Chapter 4 Sherman neglected Clara

She left to Ava tomb at the burial ground with a flower in her hands. Clara kneeled with tears in her heart, looking at his picture, "You have left me alone in the world. Ava, my love, my heart beats for you. I think of you all the day. You mean a lot to me. I am here to present to you an amazing gift; please don't say no to it. Wake up and accept it. Please." She burst out into tears, with her head on his tomb.

She dropped the flowers on his tomb after waiting for a while without response. Clara left for her house.

She got home and thought about how to be more accessible to the Ava family. At thesame time promised to get married from among Ava family members.

"I am stuck with him; I can't forget about him. I have to choose a husband from his family. I don't mind involving Sherman in this; all I need is a man who has his blood and looks like him, someone to look into and see Ava in him." She pondered and said, "How then can I achieve this?" She asked and thought for a while. Little did she come up with an idea.

"I will work on him. I don't care how difficult it will be for me. All I know is that I will surely get to make him the man I want." She added.

She brought out her phone and put a call to her mother, whom she shared her secret with.

"Hello mother. How was the day and dad? I hope you are fine." She asked.

"Yes, my daughter, we are fine, but we missed you a lot. When will you be coming over for weekend? She asked with expectation.

"Not soon, mother,".she replied.

"Why won't you be coming for the weekend next week? Remember, we are to attend a family friend's wedding. You might get to catch up with a new fiance there." She said it with a smile.

"Mother that's not easy. I can't forget Ava in a hurry. He is the man I love, moreover, you sound like one who don't have feel of his disappearance." She answered in a quiet voice.

"He is gone, isn't that clear to you?" She asked him.

"But still afresh in my heart." Ava answered.

"Whatever." Evelyn sounded angry. "So what are your excuses for why you won't be coming for the weekend next week?"

"I feel not to. Mother, I need to spend it with the Lucas family. As well as make myself ready for the new album to be released on his name Ava name in remembrance of him" She responded, deviating from the main reason she had called.

"That shouldn't be an excuse. You have them all the time, and so does your song. Moreover, the connection you had with the family is gone; what else do you want?" Evelyn sounded with a loud voice.

"Nevermind mother. I promised to make it up to you next week." Clara, after saying this, cut the call on her mother.

"She cut the call on me." Evelyn said to herself,

She sat and thought of what to do, then she came up with an idea again,

She had a plan to catch his attention at the gym where he went every every Saturday. She worked hard to get in shape and ran all the way to the fitness center. There, she watched him exercise, admiring his muscles and his sweat. When he lifted his leg, she noticed something familiar.

"His leg hair looks just like Ava's, my late sweetheart," she whispered.

Sherman heard her and glared at her, annoyed by her presence. He focused on his workout and thought to himself, "What is she doing here?"

She hoped he would say something, but he remained silent and avoided her gaze. Later, she approached him while he was resting, holding a cup of hot chocolate with a straw in it.

"Hi," she said to him. He turned his face away and muttered, "Hmm."```

She tried to start a conversation with him, but he was not interested. He sipped his chocolate and looked at his phone, ignoring her questions and comments. She felt hurt and angry, wondering why he was so cold to her. She had done everything to get his attention. She decided to confront him and ask him why he was treating her so badly. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" she demanded. "Why are you acting like this? Don't you see how calm I am toward you?"

He pushed her away and shook his head in disgust. He stared at her with a mix of pity and anger, as he also She grabbed her arm and pulled him closer, forcing him to look at her. "Look, I don't know who you are or what you want from me, but you need to stop this madness," he said, getting crazy at her.

She felt weak and wouldn't know what to do. He denied her to everyone who had been watching them.

"Sherman, I only wanted to have a little time spent with you, like Ava." She said.

"I am not Ava; get that into your sense; he is my twin brother and his late." He faced her and said, "Not even on earth or beyond will I have time spent with you." He concluded and poured on her body the chocolate he was drinking. "No sense." He hissed and left.

Clara stood; she looked down where he had poured her the chocolate, as well as those watching. She pretended to put on a smile and wave hands at them, proving to be doing okay.

Clara walks slowly to her house, in a sad mood. She had the earpods off, struggling to pretend, yet she couldn't do that. She got home, got a glass of wine, and drank from it.

"Ha", she screamed, and she angrily hit the glass on the wall. "Sherman has the right to disgrace me in this manner, simply because I was looking for love-a man like Ava. Will I be able to change Sherman to the man to whom my heart belongs?" She said sitting on the cushion with her head bowed in between her legs. She left her head and laid it on the cushion. "I will do my best. I will take the insult to achieve my goal." She beat her chest and stood on the cushion to take a shower.
