The drive was smooth and calm,he turned on the AC and it blew her effortlessly, she could swear she had never being into such expensive car in her entire life, and that alone led her the curiosity.
"I didn't know you own a car_"She muttered, more like a question.
A tiny smile curved his purplerish lips,as he extended his hands to touch her, but she moved her palms, shooting him a cold glare.
"Do you love it?"He asked referring to the car.
"Are the owner of the Car?"She asked again.
He fixed his gaze on the road. "No ...Wyn, it's my boss_"He replied calmly.
Wynter position herself to listen better." Your boss must be rich"She replied.
"Yeah ..the CEO of PINNACLE HOLDING'S"He replied.
She couldn't believe her eyes. "Wow...are you his secretary?"She asked.
"Nope, I just a messenger, my grade is really low in the company, am just like an intern"He explained.
Wynter stared blankly at him, then moved her gaze back to the windshield. "You don't seem pleased, with your job?"She asked.
"Are you pleased with my job, Wyn , I know you are not,i know you are expecting much"He replied, his voice low.
Wynter scoffed in disbelief." So what are you doing with your boss car, and why did you pick me up, what if he sees us together"She replied.
Malvern gave her a reassuring smile."No he won't bother, and let alone he's not gonna see us together, because am dropping you off soon"He points at a park.
"Yes stop me there, I'll trek the rest to work "She replied,as Malvern parked the car .
"Here you go, Wyn, have a nice day at work"He parks the car nearby.
"Thanks for your help, Malvern, I really appreciate it"She replied, getting off the car.
Malvern watched her alight from the car,he felt a ray of hardness in his heart,he felt he supposed not to have lied to her about his job or the real owner of the car. "Wait Wyn..."He held her shirt.
"What's that?"She asked.
"Can I pick you up,later in the day...?"He asked.
Wynter gave him a questioning look."And why do you think I'll allow that?"She asked.
Malvern felt a sharp piercing in his heart, but he forced her out a smile instead. "I'll stop by....so it up to you, if you'll wait for me or not"He replied.
Wynter rolled her eyes desecretly. "So Malvern, what happens when I don't stay behind for you, will you stop following me then?"She asked.
"I'll swing by this evening. I hope you'll be waiting for me, and I promise I won't be late."
"What's that, he didn't even say anything!"She muttered, walking into the main Mall.
"Wow, Wynter you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend actually"Tyler giggled from behind her.
Wynter's eyes narrowed, she realized Tyler might have seen Malvern drops her off earlier.
"That's not his car, it's his boss "She simply replied, walking off.
"Really Wynter, those things doesn't really matter, what matters is that you both love each other_"Tyler advised.

"Wow....Yes_! can't believe she let me drive her to work today"Malvern screamed to himself,as he opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate his first victory.
"Boss what are we celebrating?"Kyler asked, barging into the office without knocking.
He clenched his jaws, his gaze darken."Get back to where you are coming from, and knock!"He growled.
Kyler quickly dashed outside, in horror, she was scared as hell, seeing Malvern dark eyes send shivers. Though he had always warned her to knock before coming in, but she forgets it immediately.
Putting a soft knock."Sir it's me, Kyler, can I come in" She whispered.
"No Kyler, you can't come in, and you are suspended for A week!"He proclaimed.
"Sir_please, it's not gonna happen again"She sobbed by the door.
"Anymore words from you, I'll make it two weeks"He simply replied, settlings into the couch.
Hearing those words from him, Kyler turned around, and left, Malvern had always being the man of his words, so it's better she leaves, than provoking him more"
"Such a spoiler!"Malvern groaned, sipping from the champagne.
"YOU DON'T SEEMS PLEASED WITH YOUR JOB, DO YOU?"Wynter beautiful voice, resounded in his memory, sending shades and twinkling of worries over him.
He shuddered his shoulder, in Desatisfaction."Off course, I am pleased with my job,but I don't know about you"He signed deeply
Suddenly his phone rang, jolting him out of his wild thoughts."Shit!, who the hell is that?"He snapped, taking his phone from his pocket to check the caller, and behold it's Harrison, his close friend.
"Co'mon dude, you scared me!"He screamed immediately he,he swipe the green.
A mocking laughter followed."Dude wait,are you masturbating,this hot afternoon!"He mocked.
Malvern bite his lips, despite the pain, he kept his teeth glued, cause that technically the only way he's gonna help himself from getting angry. And frankly speaking,he's saying the truth.
"Can you be serious for once Harry"He replied.
"Wait dude I'm not the lier her here, we both know what you're capable of doing"He sneered.
Malvern couldn't take it anymore."Okay okay, I've had enough, why exactly did you call?"He asked, hastily.
"I called so we could hang out and have fun"He chuckled.
"No thanks!"He snapped, hanging up on him before he could reply.
"He's not a good friend, good friends don't do such?"He heaved, dropping his phone.
But suddenly the door barged open, Harrison bursting inside."How dare you hang up on me?"
"What the hell!, we're you here all this while?" Malvern asked surprised.
"Yeah, I was here and I saw how you kicked out you, secretary"Be muttered, sinking into the couch opposite Malvern.
"You look_ pale, what's wrong?"He asked, when he finally feel settled.
"Do I ?"He replied, even when he knows it's gonna be quite obvious.
"What's wrong, what happened? was it the girl from before?"He asked, taking a strawberry from the fruit basket on the table.
Malvern gaze narrowed."What girl, which girl are you talking about?"
"Don't act like you don't know what am talking about, what does she looks like?"Harrison asked.
"Harry, you should know I have lots of girls, ladies and women around me, and you know of what benefits they are to me!"He voiced out.
Harrison lied back, staring blankly at him, he studied his every move, the eyes roll, the movement of his lips, and the volume of his voice, and there he concluded; he's hiding something.
• 8:30 PM.
Wynter paced back and forth on the sidewalk, her finger tapping her lips as the other hand scratched her head. She had just closed up at work, but her mind was still preoccupied with the same topic that had been plaguing her all day. Malvern's words echoed in her mind:
"I'LL SWING BY THIS EVENING.I HOPE YOU'LL BE WAITING FOR ME, AND I PROMISE I WON'T BE LATE."
"God, should I wait or just take off?" she muttered to herself, still pacing.
"I'm a strong, independent woman; I shouldn't be so easily swayed. I'll just leave!" she declared, storming off, but then suddenly halted.
"If he shows up now and I'm not here, he'll definitely feel terrible," she reasoned, folding her arms tightly across her chest, her eyes closed.
"I'll just wait and be supportive... for now."
"Then I can be your liability forever," a deep voice said from behind.
