Chapter 1 BEFORE DAWN

VIVIAN'S POV

I couldn't stop thinking about my first day at school as I nestled in the covers of the velvet colored bed sheet. The rays of light from the morning sunrise shone brightly on the window frame.

I woke up to the whistles of a hummingbird as I with my toothbrush heading towards the bathroom door.

I hated this very day. I was kind of nervous and not sure of the type of people I'll end up meeting with. Horrors of my parents' brutal death haunted me every single moment. I was disturbed with my eyes filled with fear and terror. Their screams will sometimes echo in my ears that I found it difficult to concentrate.

Stuck in the middle of a metropolitan city after fleeing from the woodlands things never got better but I needed to keep calm and try to adapt. But it was a very difficult thing to do...............

"Hop in the car let's get going,"

"Never mind, I'll use my bike instead," I replied

"Just listen to me Vivian. Must you always be a jerk? I'm gonna drive you down there by myself,"

Nicholas said with arched eyebrows.

"Can you give me some breathing space? I don't enjoy being caged, okay? I'm old enough to drive myself," I told him.

"You can't drive down there alone, they're a lot of roughnecks in downtown Carson street."

"Nicholas, you don't have to worry about me, I'll be fine."

I sped off on the motorcycle, looking forward to the beginning of a new day at school. Putting on my headphones as I blasted loud music down the highway driving at an incredible speed as I made my way towards Carson's Bridge.

Few moments later, I showed up at my new school and pulled up at the parking lot before turning off the steaming motorcycle engine.

I alighted, taking off my headphones, relaxing for a while before taking a deep, heavy breath to help me recover from the crazy morning drive. I was apprehensive about enrolling in another school. Particularly since this is another school with a totally different set of people and I didn't actually have friends over here.

Nobody really took me seriously because my brother Nicholas was always restrictive. I mumbled a few words to myself before stepping out of the parking lot.

"Hey" I heard a voice calling from behind. I hopped in shock and twirled around to see an exceptionally lovely young lady with radiant pink hair standing before me.

"Hi there" I said

"Hi sweetie, I'm Elena Sage"

"I'm Vivian" I said smiling

"It seems you're new to this environment?"

"Yeah, Just moved in a few months ago". I nodded trying to avoid direct eye contact. She looked stunning, I was certainly not her match.

"Can I show you around?." She winked

"Yeah for sure," I screeched energetically. I was in an excessive amount of shock at her flagrancy to even acknowledge what was going on.

She showed me around and the next spot was the reception. The place was calm and quiet with only some five to seven workers pacing back and forth.

"You must be the new girl?".

"Yes, Ma" I replied

"I go by the name Mrs Latifah. I'm the receptionist, as may be obvious. Here is your class to-do list and your locker number. If you ever need anything, just inform me". she chuckled and I smiled back.

"Much thanks to you," I said and took the files she gave me prior to leaving the reception office.

Elena, in a flash, got the papers from my hand and read over my timetable before screaming loudly....

"Jeez! We're having almost the same schedule, except for one particular subject." She frowned. I giggled not finding it appealing either.

"This is perfect. We're definitely going to be a perfect match and you know you might be the best thing I've ever come across."

"Really? Are you serious?" I questioned.

"Definitely, I'm not joking," she said with conviction

"What if we have a hangout at my place tonight? I got enough space. You need not worry about comfort and accommodation," she boasted.

"Not to sound discourteous Elena, but don't you have cronies?" I inquired.

"Obviously I do. However, none of those folks can deal with the level of brilliance and intelligence that I possess". She said, and I burst out laughing. Was she really as brilliant as she claimed?

Although I have known her for the past 15 minutes, I really enjoyed her company. It was a good sign that she's going to make a good friend.

Elena took me on a tour around the school, causing us to miss the first lesson scheduled during that hour, however we made it to the subsequent session of the class.

"Good morning all, it appears we have a newbie among us today, or should I say a new entrant. Vivian, would you like to make a formal introduction to the class". The instructor said,

Thinking how awkward it was to have such countless eyes on me and yet still had to go up to the front in order to make a formal introduction.

"Hello everyone, I'm Vivian Blackwood, 19 years of age, and I moved here as of late with my sibling.," I shrugged, feeling flustered.

"You can now take a seat, Vivian," the Instructor said. I was smiling uncontrollably as I returned to my seat. It was as if a burden was lifted up my shoulders. I'd finally done the newbie introduction and it wasn't actually a big deal at all.

"Vivian, I'm here with my twin brother, Tyler. He's sitting just behind us."

I glanced to see who she was talking about. He had spiky hair and looked more like a street urchin.

"Tyler, meet my friend, Vivian," she introduced me to Tyler. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Hello Tyler," I waved

.

"Hey Viv," He replied while looking straight into my eyes, but I looked away immediately. I giggled and peered down at the book on my desk.

As Tyler, Elena and I fell into deep silence, out of nowhere I heard a group of voices muttering unintelligible sounds before one of them said in a hushed tone.

"Wow! It seems the new young lady will sit next to him. " I heard some students converse in what should be silent whispers, yet because of my werewolf hearing instincts, I heard them loud and clear.

I glared at them and turned towards Elena and Tyler, who looked somewhat awkward.

"Who will sit next to me?" I asked Elena. Her face abruptly went pale, and I realized something was definitely wrong. Although I haven't known her for long, I realized something probably frightened her enough to persuade her to be so quiet.

"Elena? Tyler?" I inquired. They stayed quiet.

"I need a reply, please!" The answer was what I wanted. I was excessively inquisitive.

"I'm so happy you didn't sit on the other side of the desk. He would have been so irate," Elena muttered.

"I can remember a random guy who sat there one fateful day. The boy was gone forever. Nobody holds him up".

" Who the hell is this dude you're talking about?" I asked, befuddled.

"He frightens me," Elena grumbled, her head trembling.

"He frightens everybody. His wolf is so strong," Tyler spoke softly. I sighed in disappointment.

"Who folks?! Who's this guy that is dreaded by everyone?" I snapped, getting irritated with them.

Elena and Tyler both look around the classroom, back and forth. They did this twice, which got me questioning their sanity before both saying exactly the same thing.

"The Alpha..." They chorused

Suddenly, out of nowhere, came a bloodcurdling howl that echoed over the classroom block, one of grief and heartrending sorrow.

Chapter 2 THE NEXT EPISODE

VIVIAN'S POV

It scared the living daylights out of me when I looked up and saw that it was just the instructor at the front row attempting to put the class in order.

"Alright, settle down everyone."

"You will work on a short-term task, or should I say, a project. Which be will designing the costume for the choral group, who will be attending the school prom in two weeks time".

Energized mumbles rang through the class. I sat there totally perplexed as many thoughts ran through my mind. I've never been to a prom hosted by the county sheriff. I can't remember having one in where I came from. It was totally strange to me, but it was surely going to be more than just a feast.

"I'm grouping you in pairs, a duo kind of stuff, you know?" The instructor said with a smirk.

"For the prom?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I'm going to call out each duo alongside their partners, and you're going to remain together until the end of the undertaking. We got the first duo on the list, Rob and Jasmine......"She continued reading out the names till she got to Elena.

"Elena and Tyler, I hope the two of you will get along together," she said. Elena screeched in shock and attempted to cuddle Tyler, while Tyler looked somewhat awkward as everyone's eyes stared in their direction and he taught how much of a jackass his sister could be. I surmise everyone in class was used to Elena's unsteady or mutable character.

"From the readings on my tarot card, it seems we're only left with a single pair, namely Vivian Blackwood and Adolphus Creed."

"Has anybody seen Creed today?"

"He said he's going to arrive late, like some thirty-minutes from now," Devon, a blonde-haired Caucasian, echoed from behind.

"Okay, the info we got is that Mr. Creed is unavoidably absent. By the way, Vivian, I think you can figure out the whole thing by yourself. Cus, it seems Creed might not be showing up today," the instructor said assuringly.

"Sure, I will," I said and took out a piece of paper.

"Who's this guy?" I asked Elena while half of the entire class had started discussing the pros and cons to be observed before the upcoming prom. Elena and Tyler went numb, and both gazed at the empty seat.

"Oh, dammit!"

I yelled somewhat disappointed as I quickly discerned that I was currently matched with the Alpha.

Creed was so horrible that even a mere mention of his name made a rogues like Elena to become docile and inactive. He must be very hardened.................

It was time for the next lesson, and this time around the instructor was a man in his early forties with a pair of glasses dressed in some old shirts and a mismatched pair of trousers obviously made from two different materials.

The Instructor, Mr Stewart, appeared to be odd and out of proportion. He was marginally straightforward. He appeared to be adequately pleasant, however; he didn't make me feel embarrassed by asking me to reintroduce myself once again before the entire class.

Suddenly a warm, woody oriental scent oozed in my direction. I found it difficult to breathe, the fragrance was so strong that I almost choked. The next thing, I felt someone using his palm to blindfold me and later folded his arms around me.

I stifled, and the person promptly released his arms.

"Hey, What's good?," a coarse strong voice whispered in my ear. I was in absolute shock as shivers ran down my spine and cold shivers diffused all around my neck and arms. I attempted to turn him away, yet he snarled in a feral and vicious tone, making my inner wolf growled.

"I need to be certain of your mysterious identity." I muttered as I was breathing heavily.

"You have the rest of your life to learn more about me," He snapped back and placed his head over my neck. I glared, inquisitive regarding who this outsider was and why he smelt so darn wonderful! Likewise, for what reason did he cause me to feel shivery and frightened?

"Hey, Alpha" Elena made a little bow, Tyler doing likewise after her. Which made me a little worried as to the level of reverence being given to this dude as if he was a god or something.

"It seems you've heard a lot about me, right?".

He smiled as he whispered in my ear. I panted in complete shock. Adolphus Creed, this alleged startling man, is my mate!

"Yes, a lot of terrible things about you. I'm not impressed".

"Really? You don't need to start drawing conclusions. Why not get close to me and then we can understand each other? It's no big deal".

Wow! I figured out how to twirl around in his arms, heaving at the sight before me. He was hot and extremely cute. But his cuteness was an absolute waste, since his character was the exact opposite.

He had dyed brown spikey hair. I felt like I needed to run my hands through it. He had piercing dark green eyes alongside thick eyebrows.

Nature obviously made it that way to make all the girls envious. He had a pointed nose and huge pink lips to die for.

He had a strong, chiseled jaw that reminded me of Thor. I looked further down and my eye balls almost dropped out of my eye sockets. He was a great sight to behold at the same time a menace to society. I could still see his abs through his tight fitting transparent t-shirt.

Oh my God! He was such a hunky shape shifter. At the point when my eyes met his gaze, he grinned at me.

"Well, I'm still not impressed" I said blushing as I turned away from his grasp walking over to my seat. However, Creed still held my hands and dragged me towards himself.

"Hey, try not to leave me, okay?" he snapped, and I gazed at him, stunned and somewhat terrified. He pulled me over to his seat and sat me close to him. I was excessively frightened to move to another seat.

Creed threw his arm around my shoulders. He was extremely possessive.

Creed's lovely fragrance was making me not think clearly, preventing me from concentrating.

Towards the ending of the last lesson, I was apprehensive. What happens when we leave the class block? How is Creed going to react? At the point when we left the lecture hall, Creed couldn't wait to have me in his arms. He was cradling me from behind as we strolled down the doorway. It was really awkward.

"Creed, just let me walk by myself. I'm not cool with you wrapping your arms around me," I told him.

"Hey! You can't just stop me from doing what is gonna make you feel good," he snapped.

"I'm okay by myself. I simply feel awkward with you all over me," I murmured.

Creed groaned and hesitantly disengaged himself from me and settled to hold my hands for the meantime.

"What's wrong with you Creed, can you just stop touching me? I don't know you, just stay off!!" I snapped.

"I'm not letting you go!" he snapped,

and I sighed.

I could as of now tell that this is not going to end well. Nothing more, nothing less.

Chapter 3 TRIPLE THREAT

VIVIAN'S POV

The next day after school hours, Elena bought a brew mixed with vodka and gin. The gin and vodka combination was far too lethal for my poor liver, so I ended up puking.

By noon, I was very weak and exhausted. Creed was so irritated. Several times, he attempted to stop any guy that approached me.

I was currently in the cafeteria sulking like a kid. Elena was making fun of my sudden behavior.

"It is not a laughing matter. I would rather not have a possessive mate. At least for once he should learn to be polite towards other people," I said.

"Creed has never been great. I don't think he can ever be of any good. You better petition the moon goddess that his character changes," Elena replied, and I took a deep breath.

"Oh! Here he comes," I muttered to myself. I shut my eyes and trusted that Creed would bring my lunch, since he requested I should wait for him at the cafeteria.

When Creed came over with my lunch, I thanked him for the kind gesture and started eating. I just felt hopeless when he was around.

Would it be advisable for me to be having this impression about my mate?

As though detecting my misery, Creed grabbed his scarf from the table and attempted to leave.

"I need to leave," He muttered and stood up. However, I unexpectedly got him and pulled him to sit close to me.

That wasn't me. My wolf had in a real sense dominated me and I had zero control over my sudden behavior.

"You're staying. Continue staying glued to that seat, got it?" My inner Wolf echoed.

I turned Creed on, and I could not prevent my inner wolf from aggravating my plight.

"Can I get you some drinks?" Creed asked

"Yes, preferably juice" I replied

After several minutes of battling my inner wolf, I figured out how to curb her and recapture control. Everyone was looking intensely towards our sitting area.

While Creed had gone to get the juice I struck a side conversation with Elena.

"I can't wait to find my mate," Elena sighed as she munched on a large chunk of grilled sandwich.

"It's not the way you're thinking. In real life, it's totally different. You think you'll find Mr. Right, however, you end up with a possessive Alpha who won't even let you breathe while being so callow and insecure," I said out of anger.

Creed suddenly approached mumbling a few words as he continuously shook his head.

"Please accept my apologies Vivian, I just cannot resist the urge. My inner wolf is too strong for my liking. And as you know, Alpha wolves are so difficult to control. Please accept my heartfelt apologies," He muttered.

"I ought to leave you now in peace," he said in a soft tone and left.

I gazed at his manner of departure. I abruptly felt cold. Void. For what reason did he cause me to feel so finished?

While he's being an over possessive jerk, I simply feel good and now that he's gone, I feel empty. I really wanted him to return.

"Creed! Hold on please," I shouted at him and stood up from my seat. I ran out of the cafeteria and went after him...................

"I've finally tracked down my mate, boy," I heard a familiar voice say.

I could detect that voice from anyplace. Although I've just known him for a few weeks, his voice causes me to feel invigorated. Hearing his wonderful, profound voice causes my body to ignite with want and my wolf becomes a lot harder to control.

"It seems you're the happiest man alive since you've found your mate, someone you've been searching for since your mid-teens," Oliver replied to Creed.

"Definitely, I know, however she detests me, she really can't stand me. " Creed sounded so crushed. My inner wolf whimpered from inside me, yet I pushed her to the rear to be controlled by my wits. With that being done, I could now concentrate properly while watching Creed.

"That sucks, brother. How did you make her hold you in contempt?" Oliver asked Creed.

"I'm excessively possessive, yet I cannot resist her. She's absolutely wonderful. She has the smoothest dark brown colored hair and the most striking blue eyes. I simply need to gaze into them day in, day out. She has flawless smooth skin and her body. Oh my God, don't even let me go on her body. She's ideally suited for me and I've just wrecked the whole thing," Creed said.

"Hey, come on man why sound like an infatuated bitch? You're a real goddamn Alpha for God's sake! Stop acting weird, bro," Oliver said.

"Oliver! I can't help it. I find it distasteful, having such whimsy feelings, and yet I love it. I love the reality that I've found my potential mate yet, how might I persuade her I'm not as awful as she suspects I am?" Creed muttered.

"Fella, you are an alpha. Tell her to be a decent little mate, okay?" Oliver said.

Creed snarled, his eyes turned red as he took Oliver by the neck and pinned him against the wall.

"I have more regard for her than anything else! Try not to talk as if she's some slave or that she's underneath me, we're joined to each other. She is my Luna, and you will regard her as nothing more, nothing less. Do you understand dawg?".

Creed stared at him with bloodshot eyes. Oliver attempted to say something, however all that was coming from his mouth were coughing sounds as he gasped for breath. I needed to step in before Creed ended up killing him.

"Creed! What's wrong with you? Release him before you end up hurting someone!" I shouted, hurrying towards the pair. Creed immediately dropped Oliver to the ground and folded his arms over me.

He buried his head in my neck and breathed in my scent. I just let him. He was trying to keep calm.

"Please accept my apologies," Creed murmured. "I didn't think that you should at any point see me lose my cool. I'm really sorry." He said, and I nodded.

"Creed, we want to take things at a slow and steady pace. I don't despise you, however I am really out on this volatile attitude of yours," I told him.

"Alright, I surmise this isn't the most ideal chance to let you know that you'll be moving in with me when school closes. Before you contend this I'm letting you know now, I won't take no for an answer. I want you to be with me. I won't have the option to eat or rest without you being close to me......."

"What? Are you high or something?".

"Shhh" He hissed

"Don't contend with this, please. You can take a brief trip and see your siblings. I can consent to that, but at no instance do I want you to leave me". He whispered and pulled me closer to him.

"Is that all? It seems you're moving way too quick," I said.

"As I would like to think, it's not quick enough. I haven't even kissed you yet. " Creed grinned and licked his lips. I blushed and immediately turned away from him.

"Could you get to kiss me once you quit being so uppity? Beginning with allowing me to live with my brother. You can't take me away from him," I said, which made Creed go nuts.

"Then I'm moving in with you!" He said with an air of authority

"Remain with your own pack, Creed," I told him.

"You don't have to tell me what I'm supposed to do," he glared at me once more.

"Alright," I gasp. I realized I needed to surrender, since I would definitely not win this contention. Creed sneered down at me and touched my cheek with his warm hands.

"What are you doing?" I inquired.

He growled and kissed my forehead.

"Nothing," He muttered. I moved some steps backward and attempted to move back, however he kept me set up. I frowned at his behavior and he laughed.

"I need to kiss you," He begged. I felt shy.

"Not here" I protested. He grinned and kissed my forehead once more.

"Maybe later," He whispered. The very thought of kissing Creed caused me to feel nauseous.

Towards the closing time at school, I was feeling better.

Creed wasn't so bossy as he had been the first time we met before. He had really been alright.

He had recently been in his own little air pocket. As for any other guy who might attempt to address him, he just discourteously disregarded them. I was strolling to my vehicle when Creed found me.

"You were supposed to wait for me at the locker room," He muttered and embraced me from behind. It embarrassed me as a group of students gazed at us. I bet it befuddled them concerning why Creed was nestling with the new girl in school.

"I want to return home. Elena and I are having a sleep over this evening. Presumably she'll be bringing Tyler along," I said.

"Alright, I'll meet you at your home. I want to pack some clothes," He told me.

"Were you really serious about moving in with me?" I asked, stunned.

"Serious as a heart attack, Viv. I cannot wait to have you in my arms this evening. Until then..." He chuckled and tenderly kissed my cheek.

"I'll see you later, baby girl," he said, being overly excited. I watched him stroll across the parking lot and get into his vehicle before I also mounted my bike and advanced towards home.
