Beloved Demon Husband

Just like it is said in history although not all are confirmed to be true, not only the human world exist on the surface of the earth there are other creatures and part of this creatures that co-exist are the mystical beings.

In a particular part of the world, at a place not known to the human race is a mysterious forest sheltering many mystical beings

it is believed that man's wants are unlimited so he needs to be put to check by laws and authority this also applies in the mystical world there are authority which guide the creatures and the most powerful is deem fit for this position.

having more power and stronger than the rest of the beings the Demon clan rule this forest of mystical although no official leader was chosen among them

the strongest of all is taken to be their unofficial ruler who gives rules and commands when needed and the leader of the cold forest for more than a thousand year now is a Demon named Samael, a venom demon with a poisonous and cold personality.

Living for thousands of years these creatures became aware of another existing world of the humans who are so different and weaker.

Soon enough the mystic world took interest in other world, although many didn't want to relate with the humans due to their different nature

but out of all the creatures who took interest to the human world Samael was one of them, he's so fascinated by the strange world where the people there look different and behave different.

But later on dark powers threatened the forest almost turning the creatures into pure evil with no feeling

this took an impact in the human world as the creatures begin to feed on human blood, heart and flesh for survival increasing the rate of evil in the forest and causing a disaster in the human world

with things getting out of control

Samael took it upon himself to get rid of the evil and search for solution.

After many struggles, he eventually conquer the dark powers throwing it into abyss and giving the creatures back their true self.

But in the cause of fighting, Samael intake some of the dark power inside his body causing him to a thirst for human blood at interval.

Samael tried many ways to save himself but he could only manage to suppress the blood thirst feeling in him

In a bid to heal himself he travels to the human world once every year and mingle like he's one of them, at a time he almost lost control he met a friend in the human world, the first human to know the secret of the mystical being existence and his only confidant.

With his human friend assistance, he venture more into the human world and not long decided to make himself an abode to stay.

Soon he took a great interest to the development of the other world and make an appearance once in a year.

"Arghh!"

The loud noise from the Dothad's was heard as usual their neighbors sigh in frustration at the noise there is nothing they could do to stop the everyday disturbance coming from the building, the 'two witches' are at it again.

The Dothad family has two daughters and the two girls are nothing but enemies always looking to supersede each other in everything they are more like competitors than sister, when the two were growing as kids they had fought a lot of times but their parent thought they are just kids and never took importance to the competition between the girls until they got to high school and almost burn each other down because of a guy they both liked.

Selena is the oldest but she makes sure anything her younger sister wanted she always get it for herself which always get Shaina the youngest so mad that they always end up in a tug of war with each other and that evening is no different

The girls just in their final year at college came back from school yelling at each other, one time Selena had offended Shaina and in order to get revenge on her she had implicated her during their final exams to get into college, getting her paper cancelled and making her wait a year before writing another exam to get into college the same time Shaina was also taking her own exams and of course Selena had her revenge back on Shaina when she filled her college form and put in for a complete different course instead of the one Shaina really wanted to study.

Shaina rush in quickly and jam the door fast preventing Selena who is just behind her from coming into the house

"What did you think you doing you nitwit" Selena yelled at her from outside the door trying the knob to open the locked door

"Locking you out, pyscho" she replied back

"Shaina! Open this door before I break it down" she threatened and hit the door violently

"Sorry can't hear you, I'm so hungry since someone poured my lunch on my shoes at school today" she yelled back at her

"Oh, so you are still mopping about that, come on Shaina you always get embarrassed by me you should get used to it now" she replied with jeering

Feeling raged remembering the lunch event, Shaina went inside the nearest bathroom and get a full bowl of foamy water she positioned it well and open the lock not pulling the door open, Selena heard the sound of the door being unlocked and not giving it much thought she open the door and wanted to step in but got hit by Shaina's already prepared soapy water

"Arrgh!" she shrieks

"So sorry I didn't see your ugly self-there" Shaina said sarcastically, mimicking Selena's face expression

"You bastard!" she thundered and rush at Shaina aggressively, at first she was caught off guard but in a Moment she regain herself and also retaliate back causing a big fight.

Mrs. Dothad sat down on the sofa while the two sisters kneel in front of her with their hands stretch up they stare hatefully at each other and even make to attack each other until their father came out of his room and sat down in front of them.

"So what in the world caused today's fight?" he begin

"That doesn't matter, they break all my art collection you know how much I spent to get those art works" she resorted angrily glaring at the two ladies in front of her

"They injured their faces too" he said observing their faces

"You fight and destruct things in the house what exactly is your problem?" he asked looking from Selena to Shaina

"Your precious daughter started it first, she poured hot food on my shoes during lunch today and damage my new shoes so I decided to ruin her dress too" Shaina explain impenitently

"Well am sure you must have annoyed her first" their mother affirmed and look crossly at her

"Exactly, your older sister wouldn't do that unless you infuriate her" their father supported and Selena smiled Shaina look away from her not giving a care to her words, every time she fights with Selena this is always the outcome their parent blame her for not being patient and defend her sister in most cases even when Selena is caught red handed all she does is say sorry while she has to take punishments each time.

"yes Nom, the shoe incident wasn't intentional and I already apologize to her but she didn't accept my apology rather she wanted me to give her the new top you brought for me last week and I told her nicely that I can't since you brought it specially for me but she wouldn't listen and insist I give her, when I refuse she decided to destruct the dress and then I got angry and couldn't control myself...."

Mrs. Dothad stood up and drag Selena to stand while she pretend to catch her breath and pretending to want to shed tears

"Huff" Shaina look at the two in disgust not being unable to stand the hypocrite and injustice she also stood up and went up to her room ignoring her father yelling voice asking her to come back and her mother calling out her punishment.

"they are all so annoying" Shaina scoff as she enter her room and lock the door not wanting anyone badging in, she sat in front of the mirror to check her face for the injuries and her face is really messed up she open the drawer and bring out the first aid box to treat her wounds

"Everyone is being unfair" she murmured to herself

Selena is much more brilliant and maybe beautiful than her but that doesn't make it okay for their parent to always get her the good things, every time stuffs is bring brought for the two of them

Selena always get to choose first and she always pick the beautiful ones leaving the others for her, even when they had a fight like now she always gets blame while Selena always go scot free, after all these years Shaina has reached one conclusion, their parents loves Selena and doesn't love her.

Later in the evening they all gathered for dinner of crab meat and other side dishes, they all eat silently for a while until their father speak up getting the girls attention

"Are you girls okay now?" he asked looking up from his meal, Selena nodded to his question while Shaina just buried her face into her plate

"You are no longer babies who should be fighting all about, soon Selena will start work in the company and you Shaina will pursue your part..."

"Why don't I get to work in the company?" Shaina asked with a raised brows

"Because Selena studies business at college and you did not" their mother answered

"Well that's because your daughter change my form and fill in literature" she explained the already known fact to her parent

"Still you can't work in the company, you don't even have any knowledge about what business is" their father tried to convince her to see reasons with them

"You could teach me personally and even if I don't get to run it I can work in some area and learn from there" she argued further

"Oh please Shaina you know you are not capable of learning that much, you brain is so slow that you could hardly do well in your studies how will you run the company? Just leave it to me to handle, only the best handles the best" Selena said whispering the last part.

Shaina stood up abruptly from her seat giving all a startle she look from the three in resentment before she speak

"And I wish the company get ruin under your leadership" she blurt out and walk away from the dining room.

Two years later Selena took over the family business after the completion of her master's degree but six month after she took over, the company begin to face different challenges which verges it to a ruin.

Shaina on the other hand became a dance teacher and also do some work of art although most of her work aren't appreciate she persisted hoping to make a breakthrough in one of her works.

At some point they became worried about losing the company true to Shaina's word and Selena could not help but blame Shaina for her misfortune bringing more hatred between them. During one of their dinner time together Selena break a shocking news to the family well it might not be a shocking news to their parent but to Shaina it was

"Am getting married" she had announced on the table

"What!"

"Wow dear congratulations" their parent said with happy faces and begin different question on when and how it happened

"So who is the unlucky guy?" Shaina asked nastily

"It's Dylan and he's not unlucky" Selena replied with a rolled eyes

"Dylan?"

"Yes, he propose to me last night and we are making plans to get married soon" she said smirking at the shock look on her face

"You both knew about this?' she turn to their parent to ask

Seeing the look on their face she got her answer unable to sit down to eat again she ran into her bedroom in tears and disappointment.

Dylan is their longtime family friend whose parent also own a bigger company than theirs, right from childhood Shaina has always have a crush on him that everyone could not help but notice she likes him but as they grow up she felt he isn't interested in her and decide to let go of her feelings then started dating other guys.

but just before they graduated Dylan suddenly start showing her affection and she thought maybe he likes her now, finding out that she still have lingering feelings for him she decide to give it a go and they become more close, on the part of relationship

although he never asked her out officially they always hang out together and do a lot of things couples do, he supported through her hard times and because of him she rejected guys who wanted a relationship with her and focus her attention on Dylan with the hope that one day he would summon courage and ask her out since she thought he never did because he wasn't bold enough to.

Everyone in the family know how close they are and she always talk about him every now and then, she had tell everyone including her friends about him and their ongoing relationship but now hearing this news about him proposing to someone else and even Selena at that, she was heartbroken and weep bitterly.

"What if Selena was just trying to get to her?" she suddenly thought and clean her wet face, before making any conclusion she should call Dylan to confirm the situation of things

"Dylan, can we meet up? I will come to you"

They both sat down outside the restaurant tables while a hot cup of coffee in front of them, Shaina took a long look at the coffee afraid to talk she was all bold and determined when she called him out but now seeing his handsome face she couldn't bear to learn the truth of losing him forever

"What's up with you and Selena?" she summon courage and ask him

"Like what?" he asked with a smile that Shaina would have melted at but she didn't want anything to stop her from asking him to know the truth

"Are you going to keep lying to me until your wedding day?" she asked upset and Dylan stare at her looking confused

"You propose to my sister and yet you keep me around you for your own pleasure" she burst out not able to keep her anger

"How... did you find out?" he asked almost in a whisper and stare guilty at her but Shaina isn't ready for fall for his tricks

"When were you going to tell me?" she asked more calmly

"I didn't plan this too Shaina but I just have to marry Selena"

"Why did you have to? Did she threatened you? Or is there something else I don't understand that's going on"

"Actually we are getting married on mutual agreement, our companies will grow further if we both get married and I have no choice than to put the company first" he explained and tried to hold her hands placed on the table

"Its fine, it's not like we are dating or something" she said and stood up to leave, Dylan wanted to go with her but she declined and walk home instead of taking a cab or bus.

Immediately Shaina left Dylan brought out his phone to call Selena who picked in no time

"Hi honey" she said through the phone

"You told your sister about us without informing me first" he said angrily keeping his voice low even though nobody was around him to eavesdrops on his conversation

"you obviously wasn't ready to tell her so I did the job for you, the early she knows you are mine the better, you should be thankful honey now we don't have to hide anything from her" she said happily

"But still..."

"No but Dylan, you love me not her and our wedding is coming up soon so we should focus on that instead of a distraction like Shaina" she said and hang up on him

He sighs resignedly although he has chosen Selena he doesn't want to hurt Shaina, the look on her face when he told her the truth wasn't good at all.

Shaina stood in front of a large flowing river she throw stones at it as many thought run through her head but as the thoughts keep coming the more hatred she feels for her sister and her parents who deceived her and kept the truth away from her making a big fool out of her.

After a long time she decided to go back home but with one determination in her heart, she must get married before her sister, she must find a better man than Selena, she must supersede Selena in this one thing, in all she must win Selena.
