Bad boy on babysit duty

"Mom! I'm going now, I'll leave Mrs. Montana here with you, alright?" I shout as I pull my luggage out of the house.

But she didn't answer. I sighed.

"Mrs. Montana, thank you for agreeing to look after my mom"

"Don't worry about her. Don't thank me, it's my job alright? Off you go now, don't want to be late" she tells me and I hug her

"Really, thank you" I whisper and she nods

After that, I ride a bus and not long after I reach the Anderson's house.

I knock on their door. As soon as it opens, a smile on Mrs. Anderson's face was clear, so I smiled back.

"Olivia, you're a life saver" She says hugging me and I chuckled "You said you were leaving today and I had to be here" I answer

"We are. Actually, you're right on time. We are about to leave, so you handle everything here alright? Your room is upstairs, one on the left. Same room as always" She says and I nod "Alright, anything else?"

"My son is not here yet. Can't wait for you to meet him. He'll be here later and same rules"

My eyes widen "You have a son? Really? That's great, is he in pre-school or tutor today?" I ask smiling Mr. Anderson chuckled "I had given him an ultimatum. That's why you haven't seen him in years. He is the same age as you. He always find trouble, so we need a favor and set him straight." He says as they fix their stuff.

"Wait, what? Uhm, I don't how to baby sit someone my age" I say in disbelief

"You can do it sweetheart" Mrs. Anderson smiles at me then shouts "Honey let's go!"

"Okay, we'll get going, see you in 3 months and then take care of the house and our son. Thank you Olivia" She says kissing my cheek and leaves the house

"But---but-"

"Goodbye dear, I know she told you call us if you need anything but please unless its an emergency, understand me right?" he winks

I nod because I do. It's their wedding anniversary. A 3 decade of marriage. They both needed it, I know because I have been with them for 3 years now.

But still I was not informed they had a son. They never mentioned it to me.

"Yes, but---" I say but he cuts me off "Gotta go!" then leaves me there alone. Well, not technically alone, there is always Mrs. Abigail with me, but still! I lock their door and went to find her. She was cooking.

"Hey Abby" I say kissing her cheek "Hey dear, can you help me open the can, you know I'm too old and not strong enough to open it anymore" She says and I chuckled

"Stop that" I giggled "Just tell me you miss me" I say as I open a can of mushrooms She laughed "Fine, I miss you. It's been a long time since you were called to stay here"

I nod "I know right. But school is on Monday, again. I don't want to study anymore" I complained

"Now, stop that. I know you're smart" she winks and I chuckled

Then she finished cooking dinner and we ate together. While I was washing the dishes, she watched me.

"Abby, The Andersons have a son?"

"Yes, didn't I mentioned it to you before?" she asks I shake my head

"Really? He's been studying in London but then he's trouble himself, that's why Ben told him to come back he end study instead" She says

Benedict is Mr. Anderson. And Maxine is Mrs. Anderson.

"Oh, what kind of trouble is he capable of?" I ask

"A lot. I baby sat him since he was a kid, he was always up to something, pranks and just everything. When he was in grade school, Ben and Max were called and they had to fly to London. He glued their principal on his chair and put gum all over a girls' hair"

"I know he's just a kid but it never stopped until highschool, that's why now, mid highschool, he's coming here to finish it. " she continued "That's bad" I say holding my long hair

"It is, so they said if he didn't go home, they'd cut everything from him" Abby says

"So, he'll be back today?" I ask but she shook her head

"He's been here for a week but always leaves and comes back late, always a little drunk"

I mouthed an "oh" and bobbed my head

After that, I went to my room, as Abby says she's also tired.

I dropped myself unto my bed after hours of fixing my stuff in the cabinet on the table to prepare for classes again, on Monday.

"Finally, some rest!" I tell myself, I check the time and it was already eleven in the evening. I didn't even shower yet.

I, once again, got up and went for a quick shower. Then I heard a car arriving; that must be him. I continued to shower, and then when I was done, I forgot to bring myself some clothes. Stupid, Olivia. I wrap myself in a towel.

When I opened the door, I went to my closet and dropped the towel to put some clothes on.

Then I hear a groan behind me. I turned around and there, a man on my bed. I screamed.

"Ahhhhh!"

He gets up and looks at me from head to toe, then he smirks. I forgot I was naked, so I immediately picked up my towel and ran out.

"Abby! Abby!" I shout "What is it dear? Are you alright?" she asks and she holds me as I was shaking.

Then he descends from upstairs. With a smirk on his face.

"I didn't know my parents gave me something to go home to" he says "Pervert!" I scream at him

"Shhhh" Abby says

"Marcus, stop it. The girl is shaking" Abby says

"What? Am I wrong?" he says putting his arms in-front of him

"This is Olivia, she's your baby sitter" Abby says

His eyes widen. "What the f---" Abby cuts her off "Watch your language young man"

"Who told them I need a baby sitter?!" he shouts angrily

"They are your parents. Now, go to bed. The right bed this time Marcus, the one on the right is yours" Abby says

He scoffed "I forgot where my room was, I'm a little drunk. I got em' mixed up" he says

"Now go, run along," Abby says as she coos at him. He does. But he stops when he was in the middle of the stairs. He looks at me and smirks "Nice body by the way" then left

"Are you okay?" Abby asks and I nod

"Yeah, just startled that's all. I should've locked the door. I'm sorry, I woke you up"

"It's fine. He is trouble I tell you. So, lock the door and don't be swayed by his good looks. Alright?" she says and I nod.

After that I went upstairs, to my room and locked the door. I took a deep breath.

I change into my pajamas and then went to bed.

I kept thinking, how on earth I will be able to look at him tomorrow, with him teasing me about this. I hope he forgets about it and just ignore me.

I groaned. Then not long after I fell asleep.

Morning came and it was already five in the morning. Abby usually prepares breakfast at seven, so I still have time to go for a run.

I change into my running attire and went off. I stopped by the playground. I smiled and remembered my father, who used to bring me here. Sadly, he died due to a car accident, and now, mom is acting differently day by day because of his death. But I got used to it.

Then I left. I went back to the house, And I find Abby cooking breakfast, and it's 6:30 in the morning.

"Early, aren't we?" I say and drank some water

"Eating breakfast like that?" She asks as she serves the food

"Yeah, why not?" I say biting into a piece of bacon "Good Morning, Abby." A voice says and we look over who it was and it was Marcus.

"Olivia" he casually says

"Sit down and eat" Abby says and he obliged

During the breakfast he didn't mention anything about last night. "Your parents said that you are allowed to go out but curfew is 7 at night" Abby says

"Okay, got it" he says Then there was a moment of silence.

"So, Olivia. You go to the same school as I am?" He asks

"Yes and your parents told me to keep on eye on you" I answer

"That's great, even at school" he says sarcastically

"Don't worry. As long as you don't get in trouble. We will not have any problem"

"Well that's even harder to do" he answers and chuckled

After that, we helped Abby to fix the kitchen and I washed the dishes, as Marcus sat there with his phone scrolling.

When I was done, I went to my room to shower.

"Olivia!" I hear Marcus shouts, I open my bathroom door.

"Wait!" I shout Then after a few minutes, I went out of my room, see him waiting for me leaning on the wall.

"I need to ask you a favor" he says

"Depends on what it is" I say and he smirks

I don't like where this is going.

He stared at me for a while.

"So, what is it?" I asked

"I need you to leave" he says and I raised my eyebrows at him

"What?"

"Didn't know you have ear problems? I think you need to clean them, I said I need you to leave" he says

I chuckled "Listen, Marcus. I don't know where is your confidence coming from but sorry to burst your bubble, I won't leave unless your parents says so" I say smiling

He bobbed his head, you know angrily? I can't describe it right now but he's mad. Well, what I said is true, he can't force me to leave, he can't tell me what to do unless his parents call me and tell me themselves. He fished out his phone. Then no one answered he tries again. The moment he tries again, I know he's trying to reach his parents. The second time it offs, I smiled at him when he looks at me.

"No one answering?" I say and he looks at me angrily confused

"Yeah, they kinda told me, that not call unless it's an emergency. And I think your parents know you so well that they know you would disagree with me being here" I say

"Why can't you just leave?!" he shouts at me

"Shhh, Abby might here you and scold you again, you wouldn't want that right?" I tease him

He was breathing heavily and his fist clenches as his knuckles turns white. Then walks away.

"I'll tell you when they call me!" I shout to tease him more, I chuckled to myself and went to my room to study.

Nothing much happened, he didn't leave the house for the whole day, he just swam his anger off in their swimming pool. I would lie if I said watching him doesn't interest me but not because he has this gorgeous body but because it's fun teasing him and making him angry.

Then there was a knock on the door, I hurriedly open it. Only to find, Kelvin standing there. Kelvin, is the football captain, he's smart and nice, to me at least. But then again, he gets irritated easily.

"Oh hey, Kelvin! What brings you here?" I ask

He was not shocked to see me here, as he knows I work for the Andersons from time to time. But never did once, he came here, so I guess something is up.

He scratch the back of his neck "Oh, uh I didn't expect to see you here today. I'm here to see Marcus Anderson? He told me to come here?" Oh. So he's friends with him, too bad.

I nod "He's at the back, swimming. Come in." I say and he does.

I walk him to the pool and shouted "Marcus, someone here to see you!" I shout

And he looks up from his phone to us.

"Hey Man. Good to see you back" Kelvin says

"I'll leave you two be, I'll prepare some snacks" I say and I left them there

Me and Kelvin know each other, though we're not friends, I think. He is always my partner in every by pair projects, that's how we got to know each other.

I prepared some orange juice for his highness and some grape juice for Kelvin. As I learned he is not a fan of orange and loves grapes.

Then for sandwiches. I prepared a ham and cheese sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce, I didn't put on tomatoes for Kelvin because he hates them.

When done. I went to them and served them something to eat.

"Thanks" Kelvin says "No Problem. You guys enjoy" I answer him not sparing a glance at Marcus

When I was about to leave when Marcus words stops me "How do you know what he likes? Don't tell me you like him?" Marcus says "Of course not" I say looking at Kelvin "He and I are partners for projects often and we get to tell stories, I just remembered, right Kelvin?"

There was a hesitation on his side but he nods.

"That's good, because the last thing I want is for you to like my friends. It would be so gross besides, I know Kelvin doesn't like a girl like you" he says and I rolled my eyes and left them be.

I went to my room and decided to read some books. Tomorrow is Monday so I need to fix my things and study in advance.

Hours had passed and I look over the window, they were both saying their goodbyes, Kelvin looks up on my window and waves at me goodbye, so I waved back. After that I went to my bed.

But before I could help myself for a nice nap. Marcus then shouting and banging my door.

I open it and said "What's wrong with you?!"

"I don't like you hanging around with my friends. Got that?" I scoffed "So this was it? You banged my door and disturbed me for that? We've been partners for projects often that's why I know him. I didn't even know you were friends. But don't worry, I'll do my best to stay away from him" I say sarcastically sweet He stared at me with his furious eyes and then left to go to his room and slam the door shut.

"Asshole" I murmur to myself as I did the same to my door

Can my life get any worse?

Monday.

Here I was fixing my things in my locker when there was a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Kelvin.

"Oh hey!" I say

"Uh yeah, hey. Can I burrow your notebook? I just need to copy somethings" he says

"Sure. Here, please make sure to bring that back before last period" I say

"Yeah, thanks" he says and took the notebook and walked away

In case you were wondering if I have friends. I don't. I don't like getting attached to someone I know that aren't permanent.

I have met a few people but that's it. Seatmates or project partners, Nothing more.

While waiting for our professor, I decided to call Mrs. Montana. "Hello Mrs. Montana, how are you? And Mom?" I asked through the phone

"Doing good dear. Your mom, as usual, doesn't talk and when she does, she just talk about your father"

"Any tantrums so far?" I ask

"None"

"I guess, she just do it with me huh?" I say sadly but trying to mask that off with a chuckle

"Don't say that, Olivia. Everything will be alright soon." I nod even though she can't see me. "Alright, thank you again. I will call again soon" I say and I hung up

I sighed as I play with my phone and staring at it.

"You look depressed, everything okay?" I look up to see Kelvin I smiled "Yeah" Then he sat beside me.

"Doesn't look like you're okay"

I didn't answer. I don't want anyone to know about my personal problems.

"I won't force you to talk but if you need someone to talk to, I'm here" he says putting his hands on my shoulder

I smiled at him and mumbled a thanks. Then Marcus came in.

His eyes was looking for someone then when he spotted Kelvin, his eyes went for me and then Kelvins hands on my shoulder. Then he glared at me.

"Kelvin" He says

"Come on dude, sit here" Kelvin says

Marcus, Me and Kelvin. That's our sitting arrangement now.

The class went on smooth. No one bothered me or anything, after that, I left without a word.

I decided to skip last period and then luck was with me because, our professor told us he needed to go to an emergency meeting.

Since, it was still early, I went to the children's playground nearby. I sat on one of the swings. I sat there watching the kids play until they get picked up by their parents. My dad and I used to go here together when he leaves early for work and mom always pick us up.

I sighed. I check the time and it was already five in the afternoon, I guess I need to go home now. When I got home, I helped Abby to prepare for dinner. I knock on Marcus' door to call him.

"What?" he answers as he opens his door

"Abby says it's time for dinner" I say

He smirked "Not enough energy for today?" "Marcus please not now" I say and I walked towards the stairs

"Didn't I tell you to stop hanging around with Kelvin?" he says

I turn around to face him. "I did. It's not my fault he keeps on finding me. Tell him to stay away from me because I don't have the heart to do so"

"So you're saying he's the one running after you? Aren't you a full of yourself?"

"I'm not saying that. I'm just telling you that I'm not the one who's running after him. No one interests me." I say

He scoffed. I don't have time for this.

Instead of walking down stairs, I went up to my room.

"Where are you going? It's time for dinner idiot" he says "I'm not hungry anymore" I yell back and slam the door shut.

I went to bed early without showering or even eating. Because when I found myself comfortable in bed, I got carried away by my emotions and just cried my heart out until I fell asleep.

Marcus' POV

Why is the girl so annoying? I mean, why does she gets' on my nerves, so bad? She's frustrating me just thinking about it?

I swear, if her and Kelvin dated, I would break them apart. I don't want Kelvin be associated with some maid or something, especially when my parents like her, they would compare me to Kelvin for finding such a gem. But the truth is she isn't.

She's not a saint. She's a little demon. And I'll make sure to get rid of her soon.

"Where is Olivia?" Abby asks

"She said she doesn't want to eat"

"What? She's hungry, she just told me that. What on earth did you do again young man?"

"What? It's my fault again?" I whined and she eyed me

"Fine. I'll just bring her something to eat when I'm done" I say

"And?"

"And apologize, yeah yeah" I say and started to eat my food. It was good, well Abby makes the best food in the world.

After eating, I pick up the tray Abby prepared for her. Then went to her room.

"Olivia" I knock on her door but no one answered

"Olivia, I brought you food. Abby says you need to eat"

Then I hear her sniffled. "Just leave it there, I'll take it later"

I put it down on the table beside the door. "Are you okay?" I asked

"Yeah. Thanks"

Why do I even bother asking? She's just in a bad mood that's all.

I shake my head and went to my room to shower and go to bed. Finally. Some rest.

I woke up and it was still dark, and it was around 2am. I decided to drink some water. I got downstairs and got myself some hot milk instead. I was about to go in my room when I noticed the food was still on the table. She didn't eat

I'm not supposed to be concerned but I think I am? Or maybe I just am because I'm worried my mom would get mad if something happens to her.

I groaned. She's too much to handle. I went down and knock on Abby's door.

"Why are you still awake?" she asks

"I just woke up and wanted a hot milk but she didn't eat" I say

"What?"

"Do you have a key to her room? I think something happened to her" I say

And she nods as she got the key and went to her room. I didn't look much longer, instead, I went in my own room drank some hot milk and went to bed.

Not long after, I fell into a deep slumber.

Morning came and I prepared myself to school. I went down for breakfast, Olivia was nowhere to be found.

"She's not going to school today, would you mind telling your professors she's not attending" Abby says

"Yeah No---" then I was cut off "I will attend. I can attend" she says weakly

"You're took weak now. Go back to bed" Abby says

"I can Abby. Please, I can't miss classes" She says

Abby sighs "Fine"

Then she went to school. I didn't offer a ride, since she mentioned she likes to walk to make her fever go away.

I got to school and went to find Kelvin. "Yo!" I shout

"I have practice today for an upcoming game. I'll leave you alone today, is it okay?" he says

"Yeah, no problem"

"I'll leave you alone then. See you tomorrow" he says and waves at me goodbye I guess I'll be stuck with that annoying little demon. I sighed.

I went to class but she wasn't there. Weird. I though she didn't like to miss class today. Well I guess, she didn't go after all.

An hour passed by when someone disturbed our class.

"Good Morning Mr. Love, is Kelvin here?" a guy asks "No, wasn't he supposed to be practicing now?" Mr. Love says

Then the guys phone rang.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you but I found him he is in the clinic afterall" he says he was about to leave but I stood up "Let me come with you. He's my bestfriend" I say and he nods and Mr. Love allowed

As we ran towards there I asked why was he there, was he okay? But he didn't know either. When we got there, he stood as he talks to the school nurse. "Are you okay?" the guys asks Kelvin

"Yes coach, I'm fine" he answers

"Then why are you here?" I ask him

"I was on my way to practice when I bumped into someone, then I approach her then suddenly she fainted" he says and then opens the curtain. There she was, Olivia, sleeping peacefully.

"Abby told her not to attend be she's so stubborn." I say

"Well, I can't leave her so, I asked the nurse if I can take her home but she says, it's supposed to be her guardian"

I sighed. I didn't want to do this 'cause I really don't care, it's her fault anyway but then again....

"I'll take her home, she lives with me. My parents are paying for her education" I say

"Marcus Anderson, right?" The nurse said and I nod

"Okay, I guess you are qualified. I know your parents. They come here for her too about school matters that is" the nurse says and I nod We settled for her to leave.

"Take care of her. She's been through a lot and just, take care of her, alright?" Kelvin says and I just nod, he cares for her, what does he sees in her? It's getting kind of irritating. I carried her to my car and drove her home.

"Abby!" I shout as I went to her room and laid her on the bed

"Yes dea---" she gasped and went to her side

"What happened?" she asks "She fainted at school today so I brought her home" I answer

She nods "Okay, I'll tend to her now. Go back to school"

I nod and ran to my car and drove away.

After that my mind was always with her. I kept thinking If she's okay? Why am I so damn worried about her now? I ruffled my hair.

What did that little demon do to me?

Later that day, Kelvin told me that their practice ended quickly, so he decided to hang out for a bit.

"How is Olivia?" he asks

I raise my eyebrows at him.

"What?" he says

"Nothing. Do you like her?" I ask

"I do" then he smiled like an Idiot

"Oh"

"I'm planning to ask her out but I get nervous. It's like she's walking away from me every now and then"

"I think that's my fault"

"What? Why do you say so?"

"I might have told her that she should stay away from you because you don't like her" "What? Why would you do that?" he punched my arms

"Because, I though she wasn't your type"

"Oh so what's my type exactly? Huh, Marcus?" he asks annoyed

"I though you like quiet or shy girls. I'm sorry okay"

"She is quiet and shy when I met her then we both got comfortable and she's the first girl who remembers what I hate and what I like"

I was also shock the she remembered those kinds of information. I wonder if she remembers mine?

"Don't tell me you like her too?" He says looking at me

"What? No! of course not"

He chuckled "It's okay of you do, may the best man win if you do like her, that is. And if she chooses you, I don't have a problem with that" he says

"So if I do like her, and she likes me back, you'd let her go?"

"Of course, I won't force someone to love me just because I love them. Relationship doesn't work that way" he says drinking a can of soda

Then there was a moment of silence. I would never like her. Not in my life.

"So, would you mind if I visit her later today?" he asks

"Yeah, you can come and go anytime, you don't need to tell me" I say

He nods "Cool"

"Cool" I repeat

After that, we both went home. I went to check on Abby and she was cooking something for dinner. "What's cookin'?" I ask

"Beef Curry, do you like it?" she asks, her back facing me

"Yeah, it's fine. You know I'm not picky."

"I'll cook some chicken soup for Olivia"

"She's still not okay?"

She shakes her head "No. I think something is bothering her that's why she's sick. She's never been sick, since..." she stopped "Since?"

"Nevermind I told you that. Go and change first, this will be over soon"

I didn't pry on much instead I nod "Kelvin will be here too"

She nods. I got to my room and had the urge to check on her but I decided against it. I just went in the bathroom to shower instead.

After my long shower, I changed and went out of my room and I heard giggles on the other side of her door.

I put my ear on her door and there was a voice, a male voice. I was shocked and opened the door without knocking, only to find Kelvin there sitting in front of her in her bed, and her holding a piece of rose.

"You're here" I say

"Yeah, Abby let me in and she said you were in your room. But I told her, I was going to see Olivia, so she sent me up here, in her room."

"Oh, let's eat dinner then" I tell him

He turns to Olivia.

"Can you walk?" he asks

She smiled "Yeah" He helped her up and Insisted the she needs help to go downstairs. I rolled my eyes and went down first irritated.

"You okay dear?" Abby asks and I look at Olivia and Kelvin

I scoffed "Yeah, I am"

She hummed in response and smirking.

Then Olivia and Kelvin came to the table, helping her seat.

"Here is for you" Abby brings her the Chicken soup but she frowned

"I'll eat this but can I also eat that?" She asks Abby "If they give you some" she teases "Enjoy your food. I already ate earlier" then she left

"Here, have some" Kelvin says giving her Beef Curry

"Oh, Thanks" she says cheerfully

So, we begun to eat, well, I did. They kept taking while eating.

And somehow, it irritated me more.
