ANOTHER WORLD

A life without hope, happiness, and delicious food isn't real life, that's the motto our protagonist, Ashley, uses in her everyday life, she lives for today and tomorrow, to the fullest with a smile on her face and when things go rough, she looks up to the sky and hope it will be better one and for it to pass.

That's how she spent her days, the boring life that consisted of her and her pet bunny, she didn't have any friends, because of how awkward she was, she can't hold any conversations and trying to maintain a relationship with someone was far more difficult that jumping off a cliff for her, she only had one friend at work, if she can even call him that, she rarely talked to him, she had a normal office job a 9 to 5, her life couldn't get any simpler than that.

Her only pleasure in life is watching dramas and dreaming about her love story, which she hopes will experience one day.

One night, while she was playing with her bunny, a voice came to her head, telling her that her time to taste love was there and that one true love was waiting for her in another world, that she had to go to him and catch him before he is gone, to the other side.

Ashley was understandably confused and thought it was a hallucination, coming from the drama she watched earlier where the heroine goes to another world, she really needed to stop watching dramas constantly, it's starting to mess with her head.

"Koo, do you think I am going crazy?" Ashley asked her bunny, as she held him and patted his head, while he stayed in her arms quietly.

Suddenly, a white hole showed under Ashley, taking her by surprise, she didn't have enough time to react or do anything to save herself, she sank to the floor, holding her bunny tightly and hoping that this was all a dream.

"Hey! Ash! Wake up, it's time to go." A voice screamed at Ashley, who was lying on the ground motionless, seemingly unconscious.

When he didn't hear a response, he left and brought a cup of water, then dumped it on Ashely's face, waking her up and making her wet from the head to the shoulders.

"What did I tell you about sleeping on the floor? It's not good for you and the baby, come on, get up." The person said, as he helped the confused Ashley get up, who was wondering who this person was, she doesn't have friends and her neighbors never talk to her or get inside her apartment, so who was this? "And sorry I dumped water at you, I just didn't know how else to wake you and you already gave me permission to do so when I find you like this." The person added, then he noticed something coming out of Ashley's stomach, from under her shirt, a bunny came out.

"When did you become a magician? Or did you adopt a bunny? Weren't you the one who always said pets are nuisance and a waste of effort and time to take care of. Ash, hello! What's wrong with you? You are looking at me as if it's the first time you are seeing me." The man said, noticing Ashley's weird looks at him, as he helped her sit on the couch.

"It is my first time seeing you, who are you exactly?" Ashley asked, as she retreated her hand from his and held to her bunny, the only thing and being she knew in her life.

"I am Alvin, your best friend? We crushed on the same men for years and even you husband? I made you cookies when you found out about your cheating boyfriend and you almost kissed me, and that's how I opened up to you, I am even the first person you talked to about your pregnancy. You encouraged me to confess to my childhood friend and consulted me after I was rejected? If you don't remember me after those huge events that made us close then you must have lost your memories." Alvin didn't know what to say, he thought he and Ashley were like siblings, after all, they had been through everything together, he treated her like his little sister and she did as well, so what happened now? Did that asshole husband of hers do something again? "Was it Chad? Did he tell you something again? Did he do something to you? I am going to kill him."

"Chad? Who is Chad? I am sorry but I don't know you or him, I have to go home, my job starts at 9 and I need to feed Koo." Ashley said, as she got up to leave but was pushed back down by Alvin, who wasn't willing to let her go until he understood the whole damn thing, what was happening with her and why doesn't she remember him or the man she loved for twenty years, the man she almost killed herself to marry him.

Ashley proceeded to explain to him that she is a twenty-five-year-old working woman, with a bunny pet and only experienced two relationships in her whole life span, she had never been pregnant or even slept with a guy, so it must be a mistake that he thinks she was his friend.

"Brain damage, got it, let's go to the doctor right now." Alvin said, holding Ashley's hand and walking her to the door, he wasn't going to let her stay like this, that was unhealthy for a pregnant woman, she could do something to herself thinking that she wasn't pregnant; he should have never let her get married to that sorry excuse of a human being.

After doing many checkups on her brain, her body, and everything that could be causing this, the doctors concluded that there was nothing wrong with her physically and maybe it was a mental issue, that she was coping with something in this way, by creating an alternative reality for herself to live in.

"Is there anything that we can do to help her?" Alvin asked, glancing at his friend, who was sitting a bit far away from them and playing with her bunny; his eyes lingered a bit too long, gaining her attention, as she looked at him with a tilted head and a small smile as if she was asking him what was wrong; why did he ever agree to her marrying that scum? He should have stopped when he could, but it was too late now and the damage has already been done.

"Let her live in her bubble for now but you have to slowly introduce her to the real world or else we will lose her to her imagination, take her home and explain to her, her current life as if it's not hers and see if she remembers anything." The doctor said, then walked away, going to other patients, while Alvin was thinking of a way to explain things to Ashley; it's not easy to explain to her, that she had a cheating husband and a child who happened to be the son of a billionaire and the holder of the hopes of her husband's family.

"Ashley, let's go." Alvin took Ashley's arm and took her out of the hospital, going to her husband's house, he made a decision, she may hate him when she would get her memory back, but he was willing to take that risk because she deserved better than him.

Alvin parked in front of the house and told Ashley to stay in the car, while he went inside and packed her things, he was going to take her to his house for now, so she wouldn't find out about her husband and be at a better place and a healthy atmosphere for her to raise her child for now and live as if half of her life, wasn't real.

While in the car, hugging her bunny, Ashley considered fleeing from there, this man had probably kidnapped her and was convincing her of things that weren't real, he hadn't shown any behaviors of that kind, but she didn't trust him; she got up from her seat and opened the car door, walking out and immediately seeing a man park his car right beside theirs, almost hitting her in the process. The man angrily left his car, seeing red and noticing the scratch on his car, exploding at Ashely for being the cause of it, until he saw her face: "Are you blind?!? Ashley? What are you doing here?"

"Do I know you? I don't recall ever meeting you." Ashley said, taking a step back, since he scared Koo by his loud screaming, he seemed quite aggressive.

"The memory loss drama again? This won't work on me, if you want something, tell me without doing this shit." The man was not impressed, his tone being one of boredom and slight anger, holding her arm with a tight grab, wanting her to tell him what she wanted now. "I want you to let go of me, you are hurting me and scaring Koo."

"Koo? You got a bunny?"

"Got a problem? And I repeat let go of me."

"What if I don't?" The man said, his hold getting tighter, hurting her even more, making her hiss in pain; that was it, she slammed her head against his, making him fall to the ground, because of the force she put into that strike.

"I told you twice to let go, this is what you earn for not listening; lesson number one: when someone tells you to let go, you let go because you don't touch people without their permission." Ashley told him, while he was crying in pain on the ground and holding his forehead, while Koo was smirking on the inside, thinking 'That's what you get!'

"Ashley, what are you doing outside?" Alvin asked walking to her with a bag in his hand.

'Great, he ruined my plan to run away.' Ashley looked at the man in pain with hatred in her eyes, holding the urge to kick him between his legs, turning to look at her 'friend' come about to tell him about, about what this man did to her, but when his eyes got wide and he asked her what was Chad doing on the ground, she panicked.

"Do you know him?" Ashley asked looking at Alvin then glancing at the man, thinking about the consequences of her actions, maybe these two are friends and are going to beat her up, for what she did which was protecting herself from a weirdo with aggressive behavior.

"Of course I do. It's the asshole called y...." Alvin stopped himself, before he could say the two words 'your husband', thinking that it will be better if Ashley doesn't know about that fact, it may cause her to recall some bad memories. So he told her that, this man is a bad person and to get in the car while he takes care of hi.

Not being able to say no, fearing that he will force her to get in the car if she says refuses, because unlike the one who harassed her basically, Alvin haven't done anything wrong to her, she doesn't have the will power to push her and run for her life, and also there that possibility, she really is suffering memory loss, her face is different and her life is different as well, so it's maybe the best choice for now, is to trust Alvin, but if he does something, she will kiss him in the balls and run for it; Ashley hesitatingly got into the car that was in her ability to take Alvin down he's pretty muscular unlike that weakly she just got on the ground, proven by Alvin's ability to carry the man to the entrance of the house, they are parked in front of, with no problems whatsoever.

"I am taking her away." Alvin said, putting the whiny Chad down and staring at him with slight disgust.

"You're doing me a favor, take her for as long as you possibly can." Chad didn't like Ashley, if that wasn't obvious already, he only married her because of his family's pressure, they pitied her for how much she loved him so they threatened him with their inheritance, the money that belongs to him to get him to propose and be with her for at least five years and then get the money and divorce her.

Two years have passed since then and only three left his family wanted them to have a child, to preserve the family name, but fearing that the son or daughter of his, will take all of what belongs to him, he avoided contact with Ashley, except that one week, that one certain night when they slept together, both under the influence of some kind of drug, put in their drink by someone in his family, but that doesn't mean she's pregnant, or does it?

" I hate you more than I hate people who eat cereal without milk, you're the worst kind of people, I hope you fall in love with a man and get disowned by your family, so you no longer have that money you love so much." Alvin said and then walked away, knowing that homosexuality is a sin for Chad's family, even mentioning gay people in a conversation makes them go crazy, like that one time, he was with Ashley and Leonhard's mother, in a restaurant, and a gay couple walked in, the mother looked horrified and started reciting something, and then went to the couple and explained to them why they shouldn't be together.

That was a big shock for him, but imagine her shock if she finds out her son is not as straight as she thinks he is, that would be fun to see, the man who sleeps around with multiple women, humiliates them and degrades them, will no longer be able to do so, with his family money is gone, wait, actually that's a good plan, to teach him a good lesson, maybe he should try to get him to fall in love with a man, that would be interesting, very interesting.

Alvin walked to him car, with a good idea in his head, make Leonhard regret ever cheating and abusing his friend, by making him become what he and his family hate most, a homosexual; it may be difficult, no it will be, you can't just turn someone gay with a click or a magic spell, but he have seen signs of our dear Chad possibly being a closeted gay man, his search history, eyeing guy's asses then pretending to looking at a girl, he has resources with the many information Ashley gives him about their life.

"Am I being mean.......no, it's not like I am going to ruin his life." Alvin said, getting in the car, not knowing that yes, he is going to technically ruin his life, by making him explore a part of himself that he never wanted to know about, but we are not in that part of the story yet.
