"You aren't planning to stay on the bed forever, are you? Do you know what day it is today?" My dad's faint voice jolts me out of my deep slumber, and I toss on the bed. Forcing my eyes open, I stare up at the ceiling as a smile creeps up my lips. It's not yet dawn, but I have to get off bed and get ready before the makeup artists arrives here. Guess who's getting married today? Well, it's me. I'm getting married to the only man I've ever loved in my life. The popular model and the CEO of Orange cosmetics company, Felix Orlando.
"I'm up already, dad," I reply amid yawn, stretching my body. I need to have my bath and wait for the makeup artist to come get me ready for my big day.
The sound of my dad's receding footsteps fills the hallway, and I presume that he must've gone back already.
Two hours later...
I have been sitting before the dresser, while the makeup artist works on my face. I wonder what's taking them so long to get done with the make-up. It has always been my dream to get married to Felix, and this is a dream come true for me.
"We're done, ma'am," I open my eyes and the sight that welcomes me makes my mouth drop open in shock. I look like another person. Yes, I am beautiful, but this is amazing. The make-up artists are pros and good at what they do.
One hour later...
Descending the staircase, the smile on my dad's face welcomes me.
"Wow! You're so beautiful," he compliments me, holding out his hand to me, while I smile shyly.
"Thanks, daddy," I finally place my palm on his, as he leads me out of the house.
The drive to the church is not stressful and didn't take much time. Unlike every other day that one would get stuck in a traffic jam, we are lucky today that there was nothing like that. My day would've been ruined if we got stuck here. Thinking about Felix, I can't be less happy. I guess this is how every other persons will feel, getting married to the one they love.
"I'm happy that you're happy, princess," my dad's voice pulls my attention, and I smile at him. My dad has always been the best in the whole world. Since the death of my mom when I was just eleven years old, he has always been there for me. He gave me all the happiness in the whole world.
Everything is still like a dream to me, even after thirteen years of her death. I still feel sad whenever I think about her and I always wish that she never left us. She was the best mom in the whole world that'll do anything for the sake of her family. I wish she was here to witness this day with me, I wish she was here to walk me down the aisle with my dad and hand me over to Felix.
"Why are you crying?" Dad's voice disrupts my thoughts, and that's when it dawns on me that I have tears in my eyes.
"Nothing," I wipe my tears with a handkerchief.
"Don't be sad, OK?" He holds my hand and squeezes it lightly, giving me an assuring smile...
A few minutes later...
Standing in front of the entrance door of the church, my heartbeat increases rapidly and my hands suddenly becomes sweaty. I tighten my grip around the flower I have been holding. I'm so nervous right now. Maybe because of the number of people waiting for me inside the church, or maybe because I'm getting married.
"Don't be nervous," dad whispers to my ear, giving me an assuring smile, and I nod my head.
The door suddenly opens, and for some seconds, my heartbeat stops. The church is already filled with so many people. Felix is standing in front of the alter. He's dressed in a black suit, looking as hot as always. His raven hair is clinging to his head with some strands flopping over his face. He stares at me from there having a blank expression on his face. He's not smiling nor frowning on his face. It's hard to tell how he's feeling inside.
"Shall we?" My dad's voice pulls me back to reality, and I nod my head. We finally walk inside the church elegantly. The church lit up with applause as the crowds' cheered.
My dad holds my hand and leads me down the aisle.
A few minutes later...
"Do you, Mr. Felix Orlando, take Rita Quinn as your lovely wedded wife? To love and to cherish, to hold and to care for. In sickness and in health, till death do you apart?" The bishop finally asks after we exchanged the ring.
"Yes, I do," my heart beams happily, as I stare into his eyes with love, but he's not giving me a convincing expression.
"Do you, Miss Rita Quinn, take Mr. Felix Orlando to be your lawfully wedded husband? To love, and to cherish, to him hold and to care for, in sickness and in health, till death do you apart?" The bishops asks me.
"Yes, I do," I reply to him with my heart dancing excitedly.
"With the power vested on me, before man and God, I pronounce you two husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride," the bishop utters, and I wait for him anxiously to kiss me.
He stares into my eyes with an unreadable expression on his face. He neither looks happy nor sad. His expression explains mixed feelings, but I have no idea what the mixed feelings might be.
He finally lean close to me and place his lips on mine. My heart skip a beat as his lips comes in contact with mine. A strong wave of weird sensation spark through me, as I feel butterflies flying in my abdomen. Felix kissed me for the first time, and it feels so good. We're finally husband and wife. This is the day I have always looked forward to, the day I have always dreamt of. I can't be less happy...
Night...

Sitting on the edge of the bed, my heart keeps racing nervously as I fondle with my fingers. I just showered and applied fragrance to my body, just as my maid, Lisa had advised me to. I don't know if it's a good idea, but she told me that Felix will like it.
The bathroom door that just opened, disrupts my thoughts. Raising my gaze, my jaw drops at the sight that welcomes me. Felix just stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. This is my second time seeing him naked, but my first time having access to gawk at his body. His body is dripping wet. His toned abs looks perfect for a model. I guess he visits the gym often, because of his well-built body. His raven hair is damp and clinging to his head, making him hot. Should I say that I am lucky to marry the most perfect man?
"Are you going to drool all day?" His dry voice jolts me back to reality, and I quickly turn my face away, while biting my bottom lip in embarrassment. He caught me drooling at him.
"Uhm..."
"Come here," he cuts me off in the sexiest voice that melts my heart instantly. As if his words are spell, I slowly stand up to my feet and walk over to him. He's standing close to the wall, having that desired look on his face. The look depicts how much he wants me badly.
Standing in front of him now, my heart pick race again as so many things rush through my mind. Thinking of what he might do to me tonight, make my legs weaken. I'm excited though.
Staring into my eyes intently with a smirk dancing at the corner of his lips, his hand slowly slide around my waist and pull me close to himself. Our bodies are now pressing hard against each other, and I can feel his manhood poking me down there. Although I haven't seen it, it feels like it'll be massive.
"Do you have anywhere to go tomorrow and next?" His husky voice sound through my ear as his breath fan my face. I stare back at him in confusion, wondering what he meant by that.
"Huh?" Confused, I hum.
"Because after I'm done with you, you won't be walking for the next forty-eight hours," my heart skip a beat as his words send cold shivers down my spine. My legs weaken on the floor, and a sudden lump forms in my throat.
Still trying to get out of the shocked state he had put me, a gasp escape my lips as I suddenly feel his tongue on the sensitive part of my neck.
My breath hitch as he bites on it slightly, teasing me with his tongue right there, and I throw my head back. His touch is driving me crazy, but I keep wanting more of him. I want him to do more. I run my fingers on the wall, trying to hold on to something to support myself, but there's nothing I can hold on to.
"How do you want it?" His husky voice brushes my ear, as he bites and licks on my earlobe, sending sparks through my body. My legs are beginning to fail to carry me again, as they now wobble on the ground.
"Felix..." His name escapes my lips in a moan before I can stop myself.
"Say my name again, wife," that last part make my heart lit up in excitement. I wish he call me that all day.
"Felix..." I moan his name again, shutting my eyes tightly and biting my bottom lip. My hands slowly find their way to his bare back, and they're so damn smooth and feels so sweet to touch. I couldn't have expected less. For someone that's into the production of cream, caring for his skin would be sure.
He suddenly pulls away from me, and my stomach growl angrily. Why does he have to stop? I'm enjoying every bit of this.
With a dirty smirk playing at the corner of his lips, he picks me up in a bridal style and heads to the bed. He carefully lowers me to the bed and gets on top of me. With his eyes lock with mine, he slowly remove the rope from my robe, letting it loose and revealing the red pant and bra I am wearing. Lisa got it for me. She said that he would go crazy when he see it. I pray it works.
He stares down at my cleavage with an unreadable expression on his face. I can't tell from his expression if he likes it or not.
Still confused about what he must be thinking, he suddenly lean closer and capture my lips in his, kissing me slowly and softly. I arch my back as his hand comes in contact with my skin. His hand crawls up my body until it gets to my chest, and he grabs one of my boobs. His every touch keeps driving me to the edge of craziness, and I can't help wanting more of him. He's so sweet, and I love that we got married.
"Hmm..." A soft moan tears through my throat, as I hold onto the duvet. My toes curl in and I bite my lip as I suddenly feel his tongue twirl around my nipple, sending a spark through my body...
The next day...
The white ceiling welcomes me back from dreamland once I open my eyes. Staring up at the white ceiling, memories of yesterday night flash through my mind, and I cover my face in embarrassment. Yesterday was so sweet. Now I understand why lovemaking on a wedding night is so special.
Holding the duvet on my chest to prevent it from falling off, I stand up from the bed weakly and amble to the bathroom. All my body aches badly.
Thirty minutes later...
Descending the staircase, the aroma of delicious food welcomes me, and I smile. Gosh! I was so hungry. It's a good thing that I'm going to eat.
"Here comes my beautiful daughter-in-law," Mr. Orlando welcomes me with a wide smile on his face. He's sitting in the dining room and having breakfast. I guess I woke up late.
"Good morning, Sir," I greet him politely, as I pull out a chair and sit on it.
"Call me dad," he corrects me, and I nod my head.
"Dad..." Although it sounds weird, but I seem to like it. It makes me feel loved.
"That's more like it," he chuckles.
"Where's Fe..." My words are cut in my mouth as I sight him walk in from the kitchen.
"You're awake already?" He flashes me a smile.
"Yes," I reply to him, avoiding his gaze. I feel so embarrassed, thinking about what happened between us yesterday. Maybe it's because that was our first time.
"I made breakfast," he says and starts serving us.
A few minutes later...
An awkward silence fills the air as we all eat. It feels weird eating with them, but I know that I'll get used to it as time goes by.
"Rita..." Mr. Orlando finally breaks the silence.
"Yes, si... Dad," I quickly correct myself.
"My company needs a manager while I'm out of the country for some time. I'll be leaving in a few days, and I want you to manage it on my behalf," he says, and I glance at him.
"Alright. I'll be glad to work in your company," I reply to him...
Rita Quinn
The sound of my blaring alarm pulls me out of my deep slumber, and I force my eyes open.
Staring up at the ceiling, I smile warmly as I run my fingers through my hair tiredly. Thinking of last night with Felix, I giggle softly. It has been one week since we got married, and these days have been the best days of my life. Felix is so sweet and gives me all the love and attention.
I'm resuming work in his dad's company today, and I have to get ready early enough for work. Tilting my head to my right-hand side on the bed where Felix slept, I smile widely as his handsome face welcomes me. He's sleeping peacefully, and he looks extremely cute when sleeping. Loving him is what I will never get bored of.
I lean in on him and place a soft kiss on his forehead, before I finally get off the bed, and stride into the bathroom.
One and a half hours later...
I glance at my reflection in the mirror for the last time, before I finally amble out of the room, not after picking up my handbag.
"Finally, you're here," Mr. Orlando welcomes me into the living room. I guess he has been waiting for me.
"Good morning, dad," I greet him politely.
"Good morning my dear. Aren't you going to have breakfast?" He questions.
"No, I'll eat later," I reply to him. I don't usually eat on my first day of going to a new place. I'll have indigestion because of nervousness.
"Alright. Shall we?" He asks, and I nod my head. We both stride out of the living room and heads straight to the parking lot.
Felix is not going to the office this morning, as he's having an appointment with someone. He's still in the house and will be leaving maybe in an hour or two.
Mr. Orlando's driver drives us to the company...
Thirty minutes later...
Mr. Orlando finally show me to my office after introducing me to the staffs of the company.
It feels weird, working as a manager. I think I'll get used to it as time goes by.
Mr. Orlando took his time to teach me how things are done here, and in just a few hours, I've learned so much many things.
"I'll leave you now," Mr. Orlando says to me and leaves afterward.
I had a hectic day today. I thought working as a secretary was stressful, but turns out that managers always have more work to do, than any other person in the company.
After I'm done with my work, I pick up my bag and stride out of my office. Stepping out of the building, I stop abruptly at the sight that welcomes me. Felix is just in the parking lot, leaning against his car. Did he come to pick me up?
"What are you doing here?" I ask confusingly as I amble over to where he is standing.
"I came to pick you up. Get inside the car and let's go home," he answers casually, pulling the door open without even glancing at me. It's as if he was forced to come to pick me, up or something like that. Why's he acting weird?
I sigh briefly and hop in the car. I was going to take a cab home since I didn't come to the office in my car. We all came in Mr. Orlando's car earlier.
"You look gloomy, are you OK?" I ask him worriedly, as I fasten my seatbelt.
"I'm fine," he replies to me casually, not even sparing me a glance.
"Uhm... Did anyone get you angry? You don't look like you're fine..."
"And I told you that I am fine, Rita! Just stop getting me pissed," he sneer at me, as he finally glances at me through the rear mirror. Anger is written all over his face.
For the rest of the drive home, I sit in the backseat sadly. I'm not angry because he yelled at me, but I'm worried about him. He hasn't acted like this ever since we got married, and it's disturbing that he's like this. Maybe I'll be able to comfort him if he gives me the chance to.
He steps out of the car and walks ahead of me as soon he parks in the parking lot.
Stepping out of the car, I trail behind him. The sound of my ringing phone brings me to an abrupt halt. I search my handbag and bring my phone out of it.
"Hello, dad," I speak up as soon as I slide the answer button.
"Hello, princess. I have to leave for Seoul now for a business appointment. I'm on my way to the airport," his voice sounds through the phone.
"But dad..."
"I'm sorry. I know I was supposed to come to see you before I leave. I promise to make it up to you when I get back. I'll be back in less than two weeks," he explains to me, and I sigh.
"Alright, dad. Make sure you call me before leaving the airport," I'm sad that he's leaving. I have seen him just twice since I got married. He's always busy with work. He always ends up spending more than three months, each time he tells me that he'll spend less than a month.
"I will. Alright, I gotta go now," the call drops dead, and I sigh. I amble to the entrance door and step into the living room. Felix is sitting on the couch.
"Felix, I..." The sound of my ringing phone disrupts me, and I check the screen of my phone. It's Mr. Orlando.
"Rita, I'm on my way to the airport. I tried calling you earlier, but there was no reception. I'm traveling to Seoul for a business appointment, and I'll be back in three days. Take care of yourself," his voice sounds through the phone as soon as I slide the answer button.
"Alright, dad. Be safe," I say to him before the call drop dead. Why's everyone traveling?
I crash on the couch tiredly, rubbing my forehead. Felix already left the living room while I was on the phone.
Four hours later...
Sitting on the edge of the bed, I go through the emails one more time before I finally shut the laptop down. I need to get some sleep already. I've been on the computer for almost two hours now.
My phone suddenly starts buzzing, and I reach out to it. I had turned on the vibration mode, instead of ringing. It's Lisa, calling. I check the time, and it's already past 11pm. Why's Lisa calling me at this time of the night?
"Hey, Lisa. What's up?" I ask, as soon as I pick up the call.
"There's a problem, ma'am. You should check the internet," her shaky voice sound from the other end, and I pull a puzzled look.
Still holding the phone to my ear, the door suddenly burst open and Felix rushed in, looking all frightened. The look on his face depicts fear and pain. He's holding his phone in his hand.
"Lisa..." I slowly call, staring at Felix, but it seems like she ended the call long ago. What's going on?
"Felix..." My heartbeat increases rapidly as I stare at him cluelessly.
"The plane...it crashed..." His lips quivers as tears well up in his eyes. What's he talking about?
'You should check the internet' Lisa's words ring in my head, and I slowly bring down my phone from my ear. I gulp down the sudden lump that formed in my throat, as I turn on my data connection. My fingers trembles as click on the internet icon. Shortly, a notification pop on the screen of my phone, which reads 'just in, the plane heading to Seoul from Las Vegas airport, crashed'. The whole world stops abruptly as I stare at the screen of my phone. Wait! This isn't true! No! This is not happening!
Raising my gaze slowly to Felix, I realize that he's already crashed into the wall and clutched his hair tightly as if he want to pull it out forcefully.
"My dad... Your dad...they're dead. They died in the plane crash," he whisper the first two words but scream the last part, and my heart sink into my stomach. No! This is not true! My dad can't be dead, Mr. Orlando can't be dead. They called me a few hours ago, they can't be the one!
