ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE FOR THE RUTHLESS ALPHA

Daisy's pov

"Congratulations, Mrs Bennet. You're pregnant! The implantation worked this time"

Dr Benjamin slid the envelope across her desk, stopping just short of my fingertips.

I stared at it and slowly opened it, I couldn't believe it. After three years of trying every method just to be able to conceive, it was finally happening.

Three years, two failed implants, Countless nights crying in bathroom stalls so Finn wouldn't see.

I can vividly recall the pain that would always fill my heart, so much so that I could barely breathe

"Mrs Beneath?" Dr. BenjaminDrrrowed her eyes as she stared at me.

"Are you alright? " he furrowed his brows at me with concern.

I looked up at Dr BenjaminDrface but it was all blurred, I didn't realize whenrealisebegan rolling down my cheek.

"Yes." My voice quivered "Yes, everything's perfect. Thank you, thank you so much doctor."

After I left the doctor's office, I drove out of the hospital, calling Finn but each attempt went straight to voicemail.

My body felt to light, like I would float out of the car, the excitement was swirling inside of me.

I pictured what Finn's face would look like when I broke the news to him. The way his eyes would light up, the way they had on our wedding day before everything suddenly changed.

This would fix everything. This baby would bring back the man I married because lately he had been so distant from me and I understand.

I turned the wheel, tyres squealing since I had just changed my mind. I couldn't wait for him to be back from work. I'd surprise him by showing up at the office, take him to that Italian place he loved, then break the news to him.

The car came to a halt in front of the Benneth group and I stepped out of the car.

The elevator to the fifteenth floor took forever. I checked my reflection in the elevator doors, mascara smudged and my eyes red but it didn't matter. He would definitely understand.

The reception desk sat empty with Laura nowhere around.

I didn't need permission to go in, so I walked toward Finn's office, my eyes still lit up and my lips curled into a permanent smile.

I reached for the door handle but immediately came to an abrupt halt at the sound from within.

"Finn, stop, we're at the office, someone might hear us"

That was Laura's voice in a Playful and Breathy tone.

My hand froze at a spot and my heart had stopped. I couldn't breathe even if I wanted to.

"I Don't care!" His voice is lower than I have heard it in months. "Can't keep my hands off you. Even when I'm with Daisy, I'm thinking about you."

The sound that followed was wet and hungry, it was a soft moan.

The envelope slipped from my other hand. It hit the floor without sound.

"If you love me so much, why haven't you divorced her yet?" Laura's voice came through again "I'm pregnant, Finn. I've given you what she couldn't for three years"

Then there was silence, followed by movement, it was the sound of Fabric rustling.

I knew I couldn't stand there, I should either confront them or walk out of there, but the excitement in my eyes was now replaced with tears.

I badly wanted to run, but my legs were stuck, my heart broken into tiny pieces I could never recover from.

"You're right, baby. And I'm grateful. But I need her shares of Bennet Corporation first. Once she signs those over......"

"She's not stupid. Daisy won't just hand over her inheritance."

A belt buckle and I could hear the continuous sound of moaning.

"God, yes....just like that." Finn's groan rattled through the door. "Don't worry about Daisy. I have a plan. Soon she'll be out of our way for good."

My feet moved backwards, then another but I didn't realise there was a vase behind me.

I felt it tip before I heard it shatter. Water soaked through my shoes as Glass scattered across the floor.

Without thinking, I turned around to run, but only made it three steps before my heel caught a shard. I went down hard, palms skidding.

"What the hell....."

The door flew open as Finn stood there, shirt half-buttoned, belt undone. His eyes found mine. Widened in shock Then something else crossed his face.

It was a cold stare.

"Daisy." He smoothed his shirt, fingers working buttons. "What are you doing here?"

I pushed myself up, and really realised I had cut one of the shard glasses as blood filled my palm.

"I came to surprise you, guess I ended up getting surprised" Each word pierced straight into my heart like a knife.

His gaze travelled my body, the torn stockings, the wet skirt, the blood. His lip curled, just slightly but I had seen it before it disappeared.

"How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough."

Laura appeared behind him, blouse gaping open, lipstick smeared. She didn't even have the decency to look ashamed.

"Daisy, listen......" Finn stepped forward.

"What you heard, it's not, it was a mistake. It won't happen again."

The laugh that escaped me didn't sound like mine since it was so cold and bitter hearing such an apology from him.

Never could I imagine that after three years, three years of giving my all to this man, I had to step away from the company and let him take over and now this was the apology I was faced with.

"I can see that" I spoke casually, wiping off any trace of tears from my eyes because I was not about to let them see my weakness.

Fin walked closer to me, this time he had put on a more emotional front.

"I know I messed up, I am sorry, it was all Laura who had seduced me"

"All of this because of my shares?" I called out his facade and his face immediately went blank before a dark smile curled through his lips.

"I am sorry you had to find out like this, but there is nothing any of us can do now"

"No! You are wrong, there is definitely something I can do about it, you will be hearing from my lawyer and as for working for the company, I think this would be your last"

I forced a cold smile on my face as I spoke with finality. I turned around to walk away from this shameless act.

"I am afraid Daisy, that won't be happening!" He spoke out and I came to a halt, turning around to face him.

"You won't be able to divorce me and neither can you take this company away from me!"

His lips curled up, I could see darkness I had never seen in him before, Finn was more dangerous than I had known for three years and right there, a cold shiver ran down my spine.

Daisy pov

I forced at a spot and as I listened to Finn, it got the better of me. There was confidence in his tone, like he knew this day would come and had already hatched a plan for it.

"What do you mean?" I forced myself to stay calm, trying to find out what he had in mind.

"I am telling you that even if you get the best lawyer. I am not granting you a divorce, especially not now that you have just a few months left to live or maybe even days"

"What is that supposed to mean?" My blood turned cold, and fear took hold of me as I tried to wonder if this was the same man I married.

"You are a smart Daisy and from the Bennet family, you should be able to put the pieces together or did you think it was because of your beauty that I had married you?"

He scoffed. Like he was staring at a beast in front of him. "I am sorry Daisy, but I thought you would notice the change in your body and everything else, why did you think that you have been finding it difficult to conceive?"

He ended all his hurtful words with a question and as I stood at a spot. I was starting to put the pieces together.

"You have been poisoning me!" This was certainly not a question, this was definitely why I had been to the hospital countless times lately, it was why my body suddenly started failing me which was why I had become so desperate to have a child.

I could hear my heart racing, the pain slicing through me, making it very difficult for me to breathe.

All these years he stood by me, took me to the hospital for all checkups, held my hand with affection and assured me that everything was going to be alright, all this while he had been orchestrating my death.

"See! I told you were smart and now you figured it out, but right now, I don't think you even have up to a month. I could just give you the last dose here and all of this will be over"

A devious smirk curled through his lips. Making me take steps backwards. Wondering how I lived with this man for three years and didn't see this side of him.

I knew I couldn't stay there any longer, Finn badly wanted my inheritance and from the look of things, he was ready to do anything to get it.

Just as I turned around, ready to dash out of there. I felt two strong hands grab me. I looked up and realised it was his guards.

I had no clue when they arrived at the hallway, but it wasn't looking good for me.

"Let me go Finn, I will sign the inheritance to you, please you don't have to soil your hands with blood. Please" I pleaded in desperation with everything in me.

"You don't have to worry about that. You would be surprised as to how many deaths" he expressed calmly and now. My gaze shifted to Laura who didn't seem bothered about this.

"Is this the kind of man you want to be with?"

"Don't worry about me, right now, you should be worried about yourself" Her gaze slowly drifted to Finn who remained calm as he walked back to his office.

His guards were still holding me. I was pinned to the ground and when he returned again, he was holding a syringe in his hand.

"What is this?" Even as I asked, I knew the answer, my heart began pounding rapidly. I had to think of a way to get out of here, else I would die and Fin would get away with everything.

"Don't worry baby. This will take you out of your misery. And for the record, I loved you, Daisy. I loved you so much and felt so sorry when you cried at night and hated yourself for not being able to bear a child, but the truth remains that you were not worthy to carry my child"

I was torn between pain, rage and confusion, should I go ahead and tell him about the baby I was carrying?

Seeing the monster before me. I prayed he wouldn't find out about the pregnancy. Scared for what he might decide to do to the fetus inside of me.

"Don't worry Daisy. It's not going to be painful, that's because I still love you and I want you to have a peaceful sleep"

He spoke and pulled the syringe close to me. I shut my eyes, wondering how I got here, how I got from trying to announce the news of my pregnancy to end up getting killed alongside my fetus.

But even at that moment it made me wonder if things would have been different if he had found out that I was pregnant, that I was carrying his child inside of me, but I shook my head, Laura was carrying his child and that was the only child he regarded as his.

My heart shattered into tiny pieces, everything I was, everything I had. My position at the company I gave everything to him and this was how I ended.

Just as he pieces the string inside my skin, ready to push the fluid inside, a loud menacing growl stops him in his tracks.

"STOP!!" The voice growled and everywhere trembled, my eyes were shut but it was clear that this wasn't a human. This was certainly a beast.

"What the fuck!" I heard Finn gasp, I opened my eyes and as Finn pulled away from me, the fear in his eyes was nothing as I had ever seen.

His eyes popped wide, sweat had covered his face and he was trembling, the two guards who were also holding me had backed down. I turned around ready to see why they were all afraid.

As my eyes locked with his, my breath stopped, before me was a white wolf, his fur was massive and his silver eyes bore into mine like it was calling out to me.

Khai's Pov

I was at a council meeting when a call came through from the hospital. Since they had yet to find a suitable surrogate for me, I grew anxious every day waiting for their call.

As soon as I saw the call come in. Without hesitation, I rose to my feet and sauntered out of there without a word to the council.

"What is Doctor Benjamin?" I growled, my voice lacking any form of patience.

"Alpha......... Alpha Khai, there has been an issue"

"Speak!" I snapped.

"I don't know how to say this, we have never made such a mistake before....."

"I don't have all the time in the world to listen to you, how about you just go ahead and say what the issue is"

"One of my intern, she made a huge mistake, the thing is, I think you need to come over, this isn't something we can discuss on the phone"

Before she was done speaking, I ended the call. It was clear this was about my sperm. I grabbed my coat and stormed out of there, my beta Shark who was at the door without a question followed behind.

The ride to the hospital didn't take long, and I was glad to see that Doctor Benjamin was not attending to a patient when I arrived.

"What happened?" I asked the moment I stormed inside her office, but her side stood a young geriatric doctor who was shivering in fright.

"My intern here made a huge mistake, she had exchanged a sperm and inserted yours into one of our patients"

"Okay.... Why is that even a problem, we have been searching for a surrogate for a long, none of them has been able to accumulate my hot sperm and convert it into a pup, so why should that be a problem now"

I sigh, feeling frustrated that I had driven all the way here for nothing. In a year, more than fifty werewolves had tried to serve as a surrogate. But none of them has been able to hold the sperm, that was how severe the curse was, making it impossible to bear an heir.

"You don't understand, Alpha. Conception has occurred, she is pregnant now and carrying your hair"

I froze at a spot. Just when I was losing hope that no female werewolf would be able to carry my heir, the moon goddess finally had mercy on me.

"Where is she?"

"The real problem is that..... she is human!" Doctor Benjamin blurted but I was unable to process her words.

With the immense curse that I carried, I knew that it was going to be sheer luck for me to get a werewolf who would be able to carry my pup and mostly from an Alpha bloodline which was why I had tried all female werewolves from the Alpha bloodline but none of them could carry the pup up to the state of conception.

Humans are known to be weak, so weak that they die during delivery and now, she was carrying my pup.

"How is that possible?"

"I have no idea, Alpha. She was here earlier and I broke the news to her, she had been so desperate to have a child. Now she must think the baby belongs to her husband and I have no clue how to break such information to her"

"You are sure it's my sperm?" I asked again and she nodded her head, no matter how much I was trying to make sense of this, it wasn't making sense.

"Alpha, I think that she might want to get rid of the child if she finds out"

"Never! I am never letting that happen, place a ball to her right now!" I ordered and the doctor wasted no time in contacting the human, but no matter how many times she called, it was out of reach.

I had waited for centuries, the pup was my only hope, I couldn't wait for a call to go through, I had to go to her myself.

Without a word to the doctor, Picked up her contact information and stormed out of there. When Shark and I arrived and she wasn't there, I wasted no time and drove straight to the office listed as part of her address.

As soon as I stepped out of the car. My wolf let out a loud growl. Fighting so hard to take charge.

"My pup, I can smell it, it's truly my pup" Excitement took hold of me as I explained to Shark.

"What are we going to do when we find her, most humans know nothing about our kind, I am sure she wouldn't want to come with us or even keep the baby"

"I don't care what she wants, if I have to chain her until she delivers my pup. Then that is what I would do"

I responded, following the strong scent that was so similar to mine, I started walking inside, my beta right behind me and even though I didn't want it to draw attention to myself, clearly everyone had their gaze fixed on me.

But as I came to a halt where the scent stopped, the scene in front of me shattered my heart.

The human girl carrying my pup was on the floor, men gagged her, about to be injected with some substance I could already perceive as poison.

A man and a woman stood by the side, their hands clung together with a silly smirk that spread across their lips, it was clear that they were enjoying seeing her suffer.

"Ahhh!!!!!!" My wolf growled as the entire building trembled. As his rage skyrocketed, he didn't need to take permission and right there took his full form.

I couldn't tell why it had so much effect on my wolf seeing her in such a state, but it was clear that he could feel the bond with our Pup, a fetus we had waited for decades for.

Shark stood behind me and as they all noticed my presence, they drew backwards, none of them dared to stand as my aura consumed the entire place.

Even the shark that had stood by my side for decades couldn't stand my aura, he lowered his head, and the humans all trembled in immense fear.

But this girl, she didn't seem affected by any of it. She rose to her feet, looked me straight in the eyes, and held my gaze with an amusing expression, no one ever did, no one could look at my wolf in this state of aura, but she did and right there I was convinced that

She was special! There was something about her that I had yet to grasp.
