AINSLEY'S INNER EYE

AINSLEY'S INNER EYE

Author: : it's leta29
Genre: Fantasy
It all started with Ainsley being different since the girl was two years old. Ainsley can read other people's minds, she can also see invisible beings, and she can even know what will happen to people who accidentally stare into her eyes. Everything would be fine if Ainsley didn't harbor feelings for a reclusive and untouchable man like Alfred in their first meeting when Ainsley was only 15 years old. On the day of their second meeting, after almost three years, Ainsley realized that she couldn't read Alfred's mind, almost everything about men was unknown to her. *** The story will only begin when Caldweel, a handsome, invisible man who lost his body, meets Ainsley. Caldwell, who lost his body, will uncover all the irregularities regarding Ainsley's supernatural abilities, Alferd, and his own death. So how does the story go? Can Ainsley find answers to the mysterious figure of Alfred and the origin of Caldwell?

Chapter 1 Part 1_ Alfred Birthday

Ainsley never realized that her ability was a disaster for her own mental health. The only daughter of Mr. Carel Alexander and Mrs. Cleyrin Alexander was a cheerful and innocent girl, in contrast to her mother, who was considered very strict and wise.

Cleyrin could never understand; so far, she thought all of Ainsley's strange words and actions were just made-up lies. However, everything changed when Cleyrin accidentally caught her daughter talking to herself. Who knows who, but from Cleyrin's point of view, Ainsley was talking to the spineless wind.

Speaking of Ainsley, the girl with long, waist-length hair in natural brown combined with bright black beads as round as a full moon has one unique advantage that is considered strange by some people or even everyone.

Like an unreasonable mystical event or even a gift to be grateful for? Because maybe there is no human child like her in this world except Ainsley Meylorra Emyline, who is able to read what other people are thinking.

It started with Ainsley, who dared to come to a nightclub when she was still 15 years old at the time. Out of sheer determination or just out of curiosity, suddenly a man in a junior high school uniform stole Ainsley's attention.

No. Ainsley did not fall in love at first sight. Ainsley was just confused and surprised that there were teenagers in a nightclub? Aren't nightclubs meant for adults?

Until the umpteenth second of Ainsley's daydream, their gazes accidentally met.

Strange. Ainsley was blind to that person.

Ainsley rubbed her eyes repeatedly, but the results were still the same. For a moment, Ainsley thought that her ability to read other people's minds had disappeared, but when suddenly the lecherous man roughly pulled her hand and Ainsley stared into the man's eyes, she could see what the man was thinking.

Why was it different from the boy in the school uniform? What really happened?

"Follow me!"the horny man exclaimed, a second later Ainsley finally realized, stopped thinking about the boy and focused on saving her life.

Ainsley tried to rebel, with all her might until the girl's screams were shrill throughout the room. Suddenly, the other side of her hand was pulled, and Ainsley was taken out of the nightclub by someone unknown.

"Stupid!" said the person sharply, then threw Ainsley's hand roughly, and as a result, the girl fell to the ground.

Instead of being in pain, Ainsley's eyes widened. The man in the school uniform was the one who helped her get out of the club that night.

Ainsley quickly stood up. The similarity in height between them made it easier for Ainsley to stare at the man in front of her. Ainsley cheekily cupped the man's cheek until the two returned to a closer gaze than before.

Ainsley realized that it was not because her abilities had disappeared, nor because of the dim lights, or even because the distance between them was quite far. But indeed, Ainsley could not read the man's mind. At all.

Why?

Why can't it be?

Who is this man?

Brugh...

For the second time, Ainsley fell, pushed very roughly, without warning.

"Wai----" Before Ainsley could speak, the man had left her. Since that day, Ainsley has promised herself that she would never set foot in a nightclub. Ainsley also promised herself that she would meet that man again and would become his wife in the future.

Ainsley didn't care; Ainsley liked him, who was different. A man whose mind Ainsley couldn't read. For Ainsley, maybe that man was her destiny. After two years had passed, Ainsley finally found the man she had been looking for all this time.

Love at first sight really does exist.

***

Today is Alfred's birthday.

Yes, the untouchable handsome man, the handsome man that girls dream of, and the handsome man with the second highest score after Ainsley in his school

Senior High School Grypendati Bangsa

If it weren't for the class division system that was randomized every year, Ainsley might never have realized that Alfred was the person she had been looking for all this time. The person she met at the nightclub back then

Stupidly, a year had passed, and Ainsley only realized in the first three months of her third year that she was in the same class as Alfred.

Even though during the report card distribution, every parallel champion from each class would come forward accompanied by their respective parents, Being in the same building and even coming forward for a trophy and certificate, Ainsley still didn't realize it.

XII IPA 1, which was previously noisy because of the sound of screams, is now silent and uninhabited. The birthday cake with the number 18 candle was no longer formed. Fell on the floor, shapeless

"Give me back my motorcycle key," Alfred said sharply. His deep voice filled the classroom, and the instructions full of criticism made Ainsley even more afraid, so that the girl was unable to move from where she was standing.

Trembling greatly, Ainsley took out the motorcycle key that she had taken from Alfred's bag. Ainsley had no bad intentions, really. 30 minutes before the school bell rang, Ainsley asked permission to go to the BK room to get the birthday cake that she had ordered last night to celebrate Alfred's birthday.

The motorcycle key was just a handle so that Alfred would not go home straight away like the man usually did when the bell rang. Holding Alfred back longer in case he was late arriving at school when the bell rang. That was Ainsley's goal, not as bad as the way Alfred treated her just now.

Enjoying the heat of the sun, enjoying the tiredness of running, enjoying the tiredness of queuing, and enjoying the narrowness of public transportation. Now the cake that cost nothing compared to the tiredness of Ainsley's struggle was destroyed on the floor instead of the words "thank you" that Ainsley got.

"You don't know how to say thank you? You don't know how hard I fought for this. You hated me that much until---"

"I never asked you to do all this." Alfred pulled the key from Ainsley's hand. The corner of his lips pulled before he walked away from Ainsley. Even so, Alfred also cruelly stepped on the birthday cake that Ainsley bought him.

"WHY DO YOU HATE ME? What did I do wrong to you?" Ainsley finally cried too. Her loud voice was in stark contrast to the tears that were dripping out profusely.

Before Alfred's hand reached the doorknob, Ainsley pulled the man's strong hand again, unfortunately, she was rewarded with a hard jerk like the beginning of their meeting.

"YOU ASK, HUH?" Alfred turned around. There was no pity for the results of his work on Ainsley. The girl rubbed her hands while staring sadly at Alfred's face.

"YOU'RE WEIRD! THE WEIRDEST GIRL I'VE EVER MEET. FEELING THE MOST GREAT, DISTURBING OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES WITH WHAT ABILITY? READING OTHER PEOPLE'S MINDS? TRASH!!

With that, Alfred left. After speaking loudly with high intonation, don't forget his scary facial expression.

Leaving a glimmer of pain for the umpteenth time on Ainsley. Alfred really hates Ainsley, and Ainsley really loves Alfred. That's the bitter reality.

With everything that has happened, Ainsley prays that one day she can read Alfred's mind. Alfred, whom she loves, Alfred, who hates her; and Alfred, her first love

Why does Alfred hate Ainsley so much, and what is Alfred really hiding?

After all, loving and forgetting are hard. As hard as when you try to let go, but your heart is still attached to him.

You're mean, Al. You're mean to me!"

Chapter 2 Part 2_ About Ghost

"When will the results of Ainsley's research hypothesis come out? Do you think I'm not tired of being like this? Your child is getting weirder by the day. Talking to himself, laughing to himself-even yesterday I saw him talking to a tree in front of the house. I cried so much when I saw him."

Carel looked indifferent, took off his tie, and sat cross-legged in front of the television. Carel had just come home from a business trip, but instead of getting a cup of coffee from his wife, Carel instead got unreasonable chatter about his only daughter.

"Are you listening to me? Your child seems crazy, mentally damaged. I can accept that Ainsley can see invisible creatures, but it's getting worse by the day." Cleyrin grumbled again. Pulling the TV remote from Carel's hand and throwing it away, who knows where.

"I don't know if Ainsley is just joking or if it's true. But Ainsley's brain is starting to go awry! Every day, Ainsley knows what I want to do and what I'm thinking; she even said there's a long-haired devil following me all the time." While applying powder to her face, Cleyrin continued to vent about Ainsley.

Being left alone with Ainsley really made Cleyrin uncomfortable. Every day the child had a hobby of scaring her, cursed Carel, who was home once a week because he was a workaholic.

Even Cleyrin wasn't sure if her husband knew how their only daughter had grown up until she was now 18 years old.

It was getting stranger by the day, and Cleyrin had to be more careful with her own child. Of course, Cleyrin was worried and scared. In between being a career woman, Cleyrin also felt like a single parent to Ainsley.

"I'm going to the mall with Karyne, your son will be home soon. Remind Ainsley to eat, and don't forget to take a nap. Don't think about anything weird if you don't want Ainsley to read your mind."

"Lulu honey!" Ainsley smiled thinly, carrying a large brownish-black Bulldog in her arms. It has become a habit. The bulldog named Lulu always waits for Ainsley outside the fence of her luxurious house. Like now, the dog that was a 15th birthday present for Ainsley from Carel was relaxing under Mr. Udin's mango tree---their next door neighbor.

"Lulu, don't wait for Ainsley all the time, okay? Isn't Lulu bored here?" Ainsley talked to her dog, kissing the dog because she was so adorable.

Until the sun began to sting and Ainsley looked up only to stare far into the mango tree that was starting to bear fruit, Ainsley was shocked. Her black eyes glared sharply.

"Hey, what are you doing there? Are you a new resident? Yesterday, the girl in the red dress, why is she a handsome man like you now?" With three strange questions coming out of Ainsley's mouth, the girl was ignored by the invisible creature she had just spoken to.

"Hey....." Ainsley widened her eyes, lowering Lulu from her arms. "Don't eat the leaves. You're so weird haha, come with me home, Ainsley will feed you.

The elementary school kids who happened to be passing by gaped for a moment then ran away shouting "CRAZY PERSON....." Ainsley, who was the suspect, seemed to purse her lips, even though Ainsley was quite sane! They were the only ones who couldn't see what Ainsley saw.

"Ainsley is being called crazy by those kids, you are!" Ainsley grumbled in annoyance. The girl looked up again. The astronomical creature dressed all in white was still continuing to eat the mango leaves even though it was very clear that there were mangoes there.

"Don't eat the leaves!" Ainsley said, forbidding him. "Mr. Udin is a fierce person. Later I'll say that if you eat Mr. Udin's mango leaves until half of them fall off. If you don't want to, I'll tell you, come down here." Ainsley gave a choice. Her face was very adorable.

"Hey devil!! Do you hear me?" Finally, Ainsley got angry. Picking up a pebble and throwing it right at the creature, even though it was just a small wind, it was definitely felt by the creature.

Lulu, who had been quietly observing her master, started to act up, biting Ainsley's shoelace as if to say, "Let's go home, don't steal Mr. Udin's mangoes."

"OMG, how can ghosts eat leaves?" Ainsley scratched her head. Ainsley was kind enough to offer delicious food at home, but mango leaves seemed to be her top priority.

"HANDSOME GHOST IN WHITE.... COME DOWN HERE DON'T EAT MANGO LEAVES. YOU'D BETTER EAT FRIED CHICKEN AT MY HOUSE.... FREE!!!"

After screaming as loudly as possible, Ainsley took a deep breath. People who happened to pass by just shook their heads, seeing Ainsley's strange behavior.

Like everyday food, they understood very well who Ainsley was. Turning to the invisible creature, the handsome man with a mouth full of mango leaves was speechless.

The activity of stuffing as many mango leaves as possible into his mouth and then swallowing it, stopped. Staring straight at Ainsley, then surprised again when Ainsley instead stared back at him as if the girl could see him.

Not yet convinced, the creature pointed at itself after looking here and there that there were no creatures like it up here.

"Yes, you're handsome," said Ainsley.

The sudden strong wind made the handsome creature lose his balance and lie helplessly on the ground.

"It turns out that ghosts can be awkward too," Ainsley said softly, walking closer to the creature, standing right in front of the body that still faithfully closed its eyes.

"Don't eat mango leaves. How about eating at my house?" Ainsley pointed towards her house.

"No need to look like that, don't be afraid, I can see you." The ghost should have said that to Ainsley, but instead it was the opposite.

Worse, the ghost was the one who looked scared.

"I just want to get to know you, you're handsome," Ainsley said kindly. The handsome man had started to straighten his body in front of Ainsley, although he was still afraid.

"Let me introduce myself, I'm Ainsley," Ainsley said while holding out her hand. A second later she realized and chuckled.

"You're icy, huh? Like you're standing at the North Pole," Ainsley said innocently. Standing close to the handsome ghost in white. A little strange because this figure gave off a strange aura that Ainsley had never encountered in a creature like her.

"Follow me," Ainsley finally said, ignoring her thoughts, especially since no matter how much Ainsley talked, the creature just kept quiet and didn't answer, just tilted its head, smiled and then went silent. It didn't make a sound.

Even so, the handsome creature really followed Ainsley's steps from behind.

***

"Daddy!" Ainsley ran into her father's arms. It was unusual for Carel to come home this late at night. Ainsley was really happy.

"My love, my beauty, my happiness, my sun...." Carel returned his daughter's warm hug.

Beside the intimate scene of father and daughter, there was Cleyrin who was nodding incoherently because she was not allowed to go out, even though she was ready to shop at the biggest shopping center in their city. Just because Cleyrin didn't want to make Carel's coffee and snapped a little earlier, her husband got angry.

Carel kissed Ainsley's forehead briefly, cupping his daughter's chubby cheeks as if observing every part of Ainsley's face in more detail. His only daughter, a daughter who looked 85% like her.

"What's wrong with Daddy's sun? Why are her eyes swollen like this?" Carel asked seriously. Cleyrin, who was busy with her cellphone, began to be distracted by the two of them.

"Ainsley is crying? Who made Mommy's most beautiful, cute, sweet daughter in the universe, hm? Crying to the point of being ugly like this, why, hm?"

Not answering immediately, Ainsley just nodded unclearly, then carried Lulu back. "Ainsley isn't crying, Ainsley is just sad because the birthday cake that Ainsley surprised Alfred with was thrown away."

Her mommy immediately understood, putting on a sour face hearing the sincere explanation from her innocent daughter. "Thrown away by Alfred?" she asked to make sure. Actually, Cleyrin was just making small talk because, after that, she would take steps to leave the house. The make-up she had put on would be wasted if she didn't go to the mall with her best friend.

Ainsley nodded in response. "Alfred was angry with Ainsley because Ainsley hid his motorbike key. In fact, Ainsley just didn't want Alfred to go home before the cake from Ainsley arrived. Mommy knows that Ainsley doesn't know where Alfred's house is. If Ainsley knew, Ainsley would have taken the cake to Alfred's house right away."

As Ainsley's explanation was written in great detail, Cleyrin immediately hugged Ainsley while stroking the top of her daughter's head.

The child's feelings for her first love were so heavy. If only Carel hadn't been so crazy, maybe Ainsley would have been fine. Now Carel's dominant side was decreasing towards Ainsley.

Cleyrin was helpless but to support him, because the man her daughter loved was too handsome according to Cleyrin's criteria.

"Ainsley has to be more enthusiastic. Don't give up." Cleyrin encouraged her.

On the other hand, they forgot about Carel in their conversation. Cleyrin and Ainsley looked at each other for a moment then cleared their throats to find the best way out.

"Alfred who?" Carel's deep voice questioned. "Ainsley still remember Daddy's rules? BEFORE DADDY ALLOWS IT AND BEFORE DADDY KNOWS THE MAN----AINSLEY IS NOT ALLOWED TO DATE." Carel said in a loud voice full of emphasis.

Ainsley lowered her head weakly, her mouth that blurted out had revealed many things in front of her father. "Ainsley is not dating, Ainsley is just in love." The girl dared to look up at Carel.

"Ainsley knows that Daddy loves Ainsley very much, but Daddy also has to know that those feelings cannot be disturbed. Daddy, don't worry, Daddy is still number one in Ainsley's heart"

"Ain----"

"Come on Rel, you're a young person. It's like you've never been young." Before Carel got angrier, Cleyrin had prepared many things.

"Ainsley's love is also your heritage. Ainsley loving someone who doesn't love her is also your heritage. The law of nature is not going anywhere, Rel, it's natural."

"BUT AINSLEY IS STILL SMALL, SHE CAN'T HAVE A BOYFRIEND YET!!" Carel was getting more and more insistent.

"Daddy is so possessive. Just say you're jealous if your daughter is close to other men besides you. Ainsley is already a grown-up. Don't overdo it as a parent."

"Cleyrin...."

"Rel! Come on. You've heard for yourself that Ainsley doesn't have a boyfriend. Your daughter can't possibly love you alone in her life, let alone let you know that Alfred is very handsome. I like him."

"Anyway, I don't agree. Ainsley shouldn't be close to anyone besides me."

The argument between Mommy and Daddy was a great opportunity for Ainsley. Slowly, Ainsley took steps to leave, to get away from the commotion before her Daddy held an impromptu trial.

"Ainsley?!"

Chapter 3 Part 3_Anarchist

"Oh my! You can talk. I'm so happy to hear it!"

Even though she couldn't touch him, Ainsley still moved her hands around Caldwell's face, as if she could hold his handsome face.

"The girl in the red dress doesn't understand Indonesian, so I spoke to her in English. I thought you couldn't speak English, Indonesian or other human languages. Oh! Yeah! Is there a civil language? If there is, we----"

"Sweetie... Daddy can I come in?" Carel called out outside. Inevitably, the question and answer session with the handsome man had to stop.

Blame Ainsley, who had a high-pitched voice, of course Carel, who happened to be passing by in front of his room, was a little confused.

Even though it had been going on for a long time, Carel still couldn't adapt to the changes in Ainsley that had started to appear when the beautiful girl was three years old.

"Yes Daddy," Ainsley said, not too loudly. The girl smiled brightly at her father's handsome face when the door opened.

Even though he was getting older, Carel was still too handsome for a father with an 18-year-old child. Sometimes Ainsley was afraid that Carel would cheat on her mother behind her back. But since she was able to read Carel's mind, Ainsley was very sure that her worries would not come true

Her father was madly in love with Mommy Cleyrin, very much more than herself but lost by two numbers to Ainsley. Daddy loved Ainsley much more. Mommy lost by two numbers. Instill that.

"Earlier Daddy heard you talking, Ainsley was talking to a supernatural being again----

Before Carel finished his sentence, Ainsley nodded innocently. "That's him beside Daddy. He's very handsome Dad, that's why Ainsley invited the ghost to stop by here," Ainsley explained. Smiling faintly at Caldwell, who was now lying on the floor. Truly a creature who obeys the rules of the game, hearing Ainsley's words just now, Caldwell immediately moved aside from Carel.

Taking a deep breath, Carel held the girl's shoulder. It turned out to be true that Ainsley had started to go crazy with ghosts.

"Daddy!! Ainsley is sane. Ainsley doesn't like Daddy the same as Mommy. Mommy says every day that Ainsley's brain is starting to go haywire, even though Mommy doesn't understand Ainsley's feelings."

The beautiful Ainsley grumbled over her Daddy's bad thoughts. How could Carel think that Ainsley was indeed crazy like Cleyrin?

"It's not fair, Ainsley can't read Daddy's mind without Daddy's permission," Carel warned.

"It just happened, Ainsley was helpless," Ainsley replied innocently.

Carel carried Ainsley in his arms. "I love you more," he said.

"Ainsley knows Daddy. Ainsley is fine, the ghost friends that Ainsley met are all fine, not like Daddy imagined. If Daddy could see. It's not like in Daddy's horror movies, they're like us too. The difference is they're paler. They---"

"Don't read Daddy's mind sweetie," Carel said softly, it didn't feel fair if Ainsley knew what he was thinking.

"They still have a duty on earth. When the time comes they'll also go home. They don't want to be like this either, they're forced by Daddy. They're not bad, trust Ainsley."

"It's okay if Ainsley is comfortable being friends with those who are invisible. But Ainsley has to maintain Ainsley's self-esteem too. Ainsley wants to be called crazy by people, hm?"

The girl shook her head weakly. "Ainsley is called crazy by many people, so Ainsley is immune. Sometimes being friends with ghosts is much better than with humans who are like ghosts."

Finally, Carel gave up. No matter how strong she gave her opinion, she still lost to the National Debate Champion, like Ainsley

"Mommy went shopping with her friends, Daddy also has to go to the office. Do you want Ainsley to come or stay at home?" Carel asked softly.

Suddenly, a call from the office urged Carel to leave right now. Even though he still wanted to spend time with his beloved daughter.

"Ainsley wants to do her homework, Daddy just go," said Ainsley, trying to be strong. Accustomed to being left behind, Ainsley got used to it.

"Daddy will be home soon. Don't go anywhere sweetie, stay at home." The sudden rule came out of Carel's mouth. The handsome man got up from his seat after stroking the top of Ainsley's head.

"Daddy?"

"Yes love?" Carel turned around, staring closely at Ainsley.

"Don't go past the main road, there will be a fatal accident there. A large truck lost control and hit an Avanza Xenia car along with three motorbikes. There was only one fatality and the others could be saved." Sometimes the weirdness is what makes Ainsley unique.

Different Ainsley

Weird Ainsley

And

Unique Ainsley.

***

While continuing to write, Ainsley invited Caldwell to talk. The handsome man had started to dare to let out his golden voice, and he was even more attached to Ainsley.

"Don't you know why you died? Of all the ghosts I know, most of them just have to complete a mission, then they can go home."

"I don't know, suddenly I was on the tree. The girl in the red dress said that if I was hungry, just eat a mango leaf. After that, she went who knows where."

Caldwell's explanation was enough to make Ainsley laugh out loud. "You're so innocent, huh. The girl in the red dress doesn't even want to eat mango leaves. She steals other people's food when she's hungry, she also likes to tease me, and now you're her new victim."

Instead of being offended by Ainsley's story, Caldwell smiled at himself. Looking at Ainsley with a big laugh was very enjoyable.

Without Ainsley realizing it, she was the one who was much more innocent. After laughing deeply enough, Ainsley took a sip of warm milk made by Aunt Ajeng. "Why are you smiling?"

"You're beautiful."

"You're handsome too," Ainsley said with feeling. "But unfortunately, we're from different worlds," she continued.

Caldwell's smile began to fade from hearing Ainsley's words. "Moreover, I don't like you, I like Alfred. So don't tease me with that sweet smile, I won't look away."

Now Caldwell's smile had completely faded.

"He's handsome, right?" Ainsley pointed to one of Alfred's photos that filled her cellphone gallery.

Even though there was no answer or even a nod from Caldwell, Ainsley continued. "I call him 'Al' and starting today I'll call you El."

***

Bright morning, Ainsley's beloved handsome Daddy has finished preparing his car. Today Carel will take Ainsley to school.

"Ready sweetie?" Carel blinked.

"Yes Daddy!!" Ainsley cheered.

Cleyrin chuckled softly, then her wise thoughts began to wander. "THERE'S NO SPEEDING IF YOU STILL WANT TO LIVE. HEAR, RIGHT?"

The two humans with not very different morals, instantly shuddered. Mommy was terrifying with a face like Dracula who had just screamed.

"Don't worry Mommy, Daddy is already a pro player," said Ainsley, but was rewarded with a soft slap from Cleyrin.

"Rel----"

"Yes honey.... you don't need to worry. It's like you've never driven a car before." The head of the household intervened.

The atmosphere was suddenly surrounded by hot air. Ainsley quickly pulled the lunch from Cleyrin's hand, then kissed Cleyrin's forehead softly. "See you Mom," he said, not forgetting to blink one eye.

"Mom, Mbak Kunti's long hair is sticking to Mommy. Don't worry Mom, she's fine."

"AINSLEY!!!"

"Good luck studying sweetie, Daddy will pick you up later when you get home," Carel said briefly, not long after his car left the school yard.

Now Ainsley stood alone, after her father's car had completely disappeared from her sight.

"Good morning my love." Someone greeted Ainsley from behind. Ainsley quickly turned around, finding Amyne behind her with two heart-shaped lollipops.

Ainsley smiled warmly. Amyne was the only person in the class who was truly sincere in being friends with Ainsley. The others were just friends, they were afraid of Ainsley and being friends with Ainsley was a pretense.

"Come in!" Ainsley invited. Both of them enjoyed the lollipops while occasionally laughing a little.

"I have got a new friend, My," said Ainsley.

"What's he like now? Beautiful, handsome, fat, black, white or scary----"

"Handsome!! He's very handsome," said Ainsley, without the slightest hesitation. Amyne also nodded in understanding, understanding more about Ainsley, Ainsley's character and Ainsley's habits.

"Where is he now?" asked Amyne, of course just a formality.

"Beside me," answered Ainsley.

With that, Amyne stopped walking, followed by Ainsley. Amyne waved at the unreal shadow that she said was beside Ainsley.

"Hi, nice to meet you," said Amyne, then continued walking.

"Hi too, he said," replied Ainsley with a laugh.

Arriving in class, the two of them started to sit neatly. One minute more, class would start.

After finishing taking out the first period textbook, Ainsley smiled thinly, almost imperceptibly. Finding Caldwell chatting with the figure who haunted their class. The two of them looked very close, they even sat side by side on the teacher's desk.

In the corner of the room there was a man in a black hoodie, a hoodie that never left his body. Reading carefully, copying a book, then looking for something in his bag. All of these activities did not escape Ainsley's attention.

Just a simple activity by a high school student, but that's the reason. Because Ainsley fell in love more and more. Rumor has it that the man had many black hoodies but that wasn't the main problem.

Why did it have to be a black hoodie with a different picture every day?

Why did he have to wear a hoodie with a scary picture like a skull? Even during sports time, the hoodie was still attached.

Strangely, no teacher reprimanded him. Could it be because he was an outstanding student at this school?

Ainsley also excelled, but Ainsley was once reprimanded for wearing a hoodie at the wrong time, like in class.

If only Ainsley could read his mind, if only Ainsley knew about him and if only he wanted to be friends with Ainsley.

Even when receiving his report card, he never brought a representative from his parents. He went alone, as if nothing had happened.

Even though he was the ideal, there were also those who ostracized Alfred. Considering the man strange, scary and, of course, heartless.

His nature showed who he really was. Strangely, Ainsley felt that all of that was odd.

An oddity that she could not understand.

While still in her reverie, suddenly the man stared at her.

Very sharp, as sharp as a sword. Ainsley quickly adjusted her sitting position, at least away from Alfred's deadly gaze.
