All I Wanted

"jane!!" My dad's voice calls from the hallway. I open my eyes while yawning so loud. I picked my phone from the little table beside my tiny bed to check the time, the light from the phone made my eyes close immediately. In no time my eyes adapt to the light and it is just 6am. I groaned.

"Jane hurry up, you don't want to be late" he yells

"I'm awake already" i groaned.

Hi, I'm Jane and my life it's kinda complicated. I'm to resume to California state university today and my dad is overwhelmed with excitement about it. He wants me to be a doctor but that's like a really boring job to me. Before I lost my mum, she used to teach me some dance moves and I grew to be a natural that I am right now. My dad hates it, he hates dancers. He's the religious kind of man so he calls it a waste of time.

Even though I'm not interested in this "course" if mine I still have to be prepared.

"Good morning Dad" I say as I approach the dining room. I can already smell the aroma of roast chicken and my tummy wants to just consume everything at this point.

"Good morning my jewel" He says as he kissed my forehead

"I can't believe you're grown already, it's all like a dream and today you'll be miles away from me" he's getting emotional now.

"You'll be fine dad" he's trying to hide his tears now.

My dad gets emotional most times but he's as tough as a rock and as stubborn as a goat.

" I made roast chicken" he says as he brings out the yummy little chicken from the oven

"Be careful it's still ho.." he raises his head to see me taking a big bite out of the meal already. He chuckled.

"I'll miss you" he says while smiling

"I'll miss you too Dad".

After breakfast I went to my room to take my bath since that would be the only thing I'll be doing. I arranged my outfits already and I don't feel a little bit nervous.

As soon as the hot water touches my skin my body relaxed under the shower as I run my fingers in my hair and shaved my arm pit. I might as well set a reminder on my phone to remind me to buy some wax.

I tie the towel around my waist and walk out of the bathroom, I really don't have much time left. I hurrily dry my air,wear my clothe, an off shoulder top and a high waisted blue jean. I put on my lucky bracelet, the one my mother gave to me.

"Jane!!" Dad yells again

"I'm coming" I yell back

"Take care dear and are you sure you don't need me to escort you?"

"That won't be necessary dad and I don't want to stress you" I say.

He helps me to put my luggages in the booth of my car and kisses me on my forehead.

"Jane?"

"Yeah?"

"Focus" he says

I enter my car and starts to drive, I can still see my dad watching my car. Well... he'll be fine.

"California state university" I say as I read the big sign board.

I see a lot of cars moving in and out of the school premises, I'm sure they're all freshers that were accompanied by their parents. I didn't want my dad to accompany me because then he'd have to take a flight back home and it won't be totally sane if we took our separate cars besides I don't want to stress the old man. I'm the only one he has left ever since he lost my mother. I love him but hell dance is my life, I'm going to study this course and pass but it won't be my future.

I checked my Google map for directions to my campus, it's not really far from where I am right now. I started driving while blasting the speakers of my car with Dua Lipa. I am a huge fan of hers and her song excites me. I remember the day I was taking a stroll on the road with my dad and a passerby was playing "idgaf", it was just like a reflex because I started singing to it immediately without noticing that people were staring at me and my dad was right there laughing and shaking his head.

I got to the campus and parked my car. I'll leave my luggages in booth for now, I should probably check my room out. It was easy to locate my room since every room had numbers on the door, I hope my room turns out to be great.

I opened the door and saw two girls inside the room, they both look like my age.

"Hi I'm Jane and I'm your new roommate" I say with a smile on my face, they surveyed me from my head to toe in a rhythm like they had planned on doing that before I got into the room.

"Kara" the slim brunette girl says.

"Nice to meet you Kara" I say with a smile.

"Susan" the other girl says, she's kind of slim but with curves and has her hair braided. I love box braids, yup I'm definitely going to make one of those.

"I'm glad I have cool roommates like y'all" I say.

"You don't look bad either" Susan says.

"Alright I'll just go get my stuffs from my car" I say

"We'll help" they offer.

"Great" I say with a broad smile.

We got to where my car was parked, I opened the booth and they actually helped me with my stuffs, okay they're really nice.

"Thank you" I say.

We got to our room and they carefully dropped it by the empty bed which I think is mine now.

"There you go" Kara says.

"I really appreciate y'all, how can you be so pretty and so nice at the same time" I say and they both giggle.

"So what course are you here to study?" Kara asks.

"Uhm... Medicine" I reply

"She's a genius" Susan says.

"But....what are you here for?" Kara asks with an eyebrow up.

I chuckled "dance" I reply

"And????" Susan asks again like they wanna hear something else but I understood where they were going to.

"Okay okay... Fine and boys" I say and we all burst into laughter

" I knew it" Susan says.

"Congratulations you've passed the test, you're a really cool person we thought you'd be a nerd but you'll definitely not fit in if you were a nerd" Kara says.

"I'm studying physiology and she's studying mass communication" Susan says.

"Wow that's some really good course" I reply.

"Susan I don't think I'll be able to go to the party tonight" Kara says.

"But why" Susan says while pouting her lips.

"I'm trying to avoid Jonah"

"Oh! Your little crush" Susan says and laughs. " But who will I go to the party with, I can't go alone it'll be super boring or would you like to come with me?" She asks looking at my direction.

"Oh me? I wish I could but I'm way exhausted, the stress from driving and everything" I say.

"Hmm... I understand, I'll just stay here with y'all then since no one's going" Susan says.

I brought out my clothes and shoes and practically everything from my box and arranged them in my wardrobe. After arranging them I took a towel and headed for the bathroom.

"I want to have a quick shower" I say as I got into the bathroom.

The bathroom looks nice and clean and I'm glad my room mates are neat. I pulled off my clothes and turned on the shower. I heaved a sigh of relief as the water touched me. I swear I might be a mermaid with my obsession with water. After I was satisfied I tied the towel around my body and came out of the bathroom with my dirty clothes in my hands.

I dropped the clothes In an empty laundry basket at the corner of the room. I couldn't see Susan and Kara maybe they went to the party already. I picked a night dress from my wardrobe and wore it. I actually hate wearing panties or bras at night.

I jumped on my bed and the feeling was so good I knew I'd sleep after some minutes.

Susan and Kara walked in, I guess they didn't go to the party after all.

"Aww she's sleeping already, I might as well just sleep now" Kara says.

I was really trying to fall asleep but I just couldn't as I was about to stand up to maybe drink some milk to help me with sleep I heard Susan dialing a number. I don't know why I didn't just stand up from the bed rather than still pretending I was asleep.

"Hey Michael can you come over" I hear Susan whispering to the person she was on call with

"Yes they're here but they're fast asleep, they won't figure out anything" she says

I really wish I could hear what the person was saying but I couldn't. What are they talking about.

"Come on, don't be such a pussy, I told you they're asleep already just come over here, I'll be expecting you in 15 minutes" she says and ends the call.

Whoever she's was talking to must be living close to this campus because she expects him to be here in 15 minutes. But what the fuck are they up to and am I really safe here?

There was a knock on my door and goosebumps were all over my body, different thoughts were going through my head and at this moment I know I'm scared as fuck.

I could hear Susan's movement towards the door

"What took you so long" she whispers to the guy as she opens the door.

"I'm just five minutes late Suzy" he replies.

"It's my turn now" Susan says.

I opened my eyes a little to see what they were actually doing since the room is actually dark and no one can see my eyes open.

Susan bent on her knees while Michael was standing. I can't really see them clearly since everywhere is just so dark.

"Arghh" I hear Michael groaning. Holy cow I think she's giving him a blow job.

"Come for me Michael" Susan says with Michael's length in her throat.

"I'm definitely going to get a paying job as a dancer and rent an apartment so I'll stay alone. I can't stay with these girls any longer" u say in my mind.

I noticed how tired I was already and decided to force the sleep in and it worked because I was feeling sleepy in no time.
