Rena has lived in this palace for almost a decade. Enjoy day by day being a devotee to Alpha Jonathan and also Luna Irene. They are both a couple the people of the pack love because they have high integrity and leadership.
But, amid the happiness that hit, some people feel jealous of the perfection of the palace family. Rena had heard from one of the waitress' friends that Alpha Nickholas-the son of Alpha Jonathan-actually had a twin, Nickley. Nickley was killed by his brother's lover, Cecilia Zera. Which heart doesn't break when a sibling is tragically killed by someone they love so much.
Yes, it is a piece of a tragic story that is tightly closed by the residents of this pack.
While lost in thought, Rena wiped the washed dishes. However, because her hands were slippery, she did not realize that she had dropped them and caused a commotion in the palace kitchen.
"I told you, Rena, work carefully!" A stocky woman in the same clothes as herself shouted loudly.
"I'm sorry, Madam. I'll clean up this mess," Rena replied and immediately picked up the broken glass.
However, Rena's answer did not make Madam Morin's anger subside. The old woman even stepped on Rena's hand and walked away. Even the other omegas didn't want to help.
Slightly grimacing, she pulled out the broken glass stuck in ers hand and took it to the sink to clean the wound. She tried to hold back, but the unwanted tears fell as well. She doesn't want to be seen as weak, especially in front of her friends, who always gossip about her. She immediately wiped the damn clear liquid.
Even though she's an omega, there's nothing wrong with protecting herself, let alone her heart. She was quite satisfied with the actions of the head of the kitchen and the other occupants. For more than nine years, she had enjoyed it all.

"You are not good at work, huh!" Her body was pushed hard, causing her forehead to hit the edge of the table, and her head was dizzy for a moment. She was quickly forced to get up and scattered black hair that had been neatly rolled up. Her head hurt as her hair was pulled tightly by Wendy. The others could only watch without any intention of separating.
"What happened?!" Madam Morin, who suddenly appeared, pulled Wendy's body to stop the feud.
"She can't even clean the floor, Madam. I slipped because the floor was too wet." With a fiery tone, Wendy explained the chronology of events.
Those words made Rena's slanted eyes widen. She was sure she had dried it earlier, but why did Wendy fall.
"Enough! Back to work, everyone. And you Rena don't have any more for dinner!" A crushing punishment, who can resist? Again. The punishment that he thinks is already attached.
Then, Rena looked up at the black moonlit sky. It's not completely full yet, but its light can replace the sun. Slowly, she closed her eyes to enjoy the weak sting. Werewolves like them always felt electric shocks running through their bodies when they were hit by that light.
"Don't you have any work other than sleeping on this garden bench, hm!" That sneer entered Rena's eardrums. She quickly opened her eyes and was nervous when she found out who was standing in front of her eyes.
It's not that she doesn't have a job. It's just that it's time for the maids to have dinner, and she's currently serving her sentence, right?
"Be-Beta Romeo." She lowered his head and hurried to her feet to enter the mansion.
"I'm sorry... I'll go inside." With hasty steps, Rena left Romeo.
"What if I reject you, Rena?"
The footsteps came to a halt, and her shoulders shook slightly. Rena clutched her chest in pain. Romeo has said it many times, but why is the effect always the same.
With a bit of a limp, she gave herself strength. Rena left Romeo alone with clenched fists.
Rena entered her shabby room, a room measuring only two by three meters with a skinny mattress. The building for the maids is separate from the palace. The house she lived in was luxurious, but Madam Morin gave her a very stuffy former warehouse room.
She stared at the white ceiling. Beta Romeo always said that even though she already felt too much pain due to the man's words. She knew the reason why Beta Romeo hated her was because she had been a rogue. Beta Romeo is the guy who hates caste rogue the most. How could they not? They can only destroy a peaceful and peaceful pack into shattered if they are acting up.
That man, one of Alpha's confidants, takes care of the peace of the pack and concurrently becomes a Beta with all his affairs. No kidding about tasks and beliefs, Beta Romeo does all those tasks nicely without the slightest error. There was only one task that he had been unable to do well so far: sterilizing the palace with the rogue who had lived here for years, Rena.
Her eyes were closed, eliminating all the shadows and pain in her stomach.
***
"Dear Rena, did you make me a half-baked omelet? Ah... yes, I mean soft on the inside."
Rena, who felt stroked, could only look down. She missed this touch. Like the caress of a mother's love for her child.
"Okay, Luna." Rena quickly gave Luna Irene what she wanted. She didn't want to make another mistake considering she was the culprit in the kitchen. Even though Luna Irene will never give a sadistic slur out of her mouth, Rena still doesn't want to disappoint.
"What happened, and what's wrong with your forehead?" Luna Irene exposed the hair hidden by the bruises. Rena suddenly retreated to the dining table and tidied it up again.
"It's okay, Luna. I'm just not being careful at work. Is there anything you'd like more?" asked Rena, the topic of conversation.
"No, you can go and continue your work," said Luna while swinging. She would give Rena more time because she was still open to being open.
***
"Fuck!" Romeo couldn't understand why so many rogues were hanging around his territory. Somehow they managed to escape when the guard was so tight.
"Danny, get troops from the north and bring them together. I'm going to the west with Jack and Albert!"
"Okay, Beta." While getting ready. "Shouldn't we tell Alpha first, Beta?" Danny asked.
"Don't! Let us take care of ourselves. If there is something urgent and we can't handle it, we immediately think of Alpha."
Albert sighed in exasperation. This matter has entered the realm of difficulty. But Beta no wants to complain to Alpha. Typical Romeo.
"Jack, you split up West with Albert and the others. I'll take them there. I'm sure they'll never get away." While the others followed Romeo's instructions because the other warriors believed in his Beta abilities.
"Make them toys before you kill them," added Romeo with a sharp grin. Behind his friendly and friendly demeanor, he never plays around when someone interferes with his work.
Jade has taken over Romeo's burly body. The brown wolf splits the forest. His face really couldn't bear to play with his prey. The big body was getting faster and faster, leaving dry leaves that flew after being stepped on.
His nose was too sensitive to smell the sickening scent. "I'm three kilometers from you guys," Jade said to his teammates.
Jade increasingly saw the three Rogues, which he believed to be in a state of anxiety, waiting for his presence. His feet strolled and stalked those who did not know he was hiding behind a tree at this time.
You are wrong when you confront me. With a single move, Romeo claws at his enemy's eye in two at once and instantly gushes out fresh blood. Jade grinned in horror at the tear. Too light for the intruder in the pack.
The red wolf did not accept it when his friend became the target of the Beta. He quickly gave Jade a scratch on his face and ended up blank. Jade dodged first without any significant resistance.
Jade and Romeo responded calmly to the growls of the three wolves. They were too confident they could fight it alone. With a snap, Jade's hand was already on the red wolf's back. The distinctive roar of pain that was not complicated made him feel sorry for him and even spurred the adrenaline in him.
Jade casually left them by running slowly. His face was grinning because this was the time.
Feeling the heat behind her, Jade dashed off to let them catch up to her. "You guys get ready."
"We've been waiting too, Beta."
Jade dodged as the three wolves tried to lunge at his back. "Stupid."
Hearing Beta's words, the red wolf became more and more brutal in trying to find an opening to hurt Jade. The scratch of the red wolf's claws lightly hit Jade's ankle, but it didn't slow down his movement.
Soon.
Jade finally found another rogue. Who knew how many there were? He didn't have time to count. He only focused on the three wolves who had now entered his trap.
After arriving, Jade ran around to take a predetermined position. The rogues also cursed not believing that they had been toyed with like this. They were soon to be eaten by the soldiers who had surrounded him, trying to figure out how to escape the trap.
Jade walked over to the red wolf known to be their pack's leader. Jade roared in his face to show the existence of who was in power now. Unprepared, Jade scribbled all his paws on the red wolf's body, as did the other soldiers. Even though Jade and the others knew they would win, a fight was inevitable. But still, rogues are rogues. They are destroyers.
At that last second, Jade also took the red wolf's heart and threw it in any direction. Screams and moans of pain ignored them. The only thing Jade wanted was to slash the rogues that were in his realm completely.

"Are you all right, Rome?" Albert slightly grimaced when he saw Romeo limping.
"Get on my back," Albert offered when he wanted to change himself. Romeo just smiled, hearing his friend was very worried.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Just a small scratch." Albert and Jack said goodbye when AlphaJonathan approached him.
"What's wrong with your leg, Rome?"
Romeo bowed his head while saluting his Alpha. He winced slightly at the feeling of his leg cramping. "Earlier, a group of rogues stopped in our area, Alpha. But we've fixed them." The smile of enthusiasm and satisfaction is still etched on Romeo's face. Yes, he is delighted today.
Alpha Jonathan warmly patted the head of his little Beta, considered his own child. He was very proud of Romeo. The man deserves to be side by side with Nickholas. The right mix.
"Rena, come here!" Jonathan, who saw Rena not far from him-watering the flowers-calls to come closer. Without thinking twice, Rena turned the faucet and put the water hose to approach the two men of different generations.
"Can I help you, Alpha?" Rena said without looking at Romeo, who had turned her face away.
"I'm asking you for help; treat Romeo. He just fought a rogue."
Rena, who had just heard Jonathan's explanation, heart throbbed in pain. The man always fought and would always win. Rena saw Romeo's injured right leg. It wasn't big but deep enough that her blood was almost dry.
"Okay, Alpha, I'll take medicine first," Rena said.
Romeo sighed with relief when Jonathan had left him on the garden bench. He closed his eyes for a moment enjoying the afternoon breeze.
It's been two days since Alpha Nickholas left the pack for urgent business. Like it or not, the pack is his responsibility even though Alpha Jonathan is helping. But still, he couldn't get hung up on Alpha Jonathan too often.
His eyes opened as the girl approached with a basin and box in hand.
"Sorry."
Romeo felt his feet placed on the bench, and Rena kneeled down to align her body so that she could reach Romeo's feet. Romeo, who saw that, could only stare in silence. His feet were being cleaned by a maid who didn't want to look her in the eye.
"Rena Schaaci."
Rena, who heard her name, stopped stroking Romeo's feet and squeezed the white cloth that had turned red.
"You know what, Rena? What are you like in my eyes, hm?"
Rena, who was listening, tried to ignore Romeo's words and preferred to sprinkle the green powder over the Beta's wound. Rena carefully put the cotton so that the powder is completely covered.
Her hand gracefully covered the wound on Romeo's muscular leg with white gauze.
"Rubbish. You are trash in my eyes, Rena."
It was enough for Rena to hold back her tears. Her chest hurt too much when she heard the taunts and even insults that Beta Romeo threw at her. Wiping the tears still flowing, she continued to carefully bandage the wound, not wanting Romeo to feel pain. Her fingers trembled even more as he twirled the nearly exhausted gauze as a final act.
Rena's treatment could not be separated from Romeo's sharp eyes. Her face wrinkled even more until his thick eyebrows came together. Rena wept silently without a sound, only the tears that still faithfully showed her were occasionally wiped away by those thin hands.
"Are you still too confident to stay here, huh?!"
Rena stood carrying the equipment without looking at Romeo. "This has been completed. I will go and continue my work, Beta."
Once again, Romeo was left alone by that frail back with a puffy face and eyes.
***
Already not knowing what Romeo was doing, he always saw the insults and insults that other maids threw at Rena. He is the same. They are no different. He sighed exasperated, thinking it had been years, yet it was not over. Rena always does not reply to what she has heard. The woman was always silent without a response. As if he was destined to be deaf.
His palm opens and closes with a slow duration. Stretch the stiff muscles. The hand that had killed who knows how many hundred rogues in the last ten years. Was he able to also kill Rena using his hands, considering that the girl was once a rogue?
He could see the closed girl who was always alone without any friends. Won't make a sound if you don't ask. Romeo also actually won't deny Rena's beautiful charm. The eyes are different from the others, the skin is white, and the face is always down. Don't forget that skinny body.
"How do I get rid of her, Jade?"
The wolf who was asked just sighed in resignation. Yes, they have the same character. I wanted to eliminate Rena long ago. "I don't know, Rome." That's all Jade said if Romeo was tired of looking for ways that didn't even work. Because he never started.
Did Rena never give up and think about her heart which always hurts every day because of the people in this palace. The woman should just give up and get out of this pack by mingling with humans. That would get the job done, and no blockage still stuck in his mind.
He still remembered nine years ago, precisely on the west side of the guard area where the little girl was found by his warrior.
"What a little girl in the West. Can you come here?" Romeo, training with the other warriors, immediately rushed to Jack.
"Keep her there, Jack."
Who's the little girl who dares to enter her territory alone without caring for her parents. If she is a rogue, he doesn't hesitate to kill her immediately.
Romeo saw the little girl sitting on the ground with Jack and Theo. He saw Jack and Theo giving food to the girl while chatting. He frowned even more as his chest pounded and cold sweat trickled down his forehead.
Romeo walked over to them slowly. His eyes still focused on the girl's strangely narrow eyes. "Where did you find this little girl?" The deep baritone voice startled Rena. Without even suspecting that the food in her hand fell. She inched backward toward the side of the tree for cover. A frightened and red face made Romeo even more irritated at the girl.
"Beta, we found it here." Jack immediately stood up, followed by Theo.
Romeo stared intently and observantly at the girl. The yellow dress was torn everywhere, and there was a lot of dirt on it. Is it true that this girl is a wild wolf, but if not, why is there no characteristic aroma pack wafting on this girl's body?
Romeo immediately took out a dagger in his trouser pocket, making the little girl even more scared and sobbing softly.
"No-no... please don't kill me...."
If he had killed Rena in the first place without Beta Christopher knowing, it was certain that he would never see that pale white face again.
His heart throbbed in pain at the thought of it all.
His eyes wandered wildly around the room. He is not a hypocrite and also a good man. At age three, he wants the perfect maid always ready to give him satisfaction. Moreover, he had never felt what worldly pleasures were, unlike Alpha Nick, who was used to feeling it all with different women.
"Mom, they say my eyes are weird." The thirteen-year-old little girl sulked at her mother. She did not accept it because her friends in her village always ridiculed her.
The mother could only smile as her hands picked fruit in the garden.
"What a strange thing. Aren't my eyes unique, huh?" She occasionally ate the fruit that her mother had picked in the basket.
"Your eyes are unique, Rena. Because you have eyes like your grandmother. Asian mother. You already know, right?" Rena's mother walked to look for ripe grapes, her hands painstakingly cutting the stems of the fruit. Rena, who saw her mother took the scissors from the basket and tried to help.
"Take the purple one. Leave the green ones." Rena immediately obeyed the instructions without any rebuttal.
"But Ben's eyes are not like mine, Mom?" It turns out that this problem still persists.
Yura, who saw her daughter's back, couldn't help but sigh. The little girl with double braided black hair covered in a rattan hat always had a problem with her eyes, even though not everyone can have eyes like that. But many are insulting and even mocking her as proof that he is not normal. Shouldn't that be a gift in itself?
"Enjoy what you've been given, Honey. Thank God we can still live without any flaws."
Little Rena could only mumble. The ego that had always been inside her was disturbed again. Her friends at school and at home always insulted her. Some said her eyes were weird, and some said she was a vampire because her skin was pale. She's not a vampire but were... oops! Rena smacked her mouth in exasperation. Her parents had warned her not to let the identity of the family be known.
They prefer to live in villages and stay away from all kinds of groups-packs-and mingle with humans. Her mother used to say that humans were much more fun than a group of werewolves.
"Mom, daddy, and Ben aren't home yet?" Her hand held her mother's clothes until she reached the yard.
"I don't think so. Maybe the wood hasn't collected much.
"Would you like to come with me to Uncle Gill's house to sell grapes?" Her mother brought a cart filled with grapes that had been harvested since yesterday.
Rena, who was giving her favorite pet food with a leaf, shook her head. "I want to take care of my Didi first, Mom." The long-eared beast just kept on chewing what Rena offered her.
"Then you wait here, Rena. Don't go to the river. It's dangerous!"
"You've told me a thousand times, in case you forgot." Rena carried the white furry animal. In fact, she wanted to take a bath on the river bank. Moreover, her brother Ben always invited her even though it was just an empty offer.
Rena looked ahead to see the flow of the Rhine, which was quite far from her yard. The longest river crosses several European countries.
Sankt Goarshausen, to be precise, in the village of Wellmich, Germany. A village with a population of about a thousand people with beautiful views and high hills. One of the incomes of the residents of this village is wine. A wine that later became one of the most expensive drinks Germany had.
"Rena!" Girls of the same age approached Rena and crouched down to give Didi a leaf. "Have you done your homework?"
Rena took off her rattan hat and put it on the grassy ground. Put Didi in her cage and close it tightly. "Come on, please, I'm smart." A grin that made her eyes look just a line made Harriet frown.
"Can you teach me, Ren?" Harriet begged for pity while rocking Rena's body, who was already sitting on the long bench.
Rena, who heard her friend's request, thought by tapping her chin. "But there are conditions. How?"
Harriet, who was also sitting on the bench, nodded in agreement. Anything will be fulfilled if the annoying teacher doesn't scold her.
"Still be my friend Harry." Rena raised her eyebrows. Making Harriet stare in disbelief, was it that easy?
"I'm your friend, after all," Harriet remembers that not all her peers are willing to accept Rena. Harriet held Rena's hand and said, "I will always be your friend forever." And Rena took that as a promise to death.
***
On Monday morning. Who loves Mondays? Where everyone is required to start activities. Rena scowled in annoyance as she ate the bread already served on the plate.
"Ben, I'll go with Harriet later, okay?" Rena pleaded.
"Why don't you want to be with me?" Ben added chocolate jam to his bread.
"I just wanted to talk to Harriet. Yes, talk to her."
"Okay."
Without waiting any longer, she immediately said goodbye to Mom and Dad and took her backpack.
"You know, Ren. Brandon yesterday said he loved Ursula." Rena, who heard the story from Harriet, stopped her steps and was shocked.
"How could that be!? Brandon is the same age as my brother, and Ursula is our age. They were far apart. Imagine Harry, five years. Brandon is such a pedophile, huh." Rena couldn't understand how her brother's friend could love a girl who was far below his age. They are little teenagers who are about to grow up but still feel weird.
"Name is love, Rena. Let them make love at a young age." Yes, Harriet is a melancholy human. Rena agreed to that.
'Don't let my mate age who is far above me.' Rena shuddered at the memory of it all.
***
"Hey, weird eyes. You should have had an operation that made your eyes look like normal humans." Elisha laughed happily and greeted the other friends.
Rena, who saw and heard that just rolled her eyes in disgust and turned the book she was still reading even though she wasn't focused.
"Don't you have the money to do the surgery?" Elisha twirled her wavy blonde hair. She was embarrassed if she had to be like this, but if she got angry, she was afraid that she could not be controlled.
"Elisha the Drama Queen, please be quiet for a moment. My ears hurt to hear your nagging mouth from a long time ago. After all, the operation should be you, seeing as you can never memorize lessons properly."
Decisive.
Screams of screams, whistles, and insults from classmates made Elisha silent. She could not understand that Rena could embarrass herself in an instant. With emotion and blushing, Elisha walked out of the classroom accompanied by two maids-eh, her friends.
***
Rena smiled faintly as she remembered the incident she would never forget in her life. Her childhood made her seem selfish because her words didn't mean to offend Elisha in the slightest. After that incident, Elisha never wanted to talk again and even mocked her, but not the other friends. They still mocked her. Irritating.
She should have apologized to Elisha and made a good friendship. But after remembering that Elisha was the number one person who always insulted her, he had never made an apology until now.
Rena sighed. The good memories are not where everyone still wants to play with her but in a different way.
"Luna."
"Come here!" Luna Irene brought Rena to sit on the sofa and opened the pink package.
There was a beautiful white dress decorated with a ribbon around her waist. Making Rena look amazed by the scene in front of her. "It's so beautiful, Luna." She couldn't hold it in her eyes and just looked like she didn't want the dress to get dirty because of it.
"You like it?" Luna Irene was happy to see Rena's reaction. Rena nodded without taking her eyes off.
"Then this is for you." Luna Irene put the dress into a paper bag and gave it to Rena. Rena, who saw the paper bag, just shook her head and didn't accept it. How could Luna give her such a luxurious dress?
"Take it, Rena. This is an order!" Firm. It was the first time Luna Irene spoke to her like that, making Rena gasp and her hands tremble.
"Wear this dress tonight. It will be my wedding anniversary. You already know that, right?!" Without accepting Rena's rejection, she stood up and walked proudly, leaving Rena still staring at the shirt blankly.
Irene wasn't angry with her. She didn't want to see Rena, who always closed and cornered herself. She always watched the girl, the girl she loved like her own child. If only Jonathan allowed Rena to be fostered as an adopted child, we can be sure that Rena would always be happy.
The moment when Rena came into her pack area caused an uproar throughout the palace because a rogue was allowed to live in it. But it was an absolute order from Jonathan, and Christopher agreed. If Rena does not want to be killed, she must become a servant for this palace.
"But she's a kid, Jo." Irene sobbed, seeing Rena's tattered clothes, which were unfit to wear.
"Yes or no, Irene!" How can a small child make himself and his wife fight?
Irene held Rena's shoulder, looking at her empty eyes as if she was ready to be executed at any moment.
"We don't know what she will do one day, considering she is a rogue." Jonathan is always thoughtful. He didn't want any trouble in his area.
"I could tell she was a good girl, Jo. You can feel it too, right, Honey." Irene was already crying. She couldn't believe that if her husband would make Rena a servant at a young age, Rena should have received an education.
Jonathan sighed tiredly as an Alpha was assigned to guard his property against all kinds of harm. But when viewed from the side of his parents, he could not have the heart to let Rena become a maid at a young age. "Let her learn like any other maid girl. Tell Morin not to be so hard on Rena because she is still a child. You can monitor it from afar, Irene. And also don't show the injustice between Rena and the others."
"When she grows up, make her a personal maid for the Nickolas." Without rebuttal from his wife, he left Irene, who was hugging Rena's body.
Irene couldn't argue anymore. Jonathan's orders were fair to Rena.
The atmosphere of the palace seemed bustling. Many family members and relatives attended. By using an all-black and white concept, this party looks luxurious and elegant.
It turned out that not only Rena herself wearing a dress, other maids also wore it. They match the white clothes, but the motifs are different. Maybe Luna Irene wanted to make this night perfect. But Rena knew that the dress Irene gave was very different from the others, was it special.
Instantly her confidence faded, she did not deserve to wear luxurious clothes like this. She should be just like everyone else. But if she didn't wear it, Luna Irene could be really angry.
"Rena... Rena... Rena." Wendy proudly stood in front of Rena and looked at the dress from top to bottom. Her eyes widened as Rena's dress was different from hers. Even though both are from Luna Irene's gift.
"Where did you get this fancy dress from?" Her hand touched the white cloth and felt the softness there.
Rena suddenly backed away not letting her clothes be soiled by Wendy's hands.
"Luna Irene."
The short answer made Wendy's hands clench and her face turn red. She left Rena without wanting to get involved any further. The sound of pounding heels filled the ears and was ignored. Let Wendy assume with her own mind.
Rena stepped into the main room which was used as tonight's event. The space that has been transformed into the most beautiful place dominated by black and white. Her heels wearing not too high looked for the king and queen in this way. She want to congratulate and apologize to Luna Irene about what happened this afternoon. Her eyes wandered around the room, the room was already filled with guests and relatives.
"Rena, you are so beautiful."
A deep voice interrupted, she saw Theo looking her up and down. The man with the long hair tied up smiled amusedly.
"Thank you, Theo." Rena slightly pulled her lips, her eyes were still looking for Luna Irene.
"You're looking for Luna Irene?" the man asked.
Only a mutter answered Theo's words.
"Alpha and Luna haven't been seen since. Maybe still getting ready." Rena looked at Theo's brown eyes and nodded her head, then walked away from Theo without another word.
Theo was furious to see the maid's behavior, what a girl who did not understand ethics. He had been nice to say hello but the girl's reply made him hold back his emotions.
***
Rena looked at the middle-aged couple who were laughing as they cut a white cake that was about a meter high. You can see the look on Luna Irene's face is very happy side by side with Alpha Jonathan. Every year they do this event, but maybe this year is a special year. Where all the guests wear the same clothes as well as the waiters. No caste seen at this time, all the same.
Rena pursed her lips as she smelled the cinnamon scent that was approaching her. Her heart always beats when the man shows his existence when he is not far from her. She eyes were still looking straight ahead, letting the thoughts and turmoil that had resided. She's used to it.
"They always look happy." The deep voice filled Rena's eardrums after a few minutes the man stood beside her.
Rena confirmed that it was the truth.
"Are you happy?"
Rena slightly frowned at Romeo's question.
"In the nine years you've been here, I've never felt that happiness again, Rena. You've changed me."
Rena stroked her bare arms, sending a little warmth. When faced with this man, she was always like being scalded by ice water, very painful. Rena didn't answer, she listened more and more to what Romeo had to say.
"Aren't you satisfied with torturing me like this?" Romeo's soft voice froze Rena's body. Was she really torturing Romeo all this time? Isn't it the other way around.
"Go Rena. Don't you show that pathetic face of yours in front of my eyes again." The voice grew sadder.
Rena was still looking straight ahead, seeing Luna Irene feed the cake she had cut to her son, Alpha Nickholas.
"I always remember your words, Beta Romeo. There are times when I go from your presence on demand. The moment that happened you might never see me again was different." Rena walked over to Luna Irene, wiping the tears that had fallen.
Romeo's chest throbbed in pain, his hand squeezing the tuxedo hard. Will Rena comply with his request? Was he ready if the girl really left him on demand?
Since then he had noticed Rena who was standing alone without anyone wanting to greet her. He is a little proud, Rena looks very beautiful tonight with a dress that fits her body. He hurriedly approached the girl wanting to give a compliment. But unfortunately, the heart and mouth can not be in harmony. He hurt her again with sharp words. Words that also hurt the deepest heart.
Romeo took the glass filled with alcohol and drank it quickly. He had to clear his mind again. The man hurriedly left the party and went into the forest to calm himself.
***
Romeo is alone enjoying the quiet atmosphere. The evening breeze made the leaves in the lush forest float slightly. He left the Palace to calm down and didn't want to get too involved with the frenzy of the party, not really deafening but enough to make Romeo's chest tight.
Not because of the party but the girl.
In the past he was believed to be the strongest Beta after Beta Christopher with all tactics and careful planning. But as time went on he grew less and less self-conscious.
The two buttons of his shirt had been undone, his white shirt had been rolled up to his elbows showing his tough muscles showing. A little jolt he hit the old tree until it made his knuckles red. The old tree that he and other friends used as a tree house is one of his favorite places. From up there he could see and even monitor the surroundings. A large tree with lush leaves seemed to hide the stopover.
"Bro," someone called from downstairs, carrying grapes and throwing them at Romeo.
Romeo, who was surprised but because of his good reflexes, didn't let his favorite fruit fall and smashed to the ground. He groaned in annoyance and cursed.
"You didn't have to follow me this far, Jordan."
"I'm only worried about you. Is it wrong?" asked the twenty-seven-year-old man. He easily joined the climb up the tree.
Romeo snorted as he ruffled Jordan's hair. "Jordan..." Romeo stared far ahead imagining something.
"Did you ever imagine what it would be like if you became a rogue and mingled with humans all the time?"
A question that made Jordan flinch and look at his brother in confusion. "You never thought about getting out of the pack, did you, Bro?" Jordan asked warily at Romeo's unreadable expression.
Romeo just chuckled this was just a joke and a question that stopped in his brain. Never once did he intend to leave the pack and everything. Maybe in comparison, he would rather die than leave the pack. Packyang has raised his name and family.
"Anyway, for what reason did I leave the pack and become a lowly rogue?" Romeo ate the grapes slowly.
"You're too old-fashioned. Not all werewolves who mingle with humans are true rogues. And not always the rogue disturbs the pack to make a mess. Many of them deliberately ask the Alphas for permission to go and live side by side with humans," Jordan explained.
"As time goes on, you don't always become like this, Moongoddess created us side by side with them so that we are not too greedy and neither are they," he added.
Romeo is stunned, is he that naive?
"Try to remember, when was the last time you left the Black Forest for your own pleasure with no frills errands you got? When was the last time you mingled with humans again for a long period of time?" Jordan looked at his brother. "It's been a long time, hasn't it, the last time you were in school."
Right, what his brother said was true. Romeo is too late for the loyalty that has been nurtured. The task that had been there every second for the last ten years made him too late and forgot about his own pleasure.
"I didn't envy you when you were chosen by Alpha Jonathan to be the strongest candidate for the Beta candidate, but what I'm afraid of is that you're turning into a ruthless man... like you are now. You and Alpha Niccholas are the perfect mix." Jordan sneered as he lay down.
He remembered, when he had graduated from school and at that time was eighteen years old, Romeo and the others were randomly selected by Alpha Jonathan to be the strongest candidate to accompany the next Alpha candidate-Niccholas.
The choice was because Beta Christopher had no sons and only had one child, Miss Noella.
"I have some of the strongest candidates who will accompany Alpha Nickholas in his future becoming a Beta." Jonathan spoke in front of a group of teenage boys who were playing swords in the palace courtyard.
Everyone there just looked at each other and listened to the continuation.
"What's interesting is that Alpha Nickholas himself selected the candidates." Jonathan who saw Nicholas could only put on a flat face.
"Danny, Theo, and Romeo. Prepare yourself from now on, because you will be guided for two years to develop yourself. One of you will be chosen to be Beta and accompany Nickholas. After that, the Alpha and Beta candidates will receive special lessons for approximately four years to explore leadership and power. You understand?" Jonathan's shout made the three teenagers nod.
"Okay, Alpha."
Romeo leaned his back against the wooden wall. "You were just advising me, Little Brother?"
"No, why am I advising you you know about yourself and your future." Jordan folded his arms under his head into cushions.
"You didn't go back to the palace?" Romeo asked when his brother had closed his eyes.
"No, a boring party in my opinion even though this year there is something different with everyone especially the maids who look pretty."
Romeo nodded.
"Have you found your partner, Dan?" Jordan's eyes opened at the question.
"Not yet," he answered absentmindedly.
"But maybe I should travel the world to find my mate. Actually, there has always been a pack member that I like." Jordan chuckled.
Romeo frowned, his hand stroking the red knuckles.
"Rena, I like her." The warm smile that Jordan gave Romeo made the man pause.
Rena?
Jordan likes Rena? My brother likes that girl?
Romeo's heart was beating fast, he quickly jumped from the tree house leaving Jordan alone. Jordan who saw his brother's strange behavior could only smirk viciously.
Pathetic.
