CHAPTER ONE

I tried getting up but Kate hands holds me down. I looked around the room .

Its a four corner room with one window which is burglary prof. The room is not well ventilated and we are ten sleeping in the room which makes it uncomfortable.

I hate remembering how I got here. It was on my thirteenth birthday ,I was do happy that day my mom and dad took a day off from work and they asked me where i would love to go for my birthday,i wish I hadn't chosen to go to the amusement park .

We were all having fun when we noticed people running for shelter it seamed like a gang fight.My dad brought out his gun to help the other police officers tame the gang ,it was going well my mother managed to get us to safety but we never saw my dad come out from the park.

I couldn't possibly leave my dad back there I ran back to where the shooting took place ,I saw my dad on the floor with a lot of blood flowing from his head. My mom knelt beside me crying.

The next thing I heard was a gun shot and it hit my mom, all the blood drained from my body.My mom told me to run and she gave me a necklace which had a key as it's pendant.

But I failed my mom I couldn't run fast,that's how i ended here.Everybody has their own story to tell .

I push Kate's body off mine,she is a bad sleeper .

"Is it morning already."she says rubbing her eyes.

"Yes miss sleepy heads ,am going to take a shower now before the bathroom get crowded."I told her and left the room

I always wake up early in the morning so that I can monitor everywhere, havw been doing that for five years now .

Well have been trying to escape from this place since I got here . Been brought up in my kind of family came with advantages and disadvantages my mother was a state detective and my dad was a police officer.

One of the disadvantages is the constant moving from one place to another which made me not to have friends. And the advantages is that i can read somebody through their eyes and tell what they are trying to do,secondly my skils with gun is very amazing, my dad taught me how to use guns and knives to defend myself and I can also fight well.

"Hey ,you were are you going."A male voice interrupts my thought.

"To take a bath .."I said rolling my eyes at him.

"Isn't it too early to walk around."he said looking at me lustfully.

"Isn't it too early for drooling on a girls body."she said looking at him directly.

"You little brat."The guard said grabbing my hands.

"Let me go ..."I said shouting.

"What's going on here."we both turned.

When I turned i thanked God silently, it was one of the caretakers.

"He was dragging me and I don't know what vhw wants from me."I said trying to implicate him,he deserves it.

"That wasn't want happen." he tried explaining his actions to her .

"Tell that to your Superiors ."she said dailing a number on her phone.

"Please don't call him,he will just kill me."He said kneeling.

"Well why didn't you think of that before doing otherwise, you know Mr B doesn't play with his girls right."she said eyeing him.

I like forgetting the part that we are sex slaves .Mr B who I have never met is the owner of this building he claims is an orphanage so that he can avoid the government.Once in a year they come and we have to lie to them about our well being sometimes i just feel like screaming out everything to their face ,I know it isn't going to end well.

"What up girl I heard Theressa has been bought."Kate said in a whisper .

That's what happen here the girls are bought for sex service and sometimes they return them when they are tired of using them.Just like me the man that bought me was an old man me got tired of me fighting him so he returned me .

"I just hope she is okay."I said sighing.

"There's something you also need to know."she said avoiding eye contact with me.

"What's is it Kate....Tell me."I half yelled.

"promise me you wouldn't get all angry and break anything "she likes making me promise and i kinda like it.

"Ok ..what is it ."I said rolling my eyes.

"I overheard the caretakers talking about you ."she said as if asking me for permission to continue."

"Go on."I said

"You are to be sold next week ."she said rushing her words."

"I know you feel angry but maybe you could run away if you leave this place."she continued.

"I don't www want to leave here....not without you am not sure I will be able to survive ."I said tears threatening to fall.

"Well you could make him return you ."she said trying to make me smile.

"You know ,they told me I would be beheaded if anyother client returns me."I said sadly.

"That's bad ."she just said.

Its been a week and have been acting normal so that they don't know am planning on running away.

"Kate i want you to come with me when i escape from here."I told kate looking around.

"Well I don't know ."she said trying to make a decision.

"Don't you want to leave this place."

"I want to but if the both of us leave it would be easy for then to catch us."she said.

"Both we would stick together."I told her.

"No,we both can't the best thing is that you go first and come back for us."she said hugging me.

"Are you sure, what if i don't come back."I said.

"I know you would come back."she said smiling.

she loves smiling.

Chapter Two

I was just waiting for everyone to sleep so that o can sneak out of this place ,I know its going to be hard but if I don't leave here this night I might be dead the next day.

"Hey, Kate let's leave now."I said trying to wake Kate up.

"What is the matter are the guards here to take us."she said sleepy .I know she always get nightmares even me .

"No its not the guards ,wake up and listen to me."I said shaking her .

"Ohh Beth is you."she said rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"Yea its me,remember our plan ."I said looking round incase anyone is seeing us.

"Yes but it can't be this night ."Kate said with her eyes almost falling out.

"Well this night is perfect ,all the guard are out drinking which makes it easy to jump the fence."I said trying to convince her.

"Am not sure I can come with you Beth."she said sadly

"Why???."I half yelled at her

"Well I know you have been planning to run away since I don't want to hold you back or even worse ."she said closing her eyes.

That Kate's own way of holding her tears, she has a sister to me since i was brought here .

"I know you will come back for me, so go now before it's too late."she said

"I can't leave you Kate please come with me."I said pleadingly

"Not this time Beth ,I will get them distracted."

"Are you sure about this."I looked at her

"Yes."she said simply

"Take this its the address of the place I was working before they brought me here."she said handing me a paper.

"Thanks i will do everything in my power to bring justice to us all."

"Beth.. ,bye and please don't tell anyone anything about me ,if case anyone asks."

The way she said my name made it feel like the last time I will get to hear that name.

I looked around the room,it has four corners with only one window which was burglary proofed ,the only way out was through the door .

I managed to steal the keys from a guard who we flirting with me all day.I looked back and make was already sleeping(which am not sure).

Well my only problem is the gurard at the door he is asleep anyways but any slight noise could attract his attention which I don't want.

I opened the door slowly and found him fast asleep on the chair, i passed him and made my way to the back door, as I expected it was free.I claimed the fence which we high but I don't care I just want to get far away from here.

When I jumped down I sprained my ankles ,the pain was nothing compared to the torture we go through in the orphanage home.

"Help me please..."I scream at a car passing when i got far from the building.

I didn't expected him to stop.

Where am i ...the bed feels soft....i smell drugs well I can tell any hard drugs just by the smell .And this smells like cocaine,I quickly get up from the bed.

"Hello who is in there !!!."I screamed out

"Hey chill ,you look tired and weak."the stranger said smiling at me and i dont like that smile.

"I need water."I just blurted out

He Smiles and gave me the cup in his hands.

"I said water not alcohol you freak."I didn't know when I said that."

"Waoah I like the feistiness."he said smiling.

"Just give me water ...,please"I added

After eating and resting well i looked around the room it looks like a brothel.Why do tend to end up with the bad guys.

"So do mind telling me what a young and beautiful girl is doing at that location at night."he said looking at me

"Nothing i was lost."I told him looking away

"You know that you are terrible at leing."he said smiling

I remembered Kate and a sudden sadness creep into my body.

"Do you always smile like this."I blurted out.

"You are feisty ,likes questions .I like you already."he said

"You didn't add the part that am pretty."I said .

Am not intimidated by anybody,I always talk when I feel it's right which made me a black sheep in the orphanage. I hate the fact that my mind keeps drifting to that place,I just hope Kate is okay.

"Do you know this place."i said showing him the paper Kate gave me.

"Who gave you that."This is the first timeam seeing him angry.

"Why do you want to know."I snapped back at him.

"This is my note and my handwriting I gave it to my girlfriend so that she can meet me at my bar, and that was the last time I saw her."He said the last part sadly and I saw tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

"Well I saw it on the road and i picked it up."i said bitting my bottom lip.

"You are bad at telling lies,just tell me where you got the notes from."He said looking at me intensely.

"I can't, i promised not to tell."I said looking away from his gaze.

"Its Kate right,she always make people promise ."He said smiling

I don't know if I should trust this guy who claims to be Kate's boyfriend. He left the room and came back with a photo album.

"I know you probably don't believe me right now so this would clear your mind a little i guess."He said handing the album to me.

After looking at the pictures I felt sad.He told me everything about their relationship and what led to her disapprance. He told me that they both quarreled that night and she left and that was the last time he saw her.

I felt guilty not telling him about Kate

"Can I get a glass of water I told him."he nods and left the room.

"Thanks."I said taking the water from him

CHAPTER THREE

Three weeks with jack and I think am falling in love with him ,i know am being selfish but its a new experience for me .

He has been a good guy to me since he helped me but i still feel guilty not telling him about kate.Maybe am just jealous of their relationship.

"Hey pretty."Jack said smiling at me.

"Hey yourself."

I just can't help but feel lost in his Greg eyes ,the way he looks at me want to make me jump on him and do dirty things with him.

"What are you thinking of so deeply."he said waving his hands at me.

"You..."i blurted out.

I tried covering my mouth but I already said it and I feel shy already.

"There's no need for you to feel shy ,I think of you too."he said holding my hands.

"Really."I said looking at him.

"Yea ,you are pretty and I can't stop imagining your skin on mine .."He said I can feel his breath fanning my skin.

"Uhmm can we not do this ,I can't betray her."I said shifting back.

"I understand .."He said looking away.

"Well if you me to move its fine but give me time to find a place."I said .

"No that not what I was going to do ."he said smiling at me.

"Well that settles it ,am hungry."I said rubbing my stomach.

"Then let's go grab a bite somewhere."He said grabbing my hand.

"No, am not going with you ."I said .

"Why its been weeks since you came here you dont agree to go out are you running from the cops or what."He asked with a questioning look.

"I can't tell you."

"Why!!!."He yelled.

"I promised kate,she she made me promise not to get you involved with all this ."I said hitting my lips.

"All what and am capable of taking care so my self ,look am in a powerful gang o joined them three years ago after kate disappeared."He said sitting at the edge of the bed.

"What do you mean."I said sitting down on a chair opposite him.

"Well I wanted you to tell me about her wayabouts so that I can be sure of my plans before implimating them."He said.

"So you know where we were all this while."I said shocked.

"Yes just wanted to confirm."He said

"How did you find out because those people are sneaky."I said surprised.

"I know a way out."he said.

"Which is ?."I asked.

"I will take you to our hideout tomorrow and they will help us."he said .

"Ok tomorrow it is ."

Jack has been driving for hours and have been asking him questions since.Am a little bit scared what if he is taking me back .

"Are we getting closer."I asked looking out the window trying to observe the area.

"We are almost there so stop been scared."he said with his eyes still focused on the road.

We finally arrived at an abandoned warehouse .through the corners of my eyes I saw the pass word he typed in and the door opened.

Am really an observant person, during the drive here i already planned my escape route how many guards are at the door and at the main entrance and lastly that movement of the security cameras. Pretty smart, I know.

"Well if its isn't my good friend jack who else would be disturbing me at this hour."A tall man walked in .

"Am sorry for my disturbance."He said bowing.

"You are forgiven,did you bring me a snack as a Compensation."He said staring at Bethany lustfully.

"Well no she is a friend ,she escaped from Mr B property o thought I should bring her ."he said.

"You must be pretty smart to get pass his security."he said surprised.

"Its no big deal ,I just had to wait for the right time."I said.

"How long has he had you."He asked me.

"Five years."I said nonchalantly.

ack you did a good job bringing her here she would be of good help to us."He said with a grin .

"So what's the deal."I said looking at him.

"You know for years have been trying so hard to bring Brooks down and I think with your help its finally coming to pass."

"I don't get it."

"let me introduce myself properly, my name is Salvador the leader of this mafia group and the Brooks are the overall leaders ,am tired of being the second I want to be the first."He said.

"So how am I involved here."I asked folding my hands across my chest.

"You have been with them for five years ,you even managed to escape so you probably know the way things are done there."

"And......???."

"You will help us in killing Brooks and your friends are free."he said

"Its a win -win."he added.

"Am not sure this is a good idea."I said.

"Why do you think so."

"Because am very sure the securities has been doubled of not triples."

"So .."Jack said.

"The best option is to lure them out of their base."I said.

"How can we so that."Jack asks me.

'We use what they want to get what we need."

"Which is."Jack interrupts me again.

"They want me back ,I know that am their biggest bid and the boss would kill them of they didn't find me by tomorrow night."I said looking at the both of them.

"What do you think would happen when you call them telling them that you found me ."

"You sure are brilliant."Salvador says smiling.

"I know."I said

"So tomorrow we will attack them and you get your friends"He said.

'That's the plan."I.said yawning.

"Well we would be passing the night here."Jack tells me.

"Ok."I managed to say.

Am so Happy am going to get my normal life soon.

After some minutes I walk around the place and I saw him entering a secret room,He looked like he didn't want anyone to know especially me.

I already have a bad feeling about this plan.
