However, since it had already happened and dhe wanted the marriage to have the happy ending she had dreamed of, Lavendra finally decided to fight to win Daza's heart. She tries to make Daza fall in love with him, even though it is very difficult because Lora keeps bothering her. Lavendra sacrificed a lot of time and energy to win her husband's heart until, without realizing it, Lavendra felt tired of what she had been through. She felt stupid and hopeless. "Turns out I was too naive to dream of a sweet wedding."

Chapter 1 Theatrical Wedding

"Remember, we are only married until I receive my grandfather's inheritance! After that, we will end this marriage and you must never appear before me!" said Daza, Lavendra's husband, who had just been inaugurated less than 2 hours ago.

This sharp look made Lavendra very unhappy. Even though she knew that this marriage was Daza's grandfather's last wish so that the inheritance could be handed over to Daza. She feels very sad. The dream of a happy marriage is just wishful thinking at this point.

She didn't answer, and that made Daza angry. He immediately grabbed Lavendra's chin and made her look into Daza's very frightening eyes.

"Answer me! And I assure you, don't ever touch me! Because I won't!" he stressed.

He immediately punched Lavendra in the face. She was thoughtful when she realized that this was all just an act. In fact, Daza's family was quite fond of her, and even let her believe that Daza might be able to accept her in the future.

"I think your answer should be yes," Daza said.

The man got up and walked towards the entrance. Lavendra heard the sound of the doorbell being pressed from outside. He looked in that direction. Who came, even if it was supposed to be their first night as a bride and groom?

As soon as the door was opened, a woman appeared who was quite sexy and also very beautiful. Judging by looks alone, Lavedra lost by a long shot. The woman came in with a big smile, immediately hugged Daza and kissed him on the cheek.

"How are you, darling?" She greeted.

What? Darling? Did Lavendra hear that right? She immediately lifted her head and looked at the woman. The two humans looked at her as well. The woman even looked happy that Lavendra saw her. She kissed the face of the man who was now her husband again.

Lavendra's hands trembled as she saw them. She didn't know that Daza already had a girlfriend. Even Daza's family said that Daza had been single for a long time, that's why Lavendra was ready to accept him! How is that..., she was really shaking.

The woman approached Lavendra. She looked at herself very arrogantly while smiling victoriously.

"Listen, don't think of yourself as a wife! You were only married because of Daza's grandfather. Don't you dare touch him, let him sleep alone. I can kill you if you dare," the woman warned.

For some reason, the words made her shudder. Lavendra realized that they must really be after that large inheritance for this woman to be willing to let Daza marry her. Lavendra's self-esteem was shattered.

"Oh, one more thing, I'm Lora. I will replace you after the inheritance falls into Daza's hands," she continued.

The woman named Lora immediately turned around and approached Daza. They came out and disappeared behind the door. It was as if the dream of being the only woman worth having had vanished in the blink of an eye.

Lavendra's common sense couldn't accept it. It still feels like a dream that wasn't supposed to come true today. This reality hit her common sense. It collapsed.

Lavendra knelt and couldn't hold her legs. She sobbed, her chest felt tight, and her vision felt blurred. Even in Daza's house, Lavendra screamed as loud as she could. She was completely devastated.

"Why!! Why do I have to get all this! I have never done anything wrong, my God! What kind of trials are you giving me, who has obeyed you all this time!" cried Lavendra.

Has she been bad all this time? Does she not share enough? Is she less filial? Then why does God seem to turn a blind eye and give her a marriage that is far from happy? It feels like Lavendra is like a mistress.

That night was heartbreaking. Lavendra could only cry on the sofa as she repeatedly regretted her decision to accept Daza. The man who came to her parents in all sincerity has now become a double-edged sword for her. He is not a protector, but a destroyer.

What if my father and mother find out that their daughter is just being played, even though they were very happy when they let me marry,' Lavendra thought.

Before she noticed, she had fallen asleep on the sofa, her eyes puffy and wearing clothes she hadn't changed. She was too hurt to move her body to the room, or even to take a shower. The world is not the same.

The next day, with her face still swollen, Lavendra heard the doorbell ring. She immediately got up and went to the door. The bell rang repeatedly, causing Lavendra to rush and accidentally open the door.

How surprised she was when she saw Daza's father and grandfather! Her face, still dirty from not having had time to go to the bathroom, was seen by her in-laws who had come to visit.

"Lavendra... where is Daza?" Papa asked.

"So-and-so, so-and-so, that's it, Dad..." Lavendra was nervous and confused. She didn't know how to answer her father-in-law's question.

The grandfather's sigh still sounded very light. He entered, then invited Lavendra in while holding Lavendra's shoulder. Of course, she was confused. They walked into the living room. It felt as if Lavendra couldn't even prepare a small drink right now.

"Daza went out with a woman again?" Grandpa asked.

She was surprised to hear what Grandpa said. Her eyeballs were shaking. Her thoughts were already confused. Could it be... did they know this too? But even if they knew, why did they still marry Daza to her?

Even though Lavendra could actually lie to preserve her husband's dignity, Lavendra felt no need to do so. After all, they already knew that Daza had another woman. So Lavendra nodded her head.

The disappointment of the two middle-aged men was clearly visible on her face. The grandfather, however, was filled with very strong anger. Now, she really seemed to be an unusual person.

"That boy... how could he agree to get married and still have a relationship with that cheap woman! If I knew that, I would definitely not let Daza marry you!" the grandfather said firmly.

Lavendra's heart, which had felt sore and broken, suddenly felt very light. There was someone who seemed to be on her side for now. This regret is too great to return. The atmosphere became quiet again.

Grandfather looked at Lavendra, his reassuring look trying to tell her something. Lavendra, who was shocked to hear those words, didn't really know what was going through Grandpa's mind to be able to tell him that.

"Lavendra, come to the company tomorrow.Work there.I want to see how persistent he is in wanting this inheritance.

Chapter 2 Two-blade Knife

Lavendra couldn't just agree with what Grandpa said. What's the point of going in there? In fact, Lavendra might feel even more uncomfortable with Daza's behavior, who doesn't like to be around her.

Lavendra immediately shook her head, unable to agree with what she said, "Sorry, Grandpa, but I don't want to mess up the company just because of that.

Grandpa didn't seem to accept the refusal of Lavendra, who had tried to speak to her subtly. In fact, she would be very unhappy if what she had just said was revealed. Lavendra was increasingly afraid to raise her head.

"This is an order! If you screw up, it's okay, I won't blame you. I will be responsible for everything that happens to you and you in the future!" he stressed.

Really depressed. Lavendra can only hold her own hands to be stronger in the face of all this. Like it or not, Lavendra accepted Grandpa's orders, even though she felt uncomfortable having to take them.

Grandpa and Papa went home after negotiating without inviting Lavendra. By mutual agreement, they decided to install CCTV in the living room, kitchen and dining room, as well as on the second floor, covering the entire first floor.

Lavendra felt indirectly uncomfortable with all the cameras installed. He felt as if his every move was being watched, and as if he was being prevented from going anywhere. Papa gave him a short message that made Lavendra not know what to do.

"Make him fall in love with you, or make him unable to receive this inheritance. The choice is yours, son," the sentence seemed to ring in her head. She didn't know why her father-in-law had said that.

Lavendra immediately cleaned up and dressed as nicely as she could. It felt as if Lavendra had gained the strength to fight Daza after meeting her in-laws. There are people protecting her behind all this, so Lavendra should be stronger.

From downstairs, Lavendra heard the door open. Lavendra came out of the room to find that her husband had just come home. He came alone, without the woman from yesterday. From the look on his face, Daza seemed very happy for some reason.

Lavendra immediately went down to the first floor to greet her husband. Trying to act as if nothing was wrong, Lavendra was not the least bit afraid. Daza's expression changed immediately when he saw Lavendra coming down the stairs.

"What else do you want?" he asked curtly.

"Say hello to my husband, of course. Where were you last night? Why are you coming home now?" Lavendra asked.

Looking away, annoyed by all these questions, Daza replied curtly, "None of your business. Besides, our relationship won't last long," Daza said.

Even though Lavendra had tried to strengthen herself, she still felt sick every time Daza said with an implied meaning that this marriage was not the marriage he wanted. But Lavendra tried not to cry right away. She held back.

"But for now, we are husband and wife. What's wrong with greeting my own husband?" said Lavendra.

But for some reason, Daza immediately slapped Lavendra's face. PLAKKKH. Very hard and also feels numb. Lavendra was shocked by the sudden slap. She became increasingly frightened.

"Shut your filthy mouth! If you dare to say that I am your husband, I will not hesitate to make you suffer here!"

Lavendra immediately shut up. She didn't know that Daza could also physically abuse her. She hadn't expected it at all. Lavendra felt like she wanted to disappear after the slap on the cheek.

Daza walked away, leaving her alone. He went up to the 2nd floor to his room. Meanwhile, Lavendra still looked down in fear. It was unexpected that Daza was a person with such a rude attitude. She really didn't expect it at all.

"WHY DID YOU ENTER MY ROOM!!!" Daza shouted.

Suddenly, Lavendra turned around and her eyes fell on a door that showed the room he had entered. From inside, her bag, clothes, and all of her makeup were quickly tossed. Lavendra ran straight into the room. She felt even more nervous.

Just as she reached the 2nd floor, she saw Daza looking at her with a cold face. Walking towards him, Daza even had the heart to step on all of Lavendra's belongings on the floor. Stopping right in front of Lavendra, his hand pulled at Lavendra's chin.

"I didn't say you could come in my room. How dare you put all your things away? Go downstairs! There is a room under the stairs. Sleep there! Who are you to sleep in the same room as me?" he ordered, brushing Lavendra's face.

BrAKHH. Daza slammed the door to his own room shut. The fate of the newly married Lavendra is truly sad. Lavendra could only be silent. Immediately she picked up her things one by one and took them to the place Daza said.

It was not the room she had seen. But it was a small storeroom that happened to have a mattress in it. She didn't protest much. Lavendra still put all his things there. She still had time to clean everything so that he could sleep comfortably later.

It was getting late in the afternoon, Lavendra finished her activities. She came out to cook dinner. However, when she came out, Lavendra found that Daza was there, also with Lora, who was sitting in the living room hugging him while watching TV. Her body suddenly froze as she saw this scene.

The two people laughed a little while pointing at the big screen that was on. However, Lora, who took a look, realized that she had appeared. She immediately kissed Daza's lips, as if to show herself that Daza was her.

Wait... wait Lavendra, act normal,' she thought.

She smiled broadly and tried to ignore her racing heart, "I want to make dinner, do you want to?" Lavendra offered.

They both turned to look at Lavendra with cold and very empty faces. Occasionally they exchanged glances, then looked back at Lavendra with still blank faces.

"Be careful if you don't like it. I'll throw you out!" Daza snapped.

"Hahaha, that's nice, so there's a servant in this house," Lora continued.

Lavendra could only rub her chest as she listened to the two people. Be patient... this wedding hasn't even been over a week, it wouldn't be funny if this wedding just ended like that. Lavendra tried to appreciate Grandpa, who was very persuasive.

Finally, she cooked. When she was done, she called the two people and invited them to eat. They seemed to deliberately sit further away at the dining table from where Lavendra sat. He ate Lavendra's food.

"Tch!!" It wasn't anything yet, Lora had already smashed the food on the floor, "Is this crazy?! This isn't food! This is garbage!" screamed Lora. Then she turned to Daza, "You don't--"

It looks like Daza has already eaten Lavendra's cooking. The two women remained silent. Daza didn't show a reaction like Lora, who was already angry like before.

"Mmmm, it's delicious," Daza said.

Chapter 3 Feel Competitive

Hearing Daza's words, Lora suddenly felt jealous. She really couldn't accept that Daza had just praised Lavendra's cooking in a voice that wasn't as high as before. Lora quickly tried to push aside the plate of food in front of Daza.

GRAB. Daza immediately grabbed Lora's hand before she could grab the plate. Lavendra didn't know how to react. So she just stayed quiet and watched, while Daza ate her food bit by bit.

Lora looked at Daza with a face that was definitely very shocked, "What are you..."

"If you dare to disturb my food, I'll throw you out!" Daza snapped.

Lora shrank at that moment. She immediately sat down calmly, not daring to say anything. She really lost and of course she couldn't win anymore. Lavendra, who couldn't bear to see what had just happened, almost laughed at her.

"Pffftt," she almost laughed.

Realizing that she was about to laugh, Lora immediately looked at her with a rather cynical face and a look that was certainly not happy. Her hand holding the fork was clenched tightly.

Increasingly annoyed, Lora decided to leave the table. No, the woman didn't go into one of the other rooms, but out of the house. She hadn't really accepted Daza's words, which had been quite harsh.

It is deeply regretted. But Lavendra tried to ignore them. She looked at her husband, who was eating quietly. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the cooking. Then why did that person say that Lavendra's food was garbage?

"Next time, cook me breakfast," Daza said.

"Huh? What?" Lavendra was confused.

Daza, who had finished eating, looked at Lavendra. His anger from yesterday suddenly seemed to disappear. And now he could speak softly to himself.

"Make me breakfast or dinner some other time. It turns out that your cooking isn't bad either," Daza said.

Ishh, just say that Lavendra's food tastes good, what's so hard about that? Is he too proud to say that to himself, huh?

Lavendra didn't answer audibly, but she nodded her head. Daza left her immediately. Meanwhile, Lavendra immediately cleaned up the dining table and the rest of the furniture she had used. She then took a shower and locked herself back in her small room.

As she did so, Lavendra tried to remember the words of her visiting in-laws. Looks like there's no harm in trying to make Daza fall in love with her, right? Judging from the way he speaks, Daza is actually quite a good person, he can even be respectful. Could it be that Daza is like that because of that woman, right?

A message appeared on his cell phone. Soon Lavendra saw it. Unknown number. However, the content of the message immediately explains who the sender is.

(Tomorrow, just come directly to the StarryB company. Show this photo to the person in front of you later). The message reads, accompanied by a photo of the business card along with the signature and also the message.

Huhh, looks like she really has to work tomorrow. But no matter what, Lavendra has already made up her mind. She will try to make Daza fall in love with her! She was already married to Daza, so at least Lavendra wanted to make Daza a better person.

***

Huhhh, Lavendra is already standing in front of the company. She brought a small box with her along with the office supplies she had. Luckily she had worked like this before, otherwise she might have gone there for nothing.

She showed the photo and was immediately directed to his office. She was told where her seat would be, and he had also been told what kind of work would be appropriate for her there.

"Hello..., you are a new employee, yes?" who is the person next to her?

He smiled sincerely and gave the person a friendly look as well. "Hi too. Yes, my name is Lavendra," she replied.

"I'm Rosa. If you need anything, just let me know, okay?" She said.

Lavendra nodded her head. And it was true, she hadn't done anything yet and had been given a job that was no longer normal for new employees. But luckily she was able to do it.

The elevator door opened, Lavendra didn't look, didn't know who had just arrived. In fact, it turned out to be Daza. Unconscious, she didn't know that Daza was shocked to see herself sitting in a group of working employees.

Strangely enough, she was not called. Lavendra only found out when Rosa called her.

"Hey, crazy, it's nothing yet, it looks like the boss has marked you," Rosa said.

Lavendra turned to look at Rosa, "Oh, is that so? That's good, maybe my performance was good the first day, right?" she replied with a grin.

But for some reason, Lavendra was called by the manager after that. She was called the boss? Wow, what was the problem until she was called? However, since it was lunch time, Lavendra carried her lunch box as she walked towards the boss's room.

There was no fear at all, because Lavendra didn't feel like she had done anything wrong, and she hadn't done anything serious either. So why be afraid, right? Lavendra actually feels very, very brave right now. She entered the room of her boss.

Just as she entered, Lavendra saw Daza sitting there. It turns out that the boss who visited earlier was Daza. That's okay, after all, she didn't screw up, so there shouldn't be any problems, right? Lavendra approached, carrying the lunch box she had made.

"Hi, I brought lunch, would you like some?" Lavendra offered food impolitely.

Daza gave her a very sharp look. He looked at Lavendra as if she were a caterpillar who certainly didn't deserve to be there. He didn't move at all. What's wrong with him, right?

"You..."

"Ssshhhtt. It's lunchtime, we should eat. Do you want to?" asked Lavendra, interrupting. She immediately went to the sofa in Daza's room. She took out all the food she had brought on the table, "Today I made pop chicken with BBQ sauce," Lavendra said.

Seemingly curious, Daza came closer, although his face was still sour and not very happy at all. But when he saw the food Lavendra had brought, his face changed. Out of curiosity, Daza finally sat down.

Although she knew that her husband was still not happy with her presence, Lavendra immediately prepared the small plate she had brought. She gave Daza each piece of pop chicken. At first, the husband seemed reluctant to eat Lavendra's food. But since the smell was quite strong and definitely very tasty, Daza started to try it.

Even at the first bite, it was clear that he immediately opened his eyes to see how Lavendra had prepared the food. In fact, without even thinking, Daza took the rice she had brought. Lavendra was happy and ate as well.

But in the midst of the peace in which they ate, the air around them suddenly felt uncomfortable. And a few moments later, the door opened and someone came in with a happy face.

"Honey..., I bought a chicken for you..." the woman named Lora exclaimed with a happy face.
