The compound was filled with a lot of ladies dressed quite well. It's the day of the interview at the classy mansion of the popular Dylan Langford Martins, one of the youngest Billionaires in New York and the CEO of the Langford conglomerates.
In response to the quest for a babysitter for his only daughter, Alexandrea Langford, who is about six years of age, an interview was fixed to appoint a lady whose personality matches his taste and that of his daughter.
He sat comfortably in the large verandah, dressed in all white and a cup of Orange juice in his hands which he sipped from time to time.
His eyes scanned the ladies on the queue and he sighed. To him, none of them matches his taste and the quality of a babysitter; they were either dressed seductively or had displeasing looks on. He sipped from his cup watching the chief maid and his daughter do the interview.

Claribel ran as fast as she could, and her long brown hair was blown by the cool breeze.
"Gosh, how did I manage to sleep this long?
Now I'm late!" She said frustratedly, increasing her running pace.
She finally got to the large mansion; the interview had surely started. She heaved a deep sigh, panting like someone in a hurry as she knocked gently on the iron gate, afraid it might break if she knocked too hard.
The gate was opened by the security man who smirked on seeing her.
"Here for the interview," she said quickly and tried entering but was stopped.
"Hey, don't you know you're late!" He questioned, she rolled her eyes.
"I woke up late okay, so mind your business. You're just a security man here," she said harshly, trying to make her way in but was stopped again.
"You are late ma'am; you should return home," the yellowed teeth security man said, and they started to argue.
By now, the ladies' gazes were all fixed on them. Dylan smirked, seeing how crazy she acted with her gestures and expressions.
He beckoned to a guard who rushed to him immediately.
"Tell him to let her in and bring her here," he whispered, and the guard bowed slightly before leaving.
"Let her in," he whispered to the security man who was now furious. He nodded.
"Come in," the security man said, and she rolled her eyes as she made her way in, intentionally hitting her shoulders on his. He staggered.
"Just wait till I start working here, I'll $trangle you," she threatened and suddenly noticed everyone was looking at her surprisingly. She bent her head, feeling awkward.
"Follow me," he said, walking to where Dylan was seated at the interview spot.
The crowd murmured
"Good day, sir," she said, sitting without being asked to. Little Andrea watched with keen interest.
"Are you nuts? Get up!" The guard half yelled, pulling her roughly.
"First coming late for the interview, harassing my worker, now sitting without being asked to... Who the h'll do you think you are?" Dylan scoffed. Claribel picked on her nails nervously.
"I'm sorry."
"Throw her out," he said, looking at her irritatingly. She furrowed her brows...
"What... Why letting me in then?" Her mind screamed.
"No dad, I like her...
"I want her to be my nanny," Andrea suddenly said, everyone gasped, Claribel's eyes widened on their own.
"Ohh my....!" she exclaimed aloud, without realizing.
*************
"Grinnnn" Claribel's alarm rang loudly, and she sighed as she turned it off sleepily.
She lay still in bed, waking up slowly like an old computer before finally opening her eyes.
Gosh, I just slept! It's already morning," she yawned, rubbing her eyes lazily with her pointer finger.
It's her first day as a babysitter in the Langford's mansion, and she needs to be there as early as possible since it's her first day at work.
Unfortunately, Claribel is the type who tends to procrastinate.
She always has one thing or another to do. She dragged her legs lazily to the bathroom to freshen up and came out exactly thirty minutes later.
"Claribel..!! Be quick, it's your first day," her grandmother shouted from the corridor.
"I know, right?" she mumbled, rubbing lotion on her skin before putting on her undergarments.
She picked her best blue gown from her box and put it on. The gown was the last gift she received from her mother three years ago before her death.
She wore her only pair of black boots, combed her long hair, tying it into a high ponytail. She took one last glance at the mirror, picked up her bag, and walked out of the room.
"Good morning, sis," her younger brother pecked her cheeks, and she smiled, "Morning, Harold." "I promise you'll return to school after I receive my first salary," she rubbed his cheeks, and the fourteen-year-old boy nodded.
"Claribel, come on, be quick. You're running late, and you need to create a good impression on your first day," her grandmother said, coming from the kitchen with a cup of coffee in her hand. "Morning, granny.
Do you want to get fired on your first day?" her grandmother questioned.
Claribel rolled her eyes. "It's not like I was given a specific time to come," she shrugged, taking a few slices of bread, applying butter before putting it in her mouth.
"You're something else," her granny sighed. "Being a babysitter isn't so stressful, right?" her brother asked.
Claribel almost choked on her bread. "I've got an arrogant person as a boss, and most workers in the house are difficult," she rolled her eyes.
Harold laughed, "I hope your eyes don't fall out soon with the way you roll them," Granny said. Claribel checked her watch and gasped, standing up immediately. "See you later, granny," she said hurriedly, rushing out of the house. "I thought you loved your food more."
Arriving at the mansion, she heaved a deep sigh. It was easy to get a bus at the station, thanks to today being a Saturday.
She clenched her fists, ready to knock at the gate, but her eyes caught the electric switch beside the door. She laughed, hitting her head with her clenched fists.
"The last time I came here, I knocked like an illiterate instead of pressing the bells," she said, revealing part of her teeth with a smile.
She pressed the electric bell, and almost immediately, the gate was opened by one of the security men.
She showed him a card that was given to her on the day she got appointed. He nodded, opening the gate widely. "The babysitter, right?" She nodded and entered.
One of the guards escorted her inside, and she couldn't help but admire the exquisite state of the mansion. It was beautiful and classy.
The guard led her into the sitting room, and her mouth flew open. "This is amazing!" Her mind screamed as she admired everything, It was mostly made of gold and diamond.
There was a fireplace for warming up also, everywhere was sparkling and neat.
There he was, sitting on the sofa while his daughter laid beside him, with her head on his laps their eyes were glued to the TV.
"Good morning boss," she bowed, avoiding his gaze. His daughter sat up immediately on hearing her voice, she made cute faces rushing to her.
"I missed you," the girl said, hugging her legs due to her height. Claribel smiled, stroking her hair. "I'm here now."
"What says the time?" Dylan finally spoke up, her smug smile disappeared immediately.
She released herself from his daughter's embrace on hearing him speak with no expression to judge how he was feeling... angry or frustrated.
"Huh," she breathed, trying her best to be as polite as possible as she slowly diverted her gaze to her watch on her left wrist. "10:48 am," she said with confidence that made him wonder. "And you have the audacity to say it to my face," he said.
Claribel bit her lower lip, she's slowly losing it. "You asked, didn't you? Besides, I arrived about five minutes ago, so I'm not so late," she said, and Dylan scoffed. "Listen to me, I don't care who exactly you are, but I'm your boss.
Learn to respect me!" He growled, his daughter flinched a bit, but neither him nor her new nanny noticed. "Well, where I came from, females are respected too," she shrugged. Dylan only sighed, giving no reply.
Andrea looked at her nanny beckoning her to sit, Claribel flashed her a thankful smile as she sat comfortably on the couch. His daughter sat on her legs, Dylan scoffed at their closeness.
"Maidservant Ann," he suddenly called, looking towards where the kitchen was located, expecting her to come from there.
The woman answered from the kitchen and rushed to him, bowing her head.
"Get the rules book, she's my daughter's new nanny," Dylan said, pointing at Claribel who was staring at him blankly.
"Ohh, welcome to the Langford's mansion dear, I'm Ann, the chief maid," the woman said, flashing her a broad smile. Claribel smiled back. "I'm Claribel." "Get it now," Dylan said to the woman. Claribel's smile changed into a frown. "Yuck!" she grimaced.
The woman returned with a big book in her hands, Claribel's eyes widened on their own.
"Wait, did I hear him correctly? How can a rules book be as large as this?" she thought. Dylan took it from the woman who bowed before leaving. He turned to Claribel, staring at her for a while.
She swallowed, feeling uncomfortable with his gaze on her. "Here's the book," he paused, staring at his daughter on her legs, "containing the rules and regulations you must abide by as a babysitter," he continued, handing it over to her.
Claribel was amazed at its largeness; she opened the first page, it was a mere introduction.
She turned to the next page... the next... and the next page where the rules came into view.
She squinted her eyes to read. "FIRST, NEVER TOUCH HER WITHOUT WASHING YOUR HANDS" was written boldly on the page, it was so bold that even someone who couldn't read without glasses could easily read what was there.
She flipped to the next page, reading aloud. "NEVER ENTER HER ROOM WITHOUT HER PERMISSION," she scoffed. "Seriously?"
Each page contained a rule, and that's why the book was so large. "Stop!" Dylan said after she read the third rule aloud.
She furrowed her brows he watched her disgustingly like shit was on her body.
"Go home and read the rules, you're resuming fully on Monday" he said, her mouth opened ready to mutter a word, he interrupted "With your luggages" he added, Claribel nodded, standing up,
"How about my pay?? " She asked confidently, Dylan scrunched up his brows
"What the...!"
"You haven't even started working" he scoffed and she sighed
"I know but..."
"Ten thousand dollars per week" he said and gasped, did I hear him right?? her subconscious mind screamed but her ears were obviously not deceiving her, his words were clear.
"That's a huge sum of money" she smiled broadly.. he scoffed, "leave now, resume as early as six.. don't get me late for work" he said with a straight face. "Six...!! I won't enjoy my sleep" she thought biting her lower lip. "do you understand!" He raised his voice a bit, "Sure" she flashed a short smile.
She hugged the book closely to her chest and bowed slightly, Andrea pecked her cheeks as she bowed..
She smiled "Bye nanny", "Bye" she replied and left without looking back... Not even once.

Chairman Langford's Mansion...
"I see no reason why you keep insisting on what we both know it's wrong" Chairman James yelled at his wife, Sophia.
She heaved a sigh wishing the old man should at least give her a chance to convince him.
"There's nothing wrong in allowing him fall in love again, he's not a baby for Pete's sake, he's old enough to choose his bride!!" Sophia yelled back feeling her throat itching immediately, she shouted too much.
Chairman James laughed shortly, "Listen to yourself woman, just listen" he paused.
"You and I know falling in love has been his greatest fear for the past six years and you still keep mentioning that god-damned word?? "Sophia sighed, he's right. "But.." She tried saying, "no buts, The Wilson's has spoken to their daughter Brinkley and luckily she agreed, they are getting betrothed to each other in a couple of days" he said hoping his annoying wife will just agree without arguing.
Sophia stared him blankly "Are you even a father.."
"Huh..!" "yeah, because you don't act like on, tell me, who on earth would want to marry a popular drug addict, Who??!, besides, he doesn't even know her well!" She complained. James scoffed, "Who is the irresponsible parent here??.
Andrea has been without a mother for six good years and Dylan hasn't made an attempt to love another woman, not even to talk about remarrying!
All you both do is to feed that poor girl with lies, she'll definitely know the truth one day.
Betrothal is the next option if he's not ready to pick a bride himself.
I need a grand son and a mother to my grand daughter" James said at once hitting his fists on the desk.
Sophia was confused of what to do or say next, he seems right but being betrothed is something she would never agree to.
"And you think Dylan will embrace that idea of yours" She smirked.
Chairman James poured himself a glass of wine and gulped it all at once. He shrugged, "Ion care", "he's left with two options, it's either he marries Brinkley or he's deprived of his right my heir and he loses it to his younger brother...
Tristan" he said. Sophia eyes widened, "What do you think you are saying, you are so heartless James, for the love of noodles, he's our son, your son" she reprimanded.
"I know, that's why I'm doing what I'm supposed to do as a father" he said, as he walked away heading to his room as he ascended the stairs.
"So you're threatening him with what is rightfully his even when you know how serious he had been since he became the CEO" Sophia yelled, trying to catch up with him as she increased her pace on the stairs.
Chairman James entered his room and slammed the door hard on her face "Ion care" he said annoyingly, Sophia seethed, clenching her fists.
"This is so annoying!

Wilson's mansion...
"Brinkley tell me you've stopped taking drugs" Mavis, her brother said pouring himself a cup of orange juice from the fridge, he threw her a popcorn and she tore it smiling broadly as she tore it's wrapper stuffing it into her mouth.
A maid massaged her white legs gently while the other was braiding her blonde hair, she turned to Mavis "Come on mav, I'm two hours sober" she winked and he turned to her with a stare that was unexplainable..
"What?? I'm trying" she shrugged fixing her gaze back on the TV show.
Mavis shook his head "Well, I overheard dad talking about you getting betrothed to the Langford's older son, you're agreeing to that?" He asked staring at her blankly expecting a quick reply.
Brinkley nodded, smiling dryly "Yeah sure...Why?"
Mavis sipped from the content in his cup, walking to the nearest couch, he sat
"nothing" he grinned. Brinkley knew he had something crazy in mind. " I know he dislikes drugs addi¢t but sincerely I can't help it, I would fall seriously sick in a day without it" she said, the maids scoffed silently. "Then go to the rehabilitation house!!!" Mavis said raising his voice.
"Rehab..?? Heavens forbid" she shook her head negatively. "Whatever it is, Dylan Langford is mine" she winked.
Mavis nodded
"Yeah, totally yours" he added sarcastically with a smirk and she rolled her eyes.
***********
Two days later?
Dylan Langford's mansion...
Claribel wheeled her old bag after her as she walked into the mansion, She was cladded in a simple grey gown, her long brown hair was packed up in a high ponytail and her pink lips was wearing a lip gloss but she's wore no facial make up, she's beautiful.
"Good morning boss" she muttered, bowing slowly as she sighted Dylan on his laptop, she stared at him and watched his fingers pressed the keys fast. She scoffed as he gave no reply like she doesn't even exist.
"I'm not late am I?" She questioned taking a swift glance at her wristwatch."Go dress her up for school, I hate sluggishness" he said simply without looking up... Not even for a second. She glared"Jerk" her lower lip trembled.
"You had your bath already?" She said staring at him in singlets and blue pants
Dylan looked up immediately, shooting her a glare that made her flinch slightly.
"Go prepare her for school" he said again .
" I don't know her room" she said trying to be more polite,"third room in the second floor, your room is directly opposite hers" he said and she nodded slowly and headed upstairs.
"Hey" she stopped on her tracks, "hope you read all the rules?? " he asked and she sighed, "yeah, I did" She rolled her eyes and turned back to the stairs proceeding to climb. "Hey" he called again, she breathed out impatiently "pass me that" he pointed to a glass of wine on the glass table, beside him!, Claribel scoffed and took some steps back to the table before handing over the cup to him, he muttered no thanks though.
She glared daggers at him as she ascended the stairs heading to Andrea's room. She couldn't help admiring the mansion, it was really beautiful.
"This must be her room" she knocked on the door gently. "Dad?? " She could hear Andrea groan from the bathroom, "It's Claribel, your nanny" she smiled, the little girl ran to the door, unlocking it immediately.
The door opened widely and their smiles mirrored each other.
"Nanny" she squealed hugging her tightly, Claribel entered the room fully and her eyes scanned the whole room. Almost everything was in pink colour. "So beautiful".
Claribel quickly jolted out of her thoughts.
"You need to have your bath now, have you brushed your teeth?" "Yeah" Andrea nodded. "Good, so remove your clothes, I can't touch you, I haven't washed my hands" Claribel said. Andrea nodded and suddenly looked up, let's bath together"she said.
"What???! " Claribel eyes widened. "I had my bath already"she looked away, Andrea pouted childishly returning back to bed.
"Hey!" Claribel snapped.
"I'm going no where then" She said covering her self up with the pink duvet. Claribel sighed
"But..."
"No buts!"
"It's wrong you know?? " Claribel tried convincing her. "I know, go tell dad that I'm going nowhere okay?" Andrea rolled to the other side of the bed.
Claribel stared at her for a minute oblivious of what to do next Her dad and now her...!!
"Geez"
"Okay fine" Claribel said, the little girl smiled jumping out of the bed and winked cutely. "We move!" She said running into the bathroom, pulling her along.
*********
Forty Five minutes later.....
Dylan groaned frustratingly as he glanced at his wristwatch for the umpteenth time. "What the h'll is she still doing??!! " he yelled at no one in particular.
The chief maid bowed slightly, "I'll check on them" she proceeded to ascending the stairs, he heaved a deep sigh adjusting his tie,
"I'll go instead " he said. Ann stopped on her tracks turning back to him, "Ohh" she muttered and returned to the kitchen, Dylan breathed heavily before climbing the stairs heading to the room.
He heard their giggles from the passage, "don't tell me she's still bathing her" his mind screamed as he walked closer to the door, he knocked but no one answered.
His fingers curled up on it's knob and slowly he opened the door.
Coincidentally, Claribel was just coming out of the bathroom with one of Andrea's towels that stopped right on her mid thigh, she was dripping so wet and her long white legs looked sexy. Her hair was wet, messy and sticking to her face making her look so hot.
"Andrea why ar..." His words got stuck in his throat when his eyes met hers, Claribel gasped. His eyes widened as his eyes travelled round her body.
"What the h'll!!!"
"What on earth!!!" Dylan's eyes widened, Andrea came out of the bathroom immediately. "Dad...!" She squealed."I've told you to always knock before entering my room!! ".
"How dare you bathe your dirty self in my daughter's bathroom, come to think of it, you guys bathe together!!" He yelled furiously ignoring Andrea's words.
Claribel only wished the ground should open and swallow her immediately, she bowed her head ignoring his gaze.
"Dad, please leave!" Andrea raised her voice a bit.
"I'm late for work and you know it. It's your first day and you're already behaving foolishly?? who do you think you are??!! " he yelled loudly this time.
