the first daughter of late Albert Malvern, the one he exceptionally dotes on, is an illegitimate child?"

Tears began crawling down her face as Aliyah remembered her late father, the man who was and will always be her hero. He loved and cared for her so much that, unknowingly, her stepmother and siblings grew jealous and hated her, which resulted in maltreatment, though they hated her, but in front of her father, they pretended to love her.

"Oh, no!" Her stepmother waved her hands to the camera. "Aliyah is a sweet child, and I promised my late husband to love and care for her just as he did. Please refrain from calling her that; her mother was just a wh*re, a bitchy chance seeker, that's all." She ended it with a smile on her face.

"Chance seeker?"

"Yeah," Though Aliyah's stepmother kept smiling, but Aliyah knew her stepmother well enough to know that was the smile she would give when she was about to downgrade someone. Aliyah has seen such smiles on her stepmother's face a lot of times.

"Albert was trying for a child, and she took her chance of being his secretary. It was easy for her; she got him drunk and had her way, but as I said earlier, Aliyah would always be my beautiful daughter. I love you, baby."

Her stepmother's words were so fake, they have always been a lie since her father's death. Once Aliyah had believed those words, she had faced the consequences of ill treatment.

"Hmmm... that's so kind-hearted of you." The presenter commended, "So now, we heard your son would be taking over both companies of the Malverns, and it's a general knowledge that before your husband's death, he publicly announced Aliyah as the CEO of one of the companies, a position she would assume after college."

Still with a smile, her stepmother answered, "Aliyah consented to giving it to her brother here, believing he is a better leader than herself." David smiled as he adjusted himself in his seat.

Aliyah blinked in confusion. Yes, her late father had publicly announced her ascension as the CEO of A. Malverns, she even had the documents to show for it, but never did she consent to give it to David, never.

What's going on?

"You must have trained her well."

"Of course I did, having a wh*re as a mother isn't one of the best options."

"I do agree." The presenter said, and the channel went on commercial break, Aliyah scrolled to the comment section, and in minutes, she burst into fresh tears.

*Wow! Never knew late Albert had a mistress*

*Such a homewrecker*

*Aliyah should be grateful for having a good step mother as, Madam Priscilla.*

*Aliyah is an illegitimate child, but wise since she gave her share to her brother*

Her heart couldn't bear it anymore, she threw her phone on the bed, and collapsed on the ground... crying helplessly because reality just dawned on her that her inheritance was just taken away, and now the whole world knew her secret.

She, Aliyah Malvern, is indeed an illegitimate child, a mistake that her stepmother and siblings often reminded her of. She was the result of a dirty affair between her father and his secretary, her mother.

And, no. She doesn't hate her late mother. Even before Aliyah's father died, which was when she was just sixteen, he told her every day how much he loved her mother, how amazing she was, how Aliyah looked so much like her, and how he missed her every single day because her mother had died during childbirth.

Aliyah tried to hold her tears, but they kept falling. Her phone began to ring. She struggled to get on her feet, seeing that it was Juliet, her best friend calling, she ended the call, she wasn't ready to talk to anyone but her. Aliyah needed comfort. She smiled as the thought of Justin invaded her.

"I love you, Aliyah, and absolutely nothing can come between us."

She smiled all the more as Justin's words rang in her head, assuring her that he was there for and with her, always. And now she really needed comfort, her very own comfort, Justin.

'I would go see my comfort, Justin.'

**

Though sad and with a face swollen from tears, Aliyah smiled as she stepped out of the elevator, punching in the password, which was her birthday date, and stepped in.

Her smile increased as the familiar atmosphere filled in on her. It was beautiful, and its city view was what made her love it more. Slowly, she moved over to see the beautiful night view. She smiled, her nerves relaxing.

"Oh," Aliyah mumbled. She had turned only to see two glass cups and a bottle of wine, which was halfway through.

"Seems he has a visitor." She fished out her phone from her bag to give him a call to say that she was around, and she is sure that even if he had visitors, he would still come to see her, even if she wouldn't be staying.

Right now, she just needed his comfort, his arms around her, telling her that she would be fine because he is right there with her, on her side.

As Aliyah was about to dial his number, her eyes fell on the red bag and then the red pairs of high heels that were on the ground, somehow those items were familiar... wait?

She moved forward to have a clearer view, her heart seemed to race as a little voice kept telling her something she didn't want to believe.

Her eyes widened in shock when she saw it, that inscription, that very signature inscription that Aliyah was all too familiar with.

She picked up one of the pairs, "Valerie." Aliyah called out, her lips trembling.

"Oh, Justin!" That all too familiar voice called, hearing the sounds of hurrying feet getting closer, Aliyah knew she needed to hide!

Aliyah quickly hid herself behind one of the couches. She pushed out her head, dizziness and a pang of headache hit her as she stared at the two individuals who had just gotten out of the bedroom..

No!

Chapter 2 Betrayed And Broken.

Aliyah could hear her heart break into a thousand pieces over and over again. She tried so hard to blink back her tears, but they just blurred her vision and kept crawling down her face.

She stared at her stepsister, Valerie, and her supposed comfort, her boyfriend, Justin, as they both kissed passionately, his hands finding their way to Valerie's breasts and caressing them.

Aliyah placed both hands over her mouth, trying to suppress the scream that was threatening to burst out. She tried her hardest not to make a sound.

"Justin," Valerie moaned softly. She slightly broke the kiss. Justin pouted, but his hands were still working on Valerie's breasts. "I have to go, I have to walk the runway tomorrow and then school.... Ah.." She moaned again with a smile.

Tears brimmed in my eyes.

"Stop, Justin," Valerie said. Aliyah could hear a gentle slap. She opened her eyes to see that Valerie had slapped Justin's hands away. "We would continue tomorrow."

Justin groaned, "Fine, but I am not letting you go tomorrow. I will have you all to myself, alright?"

Valerie nodded.

With a smile, Justin kisses Valerie's forehead.

"Break up with Aliyah."

Aliyah's knees trembled as she heard what her stepsister just said. Pain surged through her; she stared at Justin, and on his face was a smirk. The banging in her head increased.

"You're jealous?" He asked smugly.

Valerie rolled her eyes and hissed. She went to the other couch and grabbed Justin's white shirt.

"I can't continue like this," She slipped the shirt on and began to button up, "I mean, it's six months since we started this, and I fucking can't bear it when you tell me not to come over because of her."

'Six what!' Aliyah cried inwardly.

Six long months.

So for six months, Justin had been cheating on her with her stepsister?

Her so-called boyfriend, whom she thought they would have a future together, whom she thought loved her to the moon and back, to whom she gave her all, to whom? Had she been cheating on her?!

"Babe," Justin called, and for a minute, Aliyah thought he was calling her, but reality dawned on her faster than lightning that he wasn't. He walked towards Valerie, who had her back towards him, her hands folded. "You know that I have fallen out of love with your si-"

"Aliyah." Valerie cuts him off, "You know how much I hate you calling her my sister."

"I'm sorry," he apologized, his arms wrapped loving around her, "You know I no longer love her, since she always denied me of sex," he kissed the crook of her neck "and also since I knew the secret of her been an illegitimate child, a problem child, a child of a homewrecker, that's definitely not who I want to spend my life with."

Illegitimate child.

A problem child.

A child of a homewrecker.

Justin just called her...

Those words echoed multiple times in Aliyah's ears; her feet trembled, making her almost fall out of her hiding place. She had to place both hands on the ground to support herself.

"Well," Valerie turned to Justin, her face in a frown, "Well, she gave you her virginity already, have you now fallen back in love with her?" Her tone was filled with venom, which reminded Aliyah of her stepmother.

Wait?? Valerie knew about it? About her giving up her virginity to Justin?

Justin laughed, a mockery one, "You needed to be there, Aliyah's body irritated me a lot, her fat legs, her big stomach, her stretch marks,"

Those words stung her heart; it hurt so much that her lips trembled vigorously, she placed one of her hands over her mouth, and tears kept pouring out of her eyes.

"Her moans, screams were ..." Justin made a disgusted face. Valerie burst out laughing, to Aliyah's horror, Justin started mimicking how she sounded during their night together. Valerie's laughter increased.

'But he said ... Justin said I was doing well ... he said he loved my voice, he made me scream louder, he made me moan and scream his name ... he said my body made him mad, crazy, and he had always had wet dreams because of it... said my beauty was ravishing.. all was a ..'

'A lie.'

Aliyah thought bitterly.

"And the worst of it all," he paused, making Aliyah's heart race, "Her grape or should I say nut-sized titties." Valerie burst out laughing. Justin joined her.

"Aliyah can't be compared to me."

Justin nodded promptly, agreeing with Valerie.

Her pieced heart seems to break into smaller fragments, pain gnawed at her, and her head banged.

"Let's go take a shower, my love," Justin said. He raised Valerie's left hand and kissed it. Only then did Aliyah's eyes see the shiny object.

Valerie was wearing a ring, a beautiful one at that ... wait, did he-

"Can't wait to spend forever with you," Justin said happily, his happy eyes dancing in joy, those same happy eyes that Aliyah has come to love.

"Me too." Valerie planted a kiss on his lips, he swept Valerie off her feet, and in bridal style, he carried her to the room. Aliyah could still hear her stepsister's giggles.

Aliyah stood up from her hiding place, though she could feel pain shoot through her body, maybe because of how she had positioned herself behind the couch or the betrayal she just watched, she couldn't tell. She held the wall for support as she found her way out of the penthouse and out of the compound.

** Aliyah's Flashes **

"I am really gonna miss you, babe," I mumbled as I adjusted myself on Justin's lap.

We were at his penthouse. He had invited me over a few times before, but because of classes, I couldn't make it. But here I was now, well, I did skip a class to make it here, but it doesn't matter.

He tightened his arms around me, which somehow calmed my unspoken fears. He kissed me on my cheeks, and I blushed, "Me too, but you know it's time already, aren't you happy for me?"

I sighed, "Of course I am, just that after you graduate, you will become so busy as the next CEO of your father's company and some lady..." I trailed off, playing with the button on his shirt. I looked at him to see that he was also looking at me with a knowing smile on his face. "I am not jealous, well, just saying."

Well, the love of my life will be graduating soon. Sigh!

Justin chuckled and got up to his feet, also pulling me alongside. We stood facing each other. "It's obvious you are lying, your face is even red, my baby is jealous." He teased me.

Well... maybe a little... that's a lie, it's a whole lot, I'm jealous, a whole lot.

I bowed my head and facepalmed. I hit his chest playfully.

"It's true," I stared up at him, " ladies will be around you, you don't know what I went through seeing you with girls and all that."

Justin chuckled, "Well, they thought I was still single, and thanks to you, a lot of people believe I am single, all because my girlfriend here doesn't want our relationship to be public."

Though I also come from a rich family, that can't be compared to Justin's.

"Well, I didn't want our relationship to be subjected to any criticism, you know that."

"Of Course I do, and that's why I only have eyes for just one person." He said, pulling me closer to him.

With a twitch lip, I asked, "And who is that? If I may ask?"

With kisses on my face, nose, and forehead, "Aliyah Malvern, Justin Alward's girlfriend."

I blushed hard.

Justin engulfed me in a warm hug. I also wrapped my hands around him, his cologne enveloping me. "I love you." He said softly against my ear, giving me butterflies that flew wildly in my stomach. He kissed my ear, his mouth went to the back of my ear, and he also kissed it softly.

"Justin." I didn't know when I let out a moan.

"Damn! Aliyah." He kissed me on the lips; the kiss was hot, passionate, and somewhat told me of his desires, making me feel bad instantly.

His hands traveled slowly to my chest. I sucked in my breath, my body tensed up; it seemed he noticed, he stopped, I opened my eyes, staring guiltily at him.

"I-"

"No, it's fine, I will wait, I love you and respect your decision." He said with a smile, which assured me that he really did understand and still loved me.

"Thank you. I love you more."

**End**

*

"Everything is a lie," Aliyah muttered to herself.

'Aliyah Malvern is worthless.'

'Aliyah Malvern is ugly.'

'Aliyah Malvern is a troubled child.'

'Aliyah Malvern is a home wrecker's child.'

'Aliyah Malvern shouldn't be loved and will never be loved.'

Tears rushed down her cheeks; she couldn't feel herself anymore because now pain was all she could feel.

In just a day, the secret of her birth was revealed to the world, her inheritance was taken from her, and her boyfriend betrayed and cheated on her.

Her life is definitely ruined.

Chapter 3 Drowning in Sorrow

"1,2,3,4,5,6." Aliyah counted the shots before her.

She stared blankly at them, her vision blurred by tears. She desperately wished that everything was a dream.

the inheritance that was taken away from her, Justin's betrayal, she just wished they were untrue, but ... The memory of him and Valerie together, kissing, making out, was seared into her brain like a branding iron.

Aliyah wanted to scream, shout out her frustrations and sadness, but her body and mind were too weak to carry out that action.

Just as Aliyah was about to pick up a shot to start drowning her sorrows, her phone rang. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Justin's name on the caller ID. She hastily answered, hoping against hope that he had realized his mistake, that he loved her more, that he wanted to apologize and make things right.

"Aliyah."

Damn, the way he calls her name, even the butterflies she feels each time let loose in her stomach.

"Aliyah." He called again, "Are you there?"

"Yes." Her voice was barely above a whisper.

She heard him take a deep breath, sensing what he was about to do; her heart sank. "I'm breaking up with you, Aliyah. We are done, this relationship is over." His words punched her in the gut, her heart shattered, fresh tears flowed down her face, her hands trembled, making her drop the phone.

Though Aliyah has seen the scene played out in front of her, his words hurt more; it hurts as if a dagger was driven into her heart. Aliyah just couldn't bear it; she slowly picked up her phone.

Clearing her throat and trying to hide her shaky voice, "It's because of her, right? Valerie? Six months old relationship, right?"

"How did you–" He was sure beyond shock, "Aliyah, I-"

"Keep your stupid explanation to yourself, you bastard!" Now that she comes to think of this, she can't believe he was trying to explain. She has been nothing but faithful and loyal to him because foolishly she thought he loved her just as he always says.

Annoyance filled her, "You son of a bi*ch, you foolish jerk!" Aliyah yelled tearfully into the phone.

"For six whole months you cheated on me with mystepsister!" Damn! She was a fool for six months, a stupid fool.

"Well, well." Valerie mocked, "He doesn't want to have anything to do with you." Aliyah hears a kissing sound; Valerie must have kissed Justin, who reacted with a moan.

"Aliyah, put yourself in my shoes." Justin started with a frustrated sigh, "I can't be with a person that was a product of a dirty affair, an illegitimate child-"

"Justin, you said you loved me no matter what." Aliyah cuts in, reminding him of his promise to her, one of the very sweet promises.

"I can't, you might also turn out to be like your mother, you can never tell." The disdain and disgust that accompanied his words hit Aliyah square in the face.

"What?!"

He didn't just say that? The pain of betrayal surged through her times and times again; tears wouldn't just stop flowing down Aliyah's cheeks.

She heard Valerie's laughter.

"Baby," Valerie called.

"Hmmm," Justin answered lovingly.

"Tell her how much better I am," Valerie paused, again Aliyah could hear the sound of kisses, "In your bed, in your life, and even in your business."

"Valerie is a legitimate child; her connection to the modeling industry is best for me and my company and me, and most importantly, she is good in my bed."

Both their laughter echoed. Aliyah bit her inner cheeks, clenched her fists, "I hate you."

"Of course, sister, remember you are a child that should remain behind the shadows, someone so dirty and full of shame, a product of a mistake, a dirty secret, how would the soon-to-be CEO of Alward's Group stand you being by his side?"

Silence descended. Those words hit Aliyah hard. Still with the phone pressed to her ears, she placed her head on the counter. She couldn't cry anymore; the misery and agony she felt were more than her tears could handle.

"Move on, Aliyah. I have moved on, on with Valerie." He said with finality in his voice, and with that, he hung up.

And so Aliyah started, downing her sorrow shot after shot while only just staring into space.

She drank until she was numb, her heart kept shattering into a million pieces a million times. Aliyah could hardly feel herself, her senses dulled by the alcohol and the anguish.

Finally, she grabbed her keys and stumbled towards the elevator, heading to the room she had booked earlier, dragging her drunk self towards it, not caring how many times she fell and struggled to stand up.

"2...4...7," She slurred, reading out the number on the door with half-closed eyes, sleep was already knocking.

Inserting the key card to open the door, but what she didn't notice was that the door was not locked; she only sighed and staggered in.

Aliyah made her way to the bed, stripping off her clothes until she was in her underwear.

She was slowly drifting off to unconsciousness when she heard faint footsteps. She tried to raise her head to see, but she was too tired to.

"You're here." The baritone said, the alluring tone made her peek at who it was, and her blurry vision landed on a figure.

A very handsome figure, a tall one at that, she dared say more handsome than Justin. This is a sexy god, featured with a strong and chiseled jawline, radiant brown irises stared at her.

Her eyes tiredly traveled down his chest, and damn, his chest was a work of art, with intricate tattoos that seemed to dance across his skin.

"Delicious," Aliyah whispered as she struggled to stand on her feet, "You look delicious."

A beautiful laughter entertained her ears. "You think so?" Amusement coasted his words.

"Yupppp." She smiled faintly, her eyes went further north, though a towel was wrapped around his waist, but she could catch the faint imprint down there.

He walked towards her, "You are drunk." He said as he arranged her disheveled hair, his touch gentle and filled with care, brushing the hair behind her ears away from her face, giving him a clearer view.

"Beautiful," he whispered satisfyingly to her ears, his voice low and husky, pulling wetness in a particular part. She lifted her tired eyes to see his hungry gaze fixated on her.

That gaze did things to her; the gaze not only told her she was wanted but made her feel it. Wanted.

Aliyah's hands slowly traced his inked torso, his hands relaxed on her waist but as they touched her ornament, her waist chains, he inhaled sharply and muttered "Fu*k!" before he started to play with them, his fingers moving seductively along her waist causing goosebumps all over her body, his moving hands were increasing her wetness, the urge for him to enter increased.

"You're turning me on, Ocean." He said slowly to Aliyah's ears, his lips touching her ears, his lips further moved to her neck, he suckled on it, and she released a moan.

Overwhelmed by the alcohol and the newfound passion that surged through her. Aliyah crashed her lips into his. She pulled his towel off, and her underwear also found its way to the ground.

And in a moment, Aliyah forgot about Justin, about the pain and the heartache. All that filled her head was the beautiful and heavenly pleasure that engulfed her.
