Chapter 1 No.1

Stephanie's POV:

The entire room pulsed with the beat of the music, every surface vibrating with the energy of the crowd. Strobe lights flashed in time with the bass, casting the dance floor in bursts of bright white and shadow. The DJ's beats rolled out in waves, each drop hitting like a pulse, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

"Excuse me," I muttered, weaving through the sweaty bodies pressed too close for comfort. The air was thick with heat and the unmistakable smell of alcohol, everyone lost in the rhythm, grinding and swaying like they were hypnotized.

I finally reached the bar, gripping its edge for balance. "Where is the restroom?" I asked, my voice slurring slightly. The bartender didn't even glance my way, too busy mixing drinks for the endless stream of customers.

"Hello? Didn't you hear me?" I repeated louder this time, but I still didn't get his attention.

Frustrated, I tossed my purse onto the counter with an audible thud, and that got his attention. He stared at me with a questioning gaze.

"I need to pee," I whispered.

"I can't hear you," he shouted.

Before I could repeat myself, I felt a hand around my waist. I turned, relieved to see Claire, my best friend and practically my sister, standing beside me.

"Don't worry; I will take you," she said, her voice cutting through the chaos. "You shouldn't be wandering alone when you're drunk,"

"I'm not drunk," I protested.

"Sure, Steph," she replied. "I don't have the strength to argue with you right now," she said. She guided me towards the restroom, her grip firm as if she knew I might stumble off course. Once we got there, she pushed me inside and shut the door behind me.

I was at the sink, washing my hands, when the door creaked open behind me.

"Claire, seriously, I'm fine," I called out, assuming it was her checking on me yet again. But the silence that followed was unnerving. Claire was never this quiet.

"Claire?" I asked, turning around-only to find a complete stranger standing there. It was not just a stranger but a man. My stomach dropped. What the hell was a man doing in the lady's restroom? Well, that I didn't want to find out. My instincts screamed at me to leave immediately. This was creepy.

Without saying a word, I tried to walk past him, but his hand shot out, grabbing my wrist in a vice-like grip. Panic surged through me as the reality of the situation sank in. I was actually in real danger.

"Let go of me," I yelled, twisting and pulling against his hold, but his grip only tightened.

"Claire! Help!" My voice cracked as I screamed, but the music outside drowned out my cries. No one was coming.

"Don't waste your breath," he said, his voice a low, menacing growl. "No one can hear you. They're too busy partying to care."

He locked the door behind him, and my heart hammered in my chest. I could barely stand as he stepped closer, his imposing frame blocking any chance of escape.

I lashed out, kicking at him, but he anticipated my every move and dodged effortlessly. His hand clamped around my neck, squeezing just enough to make me gasp for air.

"Don't piss me off, slut," he snarled, shoving me backward. My head hit the edge of the sink, pain exploding in my skull. Tears blurred my vision as his fingers tangled in my hair, yanking my head back until I was forced to look at him.

"Be a good girl, and this will be over quickly," he hissed, his breath hot against my face. "No one needs to get hurt."

Terror coursed through me as he bent closer, his nose brushing against my neck. I scrunched my nose in disgust because he reeked of alcohol. "You smell so fucking good, bitch," he murmured, and bile rose in my throat.

His hands went to my thighs, caressing them before they found a way to my panties, tearing them away and smacking my ass. I have heard stories about girls being assaulted in clubs, but I didn't know I would one day be one of those girls.

"Please don't do this," I begged, my voice trembling. But he turned me forcefully, making me back him.

Before I knew what was going on, something hard was pressing against my ass. I didn't need a seer to tell me what it was.

A surge of adrenaline washed through me, and I felt a rush of strength in me. No, I wouldn't allow myself to be violated by this stranger. I started struggling. I fought back with everything I had-kicking, clawing, and thrashing-but he was too strong. His weighty body pinned me in place, his member pressing harder against me. I felt utterly powerless.

He yanked my hair back, and I felt an excruciating pain making me be still.

"Since you want to be a bad bitch, I would not go easy on you," he said, increasing the hold on my hair.

"Claire! Help!" I yelled, and my actions made him grab my breast, pinching my nipples hard, and I screamed in pain.

"Shut the fuck up, bitch," he yelled, pushing his member against my ass.

"Fuck, this feels amazing," he groaned, and at that moment, I knew I couldn't do anything again. I closed my eyes, resigning myself to my fate.

A loud thud and a startled yell from the stranger whose grip on me finally broke made me open my eyes, and I turned immediately to see what was going on.

The restroom door was on the floor, and the stranger was groaning in pain beside the water system, which was now broken into pieces. A man in a black coat was dragging him up, and the stranger was pleading for his life.

"You bastard," the man cursed, sending him blows. I could only see the back of this man, but the kind of dangerous and cold aura emanating from him was enough to tell me that I shouldn't be here.

The stranger might have gotten himself into trouble with someone that shouldn't be messed with, and I was glad he did. Whatever was going on here was none of my business. I knew I had to be on my heels, but for some reason, I found myself transfixed at the spot. Something in me wanted to see this stranger.

I heard the clicking of a gun, making my blood run cold. Before I could process what was going on, the gun fired. The sound was deafening, and when it was over, the stranger lay motionless in a pool of his own blood.

I stared at the scene, frozen in place. My heart pounded so loudly I could barely hear my own thoughts. I just witnessed a murder.

There was only one thing on my mind at the moment. Run!

At that moment, the man turned, and I felt the air leave my lungs. His eyes, glowing an unnatural shade of red, locked onto mine before shifting to a piercing shade of blue. What the hell was that?

"Stephanie Mikaelson, right?" He pulled me out of my thoughts in the most intoxicating voice I've ever heard, but this was not the right time to think about something like that. The only thing I could think of was how this dangerous man knew my name. I didn't need anyone to tell me that I had landed myself from frying pan to fire.

"You've got the wrong person," I stammered, desperate to escape. "I'm Nora Roberts." Without waiting for a response, I bolted for the door, only to slam into something solid.

I looked up, and my stomach dropped. It was him-again.

"Nora Roberts?" he whispered, his voice laced with sarcasm. "But this picture here says you're Stephanie Mikaelson." He said, showing me a picture of me, my name clearly written across the bottom, and I gasped in shock. "I'm sorry, baby girl, we got the right person," he added.

Wait, but how did he manage to get here immediately?

I glanced back to be sure, but I was wrong. The other guy was inside the restroom, staring at me with a blank expression. There was only one explanation. They are twins. Two devil twins after me, now that's one hell of a trouble, but I knew one thing. I wasn't going down again.

"Go to hell!" I yelled, kicking him on his groin, and he fell on his knees. I used that opportunity to run, hitting the fire alarm on my way.

I mixed into the crowd, who were now running helter skelter, trying to save themselves from the unknown fire. I didn't have the time to look for my friends; I had to save myself first from these devil twins after me.

Chapter 2 No.2

Stephanie's POV:

When I got outside the club, I hopped into a cab.

"Where to?" The driver asked.

"Anywhere, just get me out of here," I replied, but he didn't budge.

"I will pay triple," I said, and he put the key in the ignition, driving away from the club.

I would have told the driver to take me to my house, but it wasn't a good idea. These men knew my name, and it won't be a shock if they knew where I lived too, so going home wasn't a good idea.

I relaxed my head on the chair, but my thoughts were filled with the events of today. I couldn't help but wonder who those men were and why they were after me.

Did they think I was affiliated with that bastard who tried to rape me earlier? What the hell was going on in my life? Why was I suddenly having bad luck? First was my mother showing up yesterday after ten years of being away from me and telling me to move in with her in her new husband's house; second was that bastard trying to rape me; then these twins.

"Young lady, these cars have been following us since," the driver's words caught my attention.

"What?"

I turned immediately and saw two cars behind us. I gritted my teeth knowing it was them and they were catching up to us. It suddenly felt like the driver was driving slowly, and it made me impatient.

"Please step on the accelerator," I cried.

"What kind of trouble have you gotten yourself into? You should get down before you get me killed," he said, parking the car. He stepped out of the car, walked over to my side, opened the door, and dragged me outside.

"No, don't do this. Please," I pleaded.

"My whole family is depending on me. I can't get myself killed. You can keep your money," he said, entering his car and driving away.

"No!" I screamed.

I wanted to fall on the ground and weep, but I couldn't-not now. I had to save myself first. My heart pounded as I glanced behind me. The two cars were closing in fast. Panic surged through me like a tidal wave. Without thinking, I yanked off my heels and started running, barefoot and frantic, the sharp pavement biting into my feet. The freezing night did nothing to help as the icy breeze whipped against me.

A black SUV screeched infront of me , blocking my path. I turned around, only to see the two cars closing in behind me boxing me in like a trapped animal. I pivoted to my left, hoping to escape down another road, but another car skidded into place, cutting me off.

That was it. There was no way out. My chest heaved as I stood there, defeated, my hands on my hips, waiting for the worst to happen.

One of the car doors creaked open, and the twins from earlier stepped out, approaching me.

"Who the hell are you both, and what do you want with me?" I demanded, my voice trembling more than I'd like to admit.

"I think the question should be, 'Who are we, and what do we want from you?" A deep, commanding voice cut in through the tension, like a knife, making me freeze. My head snapped toward the source. Three more emerged from the shadows, walking towards me with an unsettling calmness that made my stomach churn.

"I'm Tyler Salvador," the man in the center said, his tone cold and authoritative. His presence alone sent a shiver down my spine.

"Nicholas, Alex Salvador," the twins from introduced themselves in unison, their voices eerily similar.

"Aiden and Caden Salvador," the other two added, their expressions unreadable.

Tyler stepped closer, his eyes locking onto mine. "We're your step brothers," he said, his words Landing like a punch to my gut. "And we're here to take you home.

Stepbrothers? Home? The words ricocheted through my mind, hollow and meaningless.

Everything started clicking into place, the pieces fitting together in a way that made me feel sick. My mom, of course, this had her fingerprints all over it. I knew she had plenty of flaws, but sending these men- these strangers- to kidnap me? This was a new low, even for her.

Before I could say anything, Alex moved faster than I could react. He pressed a white handkerchief over my nose and mouth. The sharp sickly- sweet scent of chemicals hit me instantly. My instincts screamed at me to fight, to claw, to scream but my body betrayed me. My limbs felt heavy, my vision blurred, and the world started to tilt.

"Done. Now let's go back to Moonsdale," Alex said flatly, his voice the last thing I heard before the darkness overwhelmed me.

Chapter 3 No.3

Stephanie's POV:

I groaned softly, stirring from the bed. My eyelids fluttered as a sharp beam of sunlight landed squarely on my face. At first, I tried to fight it, squeezing my eyes shut tighter, but the stubborn rays seemed intent on pulling me from sleep.

Reluctantly, I cracked one eye open, only to be greeted by an unfamiliar ceiling, high and painted and immaculate white. Alarm prickled at the back of my mind, but before I could process it, movement caught my eye.

A figure stood by the window, silhouetted by the golden morning light. A girl, dressed in a crisp black and white uniform, was pulling the curtains open. The sunlight flooded the room, illuminating furniture I didn't recognize-an ornate dresser, a plush armchair in the corner, and the edges of a large canopy bed I was lying in.

This wasn't my room.

Panic began to rise in my chest, sharp and suffocating. My breaths came quickly as I sat up, clutching the unfamiliar sheets to my chest. The events of the night before began to unravel in my mind like a sinister thread.

The club. The stranger who tried to take advantage of me, lying in his own pool of blood. The devil twin holding a gun in his hand. His eyes glowing red, then suddenly shifting to a piercing shade of blue. The cars that were chasing me. The dangerous-looking men introducing themselves as my stepbrothers.

Tyler, Alex, Nicholas, Aiden, and Caden.

The darkness that enveloped me after Alex had pressed a white handkerchief on my face. Then nothing.

Nothing until now.

My heart thundered in my chest as my eyes darted around the room, searching for anything familiar, anything that could ground me but there was nothing. Just the sterile perfection of a place that wasn't mine.

I shot up from the bed, my bare feet hitting the cold, polished floor with a thud. That got the lady's attention. The lady turned to face me.

"You're awake, ma'am," she said in a tiny voice. I didn't say anything as I stared at her with a blank expression on my face. Judging from her looks, she was my age mate, or rather, younger than me, so hearing her call me ma'am irked me.

"Good morning, ma'am," she continued, bowing her head slightly. "I'm Nora Roberts, your personal maid."

Her name rang a distant bell, but I didn't care enough to dwell on it. There were far more pressing matters at hand.

"First of all, my name is Stephanie, not ma'am," I snapped, my tone sharper than intended. "Secondly, where am I?"

Her expression didn't falter, though I caught the briefest flicker of unease in her eyes. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but I can't answer your question. I was instructed strictly not to give you any information requested from you aside from my name."

Her words lit a fire of frustration in my chest, and I clenched my fists, forcing myself to stay calm.

"Okay, you can go now," I said, trying so hard not to lose control and lash out at her. She wasn't the right person to direct my anger towards. Clearly, she was just doing her job.

"Your mother said you should shower....

"My mother is here?" I cut in, and she nodded. "Yes, ma'am,"

I didn't know what I felt at that point, but hell, I knew I couldn't wait to see her. She's got to explain herself.

"She said you should change into that dress." I followed her gaze and saw a beautiful white dress, adorned with silver patterns, hanging on the wardrobe. I hadn't noticed it before. "Then join the family downstairs for a family dinner. She said to be on your best behavior," the maid added, and I scoffed.

Unbelievable. She has the effrontery to kidnap me and tell me how to behave for her family dinner. She must be delusional.

"The family dinner, which is starting by 8 am, and it's 8:30 am right now." Her voice pulled me out of my reverie.

Not sparing the maid a glance, I stormed out of the room.

"Ma'am!" She called after me, but I didn't stop in my tracks. I was really angry and lashing out at my mom-the perpetrator of everything is what is going to calm me down.

"Mum!" I shouted, my voice echoing through the grand walls. My surroundings were opulent-golden accents, polished floors, and towering ceilings-but I was too furious to care.

"Excuse me," I stopped a passing maid. "Where is the dining room?"

"Just downstairs, when you go through that door," she replied.

"Thanks," I said before walking through the big golden door she showed me. I walked down the corridor. When I looked down from upstairs, I could see the big living room, which was furnished richly. I could tell about how this house was massive and probably the best house I've ever seen in my life, but I didn't have that time. I had other things in my mind.

I descended the massive staircase.

"Stephanie," I heard my name, and I turned to see my mother, who had a smile on her face. Of course, she was looking so good, like I saw her days ago. Her hair perfectly styled, her designer dress pristine. Her husband must be taking good care of her.

"I'm so glad you're here," she said, trying to hug me, but I stepped back before she could.

"Don't you ever touch me," I hissed.

Her smile faltered, replaced by a flicker of pain.

"I'm sorry for bringing you here in that manner....

"In that manner, do you mean kidnapping me?" I cut in.

"I know it was wrong," she admitted. "But I had no choice. I know I haven't been a good mother to you for a long time, and no explanation of mine is going to make sense now, but I'm trying to make things right now. That's all that matters."

"Well, that is not all that matters to me. You can't just show up and disrupt my life because you chose to make things right. I have a family now, and I want to go back to them. I will forget that this ever happened if you just take me back home," I said to her.

Her expression hardened. "I'm sorry, but you can't go back to that life. This is your life now."

Her words hit me like a slap. "Oh yes, I can!" I yell loudly, and she flew, clashing into the dining table, which flew apart with a deafening crash, shards of glass raining down on my mother. What the hell happened?

"Mum!" I screamed, rushing to her side. My heart pounded as I knelt beside her, shaking her gently. Blood trickled from a cut on her forehead. No matter what she does, she is still my mother. The only living relative I had. I didn't want anything bad to happen to her.

She moved, and I heaved a sigh of relief. With my help, she stood up, groaning in pain.

Her gaze landed on me. I couldn't read her expression, but for some unknown reason, I could read through her mind. I could tell just by looking at her that she was being sincere when she apologized and said she wanted to make things right. I felt safe with her.

What was going on with me? Maybe I was just thinking too much. Right?

"Happy birthday, Steph," she pulled me out of my thoughts.

I had even forgotten that today was my birthday.

"What happened here?" A familiar voice cut in, and I turned to see them again.

Tyler, Alex, Nicholas, Aiden, and Caden.

Their gazes burned into me; this time around, it wasn't a dangerous gaze from yesterday night but a gaze filled with desire. Their eyes were shimmering with something primal, something I couldn't explain. I felt my knees become weak, and my pussy became wet just by their stare.
