Jak stood out from the crowd with his slender figure and plain, average features. Despite being the youngest in his family with three elder sisters and two older brothers, he was held to the same standards as his siblings and never received special treatment. His school days were comprised of mediocrity, as no matter how hard he studied, he always placed third in the yearly exam. But, little did Jak know that his life was about to change in a way he could not have imagined.
After living a monotonous life in his small village, he developed a strong longing for adventure and the thrills that came with it. Being unable to join his peers and complete his college preparation due to health issues, he had grown increasingly isolated and had retreated into his own world, watching animes and reading light novels to escape reality. After some time, he developed a severe case of anxiety and was unable to face or even leave the house.
Having had enough of the restrictive and lonely environment, he decided to go home and recuperate. He took some time to relax and enjoy the fresh air of the countryside, and gradually his health began to improve. But his longing for adventure and excitement had only grown during his period of seclusion and he was determined to start living a life of thrill and excitement once again.
He had been looking for something to break the monotony of his daily life for some time now. After reading countless light novels, he finally settled on the idea of travelling, hoping that it would bring him some unexpected encounters.
He was interested in martial arts, but his body was not in the best of condition, so he was hesitant to push himself. But he eventually decided to give it a try, and after a few months of practice, he had learned enough to be able to protect himself and escape any unfavourable situation.
He was excited as he packed his bags and prepared for his journey; the thrill of the unknown was exhilarating. He was confident that this would be a journey of self-discovery, and that he would learn new skills and gain a new perspective on the world.
Little did he know that this journey would introduce him to a wide range of new people and experiences, and that the skills he had acquired in martial arts would be put to the test. But he was ready for the challenge, and he faced it with a newfound courage and confidence that he had never experienced before.
/////// JAK POV
I have always felt something deep in my heart when I see someone smile innocently and genuinely. Whenever I can, I lend a helping hand in whatever way I can, hoping to see more of those smiles.
I wanted to leave this world before I could become too old and become a burden to my family. I wasn't able to provide them the happiness they deserved, only disappointment. That's why I thought, why not make one of my dreams come true and build an orphanage where I can take in abandoned children, raise them to become strong and capable adults, and then set them free to lead their lives however they want.
I had to face the hard truth - if I wanted to get my family out of this financial hole, I was going to have to take a risk. I was never the strongest or bravest of people, but I had no other choice.
It was with a heavy heart that I set off for the border, looking for mercenary work. I knew it was a dangerous life, but if I could make enough money to provide for my family, then I had to try.
Fortunately, I never had to put my life in danger. I was mostly a messenger, delivering messages and packages between employers. I made enough money to keep the orphanage up and running for years, and to hire a nanny to look after them in my absence.
It wasn't an ideal life, but it was enough. I took every job I could to make sure my family was taken care of, and I was content with the knowledge that I had done all I could to ensure their safety.
I had decided to focus on developing a comprehensive plan for the orphanage, from education to health issues and beyond. I thought that teaching the children the basics of martial arts would prove beneficial for them in the long run, as it would give them the skills needed to protect themselves once they graduated and started living on their own.
As I contemplated the mission ahead, I thought of all the amazing women I had worked with on my previous missions. Maybe one of them would be willing to help out with the children, I thought to myself. After inquiring around, I finally found someone who was willing and eager to take on the responsibility. Now that everything was taken care of, I was ready to take leave of this world in a blaze of glory.
I was about to embark on a very dangerous mission, a mission that could quite possibly be my last. As a precaution, I asked my employer for my payment in advance, enough for fifty people to sustain themselves for fifteen years.
Then I took two-thirds of what I had been given and sent it off to an orphanage with a letter, telling the younger ones to become strong and to help out my family in their last days so that when they leave this world, they have fewer regrets. With the remaining third, I sent it off to my family with a letter of my own.
This mission was risky, and I knew it. I had to steal some important information from the enemy base and deliver it to my employer. I had to be careful, and I had to be prepared. But I was ready to take on the challenge, and whatever the outcome, I had my family and the orphanage taken care of.
I was determined to complete the mission. I had to act as a beggar or a wartime victim, thin and feeble, to infiltrate the enemy base and retrieve the necessary information. Everything was going according to plan until I got betrayed and my information was sold to the enemy. Now I had to complete my mission, no matter what the cost, to reach the border with the information. I knew there was no turning back and I was on my own.
My heart was beating fast as I approached the enemy base. I had to remain calm and focused on the mission. I searched the base, looking for the information I needed, and soon enough I found it. With quick and agile movements, I got the information and started to make my way out of the base.
My blood was boiling as I reached the exit, knowing that someone had betrayed me. I had to stay focused, I had to make it out of there with the information without being discovered. I ran and ran, until I was far away from the base, and soon enough I reached the border with the information I was looking for. I was relieved, I had made it out alive and with the information.
My heart was pounding as I made my way closer to the enemy base, my mission to cross the border and make it back to my own side. The base was 20 km away from the border, situated in a small forest area. I had a plan in my mind for the route I would take, but the further I advanced, the more I realized how difficult it would be.
My feet were heavy as I approached the river, the last barrier before I reached the border. The flowing stream of the river directly met the border, and I could see people waiting to take me across. I had to make it there as fast as I could, but I also needed to find a way to distract the enemy so I could pass unnoticed.
I took a deep breath, my mind racing with ideas. I knew time was running out and I had to make a decision fast. With one last look around, I quickened my pace, determined to make it to the other side.

I felt my heart pounding as I stepped onto the path that followed the river's course. I'd heard stories of the dangers that lurked in these depths, and I was taking a huge risk even setting foot on the path. I cursed my lack of swimming prowess – if only I'd taken my lessons more seriously, I'd have more confidence in the river's depths. As I trudged along, I hoped that the men who had promised to come to my aid were well equipped – I knew I'd be in big trouble if they were not.
"Ring........!"
My heart raced as the communication comma suddenly rang. I thought, not now, please not now. I could feel the trepidation rising in my chest as I cautiously answered the call.
"Yes, J10 here," I spoke softly, a sense of dread washing over me.
"Huff..huff.. its bad, enemy...huff...got our position and they have snipers with them, run... get to meeting point ..huff..huff."
My stomach dropped, a pit of fear welling up inside me. I knew it was true - I had felt it before - but now it was confirmed. Something bad was going to happen and I was the one responsible. Suddenly, a loud bang and the sound of gunfire echoed in my ear.
"C3 ...C3 ....C3" ... followed by a click.
The line had gone dead. Dread filled my body as I realized I had screwed up. Big time.
I can feel the sweat dripping down my face as I crouch on the ground, bullets whizzing past me in a flurry of sound and fury. Adrenaline surges through me as I hear the heavy thud of rifles and the distant screams of men in battle. Taking a deep breath, I squeeze my eyes shut and reach for the detonator in my pocket, my fingers trembling with fear.
"Go to hell, you fuckers," I whisper as I press down on the trigger. There's a loud bang, followed by an earth-shattering explosion that sends me flying through the air. I'm surrounded by a wall of heat and dust, and for a few seconds my world is engulfed in chaos.
When the smoke clears, I open my eyes to find myself lying in a pile of rubble, surrounded by the remains of what used to be my enemies. I can feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the cool breeze blowing against my skin, and I'm overcome with relief.
I've escaped death this time, but I know that I'll soon be back in the same situation, surrounded by the same dangers. This moment of relief is only temporary, and I must remain vigilant if I want to survive.
My heart was pounding as I raced across the riverbank, desperately searching for a way to escape. I could hear the enemy hot on my heels and I knew I didn't have much time. Taking a deep breath, I leapt into the river, feeling the force of the water crashing around me as I sunk down to the bottom.
The water was cold and dark, and I could feel the life draining out of me as I fought to keep my head above the surface. I knew I had to find something to hold onto or I'd be carried away and never be found. So I frantically searched the riverbed, my hands grasping at anything they could find. Suddenly, I felt something solid, and I latched on to it with all my strength.
I had tied myself to a large rock that was heavy enough to keep me from floating downstream but light enough to be carried with the flow. I knew it was a longshot, but I had sent out a distress signal before I jumped in, so I clung to the hope that my location would be discovered before the enemy found me. As I drifted off into unconsciousness, my final thoughts were of regret, but also of peace, knowing that soon I would find solace in death.
.......
Unknown amount of time later,
I felt disoriented, and almost dreamlike, as I drifted in the inky blackness. I had been certain I had died, yet here I was, still breathing. My head throbbed painfully, reminding me how real this was.
I felt completely powerless; unable to move, see, or even feel my own body. In the depths of my confusion, I wondered how I could even be feeling a headache. I had, after all, just drowned myself to death, an embarrassing demise that I'd soon have to confront.
I don't know where I am, but I'm pretty sure I'm not in Kansas anymore! This place is making me go a bit bonkers, talking to myself like I'm some sort of crazy person. But I think I'm just tired, so I'm going to do what any sane person would do in a situation like this - sleep! As I drift off, my last thought is 'Where am I, and what kind of exciting adventures await me when I wake up? Zzzz...zzzz...zzz...'

/////// Unknown Entity POV
She was an ancient being, born in an age long forgotten by most. In the silence of the void, she had witnessed the birth of countless universes and the emergence of life within them. For millions of years, she had watched in awe, learning all she could from these curious forms of existence. The entity had attained a great deal of knowledge and wisdom, but with it came a certain boredom. She had seen it all before, and the same cycle of birth and death, of moments of joy and pain, had become ingrained in her mind. It was then that she decided to break away from the path of the dignified sage and become something less dignified: an otaku.
She found solace in the culture of a certain world, and filled her days with entertainment and frivolity. But soon, even this was not enough and the entity grew bored. And so, in a moment of impulse, she spun a huge wheel of fortune, plucked from the cultures of the multiverses. At first, she was excited by the prospect of entertaining an unfortunate soul, and when the wheel stopped, she eagerly awaited to see who would be chosen. Little did she know that this simple act would be the start of a great journey, one that would forever shape her life.
The ancient being was delighted when the wheel stopped on her. She had never been so entertained in all of her long existence. She began to visit the person's universe regularly, watching as they struggled to make a life for themselves in a hostile world. The being found great joy in watching the person fall in love, get married, and have children. When the universe ended and the person died, she was saddened but not surprised. The being had learned that life is full of pain and sorrow, but also beauty and hope. And so she continued to visit other universes, finding new ways to give happiness and laughter to those who needed it most.
She had been wandering through the infinite void when she stumbled upon a soul that seemed on the brink of oblivion. She became intrigued by this mysterious creature, and, in a sudden whim, decided to save it and take it to the realm she had created in one of her other whims. As the soul descended into her realm, she watched entranced as a myriad of vibrant colors, sounds, and sensations enveloped it. Every detail of the realm seemed to be crafted with exquisite care, as if it had been sculpted with the finest brush strokes. She could feel the soul invigorated, its essence growing in strength and intensity until it seemed to be a part of the realm itself, an integral part of its beauty and allure.
Although she had saved the soul, she knew that it would never be the same again. It had been exposed to something greater than it could ever imagine, and now it was forever changed. She smiled as she watched the soul disappear into the realm, knowing that it would never be alone again.

////// JAK POV
I stirred from my deep slumber, groggily trying to place myself in my surroundings. Strange noises had interrupted my peaceful sleep, and now I found myself in a dark and unfamiliar place.
"Where am I?" I mumbled, my voice echoing through the empty space. "It doesn't look like hell or heaven. And why can't I see myself?"
As I tried to clear my thoughts, a pounding headache reminded me of how I had died – drowning in the river. Panic threatened to engulf me, but I pushed it aside, determined to find a way out of this eerie silence.
"Hello?" I called out tentatively, hoping for a response. "Can someone tell me how to get out of here?"
Suddenly, a voice rang out from the darkness, causing me to jump in surprise. "Hey, you can still joke in this kind of situation."
Relieved to hear someone else's voice, I replied, "Whoever you are, please show yourself. I can't see a thing, and it's freaking me out."
"Of course, kiddo," the voice said, and in the next instant, I found myself in a beautiful garden, sitting in front of a table with a steaming cup of tea.
My eyes wandered around in amazement, taking in the lush greenery and colorful flowers. And then, as if by magic, she appeared before me.
Her long, flowing hair was the color of a clear blue sky, and her stunning face radiated a beauty that took my breath away. Her curves were perfectly placed, accentuating her hourglass figure in all the right ways. And then there was her chest – a pair of gravity-defying orbs that looked almost too perfect to be real.
I couldn't take my eyes off her, completely mesmerized by her stunning appearance. I was sure she must have had a supple and bombastic rear to match her flawless figure, but my eyes were too busy admiring her top half to explore further.
As I listened intently to the words of the stunning Goddess before me, my mind was racing with a million questions. How could I have ended up here? What was this void she spoke of? And most importantly, who was this captivating entity that stood before me?
I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder as I took in her beauty. And yet, despite her otherworldly appearance, there was something about her that felt familiar, like I had known her my whole life.
"Like what you see?" she asked with a smirk on her lips, bringing me back to reality.
I coughed nervously, feeling my cheeks flush with embarrassment. "I...um...sorry," I stammered, trying to regain my composure. "I just...didn't expect...you."
The Goddess chuckled, the sound like music to my ears. "It's quite all right, Jak. I understand your confusion. You died in your world, and now you find yourself here, in the void."
As she spoke, my mind began to clear, and I realized that she was right. I had died, drowned in a river. And now, here I was, alive again, in a world beyond my understanding.
"But who are you?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
The Goddess smiled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "I am simply an entity born from this void, a being of light and energy. I have no name, no form, and yet I exist. And now, I have brought you here, to this place between worlds, to help you find your way."
As she spoke, I felt a sense of calm wash over me, like a warm blanket on a cold winter's night. Despite my confusion and fear, I knew that I could trust her.
And so, with a deep breath, I looked up at the Goddess, and I knew that I was ready to face whatever lay ahead.
"How the hell did I get here?" I muttered to myself as I stared at the goddess in front of me. She had a smug expression on her face, as if she knew exactly what I was thinking.
"Well, I have been living here for a few millennia," she began, her voice echoing through the empty void around us. "I've kept myself busy with a lot of things so I won't get bored. First, I started learning everything there is in this metaverse. After I learned every knowledge out there, I tried to find anything of interest, which led me to your world. And oh boy, the Earth has a lot of interesting things which I found to my liking, like a certain culture-not those countries' culture, but legit otaku culture."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her admission. "Once I started to watch anime or read mangas, light novels, etc. to pass my time, it got me completely hooked until now. And recently, I wanted to try something new for a change. Why not try sending a pitiful-cough cough, I mean fortunate-soul to an isekai world? It would be much more entertaining."
My heart pounded in my chest as the realization hit me. "That pitiful soul was me, right?" I asked, hoping that I was wrong.
"Well, you should feel lucky because I wasn't able to decide, so you were chosen from a gacha spin. You might have emptied your whole life's unused luck," the goddess replied, her words sounding almost mocking.
Despite feeling annoyed, I couldn't deny that a part of me was excited at the prospect of an isekai adventure. "You might be right. I was also bored with my life, that's why I decided to roam around the world to find some interesting things. But, as you know, how it ended up."
"So, what wish would you like to have, and which world would you want to go to? At least I can only fulfill these two wishes, so think carefully before asking," the goddess said, her expression serious.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, trying to think of the perfect wish. I couldn't just go with a half-assed wish, I needed to make it count. And then, it hit me. Why not fulfill all of my dreams at once?
"Hmmm, How about you become my master and teach me everything there is to know. I don't have any desire to obtain those op powers of others, so I want to learn everything I can learn then make the path to walk on with my own hands," I said to the goddess with a strong determination.
The goddess looked at me with interest, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Hmmmn~ Ohh ok, It's an interesting wish I am hearing from you, but you should know you would be my 1st disciple so I won't go easy on you, and if you still want to learn from me, then you would have to give your utmost efforts. If I am pleased with your progress, then I might reward you with something precious," she replied, her voice carrying a serious tone.
With excitement and determination coursing through me, I bowed three times in front of the goddess, greeting her as my master.
The goddess smiled at me and then informed me that time didn't exist in her realm, and that she would be granting me a thousand years of life to learn everything I desired. I felt a sense of relief knowing that time was on my side, and I could fully immerse myself in learning.
'It should be enough for a few things that I want to complete and for others, I just increase my comprehension and perception as high as I can for future uses,' I thought of a plan in my mind about what I have to give priority to.
Then the Goddess lent me a place in her humble abode and started imparting me the necessary knowledge which later I have to practice and that's how I spent my days in her Realm which turn days into months and then a thousand years passed away in the Goddess Realm in the blink of an eye.
