ACCIDENTAL PROPOSAL

Aurora's lids opened and she stared at the white ceiling her.

The voice of a news broadcaster from the TV echoed in her ears, doubling the throbbing aching pain in her head.

"The Kim family! Even the rich and famous are awed by the wealth that surrounds them.A family of idols and beauties. Of Course the saying the beautiful ones are not yet born doesn't apply to the Kims because these besties are from the future and talking about wealth, you got that right, your own and favorite is once again at the top of the youngest billionaires chart, handsome Kim Aguero..a spectacular.. young..

Then she saw a blurred image of her mother walking over to the center table and shutting down the old '60's tv set that was situated on the old wooden center table and walking back towards her,she rubbed her tired eyes yawning.

Her mother touched her comfortably on the shoulder.

"Are you okay honey? You must have been stressed out from yesterday's work".

She said putting down the cup of coffee on a table nearest to the old mattress where Aurora was lying.

Hands on her waist,she looked around the room not satisfied with its untidy condition,her eyes wandered back to Aurora.

Yawning, Aurora sat up on the bed lazily and stretched her body with a soft groan.

"I am a fine mother, thanks for the coffee,"she said with a soft smile.

Just then her twin nieces raced into the room.

"Aunty Aurora look, we found this old picture of you in Grandma's old box"they chorused, showing her the old picture.

The picture was a photograph of her as a high school student.

Her sharp light brown eyes shining through her glasses,long dark brown hair, nicely shaped brows,a well tanned body and a face covered with freckles just below her eyebags and across her nose bridge.

Without much glance at the picture,she shifted her eyes to her overexcited twin nieces and smiled softly at them.

At twenty four,she had no illusions about her appearance, herself,or other members of the human race, including men.

Especially men.

She had decided what she wanted at 11 ,to take the responsibility of her family and make her mom happy and proud. Now she had made it halfway to her dream of being a five star restaurateur.

"Thank you guys".

The twins giggled softly. Mina and Lina were not so different and shared the same brain cells;it's hard to tell them apart even by their birth mom Posha, Aurora's immediate younger sister.

"She looks just like me!"Mina commented.

"That's not true ,she looks just like me!"Lina protested.

Aurora chuckled at their little argument.

"I look just like you two"She said and pecked their foreheads.

"Weeeee!"

The twins shouted in excitement and ran out of the house.

"Be Careful!"Mother cautioned them.

"Where is Posha?"Aurora asked her mom as she stood up on her feet and walked into their tight space bathroom to brush.

It was a one room apartment with only a curtain separating the kitchen from the living room which also serves as their bedroom for the whole family.

"She is yet to come back home".

Her mother replied sadly,and went on arranging the mattresses and clothes scattered around the corners of the room.

"She really needs to be an advised mother,she can't just continue messing around, get pregnant and dump the babies for you and then get back to sleeping around. What kind of a role model is she going to be to her twin girls?"

Mother sighed deeply with a pale look on her face.

"Posha doesn't listen to me anymore,ever since she started hanging out with that stranger guy and then she gave birth to the twins, she's just out of control".

Aurora ran the tap and rinsed her toothbrush,after she walked out of the bathroom.

"It'll be alright mother, please don't think hard of Posha,I'll talk to her myself" she sighed, "again."

Mother smiled at her.

"Thanks alot dear".

Aurora helped her with the room arrangements then she walked towards the kitchen to make toast for breakfast,soon the twins and her youngest sibling Bryann would come in to cry hunger.

"Aurora dear...

Her mother's voice came

"Yes mother".

Aurora paused, patiently waiting to hear her out.

"I hope you won't get mad..but..your brother Bryan..he came home yesterday requesting for his Tuition fees also the twins...".

"Don't worry about that mother we will be paid tomorrow,I will settle all of that as soon as I get paid"She assured her.

"What would I have done without you,I am so proud,if only I begot another you instead of Posha".

She lamented.

"Mother I got this, don't worry about Posha please".

Just then Bryan drew the curtain, gasping out breathlessly.

The seventeen year old who seemed bigger than his age and taller than his two elder sisters, walked into the room with his shirt soaked with sweat and his head bruised,Aurora was fast to notice.

"Good Morning mother,...sister".

"What happened to you?"Aurora demanded,drawing closer to him for a good look.

She tried to touch it but he jerked his head away from her.

"Ouch.. sister!"

He groaned,his voice a mixture of pain and fury.

"Got into a fight again?"

Mother asked angrily,her hands folded and head tilted.

"Yes".

"You got into a fight!"Aurora snapped with a flick of finger on his forehead to discipline him.

"Ouch!..I had to, okay!"

His outburst magically caught their full attention, Bryan continued now softly.

"He insulted my family,he called us family of bastard and sluts that he fucked Posha the other day,I told him not to repeat it but the fool did say it again and I had to defend my family by teaching him a lesson"he said.

"Oh really so how come you are beaten up this much" Aurora said trying to hide the emotions stirring up inside of her after hearing his story.

"Well he is a rich kid and got a lot of friends so they all gang up and hit me"he replied shamefully.

"Oh my God!'

Mother sighed.

"Who is he?''Aurora enquired and put a consultative hand over her mother's shoulder to calm her.

"Nathan Dawn from the next neighborhood,"he replied.

Their mother took the electric kettle from the wooden cupboard and plugged to a nearby socket before thumbing the switch.

"Maybe next time ignoring them will be better"Mother said as she returned to examine his bruised face after she went back to the whistling electric kettle.

"Never! He has no manners so I will teach him how to get one"Bryan stated with finality.

"Well, he is definitely not the one with a bruised face and swollen eyes"Aurora pointed out.

"Well that's because they are four against one,"Bryan said in defense.

"You have to be careful Bryan ,who knows what those boys are capable of,they might be armed secretly"Aurora said with concern.

"Here".

Mother handed him a hot towel and some pain relief tablets,Aurora brought a glass of water for him.

"Thanks"he muttered and swallowed the pills.

"I will get ready for work now,please I want you to take good care of my mother and the twins while I am away. Also please don't listen to Posha".Aurora pleaded, "and most importantly no fighting."

Bryan nodded and excused himself with the towel placed on his temple.

Shortly, his voice was heard outside answering every question from his curious nieces acting as interviewers.

Aurora undressed to take her bath while her mother took the laundry basket to their old washing machine.

Shelley stared across the restaurant table at Kim Aguero.

Kim Aguero was a mixture feminine and Masculine,he was considerably much taller than her seven feet height,Jade green eyes, neatly sculpted lips and high- ridged nose and perfectly outlined jaw,his features would be compared to that of a fallen angel.

Though casual his clothes were excellent and sense of fashion top-notch,the white slik hugged on his hard chest and the unbuttoned front revealing a thirsty grip of his hard abs with a locker necklace hanging in between.

He is the sexiest man for most women. They rest consider him too beautiful to be straight.

"Okay let's get this straight pretty boy,You want me to pretend that I am your fiancee for how long?"

"You sound either too cool,I expect you to say yes without further explanation"Aguero replied roughly but yet his voice was as deep as the ocean and had this sensual triggering to it that sent something shivering over Shelley's nerves.

She licked her lower lip.

"Well don't get too full of yourself,I can still say no if I want to".

Shelley smiled back and shook her head with a cigar clamped in-between her teeth.

Aguero clicked his fingers and the serious looking man on black suit standing beside him gave her an envelope.

"It's interestingly fat."she chuckled with excitement.

"100,000 us dollars will do that to any envelope" he smiled.

Shelley peeped into the envelope in doubt but the sight of the thousand dollar bills cleared every air of doubt,she looked up with a long grin on her face.

Exhaling a cloud of smoke from her mouth ,she chuckled softly.

"I didn't expect less from Kim Aguero himself."

"Good for you then ,so all you have to do is come into the room next morning and get into your character".

"Why not take me with you tonight Kim or am I not good enough for you."

He stopped and his eyes moved around her body lustly as if they were stripping her,in quest to win him over with her sexiness, Shelley massaged her massive boobs licking her lower lip.

A night with Kim Aguero is something she can't possibly choose to let go,no sane woman could!

"That's not the issue,I would rather if you say...you want to show an appreciation for the contract that I gave you"he smiled.

Aurora took a deep breath and moved the desert thriller towards the gold tiled corridor heading to the hotel room to perform the room services.

She was grateful about the payment she just received and anticipating how happy the family would be to start schooling again.

Getting to the particular room door,she thumbed the doorbell with a broad grin on her red face.

"Shelley?..you dirty slut you got me worried"a masculine voice sounded deeply.

The door opened and a half naked man was in front of her.

It was Kim Aguero himself! She screamed in her head as her eyes widened in surprise.

Though not a fan,his presence holds such powerful masculine allure and knowing that he is on a very important quest to the hotel made her incredibly nervous.

"Oh I am sorry,your order sir."

She bowed avoiding looking up at him, without thinking twice,she carried the tray of food into the room.

Her legs trembling,she tried to maintain her normal walking steps.

"Wait,where is the bitch I brought here last night,did you see any lady on your way in?"he asked huskily.

"No sir I am sorry I didn't see anyone on my way".

He walked restlessly around the room, mumbling curses to himself.

Aurora wondered what must have happened between the two and why was he so stressed about this particular lady,did she steal something from him?

She arranged the plates in place and took a bottle of wine from the table to serve.

Aguero turned to her,his eyes running from her heels up her fine carved legs to her mini skirt exposing a pair of her milky thick thighs .

Aurora noticed and uncomfortable pulled her skirt down to her knees.

"Your food is plated and served as you ordered sir."

She bowed and turned to leave.

"Wait..You are a girl though not fair enough but still a lady..."

"Huh?"

Aurora scuffed rather confused.

Carelessly he continued, "Well since that fool is out to ruin my day , I can't believe she drugged me and ran off now I have to get a replacement"he said in almost a whisper, calculating in his mind.

"Emmm sir I have to go".

Aurora said as she took a few steps backwards, unexpectedly he went on one knee.

"Will you marry me!....He paused and stared at her from head to toe as if he calculated her Beauty, " average girl?"

"Wait...what?"

She must've heard him wrong, tried reasoning with herself but her mind was out of tips too.

Is he practicing for his new role? Everybody knows Kim Aguero is a good actor, topping the Hollywood A list actors or has he suddenly gone crazy but that's not possible, he looked quite alright to her.

Aurora tried to push those questions storming her mind down her guts and get out of the awkward situation as soon as possible.

"I am sorry I ..."

Just then an aged woman probably in her 70s was carried into the room on a wheelchair by a lady in a maid's uniform.

The maid's hair was tied up in a royal bun and she wore a mini gown with a white leggings and a napkin design on her slender waist.

Judging by her appearance and clothing material shows just how wealthy her mistress is.

She was followed by two huge men in suits and serious looking shades and earphones hooked to their left ears.

Aurora's curious eyes wandered from the young lady to the two fierce looking men behind her then down to the old lady on the wheelchair, leaving her even more confused.

The gold necklace on her neck and Bangles and her outfit was proof enough that the old woman is not just a rich woman but must be from a long line of wealthy families,still she had this friendly smiling eyes and humble expression when their eyes met. Her red hair was still fresh as a baby's and her green eyes were the most beautiful.

Aurora guessed she must have been the most beautiful lady in her generation., absent-mindedly she bowed and greeted her.

"My dearest,you look lovely and Aguero I am happy that you made a great choice,if it's not her I was planning on disapproving any of those sluts you always bring home,I thought you must have arranged a lady to act but now I am very happy to see her".

Aguero stood on his feet and went to kiss her cheeks.

"Grandma please don't embarrass me".

Could it be, Former Miss World,six times beauty queen and the very own Mother of Kim Ricardo and grandma of Kim Aguero!

Aurora was too stunned to shout but inside he was screaming her head off.

"Have you given him your answer dear?"

Her gentle words cut in between Aurora's thoughts.

"Ma.. there's a misunder..

"I know dearest,my grandson well is someone I would say is very unserious with his love life,I will also react the same way if I were in your shoes and possibly won't give him a yes!"

"Mama!"Aguero snapped with an eyebrow raised.

His grandma coughed out laughter.

"He is a hard one but look he is my grandson and believe me,he is a lovely youngman and I can't express how happy I am that he has chosen someone like you out of all the women he has been with and without ego he had to propose to you in your workplace".

"Ma'am there is a mistake... some...."

"Grandma please excuse us for a sec,I need to talk to her".

She nodded slowly.

Before Aurora could say anything,his firm hand grabbed her wrist and dragged her forcefully to the extreme of the room,feets aparts from his grandma.

"A fortune payment,just for a year, believe me I hate this a thousand times as much as you do, I do chase everything on skirt but low class like you are like plagues to me,accept the proposal and I will change your wretched life with a reward".

He whispered.

Aurora was stunned by his level of cruelty; moreover his black eyes had this certain glint of rage in them that scared Aurora, but as much as they scared her, she was unable to escape from their glance. It took her minutes to get over the fear spiraling down her spines.

"With all due respect sir,my answer is no".

Aguero's lips slightly drew into a mocking smirk with his thick brows raised covering his surprise and disappointment to her answer.

"You poor things don't really have a choice, this is a chance of a lifetime ..."

"I don't want your stinking money!"

"Stop being such a slut,your kinds are good pretenders but deep down you never imagined that a man like me could have proposed to you even a fake one."

"You're right ofcourse, because I never wanted a man like you".

"Of Course honey,you know it's impossible, good thing you're aware of your worth, now quit arguing with me no one turns down my request ever, not even your boss could try that,you better don't embarrass me infront of my grandma or else..."

The last statement scared Aurora ,what if he gets her boss to replace her but it's better being unemployed than getting into a mess with this spoiled brat.

"Do as you please."

Aurora snapped with wet glistening eyes and turned to leave the room aware of the risk she must have taken by turning down his offer.

"I have only months left..."

The sad tone in the old woman's voice froze her,she paused at a pace in front of the door.

"My only wish is to see him happy before I go. It's not easy. I understand how rude and disrespectful he might be.I believe you can change that. Please, my dearest, fulfill this poor old woman's death wish".

"What have I gotten myself into"Aurora muttered to herself.

As soon as she stepped out of the room,she took a deep breath leaning on the door.

"I can't believe I said yes''she muttered to herself disappointedly.

She was so nervous that she waited for Kim Aguero and his grandma to leave the room first before she sneaked out to avoid anyone being suspicious.

Opening her eyes, she saw a cluster of reporters and photographers in front of her and the flashlights half blinded her as they began to pop.

"What are you going to wear for the wedding, Aurora?"

"What is the worth of the original diamond ring?"

"How did you manage to hook him?"

"Can you be able to tame this monster Playboy even after marriage?"

"Is it true that Kim Aguero is very good in bed?"

"We all envy you Aurora,what do you want to say to your fans?"

"How do you feel being the soon to be bride to Kim?"

The questions were thrown thick and fast before she could even utter a word.

Just then she heard Aguero's deep voice.

"There you are sweetie!"

He pushed through the throng. The crowd grew larger as many fans recognized him and came through to look at Kim's perfect woman.

He caught her waist and leaned over to whisper to her.

"Just keep smiling,let me do the talking"he murmured through clenched teeth.

Aurora flashed her teeth awkwardly at the camera men.

Finally Aurora was free from the cameras and flashes,worse her colleagues now sees her as some kind of goddess,they all look like they're terrified by her,even her employee was staring at her like she is some kind of guest in the hotel.

There's only one person who won't act like that even if she was elected the president of America,her best friend and colleague Susan.

They only met on her first day in the hotel,but they were so close that Susan didn't mind her rich background and would always sleep over at Aurora's place.

"What's up with that face?"

Susan said as her fingers kept working their magic on the keyboard, she is one of those people that can type a hundred times without looking at the keyboard as if the alphabetical order has been installed into her brain.

This is one of the times Aurora concluded that Susan's a superhuman, this ability still remains a mystery to Aurora.

Aurora sighed deeply.

"I can't believe this is all real."

"Well I hope you understand what you are about to go into?"

"Of Course I don't Susan,I am confused and helpless, it wasn't really hard to say no to him but his grandma....I can't say no to her..and that fool made her think I was his actual girlfriend, imagine using me to lie to his grandma,what if she finds out one day,it will kill her!"

"Well she won't find out if you don't say a word about it."

She stopped typing and looked up at Aurora now with a serious impression on her face.

"Look honey,the Kim family is a large and famous, every lady's dream is to get married to a son in this family, they're real life Barbie dolls, spoilt and very famous but you see Aguero,he is not just an idol or the prince charming and fallen angel as they nicknamed him,he is a tough one very tough one,you are not cut out for this honey,trust me he may be charming but he is a devil, a fucking devil,you are too fragile for him".

"What will I do then,I don't know what else to do".

Aurora's face lightened up until she ended it with, "don't even think about it cus it's not possible Aurora."

Then her attention was drawn to the big screen at the reception hall.

"Wow look at the screen, girl you are trending".

Slowly Aurora turned to the big screen TV and found herself on the TV.

"What?"

Quickly she hid her face with her palm as people inside the reception started mumbling and stealing glances at her.

The news station's live conversation between two male and female reporters stole her attention.

"Let me get this straight,this is the lady that was able to get him to propose to her?"

"She looks average to me".

"Way below average but don't judge her like that,Aguero can never go for a boring decent woman,there maybe more in her than her innocent looks who knows".

"She is my type,I will say,Mr Kim isn't really a dummy,a hard-working, respectful and decent woman,she is the real deal."

"She is ugly and the Kim family don't marry ugly".

"I sensed jealousy Rosie."

"Her man has been taken,I agree with Joe,she is beautiful, maybe getting the life of the Kim's ,I am sure she will beat the Kim sisters in good looks".

Susan nudged Aurora, diverting her attention.

"Stop being so awkward,they envy you stand up proud"

"There's nothing to be proud about deceiving a poor old lady and look how they judged me like I was a piece of goods in the market."

Aurora said irritably.

"You are living a life ,every girl in the world could only dream of,I know this was an accidental proposal or whatever but you should get ready,you can't run from Kim Aguero,he is a very mysterious man in many ways,so all you do is play along and try giving him your conditions ,it's just for a year not forever"Susan whispered to her, Aurora's face squeezed into a frown.

That evening on her way home,she removed the ring and put it inside her bag but when she got home.

Everyone stayed inside the house, which was unusual,even the twins were not playing around.

"Mom! What is going on?"

"Shh!"

Her mother's voice sounded from the inside. As she draws the curtain, they're all seated on the floor glued to the TV.

"It's sister Aurora!"

The twins shouted in excitement,they ran and hugged her knee.

"I am so happy for you big sis,Kim Aguero this is unbelie...is this really for real?"

Her brother Ryan asked in doubt.

"I..I"

"This is huge, finally God answered my prayer though it's kinda a surprise that you had a boyfriend all these while..is he the real Kim Aguero?"

Her mother cuts in.

"Mother please can I talk to you alone?"Aurora said and turned off the TV.

Bryan carried the twins outside the house to play.

"When will he be visiting? I am so happy, so happy honey,this is what I wanted for you,I don't care if you hid your relationship from me or not..,she paused and whispered, "Have you guys made out yet?"

"Mom! I am still (lowers her head on shyness)..you know pure".

"Oh dear,it must be tough to resist such a hottie,I want grandkids by the way"her mother said and winked.

Excitedly she walked to the kitchen and Drew the curtain closed.

"You already have twins,Mom!"

"From you silly."

Mother returned with a plate of sandwiches for her and a cup of coffee.

"Thanks Mom"

Just then Posha ran into the house.

"Where are you coming from Posha?".

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Tell me I am dreaming! You are getting married to Kim Aguero!"she snapped.

She brought out her phone and showed Aurora the live stream on a certain blog.

Aurora felt a surge of embarrassment reddening her cheeks.

"I..I..

"Yes she is and that is what she gets for being a decent and hardworking young lady, go put on something you are naked."

The mother replied instead. Posha rolled her eyes intensively.

"I am wearing a dress".

"Yeah definitely,get to your room and pull that rag off or I will."

"You can't order me around I am twenty-one!"

Aurora stood up and put the plate of sandwiches on the table.

"Mom..I got this", she turned to Posha."Let's talk outside right now."

Posha hesitated but followed her.

Just then a convoy of Ferrari 250 GTO drove towards them.

"Holy shit! these babies are real,so sick!"

Bryan exclaimed.

He was quick to recognize the car and its worth.
