Selena was kidnapped for what her ex-boyfriend Axel did. Because Axel stole an item belonging to Damian. And Damian wants Axel to exchange the item with Selena. Will Axel make the exchange or leave his ex-girlfriend?

Chapter 1 Kidnapped

Dim light filled the room. A girl who woke up from her stupor slowly opened her eyes. Selena, who was tied to a wooden chair blinked her eyes to focus her blurry vision. And her face slowly lifted up to recognize the place she felt unfamiliar with.

"Are you awake, Selena?"

The heavy male voice made Selena, who was still limp, turn her head slowly towards the man. And found his form enjoying a cup of coffee. Selena hissed softly, feeling her whole body aching. She cast her eyes around the room again.

"Where is this?" she asked in a weak voice, barely audible at all.

"In the interrogation room in my mansion. I'm sorry the light is dim, because I like it not too bright for people like you."

Selena hissed softly and straightened her shoulders. She looked very pale and unhealthy at the moment. Not to mention, this place didn't seem to have any sun at all so it was cold with humidity.

"Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?" Selena struggled to ask.

"I'm Damian, hello there." The man chuckled softly, playing up his answer a little.

"I have no money, and no one will ransom me. You kidnapped the wrong girl," Selena said as she leaned back against the chair limply, her head feeling heavy and dizzy.

"Not really. I kidnapped the right person." Damian shook his head slowly and watched Selena who was so weak, he looked at her with disgust and sadness.

Selena frowned, not understanding what Damian was talking about. She really didn't have a large sum of money to redeem herself. And there was no one who would redeem her either. She had no family, and her boyfriend had left her for dead.

She was a single girl struggling to survive on her own. And now she's being kidnapped by an unknown person out of the blue. Probably to be enslaved or trafficked. Because seeing how this man didn't seem like a good person.

"What do you want from me?" Selena asked as she looked at him, her breathing sounding a little heavy.

"I want to take you captive to lure your boyfriend's whereabouts," Damian replied.

"Boyfriend? You mean Axel? Ah, he's not my boyfriend anymore. He wouldn't be interested in what I'm doing, where I am, what I'm doing, what condition I'm in, everything," Selena replied.

"Oh, yeah?" Damian tugged at the corner of his lips, he couldn't believe what Selena was saying.

Selena closed her eyes for a moment. Her neck was sore, her head was spinning and her body was aching. Damian got up from his seat and approached Selena. The sound of his steps was firm and echoed in the closed room.

He touched Selena's jawline and lifted her face up to look at him. And he took his phone out of his pocket, taking a picture of Selena looking up at him. He ignored what Selena had said earlier, about her boyfriend or ex-boyfriend.

"Did you get the briefing for this? To stay away from each other, to take care of yourself, to cover up the weakness inside him. You... are his weakness."

Damian smiled and put his cell phone back in his pocket. After taking a picture of Selena's face, the one in his hand was thrown away so lightly. Selena turned her head the other way because of it. Selena raised her face again and looked at Damian.

"What do you mean, why am I his weakness?" Selena wrinkled her forehead.

"Because you're his favorite person," Damian replied.

"I'm telling you, okay. I'm no longer his favorite person, and that's highly unlikely. He and I have no relationship whatsoever. So it's pointless for you to kidnap me," Selena denied.

Selena denied it, she was a little upset that having just broken up with her boyfriend for a few days, she had to get involved with someone else because of a past relationship. What's more, this man in front of her is not a random person when it comes to kidnapping. Plus the reason for the kidnapping, he was doing this for a reason, meaning he had a purpose.

"Don't try to fool me!" Damian emphasized in a rather low voice.

"I'm not lying. I really did. Your attempt to kidnap me was just to get my ex's attention, right? I'm no longer in a relationship with him. It makes me hate him, why would I get involved in something I don't even know what it is?!" Selena snarled.

Damian tugged at one corner of his lips. His eyes darkened as Selena spoke the words, because what he saw was a lie.

"I'm never wrong, girl!" said Damian, emphasizing his sentence.

"Oh, yeah? Then this time you're wrong, admit it!" retorted Selena raising her voice. "Let go of me now! I'm no longer related to him, dammit! He's-"

Without listening to her anymore, Damian immediately put his hand around Selena's neck, making Selena look up and feel a pressure that hurt her throat. It was painful and excruciating. Damian's hand pressed down, causing her airway to close as well.

"Khh... khh..." A snoring sound came out of Selena's mouth.

Damian calmly took out his cell phone again with his other hand. And he again photographed Selena who was on the verge of death if Damian continued to close her trachea, resulting in a reduced oxygen supply to the lungs. This would lead to death in the near future.

After being satisfied with the results of his photo, Damian pulled his hand away and smiled at Selena's interest who immediately coughed. Her cough sounded dry and also very painful. Her breath was instantly taken in gasps, scooping up the oxygen around her.

"Taking a breath already? Air is too precious for a weakling like you." Damian chuckled as he bent his body to look at Selena.

Selena looked back at him with an angry look on her face. She coughed again. Her throat felt very uncomfortable now. She needed water.

"I... I need water," she said with difficulty.

"Ah, water?" Damian walked away, and grabbed a glass of water.

He returned and offered it to Selena. Selena brought her lips to the glass, she wanted to reach for it, her bound hands were useless as usual.

"You can't drink like how I drink." Damian then poured the water in the glass over Selena's head, pouring a little to show how he would give her a drink.

Selena widened her eyes, her head feeling wet now. Selena's gaze looked darkly at Damian. Not liking Selena's gaze, Damian immediately grabbed her jaw to make Selena throw her head back.

"You don't want to drink? Do as I say!" commanded Damian.

Selena opened her mouth, she needed that water. And Damian poured it with a smirk on his lips. Selena tried to drink, she stared at the glass, trying to see when the water would run out. And as soon as the last drop entered her mouth, Selena closed her mouth.

Damian laughed with satisfaction as the water soaked Selena's shirt as well.

And unexpectedly, Selena spit out the water that was in her mouth, the water that she had deliberately left to spit out on Damian.

Chapter 2 Special Treatment

As soon as Selena spurted the water in her mouth at Damian, Selena smiled with satisfaction. She loved the reaction of how Damian immediately turned his drenched face away. Although her smile disappeared as soon as Damian threw the glass in his hand in a random direction and swung his leg to kick her shoulder with force.

The chair he was sitting on was unable to keep Selena from falling after getting kicked in the shoulder. The chair fell along with Selena. Selena's head hit the floor quite hard, making her hearing ring for a while and dizzy.

Damian looked angrily at Selena, the girl had the audacity to spray water in his face because she didn't know who she was dealing with at the moment. And Damian's actions this time were aimed at showing Selena his ability, showing the power he had.

"Fool, you're messing with the wrong person, and I want you to know that." Damian took out a handkerchief from under his coat and wiped his wet face.

He looked down at the helpless Selena, tied to the chair she was now lying on. Selena was trying to keep her consciousness, evident by how weak those eyes were that repeatedly wanted to stay closed longer.

"You don't seem to know your opponent well enough. Don't act stupid if you don't know how much power your opponent has. And I need to remind you that I am not playing games with you. My actions just now are a warning to you," Damian threatened.

Selena couldn't really hear what Damian was saying as his voice would occasionally fade away. And before long, she was unconscious because she couldn't hold on any longer.

Damian chuckled as he saw her faint again. He then went to the door and exited the room. Several men in formal attire were there. They politely bowed their heads as Damian came out.

"Take him to the empty room near Merry's room. Have the servants take care of her!" Damian ordered as he walked, leaving some of them behind as others followed wherever Damian was going.

"Miss Merry won't like having another new girl, sir." One of them spoke up.

"Tell her she's not my girl, she's our precious prisoner, that's what she's been put there for. Tell the servants to tell that woman not to touch her!" Damian said.

"Why do you seem to be treating her special?" One of them was a bit rebellious.

Damian immediately glanced at his subordinates, and his steps stopped. As soon as Damian's steps stopped, everyone stopped and turned to the man who had just asked.

"Was I not clear enough? She's our precious captive. Even if I'm going to hurt her to get Axel to come and make the exchange, we should at least be kind enough to take care of her as well. Do you think that guy will make the exchange if we hand over the girl in a bad state? Well, at least not too bad."

Damian chuckled softly with his last sentence. Since he was being quite caring for the girl, his intentions were clear if he wanted Selena's ex to agree to a swap as well.

"Okay, understood."

"Don't ask questions as if you doubt my orders!" Damian's tone turned firmer and more serious.

"Yes, sir!" His loyal dogs barked obediently.

Selena was lying on a luxurious bed. With her head resting on an ice bag. Her body, which was lying openly, was being bathed by several servants. And they found some old scars on Selena's body.

Selena was not still unconscious and would have been embarrassed to find herself bathed like a corpse.

Once finished, the servants left the room. Leaving Selena who had been dressed in a plain blue gown, just like the hospital. And the butler whose only job was to make sure the other servants did their job well was now reporting to Damian.

"Her condition is improving. There are no serious injuries. But the back of her head is slightly swollen. And there are some old scars all over her body. There are some bruises too," he said.

Damian, who was sitting behind his desk, nodded his head and his forefinger, like it was touching a touchscreen, moved to shift the waiter and let someone else report as well. It was now a man wearing glasses who faced him.

"I sent the photos you requested to Axel after getting the email address he used. I also made sure that my sending the images could not be detected."

"Did Axel reply?" Damian looked at him with a sharp gaze.

"No... Not yet."

"Good, good. Report any Axel movements you find to me," Damian said.

"Yes, sir."

Damian walked out of his room and headed to the elevator. He pressed three and headed to the ladies' room. On the third floor, he could see how the servants struggled every night because there was always a commotion at dinner.

"Just look who will conceive the child first!"

"Obviously me! I'm Lord Damian's favorite after Merry."

"How could he leave his child to someone like you!"

The waitress, who saw Damian coming out of the elevator, hurriedly informed the women until they calmed down and the atmosphere became tense. Damian approached the dining room, and the women there immediately bowed their heads politely.

"Can't you have dinner in peace?" Damian's heavy voice broke the silence that had just occurred.

"Are you here?" A woman sitting at the end of the table, amongst six other women dared to speak up first.

We can guess who. The woman who was said to be Damian's favorite. The woman mentioned by the other waitresses earlier. Merry. The blonde beauty smiled beautifully at Damian.

"Do you want to eat first or... something else?" Merry got up from her seat and approached Damian.

"I want you for tonight," Damian said, accompanied by his sweet smile.

The other women immediately furrowed their brows. They also seemed to want Damian's touch.

"You've been using Merry a lot lately and we've become untouchable," protested one of the six in a fairly steady voice.

"That's your punishment for daring to do so with my other subordinates."

With darkened eyes and a low voice, Damian said that. Making all five of them scared. Except for Merry, who was Damian's favorite because of her obedient and sweet attitude, Damian's type.

"By the way, you have another girl next to my room," Merry said.

"She seems to be replacing Merry, being young and pretty."

"Shut your mouth!"

Chapter 3 Exchange Rejection

Merry sounded angry when one of them tried to provoke her. The reason was, she herself did feel rivaled as soon as she heard of the arrival of a girl in the empty room next door. She didn't see her directly, but the words of the other women managed to upset her because of the way they talked about the new girl.

Damian glanced at the angry Merry. And instantly, his desire for Merry tonight just faded away. Damian's moods were volatile, he was sensitive. And he was the laziest to deal with his angry or sulking woman.

"I don't want you anymore for tonight. Rose, go to your room!" Damian stared at the woman who was arguably the quietest among the others, who had finished her meal and was closing the dinner with dessert.

While the others were busy looking at Damian, Rose was still thinking about her own stomach. And for Damian, a woman on a full stomach was the calmest woman. He had learned enough about women in the 28 years he had been alive.

And Damian's words managed to make Merry and the others fall silent. Rose, who was eating dessert, immediately put down her cutlery and got up. She didn't really show her surprise. Rose was also not really involved in Damian's punishment, she was quiet and rather shy. Damian disliked her a little because of her silence.

Damian headed to Rose's room with Rose. Merry stared angrily at Damian there. As gentle and sweet as she was, she was currently angry.

Before entering her room, Damian glanced at the already named room next to Merry's. Selena. He then turned around and approached the room. Rose followed Damian.

Damian opened the door to the room, and could see how Selena was still asleep on the bed. Either sleeping or still unconscious. He was still upset with Selena's behavior earlier. And he closed the door to Selena's room again and glanced at Rose.

"She looks so young. How old is she?" Rose asked.

"20 years old, turning 21 in two months," Damian replied.

"Ah, I see. She's the youngest one here right now," said Rose.

"Are you sad that your youngest title was taken away by her? She's not here to be one of you, my pet. She's our prisoner." Damian chuckled and led her to the room.

"Hahaha, not really. At 24 years old, I feel like I have a little sister. Merry seems to be upset about that girl."

Damian just smiled lazily. Merry, who was 31 years old, clearly felt excluded if Selena really became one of them. But Damian's clear opposition, if Selena was only his prisoner, allowed Merry to calm down a little.

***

Selena woke up from her sleep that morning. She groaned softly, her throat feeling dry again. Her head was dizzy, she still remembered the pain of the impact she had experienced. It was really bad. The man was merciless and ready to beat up anyone regardless of gender.

"Are you awake?" The maid entered her room, bringing a teapot and glasses.

The maid served Selena a drink. And Selena was about to accept the drink from the stranger. Until she realized as soon as she saw her hands, if she was chained. She thought she could move freely, but it turned out that there were chains binding her to the bed.

"Drink up!" The maid made Selena accept it and Selena immediately drank it with confusion and she looked at the maid suspiciously.

"Where is this? Who are you?" Selena's voice sounded very hoarse.

"In your room, Miss. I'm just a maid, don't mind my name, I probably won't serve you again in the future." The servant acted coldly and then left the room.

And another servant entered, bringing food. Selena frowned as the maid placed the tray on the nightstand and took a folding table to place the food in front of Selena. The waitress helped Selena up, Selena hissed as her head ached.

"Have breakfast first and then take some painkillers."

Selena wrinkled her forehead suspiciously. "It's not poisonous, right?"

The maid didn't answer and sat on the sofa, as if waiting for Selena to eat. Selena stared at the delicious-looking sandwich. The smell of the bacon that was the filling made her hungry too. She quickly devoured it. And as soon as she finished eating, the maid gave her some painkillers.

"This is strange. Yesterday I was treated like a thief, today I'm treated well," Selena protested.

Unfortunately, none of the maid here were friendly to talk to. They were all cold. And left as soon as their job was done. Selena grumbled under her breath.

"What the hell are they doing? Hey, are there still servants outside? My hands are chained, how can I go to the bathroom? Anyone, can anyone hear me?" Selena tried to tighten her voice.

And what she wanted to come didn't, what she didn't want came. Damian entered her room. The maid immediately closed the door from the outside and Selena was shocked to stare at Damian. Yesterday's events had traumatized her somewhat.

"Y-you? What else are you doing here? You're not satisfied with what you did yesterday? You paid me back, we're even now!" said Selena with a sharp look at Damian.

Damian looked at her with no expression on his face. He looked at Selena who sat leaning against the headboard.

"Your boyfriend gave me a reaction that I didn't want. That's why I came here to provoke him further." Damian stood by her bed.

"What? What do you mean?" Selena furrowed her brow and looked at Damian with some fear.

"Your boyfriend said he didn't want to make an exchange between you and my precious things that he has. So I wanted to show him a little bit what I can do with this precious thing of his," Damian said as he reached his hand around Selena's face, and gripped Selena's jawline.

Selena was silent for a moment and snorted.

"You still don't believe me? That means my words are true. Me and him have nothing to do with each other anymore and we're no longer involved with each other. Obviously he won't want to do the exchange you're talking about. I'm nothing in his eyes," Selena retorted.

"But not the way I see your relationship. Don't think that I'm not investigating everything, Selena." Damian shook his head, sticking to what he believed.

"Why do you insist? I told you, there's no point in kidnapping me and treating me badly or well!" Selena pressed irritably.

"Ah, you already think what I did yesterday was bad enough, huh? Actually, it was nothing. It was just a little warning. I'm going to have a little fun with you, to make Axel feel sorry for you."

Damian chuckled softly, his gaze darkening. His smile was horrible too, that's what Selena saw.

And as soon as Damian snapped his fingers, his subordinates entered the room and dragged Selena.
