A Forgotten Love

Prologue

Elias and Riley have grown up together, and had always been the best of friends. They were bound to fall in love, and their parents couldn't have been happier. They were the kind of couple that romance novels were written about. That forever kind of love that will one day lead to marriage.

They had a perfect life. More in love than they ever thought they could be. They knew one day they would marry. Until one night everything was taken away from them. They took everything for granted thinking they had all the time in the world. They had forever but sadly forever didn't last as long as they thought.

A drunk driver slammed into Riley's side of the car. She hit her head hard causing her to be put in a coma due to brain swelling. Elias thought he was going to lose the only girl he has ever loved. He was so broken up about it and wouldn't leave her side.

He got the news she had awaken and ran up to the hospital to see her. He ran into her room and grabbed her hand. She looked scared and pushed him away. What do you do when the woman you love doesn't even remember who you are?

Chapter 1

Riley's pov

I can't believe prom is tomorrow I'm so excited. Tomorrow will be the night me and Elias finally make love. I love him so much he is my everything. We have known each other since we were in diapers. We started off as best friends then before we knew what was happening, we were in love.

Once we graduated, we were even going to go to the same college. Then once we were done with college we would be married. We had our whole lives planned out. I knew he was the one for me, and our parents couldn't be any happier.

I think our mothers had our wedding all planned out already. It was cute how all our friends told us we had the kind of love that only existed in fairy tales. I didn't think we were a fairytale at all. We just knew what we wanted and worked hard to keep it.

I mean we fight just like every other couple, but we don't say things in anger. We have days where we get on each other's nerves, but that's normal. Right now, I was waiting for him to come over so we could have our weekly movie night. It's funny how after being together three years I still get nervous on what to wear for him. I heard a knock on my door, and looked up as Elias was coming in.

"Hey baby so what are we watching tonight?" Elias asked as he flopped down on my bed.

Yea my parents trusted us to be alone in my room. If it had been anyone else, they wouldn't allow me to be alone in my room with them, but they adored Elias and trusted him.

"Well, I have Admissions, The host, and Epic. Which one do you want to watch?"

"Let's watch the host."

I put the movie in then went and laid down on the bed with him. I loved being this close with him. I really didn't want to wait until tomorrow night. We did have the whole house to ourselves for the night. So maybe we shouldn't wait anymore.

"Elias um I don't want to wait anymore."

He just looked at me.

"What do you mean baby girl."

"I mean make love to me."

"Baby are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure I want this, Elias."

He started to passionately kiss me as we undressed each other. We were both very clumsy since it was both of our first time. Once we were both undressed and under the covers we started kissing and touching each other. I didn't know what I was doing, but he seemed to like it.

He got on top of me, and I helped him to slide the condom on. He took his time and was slow, but it still hurt like hell. I cried out, and he instantly stopped.

"Baby if it hurts you maybe we should stop if this hurts you too much."

"No, I'm sure it will stop hurting after a while."

He continued, but he went very slowly. I loved how gentle he was being with me. He was perfect everything I want and need in a guy.

Chapter 2

Elias's pov

Making love to my girl was the best feeling in the world. She was truly amazing. I wasn't expecting this tonight, but I'm glad it happened. Riley was my soulmate, and I was happy we were each other's first.

I didn't want to leave her, but I knew her parents would be home soon, and I respected them far too much to have them catch us like this. So I got out of bed and got dressed. I wrote her a note explaining why I left then kissed her cheek. I went down and got in my car.

No one could wipe the smile that was on my face. Tomorrow night I would be taking the sexiest girl alive to the prom. I got home and crawled into bed as my phone went off. I smiled as I saw it was a text from Riley.

(Hey babe you could have woke me up before you left, but thank you for everything. I love you, and I'll see you tomorrow.)

I quickly sent her text telling her I loved her as well then put my phone on the charger. I was excited about tomorrow night because me and Riley would be spending the night in a hotel room. I couldn't wait to have her all to myself.

Tomorrow night was the night I was going to give her the promise ring I bought her. I wish is was an engagement ring, but we made a promise to not get engaged until we were done with college.

I had the whole night planned it was going to be perfect. Only the best for my girl. I laid there trying to sleep, but I was just too excited.

For one my girl was a shoe in to be homecoming queen, and well I was scared I would mess up. I just want everything to be perfect. What if the room isn't nice enough? What if the ring doesn't fit? I know we have known each other forever, but I still get nervous.

Out of all the guys she could have been with she chose me. For that reason alone, I want to give her the world. She deserves it. I went to sleep with thoughts of her running through my mind.
