Zelda Stevens~ The sun shone brightly in the room that it could blind one's eyes, Zelda squinted her eyes to block the sun away from her but it was of no use! A small grunt escaped her lips as she stood up to close the curtains but even that it was of no use again, she was awake! She sighed and dropped the curtains, walking back to her bed she sat down, A loud knock could be heard on her door, She stood up and opened the door, It revealed her mother "Good morning Zee, I thought i would wake you up but apparently you woke up yourself!" Her mother's chirpy voice boomed through the walls of her r

oom and Zelda smiled at her "Good morning Mom, The sun was shinning in my eye so it woke me up!" She replied and sat back on the bed "Your dad wants to talk to you!" She says and Zelda's smiled dropped immediately "Mom I-" She stopped as her mom raised her hand up to silence her "You should know Zee, Your dad has the best intentions towards you and wants the absolute best for you. Get up and go see him!" Her mom says and she sighed "Alright mom!" She says and her mom smiled back "He is in his study so go see him!" She says and walked out of the room Zelda watched her mom's tall and slender figure walk away, She stood up from the ned and brushed her hair properly, walking into the bathroom to brush her teeth and after she was done she looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Walking out of the room towards her father's study, She stood out the office door and took a deep breathe before knocking, She heard a deep voice call out to go in and she did. "Good morning Dad!" She greets and the man looks up from the file in his hands The blonde haired man looked up at Zelda "What time did you get back home last night?" He asks and Zelda looked at him puzzled "10pm, why?" She asked and he looked up at her, Removing his glasses "You got back home 10pm? In my house?!" He says and Zelda paused "Yes Dad, I had a shoot and it took a while, I called to inform Mom I would be late!" Zelda explained and the man raised his eyebrows "I will not tolerate you coming back home at such an odd hour, Zelda!" He says in an authoritative tone and Zelda sighed "Well Dad, This is my job and I have to do it!" She retorted "I didn't send you to school just so you can sit in front of a camera and take pictures, Zelda! I sent you to the Harvard so you could make me proud, become a doctor! A lawyer! Something better than being that nonsense you talk about!" He snapped at her and tears clouded Zelda's eyes "Well guess what Dad! I didn't ask you to send me to Harvard, I don't want to become a doctor or a lawyer! I love modeling and I am progressing at it so why can't you just let it be and let me be happy with my life!" She says "Well guess what young lady, As long as you live in my house you will go by my rules! I don't want you modeling anymore! Get a proper job with your certificate and be useful, I mean we all thought this was a phase in your life but I can't keep up with this constant rubbish you call a job!" He says angrily "You know what Dad, You are right! Your house your rules but count me out! Starting from today I won't be living in your house anymore! I will keep my Job and I will be successful at it, It's totally up to you if you want to be proud of me but Starting from here onwards, I will not BEG you to be proud of me, EVER!" She yelled back and walked out of the study shutting the door behind her. Her tears came surfacing and she wiped it angrily, The workers in the house all looked at her walk towards her room angrily, She was done trying to make him understand her! She was done trying to make him understand her, She was done begging him to be proud of her just once. She shut the door behind her loudly and bursted into tears, It wasn't the first time she's argued with her dad, In-fact it was a normal thing in the Stevens Mansion! Her Dad compared her with every one of his friends children but guess what! She was better than all of them! ~~~~~~~ Zelda opened the door to her closet and brought out her bag, She starts to dump her clothes into the bag! She had no house to stay but she could rent or buy one within two day but she won't be staying in this house for one more day! She heard her room door open and knew who was there, Her mom! "Zelda Stevens! What do you think you're doing arguing with your father! You know he wants the best for you!" Her mom's says as she approached the closet, Zelda shut her eyes closed and wiped the tears that trickled down her face, It was normal! Nobody understood her, Not even her own mother. Zelda Ignored the voice of her mother and continued to dump her clothes in the bag after she was done she zipped up the bag and turned to face her mother "Stay with your husband, Mom! But I will continue my modeling career with or without your blessings!" She says and walk out to the room, Taking another bag she dumped all the things she would need into the bag and checked for her important documents, After she was done she wore her slippers and wiped her face so no trace of tears was there She grabbed her car keys and looked at her mom "Goodbye mom!" She says and walks out of the room Walking down the stairs she saw her dad look at her and looked the other way, She was used to it so she walked away. She walked out of the house and dumped the bags into her car boot, getting into her car she turned on the ignition and drove out of the mansion That was it, there was no turning back again!

Zelda Stevens~ Zelda wiped the tears that kept trickling down her chin, The stupid tears wouldn't stop but how would they stop when she has been terribly hurt, By her own parents! Growing up she wasn't used to seeing her Dad around as he was the Field marshal in the army, Her dad was so strict she literally used to shiver and scramble away anytime she heard his voice. She went to Harvard and studied law but she wasn't the least interested in being a lawyer, She always loved modeling! She loved the run way shows! But her parents could never understand her.

She parked her car by the road side and sighed, Where would she go to now? Of course she wasn't regretting not listening to her father, As a matter of fact she was relieved and happy she could stand for herself and leave the house! But where would she go to? She had no place in mind! She couldn't go to her managers place because it wasn't professional She could do a hotel right? So she turned on the ignition of the car and started to drive around too, One thing was sure she would not be getting an hotel around so she started to drive. Her phone started to ring and she plugged in her AirPods "Jade, What's up!" She says and heard some shuffling on the line "Ah Zee, I have been trying to reach you for the past hour, Don't forget your appointment for today! " Jade reminded her and Zelda's hands tightened on the steering wheel "I'm afraid we will have to reschedule it, Jade! I am in a bit of a situation right now and I can't grant any interview or appointments today" she says and heard Jade gasp over the phone "What do you mean Zee, You know it is going to be difficult to just reschedule! They confirmed with me yesterday and I told them You would be there so what are you saying now? !" Jade yelled over the phone and Zelda squinted her eyes "I'm sorry Jade but reschedule it, I would call you later " She says and waited for no reply from the woman before cutting the call. Her father, Sir Rowland II just had to ruin the day for her, She is a 23 years old lady and is an adult already! Why does he think he has the right to dictate how her life should go and shouldn't? She gets that he was used to being in command and giving orders but she won't be taking such orders when it involved her own life. Zelda drove until she found an hotel Edward Island, She knew the place and it was the perfect place for her. She sighed internally and drove into the place, stopping at the checkpoint for the security, After she was done she drove towards the entrance and got down, giving the key of her car to the butler, A call man came ahead and assisted her with her luggages. She walked towards the receptionist whose eyes widen on recognizing her, Zelda sighed internally at the way she looked, She knew she wasn't looking her best that morning and it didn't help matters that someone recognized her "Give me your finest suite!" She says and the woman nods quickly, After a while the entire process was completed, she was handed her key. Zelda took the elevator upstairs to where the room was and opened the door, thanking the man for his service she watched as he walked away. Zelda removed her slippers and plopped unto the bed, She brought put her phone to check if there was any missed call from her mom but as usual there was nothing. She sighed and turned off the phone, She couldn't believe her mom would totally let her be! Was it so horrible to be a model? She knew her parents were ashamed of her but she always tried to prove herself was but it wasn't enough, She constantly had to out up with the normal comparison between her and her elder brother Brian! Brian is a doctor and owns an hospital here in NewYork, He was doing pretty well for himself which was why her parents preferred him over her! Zelda sat up, She was done with the self pity! She was done sulking that her parents couldn't love her like they should! She stood up and looked around the wall of the suite, It was the executive suite and she saw why! It was simply gorgeous, She could see why Edward's Island was the best in NewYork city! The view was simply breathtaking She peeled off her clothes and stepped into the luxurious bathroom, A smile made itself way to her lips as she looked around! She wanted her house bathroom to be just like this, It was satisfying to look at. Zelda stepped filled the bathtub with water and bubble soap, She scooped the water and saw that the temperature was cool, Lifting her feet she stepped into the bathtub and laid in it, It was relaxing and welcoming It felt like home! After she was done bathing, She towel dried her body and unzipped the bag she brought with her, Picking out a tank top and shorts , she wore it and dried her hair after which she tied it into a ponytail. She took out her phone again and turned it on, Several messages and calls from Jade asking why she canceled and about three missed calls from Anna! Her best friend Anna! When her family decided to not support her, Anna became her family, Anna supported her all through thick and thin, Anna was there for her and Zelda couldn't be more grateful to Anna!. She immediately dialed Anna's number to which after about two rings Anna picked "Where did you put your phone silly? I called severally!" She whined into the phone and Zelda chuckled warmly "I had a huge fight with my dad and I left the house!" She said and heard nothing over the phone "You left? As in you went out ?" Anna asked again and Zelda rolled her eyes "I left as in, I LEFT! I told him I won't be coming back to the house again!" She says and heard Anna gasp over the phone "Where the hell are you now, I'm coming over ASAP!" Anna says and Zelda chuckled "Edward's Island.." She says and heard a beep over the phone Anna had cut the call, Zelda smiled and dropped the phone on the bed. If her parents decided to ignore her existence she could as well ignore them After all she had a family and it wasn't them!

Zelda Stevens~ Zelda opened her laptop and sat down to scroll through her feeds, A while later she heard a knock by her door and she stood up to open it, She opened the door and it revealed her best friend Anna.

Anna was a model just like her which was why her parents didn't approve of their friendship even though the two kids had known each other since kindergarten, Anna had straight brunette hair and chocolate brown eyes, An amazing extremely clear dark skin that Zelda had always envied, Anna was about 5'11 tall and slender, She carried herself with poise and grace although she could be really chirpy and funny too, she had all the qualities and that was one of the thing that made the friendship blossom. While she! Zelda had shoulder length dark honey blonde hair, with bright blue eyes and a pretty straight nose, Full plump lips, She had a pretty smooth and clear skin, She was the same height as Anna but curvier than Anna, She and Anna were specially carved by God himself . Zelda smiled upon seeing her best friend "Zee!" Anna whined and hugged her tightly "Too tight" Zelda choked out and Anna smiled before walking into the room "What in the world happened?!" She says as she sat on the couch looking at her "Well, I got back home 10pm last night but he decided he had a problem with that, We got Into one of our usual arguments and he started to point out that my job was useless and all of that, I mean I got fed up with constantly being put down and I couldn't take it anymore!" Zelda says and Anna pouted, standing up from the couch she walked towards Zelda and pulled her into a hug "It will get better Zee, Have faith!" She says and Zelda sighed, inhaling Anna's strong perfume "So What are you going to do? You know you can come stay at my place!" Anna says while wiggling her eyebrows and Zelda chuckled "I can't Anna, You know I don't want to inconvenience you!" Zelda says and Anna snorted "Inconvenience me how? You are my best friend Zee and I have rooms that you will have no issue staying in my house, I just don't get why you won't take my help and would rather stay in an hotel!" Anna says offended and Zelda sighs "Come on Anna, You know that's not it! I just want to be independent this time, I don't want to depend on you or my parents! Just let me do this for myself, I promise it's nothing like that!" Zelda says and Anna sighs "It's fine, I understand you so I won't push, But you better find a house ASAP! You can't live in this beautiful hotel all your life!" Anna says as she looked around dreamily "Yes mother, I will look up for houses online, I think I might just buy one instead or what do you think?" She asked Anna who was looking at the entire place "Yeah but you know that would take time, Even if you eventually find one you like. Before you get to paint it and get the furnitures, It's going to take a long while!" Anna says and Zelda paused to think about it "I guess but I'll rather just buy the house once and for all! No stress." She replies and Anna shrugged "What's for breakfast because i am starving!" Anna announced as she sat back on the couch, Zelda chuckled and picked up the hotel's land line to make a call, She ordered for some french toasts and coffee, Omelette and hotdog with spring water. The French toasts was for Anna, It was her favorite and she usually ate it whenever she could. "Did you see Tracie?" Anna asked as she looked up from her phone and Zelda furrowed her eyebrows in confusion "Who is Tracie?" She asked and Anna groaned "I mean we are in this same business together but only I get all the juicy details, Well you remember Tracie that blonde that modeled alongside us at the British fashion week? She reminded and Zelda's eyes widen as she remembered "Yes I remember, What's wrong?" She asked "Well apparently she had a huge fight with her management and now is currently managing herself!" Anna says, Zelda opens her mouth to talk but the knock on the door interrupted them. She walked towards the door and opened the door to let the room service come in They started to set the foods on the table and eventually left, Zelda turned to look at Anna "Wow, It's going to be quite difficult for her to get gigs!" She says "I know right!" Anna replies as she sat down to eat "Do you know what caused the 'huge' fight between her and the management?" Zelda asked her and Anna looked up her "How would I know, Zee? I am not a gossip!" She says and Zelda starts to laugh "Nope, Not a gossip but If you know tell me, I would also like to know!" She says and wiggled her eyebrows "Well all I know is, It was money issues!" She says and Zelda shrugged, It was always money issues. ~~~~~~~~~ The day went by quickly, Anna left to complete some work she had after her manager kept disturbing her with calls, Speaking of manager Zelda checked her phone and saw a message from Jade telling her that the interview had be rescheduled for the next day, She sighed and replied back to Jade telling her it was alright and she would be there. She sighed when she saw there was no message from her parents or even her brother and turned off the phone, It was night now and she needed to sleep so as to wake up for the next day. Zelda had her bath and used her night routine clear skin mask for her face, She preferred to sleep naked so she got into bed, switching off the light and using the duvet to cover herself, She was ready for whatever the next day brought for her Only she wasn't ready to see a naked man in her bed!
