Chapter 1 Episode One - News

Lisa's POV

With his one hand still planted on the window, he suddenly grabbed my waist with the other hand.

My hand instinctively flew to his chest to push him away. "Felix what are you doing in my room?. What if someone sees you h.." His lip crashed into mine before I could complete the sentence.

As I pushed harder against his hard chest, his arm tightened more around my waist while his other one moved to hold the base of my head.

His lip were soft and he kissed me with urgency. My body pathetically gave up the fight and started to melt into his. I could feel him smile with satisfaction against my lips before he went back to kissing me.

My hands moved up his chest and wrapped around his neck. I moaned softly. I never knew that I have missed him this much. My body seemed to want more as my arms pulled tighter and I stood on tip toes to get closer to him if that were possible.

Just then, we heard a knock on the door. Felix pulled back as I quickly opened my eyes, breathing heavily. "I told you that someone might come in, what are we going to do now?" I whispered.

The knock came again. " Quickly, hide somewhere I will go and check who it is" I advised. I cleared my throat and walked to the door, hoping it's not my mum or I will be dead.

I pushed open the door to behold Jessica, our house keeper. "Hi. Jesse" I chuckled.

"Hi. Your mum wants you downstairs now"

I felt my heart missed a beat, could it be that mum saw Felix when he was climbing up the wall to my room?. I shook off the scary thought and nooded positively. Jessica gave me a warm smile before walking away.

I shut the door and hurried to where I left Felix but he wasn't there. I looked at the window, it was opened. He was gone without even saying a goodbye. I sighed disappointedly and made to leave when my eyes fell on a white envelope on my bedside table.

Filled with curiosity, I picked up the envelope and on it was inscribed "A letter for my love, Lisa" . My cheek turned pink as I recited the sentence again. I sat down on the bed as I reminsced on all my memories with Felix. He is the first man I fell in love with and is the only person that has truly loved me for who I am.

"Lisa" My dad yelled, bringing me out of my thoughts. Oh my gosh! I almost forgot that they were waiting for me downstairs. I quickly pushed the letter under my pillow and hurried downstairs.

Mum was seated on the couch while dad trodded tro and fro the large foyer. As soon as they heard some approaching footsteps, they turned to me.

"What took you so long?" Dad growled. I swallowed hard as I thought of a better reply. Mum hurried over to where I stood and slowly dragged me to the couch.

"Sit down here" She gestured. I nooded and sat down sheepishly. I don't know what it is but I had a bad feeling about whatever I was about to hear. For a moment, the foyer went quiet as mum and dad exchanged glances. Probably, waiting for the other person to speak up first.

Dad was the first to talk, he cleared his throat as he turned to me wearing a serious look. "Lisa, I don't know how you would see this but we're happy to announce to you that we've found a perfect match for you."

I raised my eyebrows in disbelief. " Huh?"

" You'll be getting engaged and married to Andrew Morris in the next three days" Dad repeated.

I blinked my eyes as I let out a loud laugh. I know they are trying to be funny but I find this joke to be a very expensive one. I stopped laughing when I noticed that they were still wearing a serious face.

" Mum?" I called out, maybe expecting her to tell me that my dad was just pulling my legs.

She stood up from her seat and sat down beside me on the couch. "Look darling, I know it's too sudden and unexpected but it's for your own good. Andrew is a good man and I'm sure he will take care of you. Moreover, he is from a rich family and will be a good help to our company" She took my hand in hers as she softly spoke.

I snatched away my hand from hers as I stood to my feet. " What are you guys even saying? That I should get married to a stranger whom I don't even know because you want him to help you out with your company?" I repeated, trying to make sure that my ears weren't playing games with me.

" Something like that" Dad shrugged.

I let out a sarcastic laugh. "Okay, I will just walk back to my room right now and act like this never happened" I forced a smile and turned to leave but dad stopped me.

" How dare you try to turn your back on us now that we need you?" Dad growled, making me flinch. " Let me remind you in case you have forgotten that, I and my family picked you up from the trenches and took care of you when your family abandoned you. We adopted you and gave you a name."

" George" Mum muttered.

" No. Don't try to stop me this time." Dad warned and turned to me again. " My company is about folding up, I have lost all my investors and the only way to recover from this mess is your marriage to Andrew. This is your opportunity to pay back the favor and you will willingly do it or I won't hesitate to make your life miserable." Dad said through gritted teeth.

" Hana, make her understand" He added before walking away.

An invisible knife immediately stabbed my heart and twisted it. I gasped at the pain as my hand gripped my chest tightly. I froze, my feet rooted to the spot as the long forgotten memories came rushing in like a flood. I didn't know how long I stood there, maybe 10 seconds, 10 minutes. It took some time for me to find my voice.

"Mum" I whispered. She walked up to me. "I.. I.. don't want to get married to him"

Chapter 2 Episode two - Broken

Lisa's POV

The George's family had picked me up from their waste bin - which apparently means that my birth mother threw me away like I was nothing. She stucked me into a waste bin and had left me to die.

The George's gave me hope. They gave me a name and clothed me. Although they don't spare any opportunity to remind me of my background but I was still grateful that they took me in.

Sometimes, I assist the helpers with the house chores and laundry after returning from my classes while Jane George - my sister, keeps on jumping from one club to another and spending lavishly on clothes and shoes.

"You don't have a choice Lisa. I can never stand and watch all that I have gathered for years slip out of my hand. You have to do this Lisa "

" Ask me of anything mum, ask me of anything. But don't force me to get married to someone whom I don't know. How can I spend my life with a stranger whom I don't even love " I cried.

" Who said you are going to spend your life with him? " She asked with a smirk on her face. I raised my face with curiosity clearly written on it.

" I'm sending you over to Andrew house not as his wife but my spy." She dropped the bombshell. " You will win his trust, relay his business plans to us and make him transfer his properties to you. The moment he does that, then you kill him" She said coldly.

My eyes widened in shock and my jaws dropped. " Did you just say I should kill someone?" I asked.

"It's very easy baby. A drop of poison in his drink would do the magic and you will be free again. "

I gasped as I stared blankly at the monster standing before me. Is this the woman that I have always referred to as my mum? No. This can't be. I slowly retraced my steps backwards.

" I hate you all" I spat out hatefully as I turned and ran. I didn't bother changing my casual wear, I just ran out of the building. My eyes blurred and I couldn't tell who it was, I just passed but it didn't matter

I thought I heard someone call out my name but I didn't stop. My feet wouldn't let me stop. I ran down the street. I couldn't tell how many buildings I ran past but finally my tired legs stopped.

I crumbled to the floor as I started sobbing. What have I done to deserve all this? Why is it so hard to be loved? I thought I have found a new family, I thought I had found a new mum who would shower me with all the love in this world. But I was wrong, they all pretended to care for me because they wanted to use me. I was nothing but a tool to them.

The noises from the on passing vehicles weren't helping my mental state either. I covered my ears as I cried the more. I will rather die than to kill anyone.

I stood to my feet, dried my puffy eyes and blindly walked into the busy street. I heard a blaring horn in my ears, sending quick waves to my brain. I felt dizzy and weak. I forced a smile as I fell to the floor.

"It's a lady sir. She is unconscious" I heard someone say.

" Hello. Hello. Open your eyes. You can't die, you can't make me the cause of your death" I heard another voice say while shaking my already tired body, vigorously.

I slowly opened my eyes a bit. I couldn't see clearly but I managed to see deep blue eyes staring at me with worry. I could only conclude that he can't possibly be a human, but a demon.

"Please don't save me. Just let me die" I muttered before slipping into unconsciousness.

But unfortunately, this request of mine wasn't granted. My savior took care of me and took me back home. I don't know how he did it but I opened my eyes to see myself lying down on my bed with my parents staring angrily at me.

Looks like even death has rejected me. It's my fate to live a miserable life and I had no choice than to accept it.

"Fine. I will get married to whomever you want me to. I will do your wishes but let me make one thing clear - After this, I owe none of you any favour. This would act as your payment for taking care of me. I will leave your lives and never to return" I said coldly.

They both paused. I turned to look at them, probably hoping that they would stop me or maybe, tell me not to leave.

" If you want to leave then go ahead but you must make sure you complete your mission" Dad coldly replied.

I sighed disappointedly. Mum didn't say anything, which means that she is in support of her husband. I closed my eyes as I tried to stop the tears from dropping. I don't want to cry anymore, I am tired.

They both turned to leave but I stopped them. " Please I just want to ask a question that has been bothering me for a while" I muttered and they turned to look at me. " For once, did you guys ever saw me as your daughter? Even for a day?" I choked.

Dad didn't say anything rather he walked out of my room.

" Take a rest Lisa. Tomorrow will be a busy one. " Mum forced a smile and followed suit.

I brought my knees up to my chin and hugged them tightly as I sobbed into myself. They sounded ragged and broken even to my own ears.

After a while, my eyes hurt so much that I couldn't cry anymore. They were so puffy that I didn't think they will go down for days. I fell back on the bed again as I stared at the ceiling.

Suddenly, my body felt all the abuses it had received from me since yesterday. My legs hurt from all the running, my eyes hurts from all the crying, my head hurts from all the thinking. I closed my eyes to give my mental and physical state a rest.

Chapter 3 Married

Lisa's POV

I watched as he descended down the stairs egoistically, carrying his shoulders up perfectly, his thick black hair shone brightly beneath the light of the chandelier, his flawless skin seem to be the most graceful thing in his body, but when i beheld his face, i was forced to rebuke myself for thinking that in the first place.

Seeing his small heart-shaped lips, the sudden urge to explore it rushed through me, but that is going to be the biggest mistake of my life. My eyes traveled to his pointed nose and i couldn't help the goosebumps that popped up on my skin. I watched every step he took, the ground he walks on, praising him gracefully for touching them, and as he finally got to my front, that was when i got a better view of his deep blue eyes, and I froze on the spot.

*Heck! It reminds me of the blue eyes that I saw that night *

He clicked his fingers bringing me out of my thoughts.

"I told you to run away. How dare you show up here?" He spoke with his jaw locked and only his lip moved.

"Why should I run away? We're going to get married and there is nothing you nor I can do about it" I snarled with a fake smile.

Andrew's POV

"Do you accept Andrew Marvin's to be your lawfully wedded husband?" I heard the priest say.

" Yes. I do" She quickly replied.

I gazed at the strange young woman standing in front of me. She had an oval face and a burnished complexion. Her brown shadowed hair was packed in a ponytail and beautifully designed with silver beads and stones. She had a blonde make up which looked more like that of a bride.

And yes, you can say she is beautiful and her smile too. But there was something wrong with her eyes, they looked sad but amazingly, she was still putting on a happy countenance.

Why is this woman so desperate to get married to me even when she doesn't want to? And to think that she was chosen by my stepmom makes this marriage more suspicious.

"Andrew! Andrew" I heard a familiar voice say, bringing me out of my thoughts. I turned to see my grand pa staring at me with anger clearly written on his face.

The room looked so quiet and tense.Have I done something wrong?

The marriage was a simple one. It was done in a very small chapel few metres away from where we lived with just Grandpa, Eva, Katherine, Hana and some important personnels from our company and a few business partners.

"I will ask for the third time, Andrew do you take Lisa Dani to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest said.

Lisa Dani?

My eyes fell on Grand pa's face which was keenly fixed on me with worry clearly written on it. I'm sure he is scared that I might change my mind and probably bring shame to his reputable family.

I would have gladly done just that but I couldn't because my shares and properties is at stake. He had promised to transfer my shares six months after I get married. Moreover, he is the one who cared for me after the mysterious death of my parents and this is the only way I can make him happy.

"Yes I do" I muttered, coldly and I heard some group of people heave out a deep sigh of relief.

"With the power vested on me, I declare you both husband and wife" The priest announced. "You can now kiss the bride"

Kiss the bride? This priest must be joking. I scoffed.

I was about to leave the altar when a hand suddenly held mine causing me to stop. Lisa took off her veil, revealing her pretty face.

Before I could say anything, she cupped my face and smashed her lip on mine causing my eyes to widened in shock. It was a brief one but I could swear that her lip was very soft and tasted like strawberry.

She gave me a tight lipped smile and walked outside dragging me along. I kept on staring at her wondering what the heck just happened.

As soon as we got to where our beautifully designed car was parked, I shook her hand off mine.

"What the heck was that in there?" I fired.

" What exactly honey? I don't understand what you are saying" She replied with an innocent smile.

If she keeps on smiling like this, I will end up strangling her. How can she still act to be happy when it's obvious that she was also forced to get married to me.

" Are you trying to be dumb or you are actually dumb?" I scowled and her smile turned into a frown. Exactly what I wanted. "I am obviously talking about the kiss. What made you think you have the right to kiss me?"

" Oh that. I am now your wife, remember?. Moreover, It's a mutual something. We both enjoyed it" She smiled again.

I scoffed. The effrontery! We both enjoyed it? Is she kidding me.

Before I could say anything, she suddenly hooked her arms around my neck. "What do you think honey? No one is watching, should we give it a try again" She winked at me and I almost puked.

"Are you doing this on purpose to piss me off?" I asked with furrowed brows.

" Aww.. How can you guys be so shameless? Are you that desperate to be with each other" Hana suddenly interrupted. Lisa quickly let go of me as I cleared my throat awkwardly.

"They can't wait to be with each other. It's so sweet watching young ones in love" Eva added and they both burst out laughing.

Young ones in love? These two witches are the mastermind behind this marriage even after knowing that we don't like ourselves.

"Congratulations son. I wish you guys a happy married life. Do take care of your wife" Eva, my stepmom faked a smile, arranging my tie.

" Don't you dare touch me" I said through gritted teeth and roughly pushed her away. She almost stumbled but a hand caught her. It was grandfather.

Lisa and Hana gasped.

"And you, I still don't understand why you would get your daughter married to a man whom you are fully aware doesn't love her. Is that the way mothers behave now? " I snapped at Hana.

I was so pissed off and angry that I barely paid attention to the eyes which kept on stealing glances at our direction. But unfortunately, they were not able to get a good glimpse because grandpa's bodyguards tried to make it look like we were having a family's last reunion, more like where the bride is crying and refusing to leave her parents..

"Have you lost your mind Andrew? Is this the way to treat your elder?" Grandpa growled.

Before I could say anything, Katherine suddenly appeared from nowhere and hugged me .

" Congratulations brother. I am so happy for you" She giggled.

I let out a deep breath.

She broke from the hug and shot grandpa a stare. " Why are you all ganging up against my brother? Can't you see that he is stressed out already?"

" Are you kidding me? Did you just take his side over mine?" Eva cried.

" No more arguments. My brother and his wife will be leaving now, I won't take it lightly with anyone who would dare to stop them" She said with finality in her voice.

This is what keeps on attracting me to the young lady no matter how much I want to hate her; her boldness and ability to calm everyone down whenever she appears.

The driver pressed a button and the car's door pulled open. Katherine gestured for me to get in with a bow, smiling. "Please get in, your royal majesty"

"Silly" I smiled and playfully pinched her nose before getting into the car. Lisa followed suit, the driver ignited the engine and zoomed off.
