BILLIONAIRE'S SURROGATE.

" Where's Emily?"

A woman in her mid forties hurried down the stairs with a phone in her left hand. She held the tip of her night gown with the right hand as she hurried down.

" Emily!" She shouted her name. A young lady of 19 came out from a room rubbing her eyes and yawning.

" Tina, where's Emily?" The woman asked her and she rolled her eyes.

" How would I know?" She sat down on the couch stretching her arms.

" Emily!" Her voice echoed through the house and Tina who was on the Couch covered her ears with her hands.

" Come on Mum!" She stamped her feet on the carpet.

" I'm here" Said another lady coming out from the kitchen. " Emily, are you deaf?" The woman yelled at her.

" I'm sorry, Mum" She apologized. " Sorry for yourself. I just got a call from the hospital asking for the bills. What are you still waiting for?" She asked showing Emily the phone in her hand.

" I... I still haven't find a job. I can't find anyone, no one wants to take me even as a maid" She sighed Worriedly. " Are you kidding me? Do you expect a job to come looking for you here?" Tina giggled.

" Mum, I already told you to send her out of the house. She has no use" Tina rolled her eyes.

" I think this is the right time" She turned to Emily who was looking so pitiful. " Wait for me here" She entered the room under the stairs and within some minutes, came out with a file.

She threw the file at Emily and sat down on the couch.

" Go out there and find a job. If you don't pay for your Father's hospital bill today, Don't come home again!" She snapped her fingers and pointed to the door.

" But Mum..." Tina interrupted her. " Out!" She Yelled at Emily. " My phone is in the room" She said and Tina stood up. She went into Emily's room and came out with a bag.

" Here, your Phone is in there. Take this and leave!" She threw the bag at Emily and sat closer to her Mum.

Emily picked up her bag from the carpet, she removed the apron she was wearing and dropped it on the couch. She left the house feeling so sad.

Emily has lost her Mum when she was five and her step mum has turned her life in to a living hell. A day never passes by that her step mum and step sister never insulted her and called her a bastard.

Things got worse when her Dad fell ill and was admitted in the hospital. Her step mum Has refused to cater for her Dad's hospital bill even though she has the money.

Emily ran her fingers in her black Long hair. She gasped as she stood in front of the street waiting for a taxi.

" Do I even have Money?" She opened the bag but only her phone and identity card was there. " Dam nit!" She stamped her feet on the ground.

" I exhausted the last cash I have yesterday" She Sighed Bitterly and shook her head. " Oh Lord, help me" She prayed and started walking.

Emily and her Family lived in an estate a little far away from the city. It took her two hours trekking before she could reach inside the city.

" Where Should I go?" She pondered, looking at the companies ahead of her. She has already went to some of them for job but none was willing to hire her.

As she walked past the many companies, She saw another one in front of her and she increased her pace. Even she was surprised, she was walking in a hurry like she was being called for an interview.

" I hope I get it this time" She stepped inside the company because the gate was wide open. The inside was such a sight to behold. And when Emily stepped inside the reception, The cold aromatic scent that visited her nose made her Smiled.

" This is Good" And for a moment, she forgot her worries. " Are you here for the interview?" Came a voice behind her. Emily quickly turned around and a man in Black suit smiled at her.

" Ye...yes" She lied. Maybe she would be lucky to land a job there. " You came with your CV right?" The man asked again. " Yes sir, I did" She said and he nodded his head.

" Good, The Interview has already begun. You'll see an office by your left upstairs. That's where the interview is taking place" He said and hurried away. Everyone looked so busy as they were all in hurry.

" Wow! I'll pass this" She tightened her lips and went upstairs hurriedly. Emily took the corridor on the left just as the Man in suit has directed her. But as she walked on the corridor, she didn't see anyone or any office.

" There should be people Here" She turned to her back contemplating if she should walk ahead or turn back. Suddenly, she heard a voice ahead of her. " That's a voice"

She followed the voice and after some seconds, she stood in front of a door. It was the only door there but the voice has stopped.

" But..." Just then, she heard the voice again. This time, it was two voices. Emily moved closer, she held the door handle but their discussion made her not to turn it.

" Are you sure you can find the right person?" Said a Soothing manly voice. Emily closed her eyes as he spoke, she felt a tingling sensation down in her heart just by hearing the voice.

" Yes Boss. I'm sure I can find her. I know of a hospital that can provide us a surrogate" Said the other voice Emily followed.

" A surrogate?" She covered her mouth. " So the interview is about finding a surrogate? Maybe I should do it. I heard the pay can last for a fortune if you find the right person" She thought for a while.

" But would my Dad likes the idea?" She Clicked her tongue. " Why would my step mum say?" She pondered. " I won't even tell them. I'll take this Job" Emily turned the handle and pushed the door open.

" Who are you and what do you want?" The man that spoke last asked Emily who had just barged in to the office. " I'll take the job" She said without having another thought.

" What Job?" The man asked her. " Of being a surrogate" She blurted. All the time she was speaking, her eyes were on the Man that his back was turned on her. She wanted to see his face.

" Are you kidding me? Where did you..." Emily interrupted him. " I'm sorry for eavesdropping but I really need the job" She apologized.

" I'm sorry but..." He was interrupted again but this time, it wasn't Emily. It was the man she wanted to see his face.

Emily's eyes fell on him as he turned around. His face was as beautiful as the morning sun. His hair black, his nose pointed. Emily found herself staring at him. If not that she controlled herself, she would have found her self dribbling saliva.

" You said you would do it?" He asked her and she nodded her head. " Are you married?" He sat on the task chair.

" No" Emily answered, her eyes still fixed on him. " Where are your parents? You are still young" He said again and she Chuckled.

" I'm not young" She rolled her eyes. " Your parents?" The P. A asked her. She turned to him and scanned him from head to toe.

" What does this have to do with my parents?" She raised a brow. " We want to do it legally" She Sighed and shook her head.

" Please just take me, I can do what you want if you can pay me" She pleaded. " What's your name?" The P.A asked.

" My name's Emily Louis and I'm 24" She said to him. " Boss, what's your say?" He asked the Boss.

" What's your price?" He asked Emily who was desperately waiting for his response. " I... I've never done this before" She hesitated for a moment. Her Dad's bills was 2k dollars and that's the only Money she wants.

" 2k Dollars" She said and the P. A exchanged glances with his Boss. " 2k Dollars?" He asked Surprisingly. " Yes" Emily Answered nervously.

" Are you sure you can do this? Do you even know what you are going to do?" He asked her.

" Yes I know. It's only to carry a baby for nine months" She shrugged her Shoulder. " 2k Dollars is nothing. I want a healthy baby" He shook his head.

" I don't think She can do it" The Boss said and Emily fell on her knees. That was her only chance. If she wants her Dad to get well, she has to do whatever it would take to raise the money.

Her Dad was the best Dad every child could wish to have. He loved her so much and always tried to make her happy. If not for him, Emily wouldn't have gone to the college.

" I swear I can do whatever it takes. Is the money too much?" She rubbed her palms together. " The Money is too small" Said the Boss.

" Then what are you going to pay? Please help me" She pleaded. He took pity on her and gestured to her to stand on her feet.

" I'll pay a million dollars" Emily nearly fell on the floor. She was shocked, never in her life has she seen a Thousand dollars talk more of million dollars.

" Million do...dollars?" She Stammered. " Yes, A million Dollars. If you are ready, you can sign the contract now"

" I'm ready , please bring the Document" She dropped her file on the table Excitedly. " Here" He brought out a document from the Table drawer and dropped it on the table.

" Go through the contract first before signing" He requested but Emily didn't want to waste time on that. " No need" She picked up a pen from the table and signed it.

" Done. Now the Money" She said recapping the pen. " My P. A will go with you and give you the money" He took the Document from the table and put it back inside the drawer.

" Ron, Take her with you" He said and The P.A bowed his head a little. " Let's go, Miss Emily" He said and she picked up her file.

" Thank you so much Mr., I won't fail you" She hurried out of the office excitedly. Just as they exited the office, Emily saw the man that directed her to that office.

" What took you there?" He asked her after bowing to the P. A. " You told me to go to the left" She was surprised. " Oh My God, I'm so sorry. I meant to say the right"

" But..." Ron interrupted her. " She Came to see the Boss" He waved the Guy away and turned to Emily who was looking so confused.

" Let's go" He said and she followed him down the stairs. They went to the underground parking lot, That was Emily's first time of seeing that in real life. Even the cars there were different. She wondered the kind of Money that man possessed to own all that.

" Please enter" He opened the front door for her. Emily sat on the seat and he closed the door. " Wow!" She exclaimed. " Wait till Dad hears of this..." She paused when he entered the car.

" The Money?" She asked him and he smiled. " Don't worry , Miss Emily. We are going to the bank now, I'll have to transfer the money to your account" He said and she nodded her head.

Ron took Emily to the bank and the transaction took place. She went to the hospital, paid for the bills and went to see her Dad where he was lying unconscious.

Emily sat on a chair Beside the bed , she held his hand in hers and kissed it.

" Dad, I paid for the bills" She said Excitedly. " You would be wondering where I got the money right? I'm sorry I don't know if you'll be happy to hear it or not. Dad, Please you have to make it out of the surgery room. I won't be here to see you" She wiped the tears on her face.

She kissed his hand and stood up from the plastic chair. Emily looked at her Dad once again, she waved to him and left the room.

She returned back home to her Step mum and step sister. Emily stood in front of the house before opening the door. She thought of what to tell them.

" Did you paid the bill?" Her step mum asked her immediately she stepped inside the house. " Yes" Emily answered. " Good for you" She didn't even raise up her head to look at Emily who was looking at her.

" I... I got a job" Emily Stammered. " Do you expect to just get the money without securing a job?" Her step mum scoffed.

" I'll be moving out" She said and her step mum raised up her head. " Emily, you can go wherever you want to go. I don't care. The only thing I needed from you was to clear the bills so that my dear husband would have his surgery and come home. Go Serve as a slave or whatever , I don't give a damn" She stood up from the couch and went upstairs.

Tears dropped from her eyes, She was used to the maltreatment from her step mum. But she just want her to at least say something nice to her because she was moving out of the house.

Emily went to her room, she started parking her clothes inside a travel bag. It didn't take her time to park up because she has nothing compared to her Sister who had tons of dresses.

Emily looked at her cage like room and smiled.

" I'll missed you the most" She took in a deep breath and left the house. Her Step mum wasn't in the sitting room and she was so scared to go to her room to bade her good bye.

Emily bumped in to her sister on her way going out of the house.

" Are you moving out?" Tina asked with a smirk. " Yes, I got a job and..." She cut her off. " Spare me the little talk." Tina heaved a sigh of relief.

" This is so Good, please do not return back again" She entered the house and shut the door on Emily's face.

" Oh well, freedom at last" Emily dragged her bag out of their Mini gate. Ron was waiting for her in the car and when he saw her, he hurried out and helped her with the bag.

" Is this all?" He asked her. " Yes" She nodded her head. He put the bag on the back seat and Emily sat beside the bag. She rested her head on the seat as he drove out of the estate.

Some minutes later, They arrived at a house. Ron took her Inside. It was a two bedroom apartment with a fenced gate.

" A Doctor will explain the procedure to you later. Feel free to ask me of anything you need." He gave her his card and left the house leaving her alone.

" New Life. I pray Dad's surgery should be successful" She sighed deeply , scanning the room with her eyes.

10 MONTHS LATER

" Mr. Harry, we can't find her!" One of the hospital nurse that conducted the delivery ran out of the delivery room to the Doctor's office Worriedly.

" What do you mean by that?" Harry asked sitting on a Sofa in the Doctor's office. " Where's Emily and the Child?" The Doctor asked the Nurse who just barged in to his office.

" Emily is gone, she ran away with the baby" The Nurse repeated. " She what!" Harry Sprang up from the Sofa. " If you are playing pranks on me, You Should stop it now!" He yelled at the Lady.

" Mr. Harry, please calm down. I'll take care of this" The Doctor Said and he turned to the Nurse who was already in tears. " How did she run away? What did you say to her?" The doctor asked her.

" I wanted to take the child from her but she refused and then I explained to her that the child isn't hers. She told me to give her some times to say goodbye to the child not knowing she would run away with him"

" This is Confusing. Didn't you explained things to her?" The doctor asked Harry. " Everything was in the Document" He Inhaled deeply.

" Find her, she Mustn't run away with my child!" He yelled and Ron Entered the office. " Sir, Miss Emily isn't in the room" He said and Harry turned to him.

" She ran away. Find her!" He Commanded. Ron Hurried out of the room and Harry turned to the Doctor. " Find Emily or your Hospital would be shut down!" He Yelled at him and flounced out of the office.

Earlier on after Emily has given birth, The nurse came to take the baby from her but She wouldn't give the child to the nurse.
