ALEXA; BRIDE OF THE DEMON KING

Under the bright shining moon stood a girl dressed in white. Her hands up and her hair scattered over her face and all of a sudden, she let out a loud scream.

"Aaaaargh! Why me? Why me?!" She yelled as she hit her chest repeatedly. Tears fall non stop from her eyes.

The moonlight still shone brightly on her yet nothing happened. She knew that the night of the full moon will soon be over. She slowly wiped her tears and stared at the moon.

"I'm 20 already and why don't I possess any powers yet?" She thought and slowly walked away. Soon the moon light started to go down. She decided to sit and wait. She couldn't bear to face her parents. She was a total disgrace to them already.

She walked more farther and found a bench. She slowly adjusted her white gown and sat on it. The wind started to blow and her long blonde hair kept getting stuck on her face and she struggled to keep to tuck them at the back of her hair.

She was lost in thoughts when suddenly an image appeared and disappeared in an instant. Alexa suddenly looked up but saw no one. She sighed and then rubbed her palms together. It happened again in a flash and she then stood up and peeked. There she saw a figure. It was more like a masculine figure. She almost fidgeted and slowly she took a step backwards but almost immediately she summoned courage and then took another look at the figure, who was putting on a black hood standing immobile. Alexa sighed and then took slow steps towards the creature which she knew was supernatural but eye couldn't figure out who it was.

"A vampire! A werewolf or a witch. The figure stood there immobile and she finally approached him. She was about to touch his shoulders when it suddenly disappeared out of sight. She gasped and suddenly turned back tilting her head to the right side looking for him.

She was quite surprised at the great speed the creature possessed. She sighed again and tilted her head to the other side. Suddenly a strong cold hand grabbed her waist and a low gasp escaped her lips.

Immediately Alexa felt the wind grazing her soft but delicate skin and in a flash, her back bumped into a wall, Alexa slowly opened her eyes to look at the strange person, her heart pounding fast as it could. His hands on each side as of making sure she could not escape from him.

Her mouth hung slightly when she opened her eyes, the guy's black hair fell delicately on his right eye but she could see the other eye. It was gray and very beautiful but she couldn't see the other part of his face because it was covered by a mask. She could still tell he was handsome.

"Done staring!" His cold husky voice said and she looked at him.

"Who are you?" She asked in a whisper and the strange guy removed his hands from the wall and moved backwards. He turned and almost wanted to leave but her voice stopped him.

"Who are you? A vampire or a werewolf?" She asked and he slightly turned.

"Blue eyes, I think you should out about that yourself!" He said and without hesitation, he vanished out of sight and Alexa sighed. She groaned and hit her fists on the wall hardly. Her hands bled almost immediately and but it immediately healed. That's the only ability that she possessed.

She could heal quickly and faster in a second. She groaned mentally and started going back to her earlier suit until she heard someone calling her name.

"Alexa, Alexa" She heard the familiar voice call and she stopped right in the spot. Only him knows where to find her, regardless of the situation.

"Eric..." She muttered and turned to the direction where she heard the voice come from.

"Eric!" She yelled also and in a few seconds, Eric appeared before her. His eyes widened as he scanned her entire body and then pulled her into the hug. Alexa smiled and then hugged him back gently. He pulled away from the hug and kissed her forehead gently.

"You scared me like crazy" He muttered and she smiled and hugged him.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to be alone.." She says and Eric scoffed.

"You think I don't know. You think I'm dumb huh? I'm your best friend for crying out loud. Stop this Lexa. Stop this. You are going to get your powers when the time is right?" He said gently cupping her face and she sniffed.

"When the time is right? Did you just say when the time is right Eric. You don't understand me at all. Why would you? You're a vampire right and you have your powers but me, I'm the daughter of the strongest vampire and the chosen werewolf but yet powerless. So do you expect me to be happy and rejoicing. Your life is virtually more better so you can't understand me!" She yelled and looked at Eric who now had a painful expression and immediately Alexa calmed down.

She knew she had hurt him with her words when she shouldn't have because he was only concerned about her.

Alexa looked down with a sullen look.

"I'm sorry Eric, I seriously didn't mean what I said,, you know,, I..." She fumbled not knowing what to say. Eric said nothing but crouched at her, his back facing her.

"Get on.." He said gently.

"I promised Aunt that I will you bring you home safe and sound, so get on.." He said again and Alexa sighed before she climbed on his back.

He was damn angry and she's sure about that. Well, Eric was the kind to remain unusually quiet when angry.

"Look Cutie, I'm sorry.." She muttered. Cutie was the name she always called him. Eric heard her but pretended like he didn't. Seeing that he was not in the mood to talk to her, Alexa sighed and rested her head on her back and immediately they both vanished out of sight and immediately the guy wearing the hood came out and smirked.

"Found them.." He muttered with the smirk playing on his lips.

Eric appeared in front of the mansion in a flash and Alexa slowly came down from his back. Eric nodded.

"Come on, go in. They are waiting for you" He says with a look that didn't portray any emotion.

Alexa bit her lower lip and she sighed.

"Cutie, I know I hurt you deeply with my words but..."

Eric grabbed her shoulders roughly and turned her around.

"You should go in..." He said and vanished out of sight immediately. Alexa stood contemplating on what to do. She was scared to face her parents most especially her dad, whom she knew that he would scold her. Sighing, she took a step forward and then gathered all courage in her and then she started to walk in.

She smiled in joy when she saw that no one was in the living room.

"Where did you think you are coming from?" A voice asked her and she needed no sooth sayers to tell her that's her Dad. She shuddered in fear because she knew this one thing, her dad rarely gets angry with her but his anger is not so good

"Dad..." She muttered and looked up.

"I'm sorry dad.. I, I just wanted to try my luck. I want to be like you guys. To me, I'm just a normal human except for my healing powers. I just feel so useless right now.." She muttered helplessly as tears began to fall from her eyes.

Dylan sighed and pulled her closer before engulfing her into a hug.

"Princess, forget it. I told it's gonna come when the time is right.." Dylan says kissing her hair and she sniffed.

"Alexa..." She heard a panicked voice call her and she immediately knew it was her mum. She pulled away from the hug.

"Mum.." She called and Elisse came into view.

"Sweetheart, you got me worried!" She exclaimed and immediately hugged her.

"Mum, I'm sorry mum. I really am.." She said almost in tears.

"Don't force it, sweetheart. I'm sure it would come at the right time.." Elice assured her and she nodded.

"I love you mum.." She whispered and Elice chuckled in tears.

"Love you too princess.." She said.

In front of a huge mansion, beautiful lights surrounding it. There were water springs at each side of it giving the definition of beautiful. Suddenly the lights suddenly turned off as if demeaning dark aura appeared followed by immediately by a thud on the ground as the air became chilly. The figure brought down the hood from his head and then walked in. As soon as he walked in, the lights started to glimmer once again.

He walked into the dark room and then snapped his fingers and the lights came on.

"The king of darkness is back!" He heard a voice say and he turned back.

"Gosh! Why don't you take your mask off. I mean let me see your handsome face once at least..." He said and groaned at the same time.

"Daniel, shut up!" Damon finally said as he made his way to the kitchen and Daniel followed him behind. He got to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator bringing out a jar of cold blood. He poured some into a glass cup and took a sip.

"Your silence is killing me, did you find out something?" Daniel asked and Damon turned to look at him.

"I found them. They were also supernatural. I knew some of them will come out during the full moon.." He said and Daniel smiled.

"Does that mean,you found your mate?" Daniel asked and Damon scoffed.

"What mate? I didn't feel anything meeting blue eyes. It was empty.." Damon says with a cranky look.

"Blue eyes, you met a girl?" He asked.

"I don't think I have a mate.." He said ignoring Daniel's question.

"You do cause if you don't, you wouldn't have woken up. The curse was only broken by the birth of your mate. Too bad the witch really laid a strong curse on you. You will feel no bound or attraction towards your mate except that you will get hurt if she's hurting.." Daniel said.

"Isn't that unfair? You would find a hard time finding your mate but you will get hurt once she's hurt!" Daniel said and Damon scoffed.

"I don't really care..." Damon shrugged.

"Did you perhaps feel hurt nowadays?" He asked.

"No.." Damon replied him.

"I think I have an idea, I wanted to tell you this since but I thought you would ignore it.." Daniel paused to see his expression which remained blank.

"Ice King.." He muttered.

"Hm, this logic, let's try it out. Your mate was born 20 years ago since you woke up immediately she was born. The simplest way to find her is through colleges." He said excitedly.

"Colleges?" Damon asked with a raised brows.

"How so?" He caressed his lower lip with his thumb.

"Yeah, most girls her age are in college. We can start from there.." Daniel smiled.

"But how?" Damon asked non challantly, as he sipped from the glass cup.

"You're look fresh and young, so you can also disguise as a college student..' Leonel said with a smirk and Damon scoffed.

"Seriously, is that the solution you could think of?" He asked as he finished sipping the last contents of the glass cup, then he dropped it on the counter making a shrill sound.

"Trust me you can try it. I already made the arrangements. You would go by the name Damon Shawn..." Daniel said deliberately teasing him.

Damon scoffed immediately.

"I'm out of this. Look for better solution" He ordered and walked away.

"Gosh, he's so cold and rude!" He said.

Morning came quickly and Alexa was already ready to go to college. She has an early class. After she freshener up, she hurriedly walked downstairs. Her mum was in the kitchen preparing a meal. Alexa smiled and walked in immediately and kissed her cheeks from behind and Elisse gasped and turned back.

"Alexa.." Her mum said surprised.

"Hmmn, I just wanted to kiss a good morning." Alexa said and Elisse smiled.

"You have acting all loving these days.." Elisse said and Alexa smiled and hugged her.

"Is there any special reason to this?" Elisse asked and Alexa chuckled again.

"I just feel like having more time with you when I still have the time.." She says with a smile and it was Elisse's time to laugh.

"Fine, get going. You don't want to be late..' Alexa smiled.

"If only I had powers, I would have teleported myself to school.." Alexa groaned.

"Bye mum.." She says as she ran out.

Daniel came out of the room with the spell book in his hands. He got to the living room and sat down. He opened the book and started to read from it. After a while he stopped and he ran his hand in his hair.

"I wish I had the sacred spell book. It would very helpful to me" He says and stood up dripping the book on the couch. Suddenly he heard footsteps coming from the stairs and he looked up. He was stunned and surprised at the same time.

"Damon.." He called and Damon appeared in front of him.

"I have no time to waste, take me to the college!" He spoke in a very harsh cold tone. Daniel who was already used to it rolled his eyes and smiled.

"I'm glad you took my offer.." Daniel said.

"But what's with the mask?" He asked and Damon sighed.

'You know I don't like people seeing my face. So if you're not okay with it. I better leave this plan" He said and Daniel immediately objected.

"No need."

Daniel sighed. Only him knows the reason why he wants to him to badly meet his mate. Though they may be no any bond or connection between them. He knows she is the only one who can protect him from his enemies.

"We really need to find your mate.." He thought as they walked out.

Alexa arrived in class a little earlier. She looked around if she could find Eric but she didn't. Perhaps, he didn't come to college today but she knew he was not the type to miss college for no valid reason or could it be that he was still angry and did not want to see her for now.

"Oh Eric If you knew how sorry I am!" She muttered under her breath. She sat down arranging her books and soon students started tripping in. She looked back again to get a glimpse of Eric but she didn't. Sighing sadly, she placed her head on the locker.

"I miss him already. I hate when he's mad at me.."

"Missing me.." She suddenly heard s familiar voice say and she looked up immediately cause she recognised the owner of the voice. Gasping and smiling at the same time, she stood up and hugged him tightly, some of the student's gazes averted to them but they didn't pay much attention to them cause they were already known as best friends.

Smiling softly, Eri hugged her back caressing her hair.

"I missed you so much Cutie and I'm sorry for what I did yesterday. I wasn't in my right frame of mind" Alexa said and pulled away from the hug and Eric smiled and they both sat down.

"It's not your fault.." He says with a bright smile and Alexa couldn't help but admire his beauty. Well, he inherited his looks from his parents. He had beautiful pair of black eyes that fitted with his round face and his stylish small pinkish lips.

"Actually, mom told me something about you!" He said earning her attention immediately. His mom, her mother's best friend was a seer, yeah a great seer.

"Aunt Romana has a message for me!" Alexa said with her hands clasped and Eric nodded caressing her hair.

"She told me to tell you to be careful and she also added that your destiny awaits you with true love and pure danger!" Eric said and she squinted her eyes in confusion.

"What? I don't understand what you just said?" She countered him.

"Me neither, I don't understand mum though she just insists that I should tell you.." Eric clarified himself and Alexa nodded still in confusion.

"My destiny awaits me with true love and pure danger!" She said and immediately she said that. Gasps and murmuring were heard. Both Alexa and Eric looked up and they saw a young handsome guy with a mask covering his face following prof Johnson. Their mathematics lecturer. Immediately Alexa saw him, she was reminded of the incident yesterday. The guy with a mask but she could only see and recognise his eyes.

"Good morning class.." Prof Johnson said and the class started to murmur however Prof Johnson continued to speak.

"We've a new student in our midst and he is Damon.. " Prof Johnson said and the murmuring stopped.

"Just Damon, what's your surname?

'You look cute, take off your nose mask.

"You're so hot and young.."

"Why are you hiding your face, cutie.."

On the other hand, Damon was already getting irritated. He was tired of these silly humans who never use their head for once. That's one of the reasons he hates them. Just then his eyes met Alexa's. Alexa looked at him trying to recall if she had seen him any where but she couldn't.

Damon walked off and went to grab a seat at the back. His eyes still feasted on Alexa and Eric. He knew that they were supernatural but didn't expect that they would be here in the sane school he was.

He tried reading her thoughts which seemed impossible. It was as if something was blocking him from getting access to her thoughts. Meanwhile all these dirty human thoughts kept ringing loudly in his ears and he groaned. He focused on the guy beside the blue eyed lady and immediately got access to his thoughts.

'I need to finish up with this class and meet up with Anika"

"I also need to see Dad"

Damon groaned and placed his head on the locker.

Nothing good was coming out of him pretending to be a school boy. He should just leave. And tommorow he's never going to come back to the awful place.

The bell rung stating that it was the end of class. Damon stood up and mind linked Daniel immediately.

"Hey, come get me or I will use my powers to vanish from the place." He thought.

"Don't dare, King of darkness..." Daniel's reply came in immediately. Suddenly the air around Damon became chilly and Damon stopped walking and looked around.

"There is a strange presence here.." He mind linked Daniel.

"What?" Daniel said.

"Are you sure?" Daniel asked.

"I'm always sure.." Damon said coldly.

"I'm coming there right away.."Daniell mind linked back almost immediately.

"Don't worry, I'm going to deal with my own way.." Damon said and cut off the mind link and then hs immediately blocked it.

He stared around again and then suddenly got a glimpse of the figure

. He then smirked and then began walking slowly. He got out of the school and then started walking more faster taking a lonely and deserted path. He stopped and then like an air, he suddenly vanished and immediately the figure that had been following came out looking around for him. Damon appeared at his back and smirked before he held her neck tightly and the man started to choke.

"Who sent you?" He asked calmly and removed his hands from his neck and then the intruder fell to the ground coughing hard as he held his neck.

"I,, I don't know what you're talking about? Please let me go!" The man begged and Damon smirked at the man and with a snap of his fingers, the man was set on fire. He groaned and started shouting.

"Stop!" A tiny voice screamed and Damon turned back to see whoever was shouting. His eyes dilated in surprise, it was the short Blue eyes. He stared at her without breaking off his stare as she walked closer to them.

"I knew it's you, you were the guy in the hoodie yesterday night." Alexa says with a cranky stare.

"What are you doing here?" Damon asked her calmly though angrily.

"Isn't it obvious, I followed you..." She said and then looked at the man on the ground.

"Why are you torturing him? Let him go!" She said and Damon scoffed.

"Hey, little lady, get out of here. What's happening here is none of your business!" He stated firmly but coldly.

Alexa faced the man and helped him get up, infuriating Damon the most. His eyes turned red instantly in anger. With just one slight push, he yanked the man away and he immediately flew off landing in a pile of dirt some metres away. He then faced Damon.

"Who the hell do you think you are to question me? How dare you dare me?" He stated coldly and Alexa immediately moved backwards in fear. Damon grabbed her neck suddenly and angrily, his eyes feasted on her.

"When I tell you to get out? You get out!" Damon said in gritted teeth and Alexa started to choke cause of his tightened grip on her neck , almost immediately Damon felt like he was the one choking. He immediately left her neck and started coughing hard and his eyes dilated in shock.

Then it dawned on him, he got hurt because she was hurt. He looked up and stared at her, her coughing had now reduced and she was patting her chest continually. He found her, he found his mate. She is his mate.

Alexa immediately wanted to run but he grabbed her by her forearm and she gasped.

"Let me go!" She cried. She was honestly so scared of him after what he tried to do to her. And he's still touching her. Damon ignited her and pulled her closer and then he hugged her and took his nostrils to her neck trying to find a scent or something he could use to recognise that she is his mate but nothing of that sort happened. As he was busy sniffing her scent, Alexa was angry and irritated pushed him off immediately.

"Let go of me you monster!" She yelled as Damon stared at her. He felt nothing, he felt empty towards his supposed mate. The witch indeed laid a strong curse on him.

Alexa stared at him with pure angst and immediately ran off. She was still running but then she stumbled and her leg hit a huge rock. Immediately that happened Axel felt a sharp pain in his legs and he groaned. Anna stood amidst the pain and her wounds immediately healed up before she ran off.

Axel couldn't help but sigh, he found his mate after many years of searching, shouldn't he be happy?

Well he was not, he found his mate yet he feels no sort of attraction or bond towards her. He felt empty, devoid of emotions towards her and without thinking any longer, he vanished out of sight.

In a dark room .

A figure was seen pacing up and down with a glass cup filled with blood in his hands. He took a sip out of it and sighed again. Suddenly somebody appeared before him.

"How did it go? Were you able to capture him?" He asked and the man shook his head and fell on his knees.

"We underestimated him Constantine, he is still as powerful as before even much more powerful.." The man said trembling and Lucian's grip on the glass cup tightened and it shattered into pieces and the blood stained the ground.

"Damon! Why are you always a threat to me? No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to get you outta my way!!" He yelled and his eyes darkened immediately.

Alexa rushed into the house immediately panting. She couldn't believe she was almost killed today but thankfully she managed to escape. Still panting, she fell on the couch and her head on her chest. Her heart was beating very fast. She sighed and then suddenly sat up.

"He was the hoodie guy from last night and he's also supernatural but who exactly is he? What kind is it?" She thought. She was really disturbed about the fact that she could have died. She walked upstairs and then opened the door to her room, she walked in and fell on the bed sighing.

Damon immediately appeared in front of his mansion breathing heavily. He was so damn angry and the lights started to flicker aggressively due to his anger. His eyes colour immediately changed to red immediately but he sighed and ran his hand into his hair calming himself down. He walked into the house and then he saw Daniel the living room going through the spell book.

Daniel stood up immediately when he saw him.

"Hey, did you know you got me worried. You cut off the mind link immediately" Daniel snapped at him.

"Not now Daniel" He said angrily, not trying to growl.

"What's the matter? You seem pissed?" Daniel asked and sighing, Damon fell on the chair.

"I found her!" He muttered without looking up.

"Who? I don't understand?" Daniel asked with a crumpled face and Damon sighed angrily and looked at him.

"Don't you get it? I found my darn mate!" He snapped and a smile appeared on Daniell's lips.

"Really? How? When?"

Damon scoffed and then stood up.

"I found her but yet I still feel so empty. No part of me is joyous or excited. I guess I'm really cursed!" Damonl replied to him ignoring his earlier questions.

Daniel smiled and faced him.

"You know that's how it's going to be. You were cursed not to share any bond with her so that's it" Daniel tried explaining but Damon was adamant.

"You know, I don't need her. I need a darn mate in my life!" He snapped and turned to leave as he clenched his fists trying to calm himself because his anger is not definitely good. He could berserk when angry and do a lot of awful things.

"You do need her! You need her to save you from yourself!" Daniel yelled and hearing that, he stopped on his tracks and then slowly turned.

"What?" He asked not getting what he said clearly.

"I said you need your mate to save you from yourself. You need her to save you from the growing darkness in your heart!" Daniel said and Damon scoffed.

"I'm the king of darkness itself so how can a mere supernatural save me from what's part of me?" He said but suddenly stopped n .

"I only need her for one thing and I now know the way to get her!" He muttered with a sly smirk.

"What?" Daniel squinted his eyes, surprised with the sudden change of mind he had.

"What way? I don't understand?" Daniel asked curiously.

Damon said nothing but immediately vanished out of sight and Daniel sighed again and fell on the chair.

"That damn guy really knows nothing huh, he's a threat to the world and nothing can stop the darkness from expanding except..." He trailed off and then shrugged before opening the spell book again trying to look for more answers.

"I need the sacred spell book to have answers to my questions" He thought
