29 Days With The Devil's Son

Ava sat on a chair in her room with a sad face. She was sweating profusely dew to the struggle she had with the new dress her aunt bought for her.

Her hips were big and her cleavages were exposed. " This dress is tight." Ava muttered to herself as she stood up and walk to the mirror.

Just then, her aunt walked in and handed a shoe to her. " Put them on, I will be back." She said and walk out again.

Ava looked at the shoes. They marched the colour of her dress, and there's shiny beats around it, adding more to it beauty.

She put on the shoes and got up, to check out herself on the mirror again.

" Wonderful!" She exclaimed. " I look like a princess."

" Are you done?" Her aunt walked in and she turned to her immediately.

" Yes aunt!" Replied Ava. " But what is so special about today? You've never been like this with me before." Ava said In surprise.

" I am happy that you grow fast Ava." Her aunt began. " You see....." She drawled. " One day I won't be in this business again, and you will be the one to take charge of it." She paused to read her reaction. Then continued.

" You can't waste this......" She grabbed her shoulder and turned her around. " Figure of yours. You have to put it into use." She concluded.

" I don't understand aunt." Said Ava, confused.

" You will understand when we reach outside." Said her aunt. " Come with me, he's waiting for you." She added.

" He is waiting for me? What do you mean by he's waiting for me Aunt?" She asked.

Her Aunt sighed and stared at her for a while before answering her question.

" Do you remember what I told you last night?" She asked.

" Which.....Oh!" She exclaimed in surprise. "Yes I do. But Aunt......"

" There's no but Ava. You think everything I did was for free? The clothes I bought for you, the food you eat, the....... I am tired of feeding you Ava. It is time for my reward." She said angrily. " Except you'll pay for all my expenses, here and now."

" But I don't have the money Aunt. I'll pay you when I have enough mo......" Ava was interrupted.

" I don't have time for promises!" The woman yelled and stretched out her hand towards her. " I need it now!"

Ava couldn't control her tears as she allowed it to fall freely from her eyes. She's heartbroken.

" I don't- I don't have it." She said almost in a whisper.

" Then follow me. Don't keep him waiting." Her Aunt said and walked out angrily.

" Why me?" Ava asked herself as she tried to wipe her tears. She had no other choice than to oblige. Few minutes later, she joined her Aunt.

When they reached the sitting room, a young handsome man was seen sitting on a chair. He seemed to be enjoying himself as he kept his eyes fixed on the TV.

Ava's Aunt cleared her throat and sat down, in other to draw his attention. The young man turned to her, and immediately his eyes darted to Ava, who was stepping down from the stairs.

" Good day sir." Ava greeted as she stood beside her aunt, but the man seemed lost staring at the beauty before him. He couldn't say a word.

" Ava please sit down." Her aunt instructed and reluctantly, Ava sat down beside her.

She wasn't comfortable with the way the stranger was staring at her.

" Mister Arthur." Her aunt called and the young man seemed startled.

" Yes! I'm......" He drawled and chuckled. " I mean....she's good." He complemented.

" Yeah! I told you." Said Ava's aunt with a smile on her face as she glanced at Ava.

" Here." Her aunt said handing the paper to him. " 29 days right?" She asked.

" Yes." Arthur replied as he took the book from her.

" You will surely like her." Her aunt assured. " She's very tight." She added and he chuckled.

While the man was signing the paper, Ava drew closer to her Aunt and tried to whisper some words to her, but she prevented her.

" Shhhh....." Her Aunt cautioned and she quickly stood upright.

Arthur finished signing the paper and returned it to her Aunt. " Sign here." Her aunt directed Ava to do the same.

Ava signed the paper and her aunt signed as well as a witness. " Thank you very much Mister Arthur." Said her Aunt.

" You're welcome ma'am." Arthur replied. " She's ready now right?" He asked.

" Sure she is." Her Aunt replied.

Arthur stood up and hand her Aunt an envelope. " Have this in the meantime." He said.

" Oh! Thank you." Said the woman as she received the offer, with a wild smile on her face.

" Let's go." Arthur said to Ava.

" Huh!" The lady widened her eyes.

" Go with him and make sure you're a good girl." Her aunt advised.

Ava drew closer to her and whispered into her ears, " Aunt, I don't even know him."

" Shhh......" Her Aunt cautioned again. "When you reach there, you will know. Don't keep the young man waiting."

Ava's heart began to beat fast, as she glanced at the man. Yes! He's handsome, but she felt nervous. " Why is Aunt doing this?" That was the question she asked herself as she walked sluggishly to him.

" Thanks." Arthur said to her Aunt.

" You're welcome. Nice doing business with you." Replied the lady.

Arthur took hold of Ava's hand and together they walked out of the house.

As they reached outside, a guard opened the door of the car for them and they went in.

Few minutes later, they drove off.

They alighted from the car as they reached his mansion. It's a large building, decorated with beautiful flowers. Ava was surprised at what she saw.

That's the first time she left her aunt's residence, and she couldn't believe her eyes. It wasn't even compared to what she's been seeing on pictures.

Arthur was already in the sitting room when he realized that Ava didn't follow him.

He turned to one of the guard and said, " Bring her in."

" Yes boss." The guard said and hurried outside. " My lady." The guard said bowing to her. " My boss said I should bring you in. Please follow me."

" My lady?" Ava said within, in shock. " He also bow to me. Goodness!"

" My lady please." The guard said, jolting her out of her thought.

" I'm sorry. Let's go." Ava said and the guard led the way. She followed.

This was another surprise for Ava. The sitting room was more than what she saw earlier outside. Her mouth dropped open as she glanced around the room.

" Are you the owner of this place?" She said staring at Arthur, who's also observing her.

" We don't ask questions here Ava." Arthur said in a deep voice, different from the one he used in the club.

Ava's countenance changed immediately as she nodded sadly.

" Welcome sir." An elderly woman said as she approached them, her hands behind her back. " You sent for me sir." She added, and there's silence in the room afterward.

A man brought a glass and a bottle of drink to him. Arthur took the glass from him, and asked him to pour the drink inside.

The man did as instructed and be turned to the elderly woman with the glass of drink in his hand. " Her name is Ava, and I'm putting her under your care. Make sure you treat her well."

He turned to Ava. " Her name is Elisa, she's your personal maid. Obey and respect her." He paused and drink from the glass. " If you need anything, reach out to her. Do you understand?"

" Yes sir." Ava replied respectfully.

Arthur dropped the glass on the table and walked upstairs. Everyone let out the breath they were holding.

"Come with me miss." Elisa said and walked away. Ava followed.

Elisa opened the door of a room and entered. " Come in." She said to Ava, holding the door ajar. Ava obeyed and went in.

The room was big and beautiful, unlike the one she had at her aunt's place. There's king size bed, a bed side lamp, a dressing mirror, a drawer, a book shelf, etc.

" Is this my room?" Ava asked, but was surprised when Elisa answered. She thought that someone cannot ask questions there, according to what Arthur said earlier.

" Yes." Elisa said. " Feel comfortable. I will be back shortly." She added and walked out.

" Wow!" Ava exclaimed and slumped on the bed. " This is heaven." She said happily. " But what's the purpose of being here?" She asked herself.

The door flung open and Elisa walked in with some dress in her hands. " Go to the room over there, and take a shower." Elisa said pointing a finger at another door, which was still in the room.

" When you're done, you change into this." She concluded and drop the dress on the bed.

" Thank you." Ava said and stood up.

Elisa nod and said, " I will be back shortly." She turned to the door and walked out.

Ava picked the dress to have a clearer look. " So beautiful." She said as she examined it on herself. " Let me take a shower first." She said and head to the bathroom.

Elisa came back with a tray of food in her hand. Ava had already changed up, and was waiting for the next instruction. Elisa placed the food on the table and called her to come over.

Ava stood up from the bed and walked to her. Elisa pulled out a chair for her to sit.

Ava sat down and began to eat, while Elisa stood and watched her.

" Aren't you joining me?" Asked Ava, gazing at her.

" I'm fine miss. Thank you." Elisa said with a smile. " I'll be back shortly, enjoy your food." She said and walked out again.

" Is it because I asked her to join me?" Ava asked herself. " Well, whatever! The food is delicious!" She muttered as she continued eating.

When Elisa returned to the room, Ava was nowhere to be found. " Where could she be?" She said as kept searching for her.

Ava on her part had lost her way. She didn't know how to return to her room anymore after going out.

" This house is big. I can't even recognize the route I came from. This is confusing. How will I return to my room?" She said with a frown on her face.

" Finally!" Elisa said with a sigh of relief as she sighted Ava.

Ava on hearing the voice, turned to the direction immediately. " Oh! Ma'am. Thank goodness!" She said in surprise and happiness.

" I've been searching for you. What are you doing here?" Asked Elisa.

" I just wanted to stroll around. But unfortunately, I lost my way." Replied Ava with a chuckle.

" You should've told me." Said Elisa sternly. " You don't move around here carelessly. There are places which he restrict everyone from going, and this happens to be one of them." Elisa paused and continued after glancing around, to be sure of their safety.

" Let's leave here. I don't want to get into trouble." Elisa said and drag her out of the place.

" But why?" Ava asked, getting scared already.

" I've told you what I know. You're not allow to leave your room, no matter what. You don't know the rules here." She paused and continued again.

" If he wants to see you, he will come over. Or he will send for you. Please obey this instructions, to avoid his anger.

I'm not saying this in order for you to be afraid, but believe me. When he's angry, he turns to something else.

He won't be himself anymore, and can do anything. So please......" She drawled. " Kindly avoid anything that will make him angry. That's the bad side of him." Elisa warned.

As they reached her room. Elisa opened the door and they went in. Ava was scared, and was already thinking of going home, but that's not possible.

She walked to the bed and sat down, lost in thought, while Elisa packed the empty plates of food from the table, in order to take it to the kitchen.

Elisa on noticing her mode, walked to her with the empty tray of food in her hands. " He's cool and nice. But avoid him when he's angry." She said and walk away, heading to the door. She opened it, and walked out.

Ava was curious to know more about him, if only her maid Elisa will open up to her.

" There's something about him, which I'm yet to find out." She thought as she sat up on the bed.

It's morning already. " Good morning miss." Elisa greeted as she entered the room.

" Morning ma'am." Ava replied.

" How's your night?" Elisa asked.

" Hmmm...." Ava drawled. " Nice." She added.

Elisa head to the wardrobe with a bag in her hands. She dropped the bag on floor, and brought out some clothes.

" Hey!" Ava exclaimed as she saw the beautiful dresses. She stood up and head to where Elisa stood. " Are they mine?" She asked.

" Yes miss." Replied Elisa. " It's time for you to take a shower miss." Elisa added.

" That's what I do everyday. Wake up, take a shower, eat, sleep, goodness!" Said Ava. " I don't like it." She frowned and stared at Elisa. " By the way, where's he? I've not seen him for days."

" That's how he is." Elisa said. " I'm sorry, I can't answer your question." She added.

" But." Ava paused. " Do you know the reason why I'm here? I don't seem to understand?" Said Ava, still frowning.

" I can't answer that as well." Elisa said. " The only thing I can tell you is that, you should look good always. You don't know the day he will appear."

" Appear?" Ava furrowed her brow.

" What I mean is that, he can come at anytime. If he sees you in a bad way, he will surely get upset and fire me. Please help me do my job properly." Elisa explained.

" Oh!" Ava exclaimed. " I won't let you lose your job because of me." She said and head to the bathroom.

When she came out, there's a dress on the table for her as usual. She picked it and put on. " Oh! I forgot to ask other questions I had in mind." She said in disappoinment.

" I wish I can have a look of the outside world." She muttered, looking out from the window. All she could see were trees.

" Your breakfast miss." Elisa said and Ava turned around and met her arranging the food on the table.

" Thank you." Said Ava taking a seat. " Can I ask you a question please?" Ava said and looked at Elisa's face.

" Yes please." Said Elisa.

" Can you tell me more about him?" Ava asked.

" My boss?" Elisa asked to confirm.

" Yes. I really wanna know." Said Ava.

" I don't know much about him. All that I know is that he's easily angered, and the sight is not always pure." Elisa replied.

" Ava wasn't satisfied. " Why is she hiding it from me?" She asked herself.

" But he looks strange. His eyes......" She stared at the wall. " His nails....." She continued but Elisa cut her off.

" I'm sorry Miss, I have to leave now. I'll soon be back." Elisa said and walked out, heading to her own room.

She pushed the door open and went in. " You won't get me into trouble Miss Ava." She muttered as she picked a book from the floor and placed it on the table.

" Is she that troublesome?" A deep voice said and she turned immediately. There stood her boss beside the window. But he wasn't there when she got in.

Elisa was not really surprised cause it has happen before.

" Sir." She said with a bow.

" Answer my question." Said Arthur.

" She's not troublesome sir, she's just a funny type." Elisa replied facing the floor. Arthur bites his lips and turned to her.

" I want you to get a doctor for me." He said.

" Alright sir." Elisa replied.

" I'll be waiting in my room." He said and disappeared, appearing in his own room. He pulled a chair and sat down beside the window.

" My Lord." A voice said behind him, but he didn't bother to look back.

" What are you doing here Luna?" Arthur asked.

" You know the reason why I'm here Arthur. Who is she?"

" You don't have the right to address me by my name, I'm your king!" Arthur said angrily.

" To hell with your kingship!" Luna yelled. " I am your partner and you don't have the right to be with anyone else! We were meant to be together." She added angrily.

" Your mother betrayed my father!" Said Arthur, the anger beginning to boil in him.

" You can't placed someone's sin on me. What has to be, has to be." Said Luna. " No one can change it. Not even you."

" We can never be together Luna." Said Arthur, trying to control the anger in him.

" The battle line has been drawn Arthur. No one else has the right to be with you except me." Luna said and Arthur stood up instantly.

His eyes turned red and his nails became longer than before. Luna saw what was coming and was ready to leave, but his powers held her back.

The door flung open and Elisa walked in. Arthur returned to himself again, while Luna disappeared.

" The doctor is here sir." Elisa announced, bowing her head.

" Take him to her room. " He said and turned to face the window. "Tell him to conduct a test on her." He added.

" Alright sir." Elisa said staring at him suspiciously. She quickly turned to the door and walked out. "Something happened." She muttered to herself.

Elisa took the Doctor to Ava's room and the man conducted the test and left.

"What was that for?" Ava asked Elisa after the test was done.

" I don't know." Replied Elisa. " But it's an instruction from my boss." She added.

" Your Boss?" Ava said In surprise. " You've seen him today!" She added.

" A while ago." Elisa replied.

" Where's he? Can I see him?" Asked Ava.

" I'm sorry Miss, you're to remain in your room." She replied. " I will be back soon." Elisa said and walked out.

" When will this end?" Ava muttered unhappily. " It can't continue to be like this." She added.
