Chapter 5 CLARA'S GAME

Clara had been flirting with Alex for weeks, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't seem to get his attention. She would bat her eyelashes, touch his arm, and make suggestive comments, but Alex just didn't seem interested.

Clara was determined to win Alex over, but as she watched him interact with Maya, she began to realize that her chances were slim. Alex seemed to light up around Maya, and Clara could see the way he looked at her - with a mixture of amusement and admiration.

Clara's eyes narrowed as she watched Alex and Maya laugh together. She was not going to let Maya steal Alex's attention without a fight.

Clara began to spread rumors about Maya, trying to tarnish her reputation and drive a wedge between her and Alex. She whispered to her friends about Maya's supposed "mean streak" and how she was "only using Alex for attention."

But no matter how hard Clara tried, Alex didn't seem to be buying it. He would just shrug off her comments and change the subject.

Clara was getting desperate. She needed to come up with a new plan, something that would really drive Alex and Maya apart.
