Arranged Bride, Unexpected Love

Astra looked at herself in the mirror, she was getting married today it felt like a dream that she wanted to wake up from.

This decision was one of the hardest decisions she has made in her life.

She was going to marry her family's enemy who she despised so much that it was a neutral feeling for both parties.

It felt like she was no longer in control of anything happening to her.

And now she looked in the mirror and found a young girl dressed in a wedding gown.

She looked beautiful. The dress was stunning yet her heart felt like it was bleeding.

Her life felt like it was going to be over yet her gaze looked determined and strong.

She remembered sitting beside her grandfather, mopping his face with a towel because he was running temperature, she remembered holding his weak hands and her heart broke into a million pieces.

Then he opened his eyes and made her swear she was going to do what he asked of her if she loved him.

She swore to marry Knight that afternoon and no matter what happened she was going to show her grandad that she loved him so much and was going to grant his last wish.

Even though this wasn't what she wanted, she was not prepared for a life like this.

She knew this decision was going to hunt her for the rest of her life but she had to do it because this was her grandfather's wish on his deathbed.

And he was the only family she had since she lost her parents.

She knew she couldn't fail her grandfather so yes she was going to marry Knight Gate no matter how mean he would be or how unhappy the marriage would be.

She looked at herself in the mirror, her dark hair was combed and parked with fancy pins, and her brown eyes stared back at her looking tired.

The heels she wore made her look much taller than her normal height.

She was going to get married to Knight no matter what. And today was the day.

She didn't know why her grandfather did this, this family was their enemy for over two generations, and now she was getting married to their son knight the more she thought about it the more it felt strange.

She sat down on the bed and cried, she cried because everything felt unfair. She cried for her parents that she lost, she cried for her grandfather and she cried for herself because this was the worst day of her life.

Her makeup was ruined so she wiped it and applied light makeup.

Her eyes were red and teary but she didn't care about it.

All she cared about was what she was going to do, and yes she was determined to do it.

"Astra, someone called, it's time, your uncle is waiting for you so he can walk you down the aisle", she said.

"OK, I will be out in a minute", Astra replied, breathing in.

Astra looked at the ring on her hand, she was married to someone she didn't even know.

The ring was stunning that she could say, it felt like it was mocking her, the ring was shining and she was looking so dull.

She knew this was a disaster but it had already happened.

She took off her wedding gown, the pins in her hair, and cleaned her makeup, since she was married she had to prepare for her wedding night.

She put the wedding gown in a box, even if she was sad she was not going to destroy this beautiful gown.

It was one of the most expensive and beautiful clothes she ever owned.

And she always had a dream of showing her children and grandchildren her wedding gown since she was young.

Though It was painful to give her virginity to a cruel and stupid man, she knew she didn't love him but she didn't have a choice, she had already done it, and the deed was done.

She entered the bathroom and scrubbed her body like she was trying to scrub away the pain of what she had.

Astra got out of the bathroom and wore simple night clothes then sat on the bed waiting for her husband Knight.

Knight entered the room smiling upon sighting her his gaze turned hard.

"Who told you we were going to share the same room?" he asked.

"Well I thought since we were married we should share the same room, I would go to my apartment tomorrow and get the rest of my things", Astra replied, looking him straight in the eye.

"Well you are stupid for thinking like that, I would never share my room with you, not to talk of my bed.

But because today is our wedding night and I have something to show you, I will allow your presence", Knight said glaring at Astra.

He took off his shirt, and trousers before entering the bathroom to bathe.

Astra sat on the bed waiting nervously, her hands were sweating, and she bit down on her lips many times.

What if he was not gentle with me, she thought this was her first time and she always wanted it to be magical.

She knew that the moment she married Knight all her fantasies about a married life ended but she still wanted her wedding night to be memorable.

Knight came out of the bathroom, water dripping from his body, his towel sat loosely on the lower part of his waist.

He felt her give it to him and looked up at her, raising one brow.

Astra gulped in and looked away from him, he was handsome she thought with his dark hair, and blue eyes that were always looking cold and slightly tanned body.

He wore shorts and a shirt, sat on the bed, and stared at her.

"I am going to show you something," he said, his voice sounding cold.

Our family has been enemies since my grandfather's time. I don't know why you agreed to marry me or why my dad said I should.

But I don't like you, I never even knew you, and from the looks of things I am not looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you.

He brought a paper and gave it to Astra, "this is our contract he said, I don't know how we ended up getting married but I don't want this marriage, neither do you so I decided to help both of us.

So this contract says you will do anything I say and outside of this house, we are nothing but strangers.

I can't be more than a stranger to someone like you.

"What does that mean?"Astra asked, glaring at him.

"Well since I said it once and you didn't understand I don't think you can comprehend", Knight said glaring at Astra.

And also after three years, we are going to get divorced", he continued.

"So this is more like a contract marriage, than a real one," Astra said.

"Well obviously since that's what I said," he replied.

"So you are giving me permission to go out with other men?", I asked

"Do I look like I care if you fuck around, you were already doing it before our marriage so u are sure it will be hard to stop," he said.

"I will appreciate it if you mind the way you talk to me", Astra said glaring at him.

"Or what Astra, what can you do?", let me answer that for you, you can't do anything", he said.

"Now I would like to leave the room because, in the face of things, your presence is suffocating," he said and left the room.

Astra just sat on the bed looking at the papers so she would be free from this cage after three years she thought.

She sat up thinking Knight was going to come back and talk about the wedding night but he didn't so she decided to go down and check for him.

On getting to the door she heard moaning sounds from the other room confused and wanting an explanation she decided to check.

On opening the door she saw Knight on another woman having sex on their wedding night.

"Knight", she screamed.

"Knight", Astra shouted, shocked at what she was seeing.

"How could you do this on our wedding night without any shame? she asked him.

Knight faced her sluggishly without bothering to cover himself.

"Well if I can remember perfectly I told you that I don't like you so I can't consider sharing the bed with you, and yet you came to disturb my pleasure time," he said standing up.

"I would like you to excuse the room and Astra," he said standing up.

"You are so shameless, you are having sex with another woman on our wedding night. that makes sense to you, does it?", Astra asked, already close to tears.

"Well I didn't know you cared about my business, this is my life and I can do whatever I wish, you don't need to cry because I had sex, I did, not you so why the hell do you care?" knight asked, smirking.

"Well it became my business the moment you put this ring on my finger I don't care if you sleep around but don't do it near me, I have emotions and feelings too, and the fact that you are doing it on our wedding night is so disappointing, we just have three years together you made sure if it and yet you expect me to watch you sleep around to do it outside not near me", Astra said walking out and slamming the door.

Knight started at the door shocked that a woman just shouted at him and he felt the impact.

"Get out" he shouted at the woman on the bed and watched her with uninterested eyes as she hurried to pack her clothes.

Astra woke up feeling tired and sad, since she got married to Knight she has been trying to make the marriage work. She has done all she could but all he did was push her away.

She turned to her side and found him sleeping, his dark hair was scattered on the pillow, his lashes were long for a man, and he was breathtaking.

Then he opened his eyes and she went still, they looked at each other for some time she was lost in his eyes.

"Stop staring and move," he said.

Then she realized she was towering over him, she blushed and moved away.

"I want to talk to you Knight, I don't like this house. It's not peaceful and joyful. We fight every time.

I know we didn't marry willingly but we could make this marriage work for the three years that we are going to be together, Astra said.

"I don't want to have any conversation with you, the only reason I share a room with you is that this is my bedroom and I am used to sleeping in it if you don't like the way the house has been then moved", he said entering the bathroom.

Astra sat on the bed looking at the door of the bathroom, she had tried she thought but this couldn't work.

After Knight went out of the room she decided she was going to look pretty today. Maybe if he saw her as beautiful he would change towards her.

She took her bath and brought out the sexiest gown in her closet, she applied makeup and put on a lot of perfume.

Then she went down the stairs and saw a knight at the table and joined him.

"Where are you going all dressed up ?" he asked slanting a brow

"Nowhere just decided to look pretty", she said

She felt his gaze from her face to her breast which gave the gown freedom to be seen by the eyes.

His eyes lingered on her breast a little before talking the whole of her body.

She pretended to continue eating and noticed that he was staring.

"I would like to be the one to cook", Astra said, coughing.

He looked at her surprised at what he said.

"You want to be the one to cook our food?" he asked.

"Yes I do, I don't do anything again except go to work sometimes and I am used to cooking in my house. It's one of the things I love doing. It's so nice to cook and try different recipes.

She looked up at him and found him smiling slightly.

She smiled back at him and he cleared his throat.

"Do you want to use us to test your cooking skills or you are good?", he asked.

"I am trying, you will know when I cook the food if it is nice or not", Astra said.

"Okay then why don't you cook dinner I will be home in time to eat", Knight said standing up.

Astra went to the market to get the ingredients for her food, she was happy that she was going to be useful in the house.

When she got home it was already past six so she decided to start cooking. She wanted to bake a cake for dessert too.

She changed her clothes into lighter clothes and tied the apron around her waist.

She started cooking, and the chefs asked her if they could help but she declined their offer.

She loved the kitchen it was so big and spacious she had all the ingredients and supplies she needed for the cooking, and it was so convenient.

It took her less time also, she was happy she requested to cook, and it made her feel more at home.

She was almost done with the cooking when Knight came back downstairs looking handsome as always.

She wanted him to like the food so she put in her best.

After going upstairs and showering Knight came to the kitchen.

"Your food is smelling nice", he said looking all refreshed.

His dark hair was hand-combed to the back, his blue eyes were black and shining.

Astra was stunned.

"So what are you cooking?", the knight asked, coming closer to her.

"It's grilled chicken with roasted vegetables, and rice, with cake for dessert, "Astra said, breathing in because he was now dangerously close to her to the extent that she could smell his perfume and shampoo

Then he bent down and licked her checks.

She stood feeling the electricity spread from her cheek to every part of her body and was shocked to the core.

"There was icing on your cheeks," he said looking at her like he wanted to swallow her whole.

"Oh okay, thanks, the food will be ready in a moment.

He nodded and went out of the kitchen.

When Astra was done she served the food and called Knight to join her.

"Well I would have to say you are a good cook", knight said smirking.

"Well thank you, my grandma taught me most of it, he didn't want me near the kitchen he said I should rather study", Astra said.

"Well then he made a mistake because you are not that very fast in assimilating", he said smiling now.

"Funny", Astra said standing up "I want to talk to you Astra", he said turning serious.

"What is it? she asked sitting down.

"I have so many allergies, so I want you to be the one to do the cooking from now on. he said smirking.

"So that's the serious matter", she said rolling my eyes.

"It's very serious, I want quality food so when cooking be careful", he said already laughing

She went to his side while trying to carry his plate. She slipped and fell on his lap.

Then she was lost in his eyes it was beautiful, then she paid attention to the rest of his face he was breathtakingly beautiful

His hair was long and very black, his blue eyes drawing her in

"What did you do to me Astra?"he asked, then he bent and kissed her.

He started slow then his kisses started to turn demanding, his hand roamed from her body then he squeezed her breast.

She jumped up and moved away from him looking at him still dazed from the kiss and breathing hard.

"I am sorry I didn't mean to do that", Knights said standing up and trying to touch her but she moved back

"I would like to pack the plates and leave for the kitchen", she said hurriedly.

Astra stayed in her room for over three days. She only came down to eat or collect fresh air then she was back in the guest room.

She told Knight she needed some space in the meantime.

She didn't know why she was acting childish about the kiss.

This wasn't the first time she had kissed yet the effect of the kiss still lingered on her lips.

She was not mad at him for kissing her because at that moment she wanted it to but she was mad at herself for reacting like this, it made her feel weak and vulnerable next to him.

It was noon time and Astra decided to go out for the first time in two days.

She went down the stairs and found Knight at the dining table sipping a cup of wine.

"Hii", she said walking down to meet him.

He looked at her and slightly smiled.

"Look who decided to come down, I can't believe you didn't come out of your room for almost a week because I kissed you", Knight said, smirking.

"That was not the reason", I said, my voice coming out weaker than I wanted it to be.

"I was busy with some things so I didn't have time to chill.

"So that means you don't mind me kissing you Astra, " Knight said standing up.

He walked towards her chair and shifted the chair like she weighed nothing.

"Well you are not the first guy I have kissed so I don't see anything special", Astra said gulping down.

Well then let's see he said bending down when he started coughing.

"What's wrong?" Astra asked, already panicking. He continued coughing deeply.

"I would call the hospital," Astra said wanting to run out of the room when he grabbed her hand.

"I am fine, I just need my phone, no need to call any ambulance," he said, already coughing again.

"But you don't seem fine, I have to do something", Astra said trying to free her hand.

"So you do care about me, " Knight said, smirking.

"I am not laughing Knight, you are not fine I need to call the hospital.

"Just get me my phone let me call the family doctor he said breathing In.

"You need a hospital Knight", Astra said, already holding his hands.

"I am fine Astra, I am very fine I just need to see the doctor and everything will be fine again.

Knight has been for two days now, I have been working for him both at home and in the office.

I cook, clean, work, and stay with him most of the time.

"Mrs. Astra", the doctor called, Mr. Knight is fine he just needs rest for another day.

"Thank you, doctor," Astra said, shaking him and entering Knight's room.

He was asleep so she decided to go cook, after cooking she went back upstairs and saw that he was awake.

"Hi, how are you doing?"Astra asked, sitting at the side of the bed.

"I never told you I was sick Astra. I am perfectly okay. I just needed some rest. I am feeling a lot better now", he said.

"Well I am done with cooking I would go bring your food.

Astra walked out of the room, went to the kitchen, and served his food.

She went back to his room and found him sitting up on his phone.

"Here is your food," Astra said.

"Should I feed it to you? "she asked.

"Yes please," he replied, smiling.

She hadn't expected him to say yes, she was only joking.

She looked at him and figured he was serious, she took the food bit by bit and fed it to him.

When she was done she cleared the plates and sat with him.

She stirred and figured she fell asleep on him.

Knight tapped him but he was fast asleep. He stared and put his hands under her T-shirt mistakenly and she wore nothing underneath.

She didn't know what to do then his hand moved and she froze.

His hands went to her breast and he squeezed it, murmured her name, and opened his eyes.

They stared at each other, not knowing what to do.

"Your hands, Astra said.

He squeezed her breast not knowing what it was then his eyes widened in realization.

I am so sorry he said removing his hands quickly.

She nodded and stood up straight.

"What were you dreaming about?" she asked.

"You don't want to know it", he replied, shaking his head.

"Well I do, I wanna know what you were dreaming about because you mentioned my name", she said looking up at him.

"Are you sure you want to know Astra?", he asked.

"Most definitely", she replied.

I was dreaming of you in my hands nacked and I was fucking your brains out you were screaming my name, Astra.

She looked at him dazed, not expecting what he said.

"Why would you say something like that? ", she asked, tapping his hands. I want to know what you dreamt about, not the lies that you thought of.

Okay, yes I have thought of you in my hands while fucking you before but for real I dreamt about it.

She looked at him dazed at what he said.

You shouldn't say such things you know and it doesn't matter, you already made it clear from the beginning that you would never share the same bed with me", Astra said.

Standing up and putting her clothes in order

"Oh, I remember I said that", but I would gladly take back my words now Astra", he said.

"And why would you do that, Knight? Astra asked him.

"Because I like you", he replied.
