Alpha Lucious

Chapter 1 BETRAYED ME

Lucious opened his eyes slowly as rays of the morning sun reflected on his face. He closed his eyes again, not ready to get up.

"Arghh!! Is it morning already?? Why didn't you wake me up?" He groaned as his hands slowly reached out in search of the person beside him and landed on the soft bed, he felt nothing. He quickly opened his eyes as he looked over the place she should have been.

It was cold and empty, indicating she had been gone for quite a while now. Lucious narrowed his eyes. He couldn't even pick up her scent. He stood up and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. Done with his bath, he put on some clothes and grabbed a small towel before heading out.

His floor was silent, as always. No one apart from his wife and a few trusted people had access to the Alpha's floor. He walked into his elevator, pressing the ground floor as he tried to connect with his Beta through the mind–linking.

"Have you seen Natasha?" He asked hurriedly, startling the Beta.

Raphael was in the kitchen trying to make a cup of tea for his pregnant mate. He had just started to pour some hot water into a cup when the Alpha's message came in.

"Oh, Selene!! I've told you to stop doing that, Lucious!! I almost burnt my hand." He whined.

"Stop complaining, I'm looking for my wife over here." Came the Alpha's short reply.

"I don't think you're the only one who's got a wife," Raphael rolled his eyes. Everyone was aware of how the Alpha doted on his wife.

"Alpha, you spoil her way too much.." He said as he continued his tea-making. He didn't want his mate to come out and find out that he had not done his task yet and he would end up in trouble.

"And no, I've not seen her. I don't know what she's been up to these days." He quickly added.

Lucious ended the mind–link. He didn't want to hear anything more concerning the woman he was madly in love with.

Natasha was his childhood friend. They grew up together and mostly did everything together. She was the only woman Lucious had ever fancied and the only one to have seen the Alpha's soft side. She wasn't his mate, he didn't believe he had one, but he married her anyway.

The elevator door opened, letting him out as he headed for the back door.

"Good morning, Alpha." The guards greeted him as he exited the pack house. Lucious nodded his head answering more greetings as he went around the other pack houses. Today was one of those days when the Alpha surveyed the pack to make sure everything was fine and so the search for his wife took a back seat.

Young shifters headed to the training ground to start their daily training routine. Each shifter was expected to start training at the age of eight. Some had already become wolves by then, while the late shifters had to wait until they were twelve.

All done, he decided to go on his morning run. He headed for the deepest part of the forest this time.

Lucious ran for quite some time heading deeper and deeper into the forest. After about an hour of running, he slowed down, as his ears picked up a sound. Lucious narrowed his eyes as he walked slowly towards where it was coming from. Low moaning and a few grunts could be heard loudly now.

Lucious's heart was beating frantically as he approached. His nose picked up a very familiar scent but he didn't want to believe it. It was simply impossible. What could she be doing here at this time of the day?

Lucious slowly dragged his feet towards the direction the noises were coming from. It was a clearing behind some trees.

Lucious could feel his whole world crashing down as he finally saw her. His eyes couldn't believe it, Lucious could feel his heart shatter into a million pieces as he stood there looking at the two people before him, who were so engrossed in what they were doing.

The man who was on top of Natasha suddenly stopped what he was doing as he sensed something around him. He looked up to meet the red eyes of a livid wolf.

"What's wrong?" Natasha asked as Roel froze above her.

"Why did you stop?" She asked following his gaze.

Her eyes widened in shock as she saw her husband standing there with red eyes. She pushed Roel away as she stood up quickly to wear her clothes.

"What have you done?" Lucious asked in a hoarse voice. He felt his knees trembling as he stood there looking at Natasha.

"How could you do this to me, Natasha?" Lucious could feel the anger building up within him.

"How dare you betray me?!" He yelled as he approached them slowly. Roel the rogue she was having an affair with pulled Natasha behind his back, shielding her from the Alpha's hateful gaze.

"She owes you no explanation." He said rudely as a smirk formed on his lips. Lucious's eyes started twitching, his wolf was begging to come out and rip the two apart.

"As he said, I owe you no explanation Lucious," Natasha's voice sounded as she stepped out from behind Roel.

"What now? Do you hate me? "She asked, in a mocking tone. A small laugh erupted as she used her hands to cover her mouth.

"Forgive me Alpha but I don't think I need you anymore. You have never really loved me, have you? You think you can use me as your plaything and once you find your so-called mate, you'd leave me? I don't think so," She laughed again. The sweet sound Lucious loved to hear, now sounded like daggers to his ears.

"Roel treats me like a real woman. He loves and cares for me more than you ever will, He is everything I could ever ask for." She said defiantly as Roel held her by the waist pulling her closer.

Lucious felt his heart shatter all over again as the only woman he'd ever loved stood there in another man's arms.

"Besides, The Blood Moon Pack has lost its glory, thanks to their weak Alpha. You are pathetic and I deserve someone much better, someone powerful of course. Not someone who hides like a coward behind his pack members. Speaking of which, where are they now?" She smirked as she took a step forward, noticing the Alpha was all alone.

"I don't need you anymore Alpha Lucious. It's over between us," She finally said as she looked directly into his eyes.

"I, Natasha Donald of the Blood Moon Pack, break all my bond with the Alpha hereby rejecting the mate bond between us, I do not want you anymore." She declared, with a devious smirk on her lips.

Lucious could feel something snapping. It was the mate bond. It was gone. So was his sanity at that very moment.

Lucious's eyes turned completely red as his wolf went livid.

"I will kill you...I will kill you both." His cold voice said as he swiftly shifted into his magnificent black wolf. Roel too, lunged forward as he shifted into his own grey wolf, his much smaller than the Alpha's of course.

The two wolves circled the field snarling and growling at each other before the black wolf finally pounced on the grey wolf. They clawed and bit each other as they rolled in the huge field.

Natasha looked alarmed, as she saw her lover being clawed at by Lucious. Of course, Roel was no match for Lucious and they both knew that. She only said that to stall Lucious as she knew Roel had called for reinforcement. She just prayed that they came on time before Lucious killed Roel and her.

It didn't take much effort for Lucious' wolf to pin the rogue wolf down. He raised his razor-sharp claws ready to deliver the final blow, when two brown wolves jumped on, distracting him for a moment. Roel took that opportunity and limped away from the Alpha, leaving him to deal with the other wolves. More and more wolves appeared to attack the Alpha.

The Alpha fought viciously, dodging and throwing the smaller wolves who never seemed to end. He was too occupied with the wolves that he failed to notice a certain grey wolf sneaking up from behind him.

Roel, seeing the Alpha preoccupied, sneaked up behind him. He knew his men were no match for Lucious as he could see how he clawed and flung them with ease. The Beta may soon find out the situation here and they could be in some serious trouble since they were still in the Alpha's territory.

He leaped in the air, landing on Lucious' back as his sharp jaws clamped down on Lucious' neck. Blood. As he succeeded in sinking his teeth into the flesh. Lucious growled in pain as he tried to shake off the wolf on top of him. He twisted and turned as more rogue wolves attacked him, finally pinning him down.

The grey wolf bit in more deeply, blood staining his fur as he felt Lucious slowly losing strength. He had lost too much blood and his wolf side retreated as he slowly shifted back into his human form.

Roel mind–linked his people to retreat as, one by one, they all ran towards a certain direction, leaving the injured Alpha on the ground.

Natasha and Roel were the last to leave. She looked at Lucious one last time before she smirked, waving him goodbye as she shifted into her own wolf and dashed away, Roel following her close behind.

Lucious lay in a pool of blood, gritting his teeth. He was too weak to shift and follow them. So all he could do was watch them leave, which made the pain, and anger in him intensify.

"That woman will definitely regret betraying me to be with a fucking rogue! Next time I catch them, I'll make their lives a living hell! Rogue leader, huh? I will kill every rogue I catch!!" He said as his consciousness slowly started to fade.

Chapter 2 FEMALE ALPHA

"What do you mean by that?" Haven turned as her eyes landed on Tristan's face looking for answers. Tristan looked away, unable to meet her gaze.

It was Mika, her best friend, who answered with a defiant look on her face.

"Father said you have to leave the pack, girl" She smirked as she crossed her hands over her chest.

Haven turned to look at her father's old Beta, who was also Mika's father.

"How could you do this to me?" She growled.

Haven was the only daughter of Alpha Brian and Lucia of the Silver Moon Pack. The old Alpha never had a son, so he had trained his daughter to be a strong young girl. At seventeen, she was literally the strongest of the werewolves in her pack, with Alpha blood running through her veins.

Haven lost her parents in a fight that broke out between her pack and some rogues. She later took control of her pack by becoming a female Alpha.

"Haven, when do you think we'll finally get our mates?" Mika, her childhood best friend, asked as she helped groom Haven's long hair.

"Your hair is all tangled. What did you do?" She whined as she struggled to straighten her best friend's hair.

Haven blushed as she heard this. The events from last night flooded into her mind as her face turned crimson red. Mika noticed this and stopped to take a look at her friend, who now was so embarrassed that her cheeks had given her away.

"Why are you blushing? Oh Selene, did something happen?" She asked as she continued brushing her hair. Haven slightly nodded as she looked around to make sure no one else was close by to hear what she wanted to say.

When she was sure no one was around, she dragged Mika to her bed.

"Don't tell anyone, okay?" She blushed as she continued, "Well...Well, last night... Tristan and I...we mated!!" She finally said as she closed her face with her palms.

Mika's heart fell as she heard this. How could this happen?? No, this was impossible. Right?!? She always knew Tristan had a thing for the old Alpha's daughter, but she didn't expect he would take it this far.

Impossible!! Tristan was hers. He belonged only to her.

Haven missed Mika's expression as she shyly hid her face. When she heard nothing, she peeked to look at Mika.

"What's wrong? Why are you not saying anything? Are you not happy for me?" Haven asked innocently.

Happy?? Oh, Selene!! Mika wished she could strangle Haven then and there. She loved Tristan first. She had loved him ever since they were kids. How could Haven dare to do this to her!

Haven had stolen her spotlight first and since then everything was about Haven. It was always, Haven this, Haven that. Everyone adored Haven.

Why not her? What was so different about Haven? She was beautiful and strong too. Why didn't Tristan choose her?

"But Haven, why didn't you tell me this before? Tristan isn't your mate!"

'He is Mine', she wanted to say but kept quiet.

"We never know, I mean, on my next birthday, we'll all get to know our mates, and who knows maybe Tristan will be mine," Haven blushed.

"Besides, I've liked Tristan for a long time now...he was always my crush. I can't believe that he likes me too. He said we should wait until I'm eighteen before he will mark me." Haven squealed happily. Mika gave her a half-hearted smile as she held her hands.

"I'm happy for you Haven." She said half-heartedly, before she left the room. Her heart ached as she headed to the only place she could think of right now.

Tristan shifted into his human form as he returned from his hunt. The other warriors all greeted him as he headed to his room. He was tired, he planned to freshen up and then go meet Haven, his love. He smiled as he remembered his confession last night. Haven was the only woman he wanted, he fancied her since they were children but he never had the courage to speak up till last night...

He entered his small room, Haven's scent still lingered from last night's event. He couldn't wait to see her tonight.

He went for a quick shower and came out wearing a towel. He picked up a scent and turned to meet Haven's friend, Mika standing by the door.

"Mika, what are you doing here?" He asked as he went to grab some clothes. They grew up together and he had always considered her as a sister. Mika's father, the old Beta, had brought him to Silver Moon Pack when he was just a cub. He had lost his parents in a rogue attack and ever since he had been indebted to them. Old Beta saved his life.

Mika banged the door shut as she entered. Tristan, who had just picked up a shirt, turned to look at her, raising his eyebrows.

"What's up, Mika?" He asked as she stood right before him. Tristan narrowed his eyes, as he saw her undress her clothes.

"What are you doing??!" He half yelled as he moved back.

"Mate with me," She said as she removed her top and threw it on the bed.

"Please Tristan, be mine." She said, moving closer. Tristan growled as her hands landed on his naked chest. He pushed her away and picked up her top.

"Wear this, and stop whatever you're trying to do," He said sternly, flinging the top on her face. Mika flared up as she saw this. How dare he reject her?

"You must love me, Tristan, you must!" She yelled.

Tristan narrowed his eyes before bursting out in laughter.

"You are like a sister to me, I'm sorry Mika but I've told you, stop this madness, please. This is foolishness."

"Is it because of her? Haven? You're rejecting me because of Haven?" Mika said. Anger, pain and jealousy were bursting through her. Her world revolved around Tristen and now she felt as if it was falling apart.

"I'm in love with Haven and you know that. Please leave me alone Mika, for Selene's sake" Tristan sighed.

"I'll see how far you can go for love," Mika said, clenching her jaw. Tristan's eyes turned black as he looked at Mika who was now putting her clothes on slowly.

"What do you mean?" He asked in a low growl.

"I'll kill her, I'll kill your lovely Haven if you don't do as I say. You owe my father and it's time you repay him" Mika said as she smirked deviously.

"How could you do this to me?" Haven growled as she looked at the Old Beta.

"I'm your Alpha, you can't kick me out of my own pack! The Silver Moon Pack belongs to me!" She rightfully stated.

"No one made you Alpha," Mika interjected as she stood before Haven.

"And this is no more the Silver Moon Pack! From today this is The Black Moon pack and he is your new Alpha." Mika smirked as she moved for Tristan to step up. Tristan looked at Haven with pitiful eyes. There was nothing he could do right now.

Haven's heart broke as she heard this. Tristan betrayed her? She blinked back the tears threatening to roll down her cheeks as she walked towards him. A hard slap landed on his face as soon as she reached him.

"How dare you do this Tristan?! How dare you betray me?! After...after everything we shared, this is how you treat me?" She asked. Heartbroken.

"What did you share?!" Haven's eyes boiled with anger as she looked at the one person she had trusted the most, smirking deviously at her.

"We all shared something special," Mika said as she showed her neck, revealing Tristan's mark indicating she was his Luna now. Haven subconsciously stepped back as she saw this.

"Arrest her!!" She dared to slap your new Alpha!!" The old Beta commanded as dozens of warriors attacked Haven. Haven's eyes glistened with tears as she looked at Tristan for one last time before shifting into her silver wolf. She couldn't stay here and fight. She couldn't fight her own people.

She dashed into the forest leaving her beloved pack behind.

Haven ran for hours, her beautiful silver wolf glistened beautifully under the moonlight.

She ran throughout the night as she tried to escape the pain she was feeling. By morning, she was tired and sore. Her wolf slowed down as she walked into a large clearing.

"Whoa!! Who do we have here now?" A male voice said, forcing her to turn her guard up. At that moment, dozens of rogues surrounded her, all men.

"She is beautiful." One said.

"Another rogue wolf? This one is a female." someone chipped in. They all lust after the beautiful wolf in front of them.

"Come with us darling, we'll keep you safe." One said and the others burst into laughter.

Haven snarled angrily, baring her sharp fangs at them.

"This one is hot. Guys, it seems like we should have some fun first." A rogue said as he shifted. The others too followed suit as they all shifted into their huge wolf form. Most of the rogues were grey. Others had light and dark brown fur.

Baring their fangs at Haven, they leaped in the air one after the other as they attacked her.

Haven fought ruthlessly clawing and biting the wolves around her. Being an Alpha, she was slightly bigger than other normal female wolves. She was almost as big as the rogue wolves who were attacking her.

Haven sank her fangs into one of the rogue's neck. Throwing him away, she dodged another's bite as she clawed his face sending him whining in pain. She clawed and bit anyone who dared to approach her, leaving a trail of blood everywhere she went.

Blood stained her beautiful silver fur as she attacked fiercely, injuring most of the rogues. More and more rogues entered the field and they attacked her. The more Haven fought, the weaker she became.

Haven knew it was just a matter of time before they would pin her down. She needed a plan, no actually, she needed a break. But before she could, a wolf sneaked up on her and managed to claw her side. Haven let out a painful snarl as some of the wolves snickered. They enjoyed seeing her in pain.

Haven bit the neck of the wolf and she threw him at the remaining wolves. He crashed into them, throwing them off balance and making them fall backward.

Haven took the opportunity. This was her chance. She dashed into the forest, trying to run away from the rogues who were hot on her trail.

After an hour of running, Haven's wolf was exhausted and she shifted back to her human form. She tried cleaning herself up and put on her clothes which were now mostly rags.

She looked around trying to find out where she was. She had now ended up in another clearing.

The forest was so huge, she must have gotten lost. Haven turned to go when her eyes caught something, no someone. A man lay in the middle of the clearing, and he appeared dead.

Haven's curiosity got the best of her as she slowly approached the stranger. She gasped as she saw him, his body was surrounded by a pool of blood.

"How is he alone, in this huge forest?" Haven asked as she crouched down to take a closer look at the stranger. He was bleeding from his neck. She could see the wound heal slowly.

Haven shrugged as she stood up to leave, the rogues were still behind her. They could show up any minute. She turned and started walking away but suddenly stopped and she looked back again.

She couldn't leave this poor man alone, to die. Haven sighed as she came back crouching to feel his pulse. He was still breathing.

Haven tore a piece of her cloth from her shirt and gently wiped the blood away. She cleaned the area around the wound, before throwing the cloth away. After giving him the necessary first aid, her eyes landed on his smooth muscles and her hand subconsciously traced his well-groomed abs.

"What are you doing Haven, focus!" She chided herself as she realized she got carried away with his attractive body.

She tore another one as she raised the man's head a little trying to tie the wound to help speed up the healing process.

The man let out a low grunt as he slowly opened his eyes.

Haven had not really paid attention to his face until she felt the man move his hand gently.

She raised her eyes to meet the man, who stared back at her. Haven's breath hitched in her throat as their eyes met. She had never seen a man as handsome as him, in all her life. The intensity in those black eyes made her freeze as she couldn't help but stare back.

Her hands stopped moving as the both of them stared at each other. Time seemed to have slowed down as Haven's eyes darted to his slightly parted lips.

Lucious felt someone pull him up as something rubbed his neck. He had passed out due to a lack of strength and the wound on his neck which healed slower than usual. He had already mind–linked his Beta when he regained consciousness the other time and had just closed his eyes to rest when he heard the grass beneath him move slightly. Someone crouched down beside him as soft hands reached for his pulse. The person soon sat down and a piece of cloth was used to clean the blood off his wound.

Too tired to talk or even move, Lucious lay there, his eyes closed as he allowed the person to continue what she was doing. He could feel the intruder wasn't a threat to him.

His wound had almost closed in when he finally decided to open his eyes. His eyes landed on a beautiful young girl. Her pale skin contrasted with her long silver hair, which shone beautifully under the morning sun. The girl soon stopped what she was doing and looked up to meet his gaze.

That was the moment everything stopped. He felt as if the whole world came to a standstill as his eyes stared at the most beautiful pair of blue eyes he had ever seen.

Chapter 3 THE ROGUE

Raphael's wolf finally burst into an open clearing. He was a brown wolf. He shifted back to his human form, looking around for his Alpha. He was sure this was the place Lucious had told him.

The beta had been in the pack house, doing some work when he received an emergency message from the Alpha. He dashed out into the forest, mind–linking other warriors to follow him.

Raphael didn't have to look around for long as he soon found his Alpha. But what he saw made him let out a small growl.

Not too far, Raphael could see the Alpha lying on the ground with a half naked girl beside him. Raphael's face soon pulled into a frown as he saw the girl's hand seemingly roaming over the Alpha's bare body.

Raphael's blood began to boil. That girl was most definitely a rogue. His brown eyes turned black as they darted between the girl and his injured Alpha.

Thinking it was the rogue girl who had attacked the Alpha, the beta let out a low snarl as he stepped forward, ready to tear the rogue girl's limbs apart. Anger coursed through his veins as he moved towards her ready to attack her. He had barely reached them when he heard his Alpha's voice.

"No Raphael, don't." Lucious's icy voice reached his ears making him stop abruptly. Raphael's head snapped towards his Alpha.

"No Alpha, let me kill this filthy rogue. How dare this thing attack you?!" He growled angrily, making the rogue look up at him.

Sensing danger, Haven quickly let go of the man's head as she stood up. Lucious, who wasn't expecting this, felt his head hit the ground with a bang. He clenched his teeth, feeling the small pain shooting up his head.

"Alpha?!" Raphael called out in shock seeing Lucious' head hit the ground. He rushed to check on him.

"Are you okay?" He asked, making the Alpha nod a little. A small frown appeared on his face seeing the Alpha's condition. Thankfully he was healing well already.

Raphael could feel the anger boiling up again as his nose perceived the strong scent of rogue all over the Alpha.

"You fucking bitch!! How dare you attack the Alpha... !" He barked standing up, his eyes were now on the rogue girl who was moving back slowly.

"What?!" She yelled.

"What do you mean attack?! I saved his pathetic life!" Haven said through gritted teeth.

"Save?!" He itched.

"A rogue like you can never save someone's life. That's for sure" Raphael retorted as he glared at the young girl before him.

Haven chuckled a bit, this guy has got to be kidding. Rogue? She isn't some stupid rogue.

Haven's eyes slowly scrutinized the tall good–looking man before her. So far, she could have said he was one of the finest men she's ever seen - that's if he wasn't hell bent on having her neck. His attitude was already a huge turn off for Haven.

She sneered "I saved his stupid life and all you are caring about is me being a rogue?! You've got to be kidding me!"

"I'm not some rogue?! So don't you dare talk to me like that!!" Haven had no idea who these two men were, but she didn't care. She wouldn't allow some foolish people to ill-treat her.

"You know what? I really should have just let your Alpha die instead, and gone my own way. At least that way, you wouldn't have the audacity to speak to me in that tone. Neither of you have the fucking right to question me!" She spat viciously.

Haven really had her ways with words. Her mother had always told her to control how she spoke, but she never paid heed to it. She was an Alpha's daughter, and Alpha by blood. She didn't need to bow down to anyone, so she spoke whatever she felt was right.

The Beta stared at the girl before him in shock. No one had ever dared to talk to him in such a disrespectful tone before.

"How. Dare. You?!" He growled, stressing his words as he made to shift into his wolf form. Sharp claws had already started appearing on his hands. He couldn't wait to tear this disrespectful bitch into pieces.

Haven moved back a bit, ready to defend herself if anything were to go wrong. Haven trusted her combat skills, she was sure she could take on this man.

'How hard could it be?' She said to herself as she too shifted into her wolf form. At the same time, a tall man stood in front of her, blocking her view as he faced the angry wolf who was ready to tear her apart.

"That's enough Raphael, let it go." Lucious said to his angry beta in an authoritative tone.

"The girl is telling the truth, she saved me," Lucious added, his hands rubbing his sore neck.

Lucious' side–glanced at the short girl behind him. He could feel her breath grazing his back which only made him frown.

He had always been disgusted by women and simply couldn't stand the sight of them. Natasha was the only exception he had. She was the only woman he could stand being near. No, the only woman he loved being near... and now... she had betrayed him. And worst of it, with a low life rogue!

Just that thought made Lucious want to kill that bastard. He wanted to rip each and every rogue he came across.

'But not this one' He heard a voice say in his head making him sigh heavily. Looking at the girl behind him who was glaring furiously at his beta, Lucious felt the need to chuckle. He thought she looked funny standing there, staring daggers at Raphael.

His eyes turned to the Beta in front of him. "Shift" He ordered and the next second, the huge brown wolf in front of him was gone, leaving a tall man instead.

"Let it go Raphael, it wasn't her fault," Lucious stated.

"Natasha... She betrayed me," His voice was grim as he watched the shocked expression making its way to his beta's face.

"What?!! What are you saying, Lucious?!" Shock was written all over Raphael's face as his black eyes returned to their normal brown. All the anger he had felt just a moment ago suddenly disappeared hearing what Lucious had just said.

"She left me Raphael," Lucious said through gritted teeth." She betrayed me for some filthy rogue!!"

Raphael clenched his jaw hard. That bitch Natasha.

He never liked her one bit. No one apart from Lucious did. The woman was too proud and arrogant, carrying herself like she was the most important person in the world. Maybe it was because the Supreme Alpha had always been crazy about her, that she thought she could do anything and get away with it. Well, actually she did get away with everything she did! Lucious never allowed anyone to tell her anything. No one even dared.

Raphael couldn't stop the small smirk that appeared on his lips.

'Sorry Natasha, not this time. Lucious will definitely find you and I promise, he will not think of sparing your fucking life this time, because betrayal is something that his Alpha will never tolerate' He thought to himself.

Lucious simply stood there, his brows pinched together. One thing he was sure of, he will most definitely not spare Natasha. He won't spare any of them.

But for now, he had other things to deal with.

His eyes darted to his side again as they landed on the rogue girl behind him.

"You are coming with me rouge." Lucious stated, seeing as the rogue's eyes opened wide in surprise.
