Eva's POV:
The trees sheds it's leafs on me, into small ponds, brushing sands on it.
The whole New Way Street - silent, only having sounds of my moving feet. And I swear deep down, I can hear the footsteps of an angry woman approaching me.
She, a plumply looking woman in her late fifties. Her face sculptured with heavy makeup and red lipstick. Her face shows no smile, just a bit lift of lip which is obviously her natural face.
"Take this!" A bag filled with clothes was being thrown at me. I quickly caught it before it could hit my face.
"Wash those and iron them too. And I will be having them tomorrow."
"Yes ma'am."
I turned around and dragged my body out of the compound with the bag with me. Well, working like this is better than selling my body for money. I will make sure to work hard to care for my sister. I can't lack. No, I refuse to lack money for my sister's treatment.
"Hey trash girl!"
I heard someone call me with the famous nickname I usually get called with. I turned around to see him. My crush. This tall looking man endowed with the beauty of a celebrity. But as I was being called trash girl by this same person I got a crush on. He wouldn't even spare a glance at me. My clothes are worn out and my hair do look unkept, of course I fit the name 'trash girl'.
"And Where are you heading to in this time of the day?"
"To work."
"Here." He threw a bag, and I caught it. "Wash those for me and make sure to return it tomorrow evening."
"Yes sir." I quickly nod my head in agreement. I lift up my head to look at his face, but as usual, he wasn't looking at me. Not even spare a glance at me, and that saddens me a lot.
"Um." He walked away leaving me with the two bags.
I sighed softly before walking towards my home.
Yes, I have a home.
I leave with my father, I don't have a mother cause she had left me ever since I was a baby. She is dead. I have an older sister who is unfortunately very sickly. My father doesn't care about the both of us, which made I and my sister look for manual jobs just to feed ourselves.
My sister just came down with an unknown illness and the doctor had told us to go get up to hundred thousand dollars to treat her. Father doesn't care as usual, but I cared so much about my sister and I will do everything for her to be well again.
Reaching home, I met dad dragging himself into the compound with two bottle if beers with him. He grumbled, making a way towards me. His red eyes shows no sign of mercy and he looked like someone who had had a fight with someone before walking back to his home.
"Eva, money."
"But father, I don't have money." I replied.
"Give me money now or you are going to regret ever having me as a father."
I scoffed internally. As if I already don't regret having him as a father.
"I don't have money pa." My reply came out rudely. But who could blame me? I have been working all day just to put something in my mouth and for my sister's treatment. And the last thing I want right now is to meet a nagging father asking me for money.
This is America. As big as if is, he could find a job easily, but father choose not to work, lazing around like a retired man.
"Yes you have. You are just lying to me. See..." He pointed to the stuffs with me. "You have got a lot of work over there, which means you must have so many cash with you as well."
"I don't have money father." I snapped at him.
"You stubborn brat." He slapped me hard across my face and immediately, one of the bottles with him fell hard on the floor, chattering into pieces.
"Father, I don't have money!" I yelled at him.
"You..."
"Father!" His hand was being seized my my sister who rushed forward to save me.
"Let go of my wrist right this instant Silvia! You should let me teach this bastard a lesson."
"You dare not hit my sister like that." She pushed his hand away.
"Sis." I quickly went to meet my sister, stopping her from troubling herself. This man might hit her like he does to me and I don't want that.
"You kids are too pathetic. You can't just spare your father a dollar. Shame to you two."
After saying that, he sluggishly found his way back into the house.
"Are you okay?" Silvia turned to look at my face after making sure he is out of sight.
"Yes I am." I nodded in agreement.
"You shouldn't have allowed father to hit you like that. You should have dodged his hand at least. You are a woman for crying out loud, you need to protect your face at all cost."
"What can I do? He is our father Silvia, and i couldn't just disrespect him cause he hits us."
"No, you should have at least dodged his hand. Now look at your face and how swollen it is ." She brushed her hand gently across my face.
"Sis, are you okay?" I asked worriedly. She wore a cardigan which covers up almost her face. She must have been really cold all day. Her face shows no color, and that bothers me deeply.
"Um, I am. Just a slight cold. It would go away soon." She shrugged it off.
"You should go back in and rest for the day."
"No, I have to join you with your laundry. That's a lot of work I can see there."
"No, I can't risk you catching a flu. I will just do this in a few minute, you know how I could be when it comes to washing clothes."
"No let me help." She insisted.
"Sis." I quickly stopped her. "You should focus on how to get well again. I can't risk it."
"Okay dear." She stroked my hair, before going into the house.
Now I am left with this.
I picked up my purse to check how much I was left with.
Two hundred.
I think that would add more to my saving for the hospital bills.
A sudden gush of wind pass behind me.
I don't know why, but have this huge gut that someone was watching me closely.
I turned around, just to see the same line of ropes around our block.
I thought I was finally loosing it.
Yes, I was loosing it.
Silvia's POV:
I stormed into the house in exasperation. That man!
"Father! Father!!" I called out, throwing away the figurine on the small wooden desk in the middle of our untidy room. They were several clothes on the floor and most of the furnitures were in the wrong place. Well who cares? Eva will definitely arrange everything.
Edwardo, my father walked downstairs with the same bottle he had been sipping from.
"Father, you are just so unbelievable!" I snapped at the man who raises up his brows in question.
"That sister of yours was stubborn. I had to hit her so she could open up. If I haven't done that, she wouldn't have known her place!"
I sat on the couch, placing my leg on the wooden table in the middle of the room.
"You should have known she had no money with at the moment. Only when she is done with the laundries."
"I just couldn't hold back myself from hitting her." The man defended and I sighed.
Can't this father of mine at least take it easy? I don't want this girl knowing I am in plans with my father.
"Father I told you, getting money from her is easy, but you have to do it slowly. She would do everything you want her to do only if you takes it slowly. You know she only trusts me and not you. You are just too greedy to understand."
"But I have to make her fear me."
"Eva can easily be deceived. You just have to leave it to me alone. And you dare not hit her for money anymore." I pointed my finger at him before turning around, towards the fridge, bringing out a beer.
"See who is talking. You are more devious than I am Silvia. You are the only one who lied to your sister about your sickness, so she could fill your pocket, and you will sell her off very soon as our payment, right?"
"Mine and your pocket Mr, and shush! She can't hear us." I took a sip from her beer and smirked. That pathetic and useless girl. After all her mother had left her with us. It's my time to use her. "She is so pathetic and clueless. She sure wouldn't understand a thing even if I explain to her."
"She is so dumb." Edwardo laughed it off.
Eva's POV:
The clothes were already dried. I placed the clothes in the respective bags which needed to be delivered. Mrs Smith had asked me to deliver her clothes at her new apartment which I was headed to.
I waited the the bus station, holding on to the bag of neat and ironed clothes.
"Hello."
Someone approached me from the back side. "I believe this is yours."
She gave me a black purse.
But wait, how did that fall off?
"Thanks."
She placed her hand on my shoulder, and I swore I felt a strange gush of adrenaline pass through me.
I turned around to look at her, shocked.
"Be careful of how you keep your things around here, young lady. They are lot of eyes out there on you, cause I can see you have a lot in your plate."
Wait, what does she mean? I have no lot in my purse if that's what she meant. Just ten dollars and some cents.
She smiled at me, before leaving.
I rubbed my shoulders, still shocked to my wits.
That just happened.
I got into a bus headed to New Way Street. She had asked me to deliver her clothes and I can't afford to get late, or else I will not be getting a full payment.
I walked into the bus, into the farthest seat in the bus. The seats were mostly occupied, I finally found my way near an old woman.
I smiled and greeted her, before settling beside her.
I sat beside the window, before making a sigh.
The bus began to move, then I took my purse, bringing out my card.
It's a good thing everything was intact, I didn't lost anything.
"Do you perhaps have some dollar with you, my dear?" I heard the voice of the old woman . I furrowed my brows, before turning my head to see the woman staring at me. Her eyes were pleading, and that made me remember Silvia. She had pleaded to live, just like this woman had pleaded for some dollars. So how could I refuse?
"I think I am out out cash at the moment. And I have to get home to my grandchildren." She explained further.
"Yes ma'am." I quickly searched my purse, bringing out five dollars. "Here you go, ma'am. I think this will be enough."
"Yes it is my dear. Thank you so much, you are so nice." She gently said to me and I could swear the sound of her voice gave me a relief and a strange rest of mind, that everything will be alright. If she isn't old, I would have told a young woman was the one who had just spoken to me right now.
"It is alright ma'am."
"Where are you heading to, my child?" I was caught off guard by her sudden question.
"Uh? I...I am heading to New Way Street."
"I guess you are a laundress? Your neat bag looks obvious."
Yes, she must have guessed that from my outfit and my bag.
"Yes I am."
"You are really nice my dear and I must tell you, the man who gets to know and like you will be very lucky. He will be the luckiest man in the world. Trust me." A smile beamed on my face. Is that true? I hope the man who is for me will be a man devoted to his wife. I don't want someone like my father. Intact, I can't pray for any woman having a husband like my father.
"Really? Do you think so, ma'am?"
"I don't think so; I know so."
Suddenly, the bus made a tough screech, giving it a rough turn across the road.
Everyone made a gasp in alert. Even I was shocked. I held on to the old woman's hand, Incase of anything goes wrong around here. She needs to get home to her grandchildren, they must be expecting her at the moment.
"Why the heck is the driver driving like a drunkard?"
"Well, I guess he must be too happy today." The old woman said, giving a giggle.
The bus made another turn again, and again, the tyres made a rough screech. I didn't know what happen after that, but all I know is sudden clash of two cars ahead of us.
Everyone screamed, including me.
Why is this happening now?
"Ma'am, ma'am?" I turned around to see the seat beside me empty. Wait, where is she?
And again, I heard a crash, and this time, closer to our bus.
"Argh!!" Everyone screamed, including myself. And thump! Another sound came hitting the bus.
Alpha Crescent POV:
I walked through the bushes, throwing my legs around, feeling the nice freedom, even though it would be for a while. I had asked my beta for a small time of freedom, ordering him to get the works done all by himself.
My eyes soared the trees and small animals around my den. The day was extremely beautiful. If the moon goddess could lessen my work for today and let me soar high above.
Well, it's just a wish, it can never happen as an Alpha of the largest pack in the world.
'For a while? Talk more about a single bit of a moment.'
"Shut up, Moon! At least I am free from today's duties." I spoke back at him.
'You will be called back by that pitiful wolf. Stop trying to take a time out of your duty, Crescent. You are an Alpha. A prince. You are expected to act like one."
"Aren't you tired of talking? You should enjoy a moment of freedom, will you?"
'I am enjoying nothing!'
Well, I cannot blame him. He is an Alpha Wolf. He is more energetic than I am. He is meant to be working, but I am tiring him instead by walking around.
"Well, good for you." I snapped back at him.
Still moving around, I heard strange sounds coming from the trees. I looked away, continuing my journey to freedom. Why should I care about a rabbit?
Walking around, I heard the sound again, this time louder. I furrowed my brows, wondering who would be wandering around this border. And that doesn't sound like parading wolves, also doesn't sound like rabbits or squirrels either. It is definitely someone moving around the borders.
"Moon, do you hear that?"
'Loud and clear Crescent.' My wolf stood up in alert.
I heard the sound making a change of place. I moved closer to know what it was, and instead, a sharp smell of cinnamon, mixed with wooden mane filled my nostrils. That smell; so good.
I saw her, standing behind the tree, staring eye to eye with me.
"Mate!"
My wolf howled out.
I felt my heart miss a beat, as I stared at her pure green eyes. My mate; she is beautiful. My mate at twenty four? Oh my...
I could also know from her smell that she is an higher-up wolf.
'what are you doing standing like a statue, Crescent? Our mate! We found our mate!" Moon howled excitedly.
"What is your name?" She questioned me instead. I was shocked, but too happy that I didn't hesitate to tell her my name.
"Crescent Moon." I happily replied, having a smile on my face. I reached her hand, but immediately, she took it away.
"Crescent Moon??" She frowned.
"I, Jasmine Alexander Hamilton daughter of Hamilton Derek...hereby rejects Crescent Moon as my rightful mate,"
I widened my eyes in shock, as I listened to the words she was saying. What does she mean by that?
"Because I don't want to die prematurely. I prefer to live and have another mate to love and care for me. I hereby reject Crescent Moon because if I remain his mate, I would certainly die being his mate."
"What are you saying? Why would you die. Why are you doing this? At least tell me?" I wanted to take her hands, but she backed off, trying to go far away from me and instantly I felt pains in my chest.
My wolf growled, even I growled in anxiety, shock; but mostly pains that my heart couldn't take any longer.
I felt my eyes getting heavier as the seconds pass by. My visions were getting blurrier, but I couldn't miss the moment she ran off, leaving me in pain which I am very sure she is having too.
I growled, feeling a drop on my cheek. I fell into the abyss of darkness at that moment.
Was I dead? No! I wasn't dead, but partly dead.
Jasmine Alexander Hamilton, why did you do this? Why?!
*
I woke up someone moments later, feeling distressed and extremely angered to the brink, that I had to shred off my clothes in exasperation. My wolf howled inside of me, trying to get freed and destroy. I also want to destroy all of them, all and I allowed him.
I allowed Moon to take over me completely
I allowed him to raid and destroy. I allowed him to get angered, more than the way I was.
We raided the forest, and began to shred any rogue we find on our way. Any who tried to get on our way gets to die in a very bad way and shape. Moon was angered, down to the moon river, and who could calm him down. No damn werewolf could do that. Not even my dead father.

Eva's POV:
I made a groan, feeling aches all over my body. I opened my eyes, and made a loud cough, spitting out a mouthful of blood. I brushed my finger on my face to feel it if I was actually alive and not my spirit on the floor.
And it was, it was my body. I am not dead. But they are no bus spare parts on the floor. Not even the clothes.
I swallowed my saliva, looking around and wondering where I am. Where the heck is this forest? I allowed my eyes wander around, feeling the outermost fear inside me.
"Oh god, where am I?" I made a whimper in fear. And it's night already.
I couldn't help but yell for help.
"Hello!!" I stood on my feet, looking around the dense forest. All I could hear is my echo, sound of moving leaves, sound of singing birds and small animals.
And my bag? Oh no! I looked around my vicinity to see if I could see traces of my bag or any of my stuffs, but nothing.
The old woman. Oh my gosh!
"Oh!" I squatted, still looking lost. I can't believe this had happened. They were lot of people in that bus. So many people: students, children's, parents, workers, even that old woman, we were heading to our destinations, before the accident happened. I really hoped they were save. The ambulance must have taken them. Yes, that's right.
That's right.
My ears perked the minute I heard a growl, right behind me.
"No, no, that shouldn't be what I am thinking it is."
I heard the growl become two, and immediately I turned around to see what it is.
Grey eyes. No, they are different colors of eyes. And they are coming towards me.
A whole lot of them!
"Oh god!" I fell on my butts as I stared at the animals snarling and moving towards me slowly.
"Help me! Help! Please help!!"
I yelled at the top of my voice and the wolf made a growl, just like it was telling me to shut up, and I did immediately.
I moved away from the wolves, hating the fact that they are coming more closer towards me.
"Back off." I grabbed a stick behind me, throwing it at them. "Don't come near me! Back off now!"
The second one howled, and jumped towards me.
I screamed out my heart in fear.
One, two, three, four, nothing is happening. Are they gone?
I heard a rough and wicked growl in front of me.
Lifting up my head to see what it is, I saw an extremely huge black wolf, attacking the other wolves.
I widened my eyes in amazement, as I stared at the midnight wolf as it attacked skillfully and majestically. The wolf fought for me. This is unbelievable.
The huge jet black wolf made a loud howl, then attacked the entire wolf coming towards me. It shredded them to pieces, moving them away from my way, and making sure they feel a very brutal death.
After a moment, the wolf stopped after making sure it had killed them all.
It stood still, as if waiting for something to happen.
Oh my, this is a very huge wolf. I never knew something like this existed. Infact, I have never seen any animal breed as huge as this. It is much a huge and almost as tall as an elephant. Pure black and has a weird golden eyes. It looked superior and looked like the king of all animals in the forest.
After a moment of silence, it finally turned it's head to look at me. I squeaked, falling on the floor in fear. It's eyes were stuck on mine, and me, I couldn't even move my eyes away from it.
It growled, as if, it was calming down.
"You saved me." I muttered to it. "Thank you, so much."
It made a snarl, and if I could hear clearly. It said 'leave'
Wait, I sure heard wrong. I definitely heard wrong. How could a animal speak? It's impossible. It is definitely impossible for an animal to speak. I chuckled internally, snapping out of it. What am I thinking??
It moved away from me, walking into the thick forest.
"But wait, don't leave yet."
I said, but it vanished through the dark forest. Wow, that's the first time I had seen something like that. A Wolf. A huge black and beautiful wolf.
Speaking about huge, Madam would kill me. She would destroy me. I had lost her clothes. Oh! And I am very late from delivering Derek's clothes. Oh, I am screwed.
How can I get home now? It's very late in the night. I can't walk home, if I do not want to get raped this time.
I sighed, feeling quite confused. I wish the midnight wolf could stay with me till morning. If I continue staying here, I might get attacked again, and if I leave, I would definitely get kidnapped, killed or raped by reckless men. Oh, I am lost now.
I almost teared up, feeling lost about everything.
I heard a growl inside the dark forest. I quickly stood up high in alert, wondering if it's another wolf trying to attack me.
And to my surprise, it was the midnight wolf. I widened my eyes, as it moved beside me, sitting on the floor, and lying on its front legs. Will it stay with me? For real?
"Are you really going to stay with me?" I grinned happily.
It didn't answer me, and instead, it lowered it's head to rest well. It's strange believing an animal who could eat me in the middle of the night, but I don't why I have a good haunch about it. I could believe the animal. I could definitely do that.
I slept beside it, feeling extremely save. Even saver from my family. It was a strange feeling, and I liked it well.
I closed my eyes, drifting into a deep slumber.
