Chapter 1 The rejection

Chapter 1

SASHA'S POV

"Mate," I blurted out, grinning from ear to ear.

I have been hoping to find my mate today, and it's a good thing I wasn't disappointed. I thought within me, still grinning, as I raised my gaze to meet with that of my mate.

I expected a warm smile from him, but what I saw was his cold and distant face, making me gasp.

"No, you can never be my mate," he retorted, his words cutting deep into my heart.

"I can't be with someone like you," he added, his tone dripping with disgust, and disdain.

I felt a sting of rejection and tried to touch him, to bridge the gap between us, but he yelled at me. "Don't you dare touch me!" He spat, his voice echoes through the crowd.

I took a step back, hurt and confusion etched on my face. "Why don't you want to have anything to do with me?" I asked, my voice cracking.

He sneered at me, his eyes filled with contempt. "You have witch blood in you, and you're an outcast in your pack. Why would I want to have anything to do with someone like you?"

I felt a lump form in my throat as I swallowed hard, trying to process his harsh words. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. I was speechless, my heart was slowly breaking.

My mother happened to be a witch, but she was also my father's mate, and I know how everyone in the pack has been talking about her.

When everyone expected my father to reject my mother, he didn't; instead, he surprised them all by getting married to her, regardless of everything they had said about witches.

That act of his turned everyone against us, and we were seen as outcasts in our own pack.

I never knew my mate was also going to see me as an outcast and reject me because of that someday. And now that I was face with the situation, I feel so bad.

Hot tears clouded my eyes, but just then I remembered the mate bond, the connection that was supposed to be unbreakable, a glimmer of hope, in my heart

"That doesn't really matter," I said,

"Because I'm your mate, and we should be together since we are mates," I declared, trying to act calm.

He laughed, a cold, mirthless sound, and the others around us joined in, their laughter like a knife twisting in my heart. I felt ashamed, humiliated, but I refused to give up.

Trembling with emotion, I stood firm, prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead, and win back my mate.

"You are an alpha, and I know how important a mate bond means to alphas, so I'm sure you would need me," I spoke up with confidence, my heart racing with hope.

But my words were met with ridicule, and the laughter slowly died down.

"I never knew hybrid's bloodlines could be such daydreamers, and filled with confidence, but I know better now," he said, his voice dripping with disdain.

I felt my face burn with embarrassment as I faced the floor, unable to meet his gaze anymore.

"I would rather be with someone who is not my mate than to be with an urged outcast like you," he said, with all seriousness, and I meet his gaze now.

I could feel my heart shattering into a thousand pieces. I regretted coming here, I regretted hoping for a chance with him.

"I, Alpha Callan, reject you as my mate," he declared, his words like a death sentence.

I gasped, my eyes welling up with tears as I raised my glance to meet his. I was desperate, unwilling to accept his rejection.

I had been looking forward to this day for so long, and I couldn't bear the thought of being rejected by my own mate.

"Alpha Callan, please don't do this, we belong together," I begged, falling to my knees before the crowd, not minding what might happen next.

I hoped that this little act of mine would move him, and make him have a change of mind about me.

"Look, everyone, the hybrid is on her knees, pleading for me to accept her. How beautiful," he mocked, his voice echoing through the crowd.

The crowd joined in, mocking me, calling me a desperate witch. I felt my heart break, my spirit crush beneath their ridicule.

"Even if you plead from now until forever, I will never have anything to do with someone like you, so just accept my rejection so I can find someone else," he spat, his words cruel.

"What are you waiting for, accept my rejection," he stated with his voice showing no emotions.

He was heartless, and I bet he doesn't care about our bond.

"Alpha Callan, I'm sorry but I don't want to break this mate bond between us," I told him.

His face turned redden immediately, as he walked closer to me, while I just kept calm and stared at him.

He grabbed me by my neck, and pulled me up. I struggled, but he tightened his grip, cutting off my air supply.

"Now accept my rejection, else I'm going to kill you right now," he snarled, his eyes blazing with fury.

I knew he meant it, and a wave of fear washed over me. I realized that he hated me, and it would be foolish of me to continue resisting.

"I, Sasha Jack, accept your rejection," I whispered, the words barely audible.

As soon as I spoke, I felt our mate bond shatter, and just then he released me, a triumphant smile spreading across his face.

I felt tears well up in my eyes as he walked past me, his eyes scanning the crowd until they landed on a random lady behind me. "Oh my goodness, he picked me as his mate," she squealed.

"Here is my mate," Callan announced, his voice booming through the crowd.

It dawned on me that he had chosen someone else, someone who wasn't me. A tightness formed in my chest, and I fought to breathe. I felt like I was suffocating under the weight of his rejection.

"How can this happen to me?" I thought, as I turned to see who the lady was, with my nostrils flared in anger.

She had a wide smile on her face, and I wished I could attack her, but I knew I couldn't. She was now the mate of the alpha, and I was just a nobody, a rejected outcast.

I felt utterly devastated, my heart shattered into a million pieces. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, threatening to spill down my cheeks, but I gritted my teeth, determined to hold them back.

I wished I could just vanish, escape the agony and humiliation that consumed me.

If I ever had the chance to meet the moon goddess now, I would unleash my fury upon her. I would rain curses down on her, and even attempt to attack her, despite knowing I would never stand a chance.

I couldn't believe that I had prayed all night to the moon goddess, begging to be accepted by my mate, only to face rejection that cut deeper than any knife.

The memory of my prayers now seemed like a cruel joke, a reminder of my foolish hopes.

As I stared at Callan and the lady beside him, I felt my heart aching the more. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of despair.

How was I ever going to survive this? Will I continue to stay lonely for the rest of my life? These questions rang in my head, as I finally let down my tears.

Chapter 2 The one night stand

Chapter 2

SASHA'S POV

Sitting at a table, I ordered a strong alcoholic drink, which was brought to me almost immediately.

I kept ordering more, trying to drown my sorrows, and the waitress never disappointed as she continued giving me what I had ordered.

As the drinks took effect, I started feeling dizzy and tipsy, realizing it was time to leave. I paid off the bar attendance and stood up, swaying slightly.

I staggered, but continued walking, not knowing where I was going, just needing to keep moving.

I fell, but felt a hand holding me. Just then, a scent of berries hit my nostrils, and my wolf joined in delirious anticipation inside of me. I felt a surge of excitement and desire.

I looked up to see a man, and my eyes widened in awe. He was incredibly handsome, with piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through me.

His chiseled features, athletic build, and effortless style made him impossible to ignore.

I was drunk, but I couldn't help but drool over him. My eyes scanned from his face and stopped on his lips, feeling drawn to them.

I wanted to kiss him, to feel his touch. He smiled, and his whole face lit up, revealing a hint of mischief and kindness.

"Mate," he blurted out, his eyes widened in disbelief, as I opened my mouth while staring at him in awe. I couldn't believe what was happening.

"How can this be?" I voiced out, remembering the mating ceremony and the shock of being rejected.

"You are my mate," he grinning , but I was still confused and couldn't just believe it yet.

How was it even possible, I mean I just got rejected a while ago.

"Yes...but how?" I responded to him, trying to move away, but my legs betrayed me, and I ended up falling again.

But his strong hands caught me even before I could reach the floor. Somehow his touch sending shivers down my spine.

"You are so drunk, and I don't think you can go out on your own. Let me help you," he offered, taking my hand in his.

I felt a spark of electricity at the skin contact, and I couldn't help smiling slightly. He wrapped my hand around his neck, and I glanced up at him, feeling good within me.

"Come, I will take you out of here," he said, his voice low and gentle, as he slowly led me away.

I felt warm inside, and for once, nothing else mattered to me right now except this feeling.

I had never felt this spark with anyone before, and I could tell that there was something special about him. I wanted to get more of him, to know him better.

As we walked, my mind wandered to dirty thoughts. How would he taste? I wondered, trying to take a glance at his pants, but he pulled me even closer, his body heat radiating onto mine. I felt my face flush with desire, and I knew I was in trouble.

He was a stranger to me, even though I just found out he was my mate. But I bet he would also reject me, once he knows who I really was.

So it was best I just enjoy this moment with him. I thought within myself.

I wanted him so badly, and I don't know why, but maybe because he was my mate, or maybe because I was drunk, but either way I don't really care about that right now.

All I knew was that I couldn't resist him. Maybe it was the mate bond between us, because I could feel my wolf panting in delirious anticipation right now.

I couldn't deny the desire burning inside me. I felt my pants grow wet just from his skin contact, and I couldn't help but imagine his lips on mine.

My eyes locked onto his lips again, and I fantasized about kissing him. I imagined his hands caressing my body, and I wondered how it would feel to experience his touch.

I wanted him to do dirty things with me, to satisfy the craving that had taken over my body.

"I know you are drunk, but can you give me directions to your place?" he asked, his voice low and husky. But I didn't respond, too caught up in my own desires.

"Do you mind if I take you to any room here?" he asked, with his gaze fixed on me.

I still didn't respond, my mind was too clouded. He sighed softly and asked about a room, taking the key and leading me to it. He made me sit on the bed, and as he turned to leave, I grabbed his hand.

"Don't tell me you intend to leave me here all alone?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. He stopped and faced me, his eyes searching mine.

"You don't want me to?" he asked, his voice low and seductive. I shook my head, my heart racing with anticipation.

A sly smile spread across my face as I moved closer to him on the bed, wrapping my hands around his neck.

I could tell he wasn't expecting me to be so bold, but I couldn't help myself. I was drawn to him like a magnet.

"I want you," I said shamelessly, as I covered the little space between us.

His eyes shone with desire, but he tried to hesitate.

"Come on, bring it on," I teased, my face brimming with smiles.

He just stared at me, but he didn't move. I took advantage of the moment and kissed him, still holding tightly onto him.

"I know you want me as much as I want you, so there's no need to hesitate," I whispered, my lips brushing against his.

"I'm hesitant because I don't want to unleash my beast on you, because you might not be able to handle me," he spoke, and tried to move away. But I tightened my grip on him, refusing to let go.

"I would love to see your beastly self, because it's just what I wanted right now, so you are free to do it with me," I giggled.

I covered the space he had created again, while he stared at me.

"I think it's best if you let go. I can't control this anymore, we are mates, remember," he said, trying to unlock my hands from him.

I could tell his wolf was slowly taking over him, and I loved it.

"I don't want you to control yourself, Honey, I need you," I mouthed to him, pulling him to myself the more, as I took his lips into mine once more.

This time he didn't hesitate, instead he reciprocated the kiss, making me realize he was already in the mood, and I loved the fact that I was about to get him to ease up, as that was exactly what I wanted.

I know it was wrong to do this, and I was going to regret it by morning, but I just have to enjoy this moment. I thought and within a few minutes he was already caressing my body.

Chapter 3 Flee

Chapter 3

SASHA'S POV

My eyes flipped open, and I was met with a wave of panic as I realized I was in an unfamiliar room. A hand was wrapped around me, and I quickly shook it off, sitting up on the bed.

"This is definitely not my house," I voiced out, my heart racing as I glanced around the room.

I raised the duvet and gasped as I realized I was totally naked. I rushed out of bed, my face flush with embarrassment.

"Who the hell did I sleep with?" I asked myself, my mind racing with thoughts of the previous night.

I slowly moved towards the sleeping figure, my eyes fixed on his face. My eyes widened in disbelief as I took in his features. This man I had a night with was no other than Alpha Ryan, the most ruthless alpha ever, feared by everyone.

"Oh my goodness, it's Alpha Ryan," the words rang out of my mouth as I stared at his sleeping form. "Oh no, I'm doomed," I whispered, my heart filled with fear.

I couldn't let him see me, I thought, my mind racing with panic. Without hesitation, I started searching for my clothes on the floor, my hands shaking as I dressed.

I left the room, my head still racing with thoughts of the night before. Once I was outside, I realized it was still dark, and a wave of relief washed over me.

I transformed into my wolf form and raced into the woods, my heart pounding in my chest. In no time, I was home, my paws pounding on the door.

The door swung open, revealing my mum, who stood there with worries showing in her eyes. "Where have you been?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.

I couldn't meet her gaze, my eyes cast downward in shame.

"Sasha, where have you been? I have been looking everywhere for you," my mom asked, I managed to look at her, and all I could see was her concerns for me.

I couldn't respond, my mind racing with fear and panic. I knew what was at stake if I remained in the pack until morning, so I forced myself to move.

I rushed into my bedroom and started packing my bags, my hands shaking as I pack my bags.

"Sasha, what's going on?" Mum asked, her voice filled with concern, as she stared at me in confusion.

I stopped and faced her, my eyes welling up with tears.

"Mum, I'm doomed," I voiced out, not wanting to keep her in the dark anymore.

She stared at me in confusion, her eyes searching for answers.

"What do you mean by that?" she asked, her voice gentle but laced with concern. I took a deep breath before speaking.

"Mum, I was drunk last night, and I ended up spending the night with Alpha Ryan," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

She gasped, and stared right at me.

"What!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief.

"You mean you had a night with Alpha Ryan, the Alpha of the Silver moon pack?" she asked, still finding it hard to believe what I just said.

I nodded, feeling a wave of shame wash over me. "Yes, Mum, I'm in a big mess right now, and I have to leave before he realizes I'm gone," I told her.

"But how did that happen? Why were you drunk?" she asked, trying to understand me better.

But I was in a hurry to leave, my mind was filled with fears, and I wasn't even comfortable even for one bit. I just wanted to leave the pack as soon as possible..

"I'll explain everything to you over the phone, but for now, I have to go. Remember, he's the Alpha here, and would easily find me here," I told her, trying to sound calm, but deep down in my heart, I knew they was a great war.

"Oh okay, but where will you go now?" she asked, as she joined me in packing my bags.

"I don't really know yet, but I just have to leave," I said, standing up and grabbing my bags.

"Be safe, and remember to reach me once you've found somewhere to settle," Mum said.

I nodded, promising to do exactly what she said. She walked me to the door, and without thinking twice, I ran into the woods, hoping to escape before dawn.

I was grateful that I had woken up early enough to do the needful. I didn't know how I would have faced my fate if he had woken up to see an outcast like me beside him.

FIVE YEARS LATER.

"Mummy, what are we going to have for breakfast?" Ava asked me, her big brown eyes sparkling with excitement, as I helped her get ready for school.

She was a handful, and I loved every moment of it. Her energy was infectious, and I couldn't help but smile as I gazed at her.

"Mummy, you aren't responding to me," she shook my hand, snapping me out of my thoughts. I chuckled and focused on her again.

"Come on Ava, you shouldn't be thinking about breakfast right now, you need to get ready for school," I said, trying to hide my amusement.

She pouted, and I couldn't resist her adorable face. "You are dressing me up already, so what's left to do?" She asked.

I sighed softly, realizing she was right.

"I still have to prepare your brothers for school too, so be patient okay, we will all have breakfast together," I told her, trying to sound firm.

She faked a frown, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Okay," she bit her lower lip, making my smile deepen as I continue dressing her up. I finished dressing her up, and she looked up at me with those big brown eyes.

"Go ahead and have a sit, I need to attend to your brothers," I said, and she nodded, quickly running off to the dining room.

Next, Adrian came to me, and I didn't hesitate to take him to the bathroom where I bathed him and dressed him too.

He giggled and played in the water, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for these moments.

After a while, we were all seated in the dining room to have breakfast. The room was filled with the sound of chatter and laughter, and I felt a sense of contentment wash over me.

"Mum, I have a question for you," Andy spoke up, making me sigh softly as I faced him.

I couldn't help but wonder what question he was going to ask me now.

"Andy, can't that question of yours wait until you get back from school, because you are running late already," I told him, hoping he could reconsider, and not ask me this question in his little brother.

He shook his head negatively, his face set to achieve what he wanted

"It can't wait, Mum," he said, his voice firm, and I couldn't help but smile at his persistence.

"Okay, go ahead and ask me," I told him, trying to sound calm, while he smiled at me with an innocence that tugged at my heartstrings.

"Mummy, when are we going to meet Daddy?" Andy asked me, his voice showing his seriousness, making me widen my eyes in disbelief.

I felt a knot form in my stomach as I tried to process the question. What answer was I going to give to them now? These thoughts rang in my head, as I stared at him.
