A Curse Bestowed on The Alpha

Laurence's POV

It was 8pm and I decided to go for a run, I shouted out to my parents "I will see you in a bit, not sure what time I will be back so no need to wait up for me".

"Be careful son", dad shouted back. 'Aren't I always' I thought.

Our pack grounds are huge and my dad is the Alpha no one dared to cross him, if they did he would put them in the cells. So I stripped naked in front of the house and shifted. I then took off towards the trees and darted between them and then heard several screams. I came to an abrupt stop and started sniffing the air, something was definitely wrong.

I went towards where I heard the screams, I took one look, it instantly made my blood boil to see Rogues tormenting the women and children. I wanted to run back to the pack house and get some help but I instantly knew I needed to do something to protect them even though they weren't a part of our pack.

From what I had seen some of the she-wolves they were protecting their young. So I did the only thing I was taught, fight and protect those that are being harmed.

There was only me from The Blood Moon Pack. There were 20 Rogues, 1 of me and 15 She-wolves with young Pups. I then mind-linked my father and told him what I saw and then I was about to tell him where I was when I was hit across the back of my head.

When I woke I was tied to a bed in Silver Chains, "where am I?", I said, a voice came back and said "you don't need to worry, you're right where I want you" a ladies voice came back.

"I will release you in a few hours, but you won't remember much unfortunately".

I wanted to move but I couldn't, my mind was elsewhere, it was as if I was seeing what had happened to me and my mind was losing it. "What have you done to me?", I said.

"Who are you?, What's your name?", "when my father finds you, he will finish you", I said.

"You will find out soon enough Laurence", the voice came back.

"How do you know my name?", I demand to know who you are", I shouted. But all I felt was a sharp lash to my face.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS", I shouted. "My father will find you and tear you to shreds".

"Your father won't harm his sister now will he?". Came the voice. My eyes widen at the word 'Sister'.

My father never mentioned a Sister, who was she?, she can't be the one everyone knew was an outcast of the pack. I never knew her name only that she was a witch and used to cast spells on those that hurt the Alpha's family. Was I a threat?.

"Please, tell me your name I won't say anything to anyone", just let me go home". I said.

"My name is Scarlett, I am different to you and your father. I can't explain it yet. I have always protected those that hurt my family, but I didn't think I would have had you as my prisoner, you see, your father was always the one who had everything, me, I was seen as a nobody". Scarlett said.

Was she really a nobody?, to me she seemed very powerful and someone I really didn't want to cross but It was too late for that. All I wanted to do was go home and never remember this.

"Laurence, you will become Alpha, but to achieve that you need to break the curse I bestowed upon you as a baby. I won't tell you anymore, you need to figure it out yourself or ask your father.

With that, Scarlett wandered over to me untied me and said "We will see each other again soon".

"If you don't find your Luna by your 18th Birthday which was in 4 months, then you will be forever cursed".

Laurence's POV

I was told how my curse suddenly started as I wanted to know in detail as I was originally told it was a story, but it suddenly started feeling real. I asked Dad outright what happened the night I was Cursed.

"Dad, I know you don't like talking about it, but what really happened on the night I was born?, I really want to know", I said.

"Ok son, sit down", he started.

"It all started when your mum was carrying you at the time, everything was going as it should be, my father told me that they were looking after someone named Scarlett, it turns out she was somewhat different to us", he said.

'I nodded listening to him very carefully about what was coming up and I had this feeling in the pit of my stomach, as if I knew what he was about to say I wouldn't like what he was about to tell me'.

While he was talking to me I heard snippets of what he was saying to me as I still had my mind focused on the word 'Cursed'. 'Why me?, what did I do to deserve this', I thought to myself.

"Laurence?, you ok?," Dad asked.

"Yes, sorry still getting my head around the fact that I was cursed and there may be nothing I can do about it", I said to him.

"This isn't your fault, don't beat yourself up about it, ok, we will all figure this out I won't allow you to do go through this all on your own, I promise you", Dad said.

"Your mum started having contractions, so she was taken straight to the pack hospital for them to check what was going on, as you weren't supposed to be a month early", he said.

"All of a sudden Scarlett turned up at the hospital and was in the same room as us and started talking to us about you, we couldn't believe it we just wanted her out.

She wanted us to know when she has her daughter they were to marry, like an arrangement, your mum wouldn't have it", he kept on saying.

"So what did she do to mum?", I asked him.

"She said to us that if we didn't agree then you would be cursed forever, also we had until your 18th Birthday, I'm so sorry for keeping this from you.

Your mum wasn't happy but she turned around and flatly refused. She wouldn't do that and you would find your mate on your own and when you felt ready and not before", he said.

'I could feel my eyes start to water as I wanted to cry, is this why mum wasn't here, did she just go and decline to her', I thought.

I put my head in both of my hands and and I wanted to cry, but I knew that there was nothing I could do except for finding a way out of this, with or without help.

"What happened to mum?", I asked him.

"Scarlett would put a death curse on her as soon as you were born unless she agreed to her terms, but nope your mother was having none of it, she was being stressed by all of this but at the time your mum went into labour and it was too late", he said.

"The last thing your mum said to me just before you were born was, you make sure he chooses his mate and no one else, he's gonna be strong he can endure this with your help and the rest of the pack", he said.

'Now I was starting to get more emotional than before, I have to do this for mum. I am stronger than this, I'll do this for you mum. I'll break whatever she bestowed upon us', I thought to myself.

"When you were born there was nothing that could be done as it was over so quickly, I had this beautiful bundle in my arms, Scarlett walked over to you and looked down at you with a smile on her face", he said.

"She looked at and said You have until you're 18 to decide whether or not you want to be with her daughter. If not then people die", He told me.

I wanted to find her and give her a what for after killing my mum, I needed to get out of there after hearing that. I clenched my jaw tight along with my fists which were now turning white as suddenly I was about to seriously lose it. I needed that run. I took off and the last thing dad said to me was to be careful.

A run always helped me out and I needed to let off steam, but I wanted to run and run and run. But I knew I would have to go back and face the situation sooner rather than later.

It was the day that I was supposed to be meeting 'Alice', Scarlett's daughter. I am such a mess, what could she possibly want from me to make this request?.

I went to school as normal and it just made me keep wondering 'why me, was it because I was the Alpha's son?'.

I couldn't wait to get to training so I could then get the stress and worry out of my mind for what could happen tonight. During the training I suddenly shifted because I was so frustrated at the thought I was being mated to someone I didn't even know.

My father was called and immediately he could see how angry I was becoming, so he shifted and we had a fight and it wasn't until after we finished that he realised how strong I was. I just wanted to run and not look back, but knowing how strong I was, I was trained everyday instead of three days a week like usual.

It was my father who trained me, I didn't mind training with my father as I didn't want to fight anyone else and risk seriously hurting them or even worse, kill them.

After training with my father, I went back into school and took a shower, I then got dressed and headed home. As I walked through the front door I went straight up to my room and laid on my bed, when I heard a knock on my door.

It was my step-mum, "Hey sweetie, I heard what happened at school, do you want to talk about it?", she said.

My Step-mum was strong and someone whom I can talk too more so than my dad. "I'm ok, thank you for asking, I'm just concerned about tonight. To be honest I can't understand why she wants me to be mated to her daughter, I don't even know her, what do I do?", I ask.

"Well what you do is speak to her, you'll know instantly if she is your mate or not, to be honest sweetheart I didn't want to be with your dad, I was mated to him and it wasn't until I spent sometime with him that I realised we were a match made in heaven.

Not everyone gets their happily ever after, just give her a chance, you never know what could happen".

'I really didn't want this, I wanted to go to the Ball and choose myself, but I guess this is the only way'. Mum then left to go and sort the dinner table out, ten minutes later I get called for dinner.

All I do is fiddle around with my food on my plate not really feeling hungry. I feel sick to the pit of my stomach. I excuse myself from the table and head upstairs to my room.

Scarlett's POV

It was getting very close to the time that Alice was meeting Laurence. "Alice, are you ready?", I shouted up the stairs. Alice then came downstairs with her hair up in a Bun.

'She looked beautiful as usual' I thought to myself. She wore a Black Lace Top with black fishnet tights and Knee high Black Boots with a slight heel.

"Mum, what if he doesn't like me or want me as his mate?, what do we do?", she asked.

"Well what we do is make sure he falls in love with you, I can always do a love spell on him", Mum said.

"Mum that's dangerous, I don't want any love spell put on him, let's just see what happens first", she said.

"Anyway it's time to go", Scarlett said.

We didn't need any transportation at all, all we did was teleport to the meeting point which was in the tree's of the Pack Grounds. We arrived with ten minutes to spare.

Laurence's POV

7.30pm couldn't come quicker, I put on Blue jeans and a black vest top on with my black boots, my hair had gel on it to hold it in place.

I then made my way down the stairs and out the front door, when my parents mind-linked me and told me that guards weren't too far behind me if I need them to just mind-link them and they would be there instantly.

So I walked in amongst the tree's and knew someone was there, there was a sweet scent that made me look into a young girl's eyes.

'She looked beautiful, prettier than any of the she-wolves at school', I thought.

Then Scarlett suddenly appeared next to her daughter and saw the look on my face and laughed.

"What's so funny?", I said.

"I knew you would look like that as if she were the most beautiful thing on the planet", Scarlett replied.

'Thing is she wasn't wrong, she was gorgeous, red hair, blue eyes and red lipstick to match her hair' I thought.

"So now what?, I said.

"Now talk to her, she was excited to meet you, wasn't you Alice?", Scarlett replied.

"Yes mum, I was. It's lovely to meet you", Alice replied whilst holding out her hand to shake mine.

"Nice to meet you too", I said with a slight smile. While shaking her hand in return.

Scarlett then said to me, "what are you waiting for?, I bought a blanket so you two can sit down and talk, I'll be back in two hours", she said and I noticed she winked at Alice before disappearing.
