Chapter 3 Disappointed

The next day, Daisy woke up first because of a loud knock on the door. "Who is this nuisance?" he complained while rubbing his eyes.

Daisy was about to stand up when she noticed the person next to him. He was completely stunned when he recognized that it was Shaina. After a few minutes, he slowly remembered what he and his friend did last night. But he didn't know how they got to this room. When the knock came again, he shook Shaina's shoulder to wake her up.

"Hmmm..." Shaina muttered and pulled the blanket to cover her face.

He didn't try to wake up his friend anymore. He quickly got off the bed, and maybe the service crew was knocking; the fee there is still expensive. When he opened the door, his eyes widened when he saw the person outside.

"Where is my granddaughter, and what did you do to her?" Cristy angrily asked her granddaughter's gay friend one after another.

Daisy wanted to raise an eyebrow at the old woman's accusing question, but since he had a lot of respect for her, he suppressed his emotion. When he saw Lovely, he was no longer surprised by the old man's exaggeration.

Shaina opened her eyes when she heard the noise, holding her aching head. She didn't want to get up, but she heard the lady speak again.

"Get up from there right now, you lady!"

Shaina jumped up when she recognized the owner of the voice that had disturbed her sleep. Witnessing her grandmother's presence there brought shock to her face.

"I thought you were different from your father! You're going to make a scandal, but why on earth with that gay man?" Cristy angrily picked up the underwear that was on the chair and threw it at her granddaughter.

Daisy quickly approached her friend. He was nervous when he realized that Shaina was not wearing any underwear. "B-besh, did I do something to you last night?" he asked his friend in a whisper.

"No, but I'm not a virgin anymore!" Shaina answered softly so the two wouldn't hear.

Daisy's mouth opened, but he suddenly shut it when his friend's eyes glared at him, and her gaze indicated that she would explain to him later.

"Gosh, why did you flirt with that gay, Shaina? What will the people who know about it say?"

Out of anger, she darts an evil look at Lovely. It was as if she had done nothing wrong with her. And if she reacts, it is as if she is very concerned about what happened.

Daisy's eyes rolled; if the old woman wasn't there, he might have insulted Lovely.

"What are you waiting for? Fix yourself and follow me!" Cristy yelled at her granddaughter and turned away angrily.

Shaina quietly put on the underwear; she washed it last night after she took a shower. But she wondered how her grandmother knew that they spent the night there. Later on, she and Daisy left the room after she got dressed. Their bills were paid, and she knew that her grandmother handled their checkout.

Before completely walking away, Shaina turned around in a room. It's quiet there; the person who occupied it must have left last night.

"Why?" Daisy commented to his friend, who was stunned for a moment.

Shaina quickly shook her head and approached her grandmother, who was waiting in front of the elevator. They were quiet until they got down to the ground floor. She was clinging to her friend's arm when a man in a suit blocked their path.

"What's wrong?" Cristy asked the man.

"Thanks for your cooperation, Madam. Mr. Villanova ordered us to take down the names of those leaving this building."

The aura of Cristy's face softened when she recognized who the man was referring to; Mr. Villanova is a well-known person in the business world. Many wanted to meet him in person, but that man was elusive and did not just talk to anyone. Maybe her granddaughters will do something better in this place. She also showed the man her business card so that he could recognize her. At her age, she is also known as the chairman of the company she owns.

Lovely asked her grandmother out of curiosity. "Grandma, did he mean the hotel's owner?" When the old woman nodded, Lovely mumbled, "Wow."

Shaina was just listening to the conversation between the two. Neither does the old woman pay attention to her, nor can Daisy come closer since her grandmother had forbidden her friend to see her until the scandal had not been resolved.

Shaina was not surprised when she caught up with Rex, her unfaithful ex-boyfriend, at the mansion.

"Rex, I'm really sorry for what my cousin did. I don't know what she ate, and she was able to trade you for a gay man. What's worse is that she squandered the money you intended to spend for your wedding," said Lovely.

Shaina felt the blood rush to her head with anger. She rushed to her cousin and tweaked her. "You animal, don't turn everything upside down!"

"Ahhhh... ouch! Grandma, help me!" Lovely shouted while holding her cousin's hand that was pulling her hair, acting like a loser.

"What the hell are you doing, Shaina? Don't hurt your cousin!"

Shaina ignored the pain from the old woman's palm after she hit her on the arm. Now she wanted to pour out all her anger on her cousin that was not released yesterday. She didn't want to let go of her hair, but someone squeezed her wrist. It even pushed her so she fell to the floor and hit her back on the sofa. Pain flashed in her eyes when she saw that Rex had done it.

"Will you stop embarrassing our family, Shaina? You should thank your cousin because she begged Rex to let me pick you up at that hotel!"

Shaina was almost deafened from her grandmother's voice. She burst into tears out of resentment. The old woman didn't even ask for her explanation and just judged her. Well, she is like this. Since her father is worthless in her eyes, she treats her the same way. Her cousins ​​are the only ones she likes, while she seems like a stain in the eyes of their family. In addition to her father being a headache to her, her mother was also allegedly picked up from the mud.

"Mama, what did you do to my daughter?"

Shaina started crying when she recognized her father's voice. It looks like he's from the same hotel as his women. But even so, her father loves her. He even asked her to stay at the mansion so her grandmother would like her.

"What else? And it's your fault that your daughter is acting like this! She's an heir to your wasted life! I would have been happy if she was with Rex, but she just ruined her bright future! What's even more embarrassing is that she used the money that-"

"It's not my fault that our relationship broke!" Shaina interrupted the old man's litany. "It's Lovely's fault that I did what I shouldn't have!"

Lovely quickly released her hand that was holding on to Rex's arm when the old woman's gaze turned in their direction. She was suddenly nervous, and their grandmother might believe Shaina. What she wants is to let out that Shaina cheated first so Rex will leave her. Of course, she didn't want the old woman to get angry with Rex, and she came out as a man snatcher.

"It's because of that girl that I thought of wasting the money that was meant for our wedding! They're cheating on me, Grandma! I caught them yesterday in bed!" Shaina pointed to Lovely and Rex.

Gabriel asked Rex and Lovely in a firm tone. "Are you two having an affair?"

"That's not true, Uncle!" Lovely refused in tears before turning to her cousin. "Shaina, why are you like this to me? Why do you blame me for the wrong you have done in your life? I am not flirtatious enough to steal the man my relative loves!"

Shaina clenched her fists and wanted to punch her cousin. And Rex? It looks like he's even gayer than Daisy now. He hides in Lovely's shadow and pretends to be a victim like her cousin.

Cristy grabbed her forehead, and suddenly her head hurt.

Gabriel quickly approached the mother and helped her sit on the sofa. "Shaina, that's enough. Go to your room first, and it's not good for your grandmother to be so angry."

Shaina was also worried about her grandmother's health and felt sorry for her. But before she could turn her back completely, Lovely's parents and her sister arrived. They seem to be from the church.

"What did you do, and Mama is like this?" Troy looked angrily at his brother and quickly wiped his mother's sweaty forehead.

"Daddy!" Crying, Lovely approached her father and hugged him.

Troy looked between Lovely and Shaina, who were both crying, and he wondered.

Disgruntled, Shaina looked away from her uncle. The only person who has considered her a true family member seems to be changing in view of her now. Her uncle is kind, but his wife is greedy, and this is the trait her cousins inherited from her.

"Let's talk about this carefully, whatever trouble is going on," Troy said calmly after the mother was given the medicine.

After Troy heard the entire story from her daughter, he stared at her niece with eyes filled with disappointment. How dare she drag their family into this kind of mess?

"Right. Because if my family hears about it, they will also be embarrassed."

If the stare was just poisonous, Shaina was sure that Rex's mouth would already be foaming. It turns out that her cousin's rotten personality has infected him. Everyone sympathizes with the young man's feelings, and she turns out to be a fraud.

The old woman expressed her final decision. "No one else should know about this! "

Lovely stared at the old man in disbelief.

Shaina sneered. She was not surprised by her grandmother's decision. Their family's reputation is more important to her than her feelings.

Rex shot the old man a confused look, but he couldn't speak.

"I'm apologizing on behalf of what my granddaughter had done to you. I know she also contributed somehow to your savings that she spent. I will pay for that and increase your share in my company in exchange for your silence."

Rex was insulted. It was as if the old woman was buying his dignity, but it was still in his favor. He cheated first without their knowledge, so it's okay that she didn't know about his relationship with her other granddaughter.

Shaina frowned as she stared at Rex. Only now did she realize that she was so stupid and she loved him. She did not see her motive in having a relationship with him. His family is also rich, but like her, his family also looks down on him. So he wants to prove himself in the field of business that does not rely on them. But without her help, he would not have become a shareholder in her grandmother's company.

"I will also be ashamed if this news comes out." Rex seemed to have no other choice.

"Why don't we send Shaina abroad instead? Then let's make it appear that they didn't make it because of the long-distance relationship. There will be no more issue with the divorce later on."

Together, they turned in Angeline's direction. Shaina saw how her grandmother smiled. She knows that she admires her other cousin's ability to think of strategy. Then she closed her eyes tightly, and her anger against her cousins ​​only increased. They will really find a way to get her out of the mansion, away from her grandmother.

"Well, my daughter thought of a better solution. One more thing, maybe what happened to you with that gay man will pay off and-" Troy couldn't finish the rest of what he wanted to say when Shaina interrupted.

"You should all be mad at me, but don't involve my friend in this. He didn't do anything bad to me, and even if he's gay, he's not a coward and exploitative!" Shaina felt that she suddenly had a heart attack and was exhausted because of anger. She darted an insulting gaze at Rex. She was sure that her last words affected him. And he deserved it!

"Shaina, don't raise your voice in front of your grandmother," Gabriel scolded his daughter.

Shaina angrily stood up and firmly said, "I agree if you want me to leave here, but you have to remember," she said and looked in Rex's direction. "You'll all regret what you did to me!"

Rex quickly averted his eyes from Shaina's sharp look at him. He's somehow felt guilty. And he wouldn't be able to see Shaina for the next few days, which made him sad. But he has to follow the flow.

Shaina did not explain again, and neither did they believe her. She has no evidence as proof of Rex and Lovely's betrayal. But when they caught her with her friend, they called it a betrayal. And what she did was shameful. That would be fine, but noticing her father's silence hurt her-he seems to be siding with her cousin after all.
